Stop form printing from entry sheet transaction

Hi to all,
I am in a project where, when we accept and save a entry sheet the form is launched to the printer, this is ok. but, when we use a program to generate this entry sheet we dont want this to happend.
I`m sucessfull stoping the execution in an abap rutine of the schema by customizing but i dont know how i can do to stop de printing. I tried to change xsubrc or sy-subrc and clearing varibles like xnast, ynast, nnast.....
I know that is a very specific question but all answers are welcomed.

Please check whether there is any User exit which triggers printing.. in that case please pass blank parameter to PRINT IMMEDIATELY.
PRINT IMMEDIATELY = ' '.
Also check whether there is any config. setting which would have mentioned the script or Smartform name. Simply remove the name.

One of the nice things about owning a Mac is never having to be concerned with drivers, dlls, or virus's. Regarding your question simply let Software Update do the work. In System Preferences - Software Update choose how often you want the computer to check. I have mine set for daily. That way it will automatically check for you and if it finds an update your system needs it will advise you.

Form prints from one account, but not from other on same computer

With Brother 5040 printer and latest driver.
I have a form in a Panorama V db file that will print properly from my "Test" account, but not my main account on the same machine.
When I try to print this form from my main account I get a the intitial Print Dialog, then brief flash of the preparing to print. But it never makes it to the printer. It was working fine up until yesterday. I made no system level changes.
This is a word processing form in PanV. Other forms in the same file print fine. A word processing form in a different file also has developed the problem. Obviously, there is some connection to Panorama, still looking for troubleshooting solutions.

Look for a problem in your user library. Try removing printing preference and other printing-related files from the library, as well as the Panorama plist. Then log out and back in, and see if it prints properly.

Decoding 2D barcode on forms printed from Adobe Reader

We use LiveCycle Designer 8 in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro to create forms, which are then opened, completed and printed using Adobe Reader, then signed by the user and mailed back.
We believe we can put a 2D paper forms barcode on the form, but if filled in by Adobe Reader the data gets encrypted and so cannot be scanned (though if completed by Acrobat, the data is not encrypted - unfortunately most customers do not have Acrobat)
We heard that you could buy software or a hardware device to enable the received printed forms to be scanned and the 2D data decoded - is this correct still?

In regards to the Decoder, this is a piece of software that does the actual decoding of the barcode from a printed and scanned form (or faxed). It can decode barcodes from both TIFF and PDF documents.
If you are using a high-speed scanning solution then you more than likely have a decoder built into your solution. If not, then the decoder is an ideal add-on solution. In fact, with the new Adobe LiveCycle Barcoded Forms ES you can not only decode but you can integrate the data right into your existing workflow quite easily.

Form printing from VL74

Dear All,
My requirement is to develop a new form for a output type and the print is to be taken from VL74.
Output from handling unit.
I can see the program name is SD70AV6A.
Now tell me what i should do , so that i can take the print of handling units from VL74 as per the required format.
should i copy the program and design my form accordingly , or what (if i copy will me VL74 TX will be there ?)

VL74 is not really a print program. It is rather a program which processes output types of handling units.
In it you can find coding like CALL FUNCTION 'WFMC_MESSAGES_PROCESS'.
So yeah it is something like RSNAST00.
Copying this wont help you until you need to change the behaviour of this frame program.
when you need to do a new output type for HU´s then you need to create a new driver program, a new form, and create the output type customizing, specifing the according form, driver program and maybe conditions. Also dont forget to maintain this new output type in the output scheme for HU´s.
depending on the requirement of your form you may not need to create a new driver program, but using one that already exists, or copying one that already exists and modifying this one. Depending on your requirement you also may be able to use an already existing form, or copying that and modifying this one.

Trigger print from custom RF transaction

Hi! All,
I have created a custom RF transaction that creates HU, packs with material and moves it from origin to a destination Sloc. I have used the FM BAPI_HU_CREATE & HU_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT. Now if the user wants to print a lebel, how do I connect this code to the output type created. I am confused. HU_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT does not have any parameter to trigger print like BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated and will be rewarded.

You can create a background job dynamically to execute a program that will call a transaction/create a spool request. Pass the printer parameters to print immediately.
I have used this method to schedule an email when goods receipt is completed.

Try this - Assumes Windows 7 (you didn't say what OS your are using):
Turn Off the printer.
Start > search / type, then click on "Control Panel" > icon view > Administrative Tools >
Services > Click on "Name" to sort by name > Scroll down, look for "Print spooler" > Stop
Leave that Services window open...
Open a Windows Explorer window:
Start > search / type, then click on "Windows Explorer" > type / paste in the title bar (to the right of the <--> arrows C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
Alternatively, you can poke at each folder name (Windows > System32...) until you get to the folder named PRINTERS
Remove (delete) all the files you see in that folder directory.
(Highlight > Right-Click > Delete)
Go back to the Services window:
"Restart" the Print spooler service
NOTE: If you cannot stop / start the spoolsv service, try Right-Click on services and "Run as Administrator" to give you permission to control the services.
Unplug the printer, wait a bit (One minute), plug it back in...turn it on.
NOTE: There may be a buffer cache clear selection on the Printer - you could check on the front panel of the Printer Menu. Try this in the event that you cannot get to the outlet to unplug the printer OR try it in place of unplugging the printer. Choice.

How do I stop my printer from leaving a white border on photos

Why does my printer leave a white border on my pictures? I did not select the photo paper "with tab".

Does the photo paper that you're using have a tab attached? If it does, the paper would have a dotted tear away line somewhere close to the edge of one side.
If you're using photo paper with a tab, you'll need to feed the paper in an orientatuin such that you can tear off the tab, leaving you with a full photo.
If you don't have paper with a tab, then make sure that the paper is properly loaded into the photo tray.

I am creating a service entry sheet from the PO but I am getting an error of u201CPlease maintain services or limits Message no. SE029- Diagnosis(You cannot enter data until the PO item has been maintained correctly) u201C
The document type of the PO is standard NB, account assignment category is Q- (Proj make to order) and the item category is D(service). Then I am trying also create a PR using account assignment category is Q- (Proj make to order) and the item category is D(service) but still cannot proceed, a message asking me to enter a service entry number. What I know the process is create a PO(maybe based from PR) then post the GR then create a service entry sheet in ML81N but I cannot proceed. Just creating a PR or PO using those mentioned account assignment and item category and getting an error of need to enter a service entry sheet number.

Process for Creating Service Entry Sheet
Transaction Code : ML81N
1)To open the respective Purchase Order, Click on the u2018Other Purchase Orderu2019, then enter the Purchase Order No.
2)Click on the u2018Create Entry Sheetu2019 icon(3rd Icon on Top-Left)
3)Give Short Text (e.g. R/A Bill No. 1) and top service entry sheet number also generated.
4)Click u2018Service Selectionu2019 Icon on the Bottom of the Screen.
5)For the 1st Time, when we are making Service Entry Sheet for a respective Purchase Order, we need to u201CAdopt Full Quantityu201D by clicking the Check box next to it, then Enter. (*For the next time, no adoption is required, just continue)
6)Select the respective Services by clicking on the Left Hand Side, then Click u2018Servicesu2019 (Adopt services) icon on the Top.
7)Give the completed Quantity, then Click u2018Acceptu2019 icon(a green flag on the top)
8)Save .
9)Service Entry Sheet is SAVED and account posting made.

You can create a validation in the transaction OB28.
example:
Prerequisite BKPF-USNAM <> " "
Check BKPF-BKPF-HWAER
check bkpf-BKPF-WAERS
You should create a message error in the transaction SE91 to be displayed:
Example:
Z1 001 You are not allowed to use this currency anymore, obsolete !!
After that run the program RGUGBR00 with just the last 2 flags not selected.

HP Laserjet P4014dn won't auto print from tray 1

HP Laserjet P4014dn stopped auto printing from tray 1. Can't manually print from there either. Now it always pulls from tray 2 (bottom tray) even if paper is loaded in tray 1. Auto print is selected in software setting. SN [Personal Information Removed] CB512A. Help!

There may be a couple of reasons why the printer will not auto print from Tray 1.
The following references the User Guide for the printer which you can obtain from here:

Page 18 of the User Guide has the section "Paper Handling Menu".
This section defines the menu items that can be used to set Size and Type for Tray 1.
Page 85 of the User Guide has the start of the Configure Trays Section.
In this section there are two notes. If Tray 1 is set to ANY SIZE and ANY TYPE, the printer will pull from that tray whenever media is loaded in that Tray. If Tray 1 is set to a specific size, it will act like a Cassette. This means that it will follow the paper handling model of Trays 2, 3, etc..
Example: Tray 1 is set to Letter, Tray 2 is set to Letter. When a job is sent from the PC requesting Letter and the Sources is Auto, the printer FW will look for the highest number tray that has letter installed and pull from that tray. Thus, Tray 2 will always be used unless Tray 2 doesn't have paper.
Page 86 has the section "Configure a tray by using the Paper Handling menu".
Follow the steps in this section to validate that Tray 1 is set to ANY SIZE and ANY TYPE. If not set to ANY SIZE, ANY TYPE then change the setting to be ANY SIZE and ANY TYPE. You may have to scroll through the list of sizes and types to find what you are looking for.
Once possibility is that the printer is not detecting that paper is loaded in Tray 1. One method to verify this is to remove all paper from Tray 2 and lower trays if there are more than just Tray 2 installed. This will force the printer to pull paper from Tray 1 if paper is present. If paper is present and the Tray 1 menu items are set to ANY SIZE and ANY TYPE and the printer prompts for you to load Tray 1 with paper, it is possible that the printer is not detecting that paper is in the tray.
In this case, I would recommend you contact HP Support as the media presence sensor may no longer be working properly.
