how we will transport a created request
from one server to another

Transport Request is generated in following scenarios:
1. Customizing Request - When doing or changing some customization.
2. WorkBench Request - When configuration is cross-client. Eg Generating new Table, making changes in access sequence, Abap development, etc.
Transport Request is released through SE10, to be transported to Quality & production server.
Configuration of Transport Request System is configured by Basis consultant. Basis Consultant is also responsible for transporting the Transport request from Development server to Quality & Production.
Transport request is not generated for Master Data. For eg: Customer Master, Material Master, price master, etc.
Benefit of Transport Request:
SAP Landscape normally has 3- Tier system:
Development Server - Where customization takes place. Transport request is generated at this level & then first transported to Quality server for testing whether it meets the requirement or not. Once the requirement is met in Quality server then Request is transported from Development Server to Production Server (Actual / Live System)
Quality Server - Mainly useful for testing.
Production Server Actual / Live server, where the real transactions are created & posted.

Go to transport connection select the infosources under it...select objects there select ur infoaource u want to transport-there is an option tpo change the paskage if u want...assign a new request..once the new request is aassigned...then go to SE10 and then release the request. Now its ready for transport.Normally after releasing the request the Basis guys transport the request.

Steps for capitalising the AUC to Asset

The user has already made the settlement of the internal order created for AUC (CWIP - Asset under construction). Still the amount is able to see in the AUC.
So what would be the reason for the amount lying in the AUC? and
what are the detail steps for transferring the AUC to Assets? (like internal order then its settlement and finally transferring to the Asset)

2. create Internal Order
3. Enter Budget for IO
4. Create Purchase Order
5. Account for GR
6. Post Invoice
7.Settlement of capex orders to AUC
8. Settlement of AUC to Final Asset
In your case you have completed steps till 7 . For finanl settlement, create final asset master and in the settlement rule specify this asset as settlement receiver for Finanl settlement. Now you might have created settlement rule only for AUC

Transport the created Storage Bin Automatic from develop to quality LS10

Hello,
My customer has created a new entry in LS10 u2013 Create Storage Bin Automatically in the development system with a transport order.
He forgot to do Environment u2013 Create bins. I did it with my user in the development system and SAP has created the bins automatically (the system creates and launch a batch-input). The system did not ask me for a transport order (I think because this created data is master data).
The user has transported the transport order from development to quality system but the Storage Bins are not in QAS. I told to the user that the Storage Bin are master data and we has to do Environment u2013 Create bins in each new environment but LS10 transaction has status 'not modifiable' in quality and production system.
There is a way to transport the created Storage Bin Automatically from development to quality and production? Now the user is asking me to have the Storage Bins in quality and production with access LS10 in status 'not modifiable'.

I could not transport them but I have created the storage bin directly in QAS with LS05 because LS10 is not available.

I am transporting the request from BI DEV to BI PROD. While transporting the request, do i need to replicate the datasources before transporting the request. Do i need to create Source systems before transporting the BI requests from DEV to Production..Pls Suggest.

Hi Siva,
If there is any changes done in data source. If yes then you need to transport the data source in source system and then replicate itin production system and then Transport your BW request.
What do you mean by create source system, it might already be created you do not have to create it. If source system is not existing in your BI then you need to create it by creating RFC connection.

Can i transport the repair Request?

hi,
We have a data osurce enhance with Two fields and is tranported to Production.
Now again we enhanced the same data source for the Third Field and wriitemn code for tit in Cmod.
When enhanceing , it is asking a request and we have given it .
Now if see this request in SE03.
We find that (the newly created request for the third field ) as task request under the main request which is already tranported .
and
This request is REPAIR Type.
Now my Question is ,
Can we tranport only this request(repair request ) directly to production. or not.?
Do we need merge this request to the already tranported request and then tranport?if yes please tell me steps.
OR
Pleae tell me a solution to get third field also into my production system.

Little deviation in above question: simply
Datat source 2lis_03_bf with 2 enanced fields(via append str) wtih CMOD code transported to production.It's ok in prod.
Now i added new field to above append str and again wrote new piece of code in CMOD. I created one req for datasource at RSA6 level, with a task request as repair at append str level. Now hierarchy of change req is
Req1-task1(rsa6 changes) :
Req1-task2(appnd str changes) - (i have seen task2 description as repair in se09, Is it causes any problem if transport repair task to prod..ie. can i get new field to production sys append str). can anyway turn task descripton of repair to dev/correction. Usually first time task we get description as dev/correction, but second time task onwards for particular objects we get repair.

I did check the transaction mentioned by you. But it din't help in my scenario.
I got the sloution for my problem,
we have two tables for forecast profiles, i,e /SAPAPO/DP440G and /SAPAPO/DP440P (these gets updates as and when we create a forecast profiles ) ,
we have to add the entries from this table for the particular forecast profile into the transport request and then we have to transport those requesets , then the profiles would be transported accordingly.

are you sure you modified a standard SAP object. /1BCDWB/ prefix is common with all quick view reports - they are local and user-specific. You can convert a quickview to query to report. Using a modification key you may add it to the standard - choose a package as you prefer. But better copy the generated query report to customer name space - because it never was and never will be SAP standard. If it is in customer name space, release changes are no problem at all.

Steps for making the changes in DC and checking into NWDI

I am new to the NWDI
I have some questions related to the NWDI and NWDI integration manggement.
We have some set of SC's got from some team. Now we need to upload to our NWDI .For that I have done the following steps.
I have created some track in the CMS.
I have loded that SC in to the track.
I have imported that track in to the NWDS.
The track which imported contains the SC , this SC contains some DC's .
for getting the project in to the local mechine.
In the DC prospective -> Inactive DCs -> done the right click on the respective DC's and choosen as Create project option. Then i am able to see the DC project in the webdynpro prospective.
Now the project in the local mechine see the code and i need to rebuild and deploy .
What are steps need to be done. Please provide the step by step information for doing this

Follow this:
1.Import a development configuration.
The first step for you as a developer is to import an appropriate development configuration. The development configuration is your connection to the NWDI. By importing a development configuration, you get access to all resources relevant for your work without having to search for the right sources, libraries and servers.
2.Select the components you want to develop.
In the Development Configurations perspective, you can create projects for existing components to add them to your development list, The development environment automatically loads the required source files and archives into your local file system and tries to build the selected components locally
3. Create new components.
You can use the Development Configurations perspective also to create new components .Create the new component directly in the DTR. The development environment may propose a change list ("activity") or prompt you to create a new activity to be used to record the creation of the component.
4.Synchronize the source files and libraries.
From time to time, you should resynchronize your local sources and libraries with the NWDI to receive the most up-to-date changes of other developers.
5.Change the component sources.
Before you can change a source file, you must make the intended change known to the DTR (to check out the file) and agree on an activity to record the change. You can create a new activity or use an existing one.
6.Edit components.
Depending on the type of the component you develop, you can perform components development using the Java, J2EE, WebDynpro, Dictionary or any other suitable perspective.
7. Release the changes for the central build.
After checking the changes in, you can pass them to the Component Build Service (CBS), that is, you perform the activation process.
8.Release the changes in the development landscape.
After a successful activation, pass your changes to the Change Management Service (CMS) of the NWDI, which transports your changes within the development landscape, for example, between a development system and a consolidation system.

Can anyone give me the steps for moving the repository databases in 9.3.0?

We are in the 9.3.0 environment and I need to move the four repository databases for essbase, biplus and webanalysis/workspace to a new machine. I tested moving the databases and rerunning the config util, but I lost my sample reports I created earlier. Does anyone have a step by step procedure for moving the repositories?

If you are moving reports why don't you bulk export them from workspace and then import them into your target.
Are you talking about migrating the repository across different shared services environments, if so then I doubt you will have much luck with trying to migrate the workspace repository as it pretty tied in with shared services.

I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to accomplish, but I can give you some guidance on getting the status of activities that are part of a service request.

Regarding the rest of your post, I'm not sure what you meant when you said you wanted the "change of activity". Are you trying to display the time that an activity's status changed (stored in the activity's history records)?
Second, if you're displaying this information on some other custom portal, what is the purpose for the workflow?
A couple disclaimers: Use this code at your own risk, there are no guarantees, etc etc :) Second, I'm assuming you're on Service Manager 2012 RC at least (otherwise the "versions" in the code will need to be changed)
Are you new to the SCSM SDK? If so, this code snippet might seem overwhelming. I recommend reading the Service Manager blog to get an idea about how classes, objects, relationships, type projections, etc all work.

Steps for Refresh the Test Database with cold-backup

Hello everybody !
Can any body write me the steps to referesh the test db ( T1 -> already there) from the cold backup of production database ( P1 on another machine ) . all the datafiles are there available in the backup of production ..controlfile or redolog files are not available of production database. Both databases are 9.2.0.8 and are on different machines with same OS of AIX.

Steps
1.) Before Shutting down P1 DB for cold back execute
alter database backup controlfile to trace;
2.) copy the created the trace file from udump to test server
3.) shutdown the P1DB and take cold backup containing all datafiles
4.) Copy dbf to test servers
5.) Edit trc file copied in step no 2
6.) As you are changing the name of db use option SET ( in place of REUSE)
7.)Also remove unwanted portion
8.) Change the name of trc file to <somthing>.sql
9.) Startup test db in nomount stage
10.) run the above created sql
11.) tHis will create controlfiles, place db in mount stage
12.) issue alter database open reset logs
13) add tempfiles to temp tbsp

Report for tracing the Appropriation Request

In the case of Projects created in the background after approval of the Appropriation Request-Do we have any report wherein we
can trace the related appropriation request number if we know the project code? (like ME5J or ME2J for PRs and POs)

Our users also had the same requirement but I could not find standard report.
So I did a simple SQVI report joining PRPS & IMAKZ tables.
Another way,
Simply you can find the appro.request(AR), just open project in CJ20N
->select the WBS that link AR.
-> CRT+shift+F4( Menu Edit->WBS element-> Investment Progrms.->Investment program)
->then infor message come & click in question mark to see infor, there also system gives the AR that related to current WBS.
