  • Steps to define new delivery type

    Hi ,
I want to know that, what is the complete step to define the new delivery type ,that can be use in exsiting order type to complete the sales cycle process.
    Regards
    Prabudh

    Consignment Stock Processing:
    Consignment Stock Processing
    Purpose
Consignment goods are goods which are stored at the customer location but which are owned by the company. The customer is not obliged to pay for these goods until they remove them from consignment stock. Otherwise, the customer can usually return consignment goods that are not required.
Consignment Fill-Up: Consignment fill-up replenishes the stock at the customer site. Since the goods remain the property of the company, this process is not relevant for pricing and consequently not for invoicing either.
Create a sales order using order type KB.
Enter the required data on the customer, the consignment goods and the delivering plant.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a delivery as the subsequent document for this sales order and, after picking has been completed successfully, post goods issue.
The underlying goods movement type is a stock transfer. This ensures that when goods issue is posted, consignment special stock is created for the customer concerned. If special stock of this kind already exists in the delivering plant for this customer, the goods are posted to this special stock.
Order type: KB (document category C: sales order)
    Std. Delivery type: LF
Item category: KBN (not relevant for pricing and billing)
Schedule line category: E1 (relevant for deliveries, uses availability check, 631 (GI consignment: lending) to post the stock into a special consignment category in the delivering plants stock for that particular customer and material)
Copy control rules for the sales doc, item category, and schedule line category.
Use trans MB58 or MMBE to check the stock.
Consignment Issue: The Consignment issue enables the customer to withdraw consignment goods from the special stock that are to be used or sold.
Create a sales order using order type KE.
Enter the required data for the customer, the consignment goods and the plant to which the goods are to be returned.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a delivery as the subsequent document for this sales order and, after picking has been completed successfully, post goods issue.
The goods are then reduced by the relevant quantity in the special stock assigned to the customer. This goods issue also reduces your total stock.
Invoice the delivery which issues the consignment goods.
Order type: KE (document category C: sales order)
    Std. Delivery type: LF
    Invoice: F2
Item category: KEN (relevant for pricing and deliver related billing, special stock indicator W, should determine cost too)
Schedule line category: C1 (relevant for deliveries, uses availability check, 633 (GI issue: customer consignment)
Consignment returns: proceed as follows: Consignment returns enable your customer to return goods to the consignment stock that has already been issued from it.
Create a sales order using sales order type CR.
Enter the required data on the customer and the consignment goods.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a returns delivery for the sales order (the system automatically chooses delivery type LR). The goods issue posting cancels the goods issue posting which was carried out when the consignment goods were issued. This posting records the return of the goods to the plant where goods receipt was carried out.
Create a credit memo for the consignment return you created in Step 1.
Order type: KR (document category H: returns)
    Delivery type: LR
Credit for Returns Order type: RE (delivery or order related billing)
Item category: KRN (relevant for pricing and deliver related billing, special stock indicator W
Schedule line category: D0 (relevant for deliveries, no availability check, 634
Consignment Pick-Up: The company uses consignment pick-up to take back consignment goods that are faulty or excess materials that the customer does not need. This process is not relevant for billing since the goods remain the property of the company.
It may be beneficial to have a mandatory reference such as the consignment fill-up. In addition to it copy control rules can be used to further control it. In the copy control rules indicate the document flow. As the stock is coming back into the warehouse or plant, you can specify a returns shipping point to be automatically determined. No invoice is necessary, as the goods are not changing ownership.
Create a sales order using order type KA.
Enter the required data for the customer, the consignment goods and the plant to which the goods are to be returned.
Enter all other relevant data and save the order.
Create a returns delivery for the sales order (the system automatically chooses delivery type LR). The transaction is completed by the goods issue posting which initiates a transfer posting from the customer's special stock to your plant stock.
Order type: KA (document category C: sales order)
    Delivery type: LR
    No invoice
    Item category: KAN
Schedule line category: F1 (relevant for deliveries, availability check against the stock on the customer’s consignment, 632 (Consignment pickup)
    Reward points if useful

  • New to Mac - cannot get past step 1 - installing new printer software!

Hello - just bought my first new iMac and an HP B110 wireless printer. Printer connected and basic printing fine - but the HP software on CD that allows you to add utilities to configure printer for double-sided printing etc does not appear to install. Installing the same CD on a windows machine makes all the HP utilities available - but they just don't install or even get prompted for installation when put into the Mac? I am therefore unable to use the full capabilities of the printer. Can anyone help here please. PS - it's supposed to be easier than this - isn't it?

    Ateeq,
Use lp command on Unix/Linux, and on Windows use print command.
    Windows:
    print /D:\\<server_name>\<printer_name> <file_name>
    Unix/Linux:
    lp -d <printer_name> -n<copies> <file_name>Where file_name is the concurrent request output file.

I believe Oracle Apps does not come with seeded drivers/styles for Lexmark printers, so you may need to try with different predefined styles/drivers. Also, contact your vendor and see if they have any clients with this printer configured on Oracle Apps.

  • EBS R12: Product licensing related questions

    Hi,
I was asked to activate two new products in EBS R12.1.3 DEV environment. Before this, I made a backup of the system.
In License Manager, before the activation:
    - Product #1 was in state "Shared"
    - Product #2 was in state "Not Licenced"
Does state "Shared" mean that product #1 was partly active from those parts that are required by other licensed products? If yes, does state "Shared" have any license costs? I.e. do I need to buy a license for "Shared" product?
    After activation:
    - both products are in state "Licensed".
Unfortunately, Product #1 should have stayed in state "Shared" as we need only those parts that are required by other products.
Does this mean that I need to buy licenses for both products? Or is it possible leave Product #1 in "Licensed" state and use only its functionalities that are shared with other products? We do not want to buy license for Product #1.
I understood from the old threads that the only options for deactivating product are:
    - restore the system from backup
    - create an SR to Oracle and they MAY give you a onetime script to disable the products.
    Is this still the case?
Could you advise what would be the best course of action?

If you do not want to buy a license then revert back from the backup so Product #1 will be Shared again.

Could you advise what would be the best course of action?I would suggest you restore the files from the backup as this is the fastest/easiest way. If you have time, you could put this on hold and log a SR and see if there is a way to revert back the changes without restoring from the backup.

  • EBS R12 Database Copy or clone - init.ora, and spfile conflict...

    Hi All,
    I am a report developer. I have two servers(VMs)
    Server1: Win 2008, Oracle EBS R12.1.1. (db_name = vis)
    Server2: Win XP SP3, Oracle 11g R1 (db_name = orcl)
My goal is to copy the whole EBS R12.1.1 Vision Instance database (VIS) on Server1 to Server 2 Oracle Database....And please note that I need only data in those schemas - I use that to run ETL scripts, so, on Server2 I am not going to run any EBS Applications(Forms, or reports or others).
In order to do this I am http://www.dba-oracle.com/oracle_tips_db_copy.htm method.
During the process I have encountered an issue - Server1 (VIS) database uses initVIS.ora file as parameter file, where as Server 2 uses SPFILE.ORA as parameter file.
in Step8 we have to copy the init.ora file from EBS R12 to Server2, but this doesn't help me as server2 use spfile.
please give me your suggestions to solve this gap......
    Thanks!

  • Unable to Define EBS R12 Data Load Mappings in FDMEE

    Hi,
I am trying to integrate EBS R12 and HFM using FDMEE 11.1.2.3.500. Here are the steps that I followed:
    a. Configured the EBS_DATA_SERVERS and PHYSICAL SCHEMAS in ODI to point to EBS Instance using APPS User
    b. Defined EBS R12 Source System and Clicked INITIALIZE. (Validated that the Initialization Process is completed without any Errors)
    c. Selected the Approriate SOURCE ACCOUTING ENTITIES for R12 Source System
Now, when I define a new IMPORT LOCATION, I am unable to see any EBS related SOURCE SEGMENTS under DATA LOAD MAPPING Grid under Import Format
Is there something done incorrectly? Also strangely, I dont even see any RESPONSIBILITIES in the SOURCE ACCOUNTING ENTITES when I want to define the Drill Through feature
    Thanks,
    Mohit

One reason that you might not see entries in the segments drop down is due to the entries being filtered according to browser language or FDMEE user language settings for localization purposes. You might want to try adjusting the Setup > User Settings > User Language in FDMEE to see if that can make the segments appear.
We've got a US English EBS 12 source system to test with and if I change Setup > User Settings > User Language in FDMEE to something other than English United States then save and go back to the import format screen, segment drop down boxes are now completely empty. If I change back to en-us then they're back again. I believe that either the browser accept language or the User Language setting in FDMEE needs to match the 'base language' on the source system registration screen.
With a bit of luck that might be it

  • EBS R12 Shared Printer Setup

    Hi guys
We are using EBS R12 (12.0.6) and the environment is linux 64bit (RHEL 5.x). Right now all our concurrent jobs are producting .pdf outputs for Sales Orders, RMA etc. Our trading (retail) sector has a performance issue due to the time waiting for the pdf to popup and then to print etc.
Hence we are analyzing the possibilities of sending the outputs straight to the printers (at present no printers are configured) to avoid the above said situation.
Most of our showrooms are using shared printers (LQ-850, Epson dot matrix) which are shared minimum between two salesmen. Please let me know once the printers are setup with the application, how the print jobs will be completed. ie, whether the application will automatically popup the print dialog box with default printer selected etc.
    Thanks and regards,
    raj

I fixed this by choosing another printer protocoll by printer setup. HP protocoll fixed it. In the server manager I chose IPP. An everything worked fine after that.
