  • Inter-Company accounts tax relevance

    Hi
This is more a Finance question related to SAP. I am aware that Inter/Co trnasactions are not normally tax relevant (E.g. Company A sells products to Co B).
However, we have a scenario, where one company pays (with tax ) for certain outside supplyon behalf of another I/Co. The I/Co accounts are created as "Not tax relevant" and hence the system is throwing an error message (I/C account does not allow P1).
In my opinion, in this scenario, the I/Co accounts need to be tax relevant. I would like to know best practice approach.
    Thanks
    NW

    Hi,
You can use the tax processing in the intercompany scenario.
This is normal as the company paying to outsider pays the tax also and then recover the total amount from the other company.

  • STO inter company  quary

    Hai SAP gurus,
i hve gone through your STO thread but i fail to understand the meaning of ,,
    3. Create receiving plant as a customer in supplying plants company code and sales area XD01
    Kindly please do elaborate it.
    Rahul

    Hi
CCSTO is cross company so it is like normal purchasing and selling.
In this one plant is selling the goods and the other plant is buying the goods.
There fore you can see that always the document type is NB in CCSTO.
Hope this is what you are looking for that why we have to maintain the customer master of recieving plant ?
Selling is under the Domain of SD so Sales area is coming into picture as customer can be inside group or Outside group ? For CCSTO( i.e . Cross compny code STO) customer generally is IG.

  • Tax code Blank on Inter-company Accounting Document

The Tax code field in Intercompany Accounting Document is Blank though MWST has A0 ( Zero Tax) as tax code but PR00 & PI01 have no tax codes . The Accounting document of Commercial Invoice has tax code  A2 which has MWST & PR00 with tax code A2 ( Full tax) & PI01 as Blank, even at the time of condition record creation for PR00 & PI01 there is no place to enter tax code as these I believe come from customer master record - tax classification. the customer record for Sales Org Ireland has been maintained as Tax exempt.
    Sales Flow-
Irish Customer orders to Sales Org Ireland
Sales Org Ireland  - has Plant UK as delivery plant- delivers goods to customer
Sales Org Ireland Invoices - Irish customer with correct tax code
Sales Org UK creates Intercompany Invoice to Sales org Ireland with blank tax code in accounting doc
IV Invoice creates RD04 with fullprocessed IDoc in Ireland which does correct Invoice verificiation posting in Ireland.
the only problem is when UK creates IV invoice the a/c document generates has tax code as blank where it should with A0 ( tax exempt) code.
    Kindly help

    Use SAP Note 10560 & 112609

  • Inter company posting - Accounting entry

    Hi,
I need some clarification on the logic behind the inter company accounting entry.
    Issue is as below:
My client tries to post an inter company accounting entry between co.code:ABC &XYZ as below
    40    100000a/c(dividend payable)         ABC    1000 u2013 balance sheet a/c
    50    200000A/C (Investment income)     xyz     1000  - profit & loss a/c   - cost center 10010 u2013 profit center 10010
100000a/c(dividend payable - is a balance sheet account
200000A/C (Investment income) - is created under profit and loss group
Our client is tried to post an intercompany as above. While posting of the above entry they got a message that profit center 10010 is not assigned to co.code ABC.  But my client is asking, why I should enter either cost center or profit center details in balance sheet account.
Co.code: ABC was not assigned to profit center 10010.
If we try to enter either a cost center or profit center in the first line item related to gl account 980630, we are able to post the entry.
Can someone suggest me the logic behind this entry?
My client is working on ECC 5.00 with New GL
    Thanks in advance
    Prasad

    Hi
The issue is with the Document spliting logic.
You client should have enabled the inheritance indicator in the New G/L configuration. So by the way of the configuration he would have done (Assigning the G/L for doc splitting & the relevant document types), when he is entering the CC/PC for the revenus line item of 1 company code the system will inherit that PC to the dividend payable G/L of the 2nd company code.
During the above step the system will check whether the PC is assigned to the 2nd Compnay code. During this check the system is throwing error as mentioned by you.
Answer to your clients question regarding why to enter the PC / CC for the balance sheet Item
For the balance sheet item there is no need to enter the cost center, but when it comes to profit center,(There should be a configuration, which makes the PC as mandatory - as part of the document splitting configuration, Based on this configuration the system will expect the PC in all the line item) based on the above mentioned configuration you have to enter the Profit center.
Hope this clarifies your question. If you need further info in finding the relevat config details kindly let me know.

*1st Error -Material 1 not maintained in Plant 2.
2nd Error - Customer 1 does not exist (please check entry in plant 1)
3rd Error - Not possible to determine shipping data for material1)*
i couldnt find out the error................................
Here is the configuration done by me......
    Company codes:c1,c2
    Plant for c1:p1
    Plant for c2:p2
I m going to create and transfer stock from p2 to p1.
Here i m using stock transport order with billing(SD)
    Purchase org for c1:porg1
    Vendor for c1,porg1:v1
I assigned plant p2 in additional purchase data of vendor v1.
    Sales area for c2:sorg2,ds2,d2
    Customer for sales area(sorg1,ds1,d1):cust1
Now i go to mm->purchasing->purchase order->setup for stock transport order
    > for receiving plant p1 i assign cust1,sales area(sorg1,ds1,d1)
    > delivery type for supplying plant:NLCC
    >checking rule RP.
i assigned doc.type UB into receiving plant p1 and supplying plant p2.
Then, in ME21N used doc type UB, these r the errors::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
*1st Error -Material 1 not maintained in Plant 2.
2nd Error - Customer 1 does not exist (please check entry in plant 1)
3rd Error - Not possible to determine shipping data for material1)*
    I already maintained all this.
The doc type NB also I tried ,,,,,,,but same errors r being shown.
Also where to create the inter company a/cs for billing?
Please check the attached file for the error and let me know.

    ●     Vendor master u2013 supplying plant
Create the vendor for the purchasing organization of the receiving plant.
Assign the vendor to the supplying plant in the vendor master record.
From the menu, choose Logistics ® Materials Management ® Purchasing ® Master Data ® Vendor ® Purchasing ® Change (Current). Go to the Purchasing View and choose Extras ® Additional Purchasing Data.
    ●     Customer master u2013 receiving plant
Create a customer master record for the receiving plant. From this, both the address and the data that is relevant for shipping point determination, such as transportation zone and shipping condition are taken.
From the menu, choose Logistics ® Sales and Distribution ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Customer ® Create.
    The above is from help.SAP:

Plz check this link for tht information.
So, basing on this: I have customer 1 and vendor 1 for CC1......
--> Customer 1 is assigned to the receiving plant with sales area1 in setup STO configuration.
--> Vendor 1 is assigned to the supplying plant in the vendor master.
--> My question for u is:
      1)  In ME21N, in the vendor field u assign the vendor from CC1 or CC2 (Because it says the vendor - external supplier if u read in F1 in tht vendor filed)
Company code , Purc Org, plant all this will be from CC1 in ME21N, right?????????
Material exists in both the plants P1 and P2.......right?????
    2) How to configure the inter - company accounts for the billing in sd for this STO scenario.???
    Please clarify these things.....
You will be appreciated and rewarded too.

  • Acc Entrie in Inter Company STO

    Dear All,
What are the acc entries we need to get in case of Inter Company STO, like when we do the GR against PO we will get Stock acc Dr & PL-vendor will get Cr.
I want to know for these below transactions....
When we do the Goods Issue from Supplying Plant/CC
When we do the Billing from Supplying plant
When we do the GR in the receiving plant
    When we post the invoice
    regds,
    CB

    Hi,
Generally...Inter company STO...everybody follows Two Step Method only.
    The entries are:
1.Intra-Company STO -  One Step Method
At Supp.Plant: Stock Acc. BSX is Credited
At. Rec.Plant : Stock Acc. BSX is Debited
If you maintain Std. at Rec. Plant and if there is any Price Diff., then Price Diff. Acc.( AUM) will be triggered....
Here all the Acc.Doc. will be generated while doing PGI only.....No Acc. Doc. will be generated at GR...
    2. Inter Company STO - Two step Method:
    At Supplying .Plant....While doing PGI..:
    Stock acc. BSX is Credited
Cost of Goods sold Acc.(VAY) is Debited(+)
At. Receiving Plant While doing GR:
    Stock Acc. BSX is Debited(+)
    GR/IR Clearing Acc is Credited
If you maintain any Std. Price and if there is any price Diff. then Price Diff. Acc will be triggered...

  • Accounting entry Inter company issue of goods as Sample

    Dear SAP expert
We have a process to issue Finshed goods to vendor for testing purpose.
For this, I am issuing a finished goods for testing purpose to vendor (another company code  in same group) .
At that stage accounting entry for goods issue is
    Cost of sales Debit
To : Finished goods inventory credit.
We have created a PO of  cross company code  type and created a outward delivery  for cross company code replenishment.
IF we change and add VQP general modifier in GBB transaction type  then all material issue of such material will be accounted as testing expenses  . However there may be some material transactions which are not sample but sale of finished goods ,  i have explore all options in OBYC but not sure what to do .
Company is not using valuation type functionality.
*Please suggest a way out to book expenses as Testing expenses whenever finished goods are issued as sample.*

    Hi all
Is there any risk in doing the account determination through User exit in such a scenario. I have found a user exit  EXIT_SAPMM07M_001 and include z_mm_exit_zxmbcm02_05 as useful instead of mapping the whole process for this transaction.
This user exit is working fine. Any risk people feel in bypassing OBYC through User exit.

  • Inter company STO-how to reduce the stock where no physical stock is kept in receiving plant

    Dear All,
I am facing one issue. Suppose if there are two plants belongs to two company codes A & B.Plant A is in TN & Plant B is in AP (both belongs to two different states). Plant B is the place where no physical stock is kept, it is a place where JJ form & other documents are given to the vehicle to move it to other state. From there it ll move to end customer.
In plant A stock reduce-- inventory credit
                                        COGS----Debit
In plant B stock increase=---Inventory debit
                                             GR/IR--credit
Now my problem is in plant B no stock is kept, my client wants to reduce the inventory automatically without any manual entry (since no stock in plant B)
Can i use MB1A to reduce the stock automatically & what would be the actual entry for that. How to offset the other account which is getting debited against inventory?.
    Regards
    Subbu.

    Hi,
It seems to be a combined scenario of third party and inter company STO scenario, where you want to send the send the stock directly to your customer. Standard SAP doesnt support the third party scenario for a vendor assigned to the plant. The standard design is well explained in the note: 1918552 - Third Party Purchase in Cross Company STO: error 06769
If you dont want to update the stock in the receiving plant, use a consumption account assignment category (like K) in the intercompany STO, so that the stock will be directly consumed. But one question - how do you map the goods issue to the customer and the outgoing excise invoice? Could you please share the details.
    Regards,

    Hi,
In Shipping data for plants assign the customer number which you created
    Check the following
    1) MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> Define shipping data for plants > select the Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    2) MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> Define shipping data for plants > Select Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    This will solve your error
