Stock and NON-Stock Items procurement

Hi,
Please let me know why classic scenario cannot be used fpor Stock items and Extended classic can be used for both stock and non-stock items.
What is the exact difference.
Regards,
Manu

Hi Sanjeev,
Thanks for the reply.
But if PR is transferred to SRM from MM and classic scenario is used and the resultant PO is created in MM then will transfer the PR with/without account assignment.
Pls let me know.
Thanks,
Manu

  • How to identify Inventory and non inventory items

    Dear all,
what are the ways to differentiate inventoried and non inventoried items.
    please advise. thanks.
    Thanks and regards
    Udaya

he means the purchase order item category which can be seen in transaction ME23N.
You never made clear if you want differentiate in SAP or the physical stock in the warehouse.
As already explained by another one, in SAP you can procure one material number either to stock or to be expensed immediatly while receiving.
However, physically you dont see any difference, you have to take organizational measures to not store expensed material together with material procured to stock.
Even further, you should try to receive items which are not procured to be stored, at a different physical receiving place.
In MIGO transaction at item detail in tab WHERE you will see a storage location if the material is to be stored in your warehouse, but you will not see a location if the material is procured directly to a project or cost center. then you see a receipient instead .

  • Reset & reverse document with open item managed and none open item managed

    Dear forum,
I would like to confirm the below.
If i have a posted document where the double entry has open item managed account and none open item managed account and where the open item managed account is cleared, how can i reverse this document.
The problem now is FBRA cannot reset and reverse (as the document partly has none open item managed account) and FB08 also cannot reverse (as part of the account is open item managed account and it is cleared).
Besides manually reverse via FB01, any other method?
    Thanks
Moderator: Please, avoid asking basic questions

Which document are you trying to clear using FBRA?  You should reset the "clearing document" using FBRA; not the original document that has one open item and one non-open item.  Once you reset the clearing document using FBRA, you should then be able to reverse the original document (the one that has one open item and one non-open item) using FB08.

  • IFRS requirement - Current and Non Current items

There are 5 GL accounts (like loan to employess, car loans, etc)
These GL will have both items - current items and non current items
There are two seperate ledger created - Leading is IGaap GL and non-leading is IFRS ledger
Let me know how this procedure i suggested in SAP
My view was to create all these GL accounts again (for current items) and pass the entry for the required amount to that GL account. Then place that GL in appropriate place in FSV
    Any other view?

    Hi,
    My suggestion would be,
    Step
    1. First creat all GL account as normal ones
    2. Then creat GAAP adjustment GL accounts which ever is needed as per your client.(Current and Non Current items)
    3. Then creat IFRS related adjustment GL accounts which ever is needed as per your client.(Current and Non Current items)
Then Creat 2 FSV. one with Normal GL and GAAP related GL and another Normal GL and IFRS related GL account.
In this case as per the business need the user will be able to take their trail balance both in GAAP and in IFRS.
This I feel is the best solution for you where you will not face any probelm in the future.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • Cash flow monetary and non monetary item

    hi,
1 may i know what are those considered as non monetary item?
2 as cash flow statement has monetary and non monetary item, then what is the difference of cash flow statement with p&l or balance sheet statement?
    thanks

    Hi
Maybe you already found out - but the module you need to use to perform the cash flow analysis, is the liquidity planner modules. These consist of the Liquidity calculation module in the FSCM area for extracting the real cash flows based on bank accounts and then re assigning the amounts to the needed cash flow structure - and for nice and flexible reporting you need SAP BW.

  • Both excisable and non-excisable items are in a same location (Warehouse)

What will be best solution for the client (of SAP B1 2007 B PL7), those who have both excisable and non-excisable items are in a same location (Warehouse)...??...Is there any need to create two warehouses?... but how will be the excisable setting???

    Hii Das
The best solution would be only to create two diffrent ware house for excisable and non excisable
, to avoid unneccesary confusions, and to stay away from un avoidable errors

  • Non stock items procurement with excise duty

    Dear Experts,
We are using TAXINJ procedure , For non stock (without material master) items procurement , we are manataing tax codes with BED 10  % ECESS 2% and SECESS 1% and in J1ID excise rate mantaning with CHAPTER ID , but in the case of non stock items there is no material master so there is no chapter id for that , even i have mantained without material id and chapter id combination also , but while creating PO with this taxcode excise duty are not caluclating ,  please tell me what we need to do caluclate excise duty for non stock items.

Hi chandu, you maintain a A blank material in J1ID ( ONLY SPACE under material coulmn) and other details as usual.
    You issue will be resolved.
    for eg
    s.no___Material__________________plant_____Chap id ____mat typ
1___    blank( dont enter anything) ___1000_______ abc_____ Raw material
    2.____ 100-100___________________1000______ xyz_____Raw material

  • Asset procurement & Non stock item procurement

    Hi,
I want to procure Asset items. For that do i need to maintain asset master & material master both. Than create Purchase order with AAC as A. Will the PO be framework order or standard PO?Can anyone pls let me know the steps
Also for non stock items do i have to do GR. In that case the goods are coming to stock as i have to give storage location during migo. What is the procedure?

    Hi,
For procuring Assets, you will have to maintain Asset master & material master both in your system. You place a PO for the material (which you define as your asset & want to capitalize) & maintain AAC as A- Asset. Then at the item level, you assign the asset code to the masterial. After you post the GRN, the debit entries are posted to the asset.
You have to post the GR for non stock items as well as stock items. The non stock item will be consumed dirctly to the acount assignment you have mentioned. For stock item, the inventory posting will be done. For stock item, the storage location will flow from the PO (if mentioned) otherwise you will have to post it yourself at MIGO in tab 'Where' at Storage Location'.

  • Purchasing - A/P Transaction Processing for Services and Non Inventory Item

On of the main areas of concern that businesses have is in the area of Purchasing, Goods Receipts and AP Invoices Processing - There is a requirement that businesses have widely referred to as 3-way matching.
While SAP Business One has this functionality covered quiet well via the following, there is still some need for enhancements so that the application can correctly reflect the AP Accruals:
    - Purchase Order processing with Approval Process (if configured)
    - Ability to perform Goods Receipts for Services.
    - Matching of AP Invoices to Goods Receipts with AP Invoice Approval Process (if configured)
The above transactions serve the 3-way matching quiet well for all purchases however when it comes to accuring for Services that have been provided, the application does not do this. The Goods Receipt transaction processing to acknowledge the service delivery is allowed however the related posting to the allocation account is missing.
The process that is followed by the application is same for Items that have not Inventory Items in Item Master.
As a result of the above, the business have to manually work out what the Accurals for services provided but not invoiced should be.
With little enhancement to the product this shortfall could very easily be overcome.

    Hi,
Once there are transactions, we cannot make existing Inventory type item to Non Inventory type item.
Check SAP note:937297 which states as follows :
    Symptom
Changing the status of the Inventory Item checkbox (in Item Master Data) for items with inventory transactions and documents, might lead to inaccuracies in the calculations of inventory value.
    Other terms
Inventory Item, Non-inventory Item, Item Master Data, Continuous Stock, Perpetual Inventory, Inventory Valuation, 2004, 2005, 2005 A SP01
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Consulting Note
    Solution
The status of an item (Inventory Item/Non-Inventory item as selected in the Inventory Item checkbox in the Item Master Data window), cannot be changed once an A/P, A/R, or Inventory document is posted for the item.

  • Secure and Non-secure Items

Is anyone else getting a "secure"/"non-secure" items warning when iTunes is being launched from a webpage?
The page with the problem lives on "https://deimos.apple.com". I don't think that I can fix the problem locally, but the warning stops iTunes from launching and some of my users are getting upset.
It looks like the solution could be a quick fix, the address to the .css file, and some of the images is "http://deimos.apple.com" (NO "S" in the httpS://deimos...).
How can I report this type of problem? Who do I send the issue to?

I think this is your web browser warning you that the web page you are view has https and http URLs. Its not directly an iTunes U issue.

  • Reverse Stock Items

    Dear experts,
Could you please give your advice on the below issue,
We have some items GR into stock ,
I have perfomed bothe GR/IR and the vendor invoices were paid too , Now I relaised these should not be a sockable items , How can these items can be remove /adjust from the Stock accounts
Among these one of the transaction done in 2009
    thank you

you can either create a PO directly with account assignment category K, or you just receive to stock and do then a goods issue with MIGO and movement type 201.
In general it is just one transaction more that you have to perform if you receive into stock first.
but especially for stock items it gives more security into the process, especially if you receive stock items and non-stackable items in the same place. When doing the goods receipt it is hard for the user to know whether the receipt goes to stock or hasto be brought to someones office.

  • Price Change For Slow Moving & Non Moving Items

    Dear all;
What will be the transaction for the slowmoving and non moving items .is there  a separate transaction for the same ? and what will be the report  to see the price chane history for certain material?
    Thanking You;
    Regards;
    Joydeep Mukherjee

    Dear Friend,
MC50: Based on you date range selected, The logic here is "No
    Consumption" below certain Stock Level.
MC46: Based on the date range selected, if there was no movements
(Consumption), the system would classify them as Slow Movers
and Goto MM04, Enter the material no and plant check the changes made to that material master. Ofcourse, it'll give all the changes made to that material master
Check Trn CKMPCSEARCH. It records all the price change docs (Type PR), Ref. Transactn PRCHG

  • Picking non inventory items for delivery

    hello
Can anyone help us with the following issue :
    - in our deliveries we have both inventory items and non inventory items (freight lines, software). Non inventory items have to appear in the same delivery document as the inventory items
    - we cannot create those non-inventory items in inventory as they cannot appear in any stocktake
    - the picklist doesn't accept to release non-inventory items for picking
    Any idea ?
    Fabrice

    Hi Fabrice,
Just an idea. Will it work if you create the non-inventory items in your item master data as just a sales and purchasing item, but not an inventory item? That way you can include it along with your inventory items without having any impact in your stocks. One issue is that the non-inventory item will not be shown in your pick and pack, but you can print a copy of your sales order as a pick list.

  • Supplier Note gets copied from Catalog Item to Non-Catalog Item

    Hi All,
The basic issue is that when we create a mixed shopping cart, cart with Catalog and Non-Catalog Items (Made using Describe Requirement link), the Supplier Note (in the Documents and Attachments part ) from the Catalog Item gets copied to the Non-Catalog Item directly when we create the Non-Catalog Item.
We face the issue only when the first Item is a Catalog Item. ...
There are no custom developments for the Supplier Note and we do not modify it directly in any other way. Any Ideas .. ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Sagar Ogale

    Hi Bharath,
The issue is that for the Non-catalog ( Item created using Describe Requirement ) in SRM 5.0, the supplier note field is getting populated by default. This is the issue.
The Supplier's Note should remain blank. But, its not... This is the issue. Do you have any ideas what may be causing the issue..?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
