Stop triggers ignored.

Hello everyone,
I seem to be having a problem many nubies do.
I open a file.
At 2sec I put a red square.
I also put a trigger and select "stop" from the side menu in the action window (so this problem isn't with coding, I'm not entering anything myself but using the provided code)
I also put the word "circle" on the stage with a "sym.play(2.1)" to continue the action after i click on the word circle.
I put a grey circle at 2.5
after the circle would appear (at 2.5), I wanted the entire animation to stop.
So I put another trigger, after the circle appears, again from the menu provided.
Of course the result of this is that the animation pauses and waits form me to click the word "circle" then proceeds to show the grey circle;
but only for a milisecond before looping back to the beginning of the animation (presumably because it reached the end and started over as usual)
my question is: why doesn't the second trigger - sym.stop(); - stop the animation instead of letting it reach the end? I've tried putting specific numbers in the parenthesis, also tried making labels
and using them in the parenthesis. Also tried using - play(); - and - sym.play(); - with numbers and labels to create loops to endlessly stall the animation as a pseudo stop.
all to no avail. After the first trigger that pauses it at the red square, there is no stopping this train, it always reaches the end and loops (which i know the loop always happens there.)
Anyway, I can't continue learning this awesome program until I'm sure of how to stop. (also been frustrated with "Play from" functions relating to audio files, but that's a whole 'nother sandwich.

I was working in Edge some more today and yes, like the nube I am I was thinking in milliseconds but kept putting things like (2.1) instead of (2100), I think I'll be able to remember that now. Sheesh.
I also did some tests and found out that if you play an animation beginning to end it indeed just stops; but if you happen to be on the last frame and press play it loops back to the beginning (very courteous) but somehow it just looked like it was looping forever the other day.
So, most of my questions have been hammered out except one, I feel that once I find the answer to this everything else will fall into place.
Q: How do you definitively STOP the timeline from playing? The following is a list of commands that haven't worked.
     1. stop();
     2. stop(45);    -for number on the timeline
     3. stop("stop"); - for label on the timeline
     4. sym.stop();
     5. sym.stop(45);
     6. sym.stop("stop");
     7. play(44); - to create a loop between two frames to simulate a stop
     8. play("loop") - to create a loop using a label for same purpose.
I need someone to really help me with this simple thing; because all the tutorials say these just work....as I well expect them to; but I could put one or all of these on a trigger at the point where I want the timeline to simply stop playing (so I can put a button there and click to proceed to hear some audio if I like) and
the timeline will just play and play and play, there's no stopping the train.
It seemed to work for awhile today, and when it stopped working correctly I figured I must have moved something wrong; but I checked (didn't take a lot of research, it's a simple stop command placed in a trigger on the timeline) and I can't think of anything else to do.
It's amazing how much of Edge is really based on play and stop, without these basics working on a consistent basis, I can't get out of Kindergarten here.
As a way of keeping my sanity, I opened a new file just now and created a timeline with a circle moving for 5sec, text that shows up at 2sec that says "stop" , and a trigger right after that (2100) that has - sym.stop()- and everything works. (so I'm not accusing adobe of making something wrong here, I just keep getting intermittent (seemingly) results when I apply the STOP functions.)
Any ideas? Is it placement? Does it not work when there is audio on the timeline? Really any past growing experiences would help.

In the requirement we have written
   IF sy-tcode = 'ME29N'.
      sy-subrc = 4.
    ENDIF.
ENDIF.
CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
But still on release output is getting triggered.

How to implement start & stop triggers when # scans unknown on ni5112?

I want to initiate a data capture trigger on the leading edge of a pulse & then stop the trigger on the next leading edge of the same pulse, using NI 5112 Scope card & LabVIEW v5.1. How to accomplish?? Any help appreciated!

You can implement a start and stop trigger but not with an arbitrary number of points.
The 5112 has two triggers the Acquisition Arm and the Record Arm.
The Acquisition Arm trigger enables the Scope to start taking pretrigger data.
The Record arm trigger is often call the Stop trigger or Reference Trigger. Based upon the Reference Position the board will acquire X pretrigger samples and Y post trigger samples. The Reference trigger defines the transition from pre to post trigger. If you set all of your points to be pretrigger (i.e. 100% reference position) then the Reference trigger will stop acquistion on the trigger. One thing to note: the scope will not be ready to accept the record trigger until it has acquired all the pretrigger points. The scope
will only return one record size of data. Therefore the first samples will be lost.
For example I would like to start a acquisition with a trigger on PFI 1 and use edge triggering on channel 0 to stop the acquisition. I need at least 1000 points.
You will need to make the following changes in the code. Start from the niScope EX Configured Acquisition.vi and set up the triggering for Edge Trigger. Set your minimum record size to 1000 samples. On the diagram go to the Edge Trigger Case of the Triggering Selection Case Structure add a property node before the configure edge trigger similiar to the attached screen shot. Change the property to Acquisition Arm Source found in the synchronization menu. Change the property to write and create a string constant. The available sources for the Acq Arm are PFI 1,2 and RTSI 0-6. The syntax needs to match the following: "VAL_PFI_1". You will miss the edge trigger if you have not already acquired 1000 samples from the acquistion trigg
er and you will only get back 1000 samples.

Starting and stopping triggered samples

The ESX24 Sampler claims to be a plug-in that functions exactly like a sampler should. Previous to Logic Pro 7, I used a SP-606 sampler that had three different ways a sample could be played:
1. drum - this function played the sample as long as the button (or note) was held down then stopped playing once released
2- trigger - this started the sample and let it play until the end of the entire audio region
3- loop - this looped the sample based on the specified start and stop points.
However under the second function, trigger, you could trigger the sample to start and stop and restart and stop every time you hit the sample button or sent a note.
Does logic have this function anywhere in the ESX24?
for instance if i had a 15 second long sample and sent a midi note from a controller to start it...how do i stop it and restart it at will?
the only functions I see available in Logic are the 'drum' function (where the sample releases and stops as long as you hold down the note) and the trigger function (but in Logic a second trigger does not stop the sample ----
it triggers a second sample to play again --so that multiple samples are playing simultaneously)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stopping Triggering Of Event

Dear All,
I have created workflow for Travel expense. Here once the Expense is raised it goes to HOD in display mode and once it is approved by HOD, workitem to goes to Auditor in chnage mode.
Workflow starts on CREATED event of BUS2089 Business object. This event gets triggered when Expense is saved in PR05 transaction code.
My problem is when I am sending workitem to Auditor in chnage mode he can make the chnages to expense and save that . At this point of time also the CREATED event is triggered and new workflow is getting started how do I stop this .

Just create a virtual asttribute that checks whether there is an active instance already there. You can use FM SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_TO_OBJECT. If it exist the attribute should have a value X.
Now you need to create a start condition for this Workflow which specifies that the Workflow should be triggered only when the flag(Virtual attribute) value is initial

ALL Triggers ignored in EA

Whenever I create a simple trigger, it simply doesn't work.I have done the animated stars tutorial on Lynda about 4 times over now. I follow the tutorial to a T, initally, everything works fine. I even saved a copy in a seperate folder and called it "Stars_Animations_Working", I reopen it later, preview in browser, and suddenly it just stops working. Any action I seem to put into edge animate is almost always ignored, it's a mystery how it seems to play the animated stars tutorial file fine the first few times I preview it in the browser.
I try creating symbols with "mouseover" or "click" actions, IGNORED.
I try looping an animation I did with "sym.play", IGNORED.
I try stopping my entire stage from animating, that's right, IGNORED.
There are no errors at the bottom of the screen or when I save the file. I am previewing my project in Chrome.
This is extremely frustrating and I cannot make any more progress on my assignment until I figure this out. If anyone has ANY idea what the hell is wrong then I am open to try it. Thanks guys.

It is good to remember that when there is an error in code, the composition will play the whole timeline no matter what. So when that happen, you need to review your code and correct it:

or you can see the red button under your stage and it you click it you can see where the error is. The arrow next to it on the right will take you to it:
Of course you should also consider using your browser console. You can also add firebug to Firefox and other browsers.

Chrome playing all symbols at once despite "stop" triggers?

Hi Everyone, I'm working on an animation (Edge Animate CC 2014) where several sets of events are grouped in symbols--each has a "stop" trigger at 0:00 and then a "play" trigger at the appropriate time. This works fine in Firefox & Safari, but Chrome plays ALL symbols simultaneously from the beginning (resulting in a complete mess). Has anyone else had this problem, and are there any solutions short of getting rid of the symbols and pasting their content to the main timeline (resulting in a HUGE and unmanageable action list)?

Stop triggering the FPM event!!!

Hi Experts,
In SRM7 we have one OIF FPM event, on click of which a popup will appear.I have created the popup on click of that event.
But when click the 'SUBMIT' button, the event is getting triggered after that the popup is coming.
I want that event to be triggered from 'YES' button of the popup.
Any idea will be helpful.

If you are inside a method of the FPM and want to alter the further flow of the method by an action set in the popup you are calling, this is not going to work. When using server side eventing, the phase model will make a complete roundtrip of the method, then render the popup, then user action is taken. The server sided event will not halt and wait for user interactions here.

What happens in runtime:
FPM method start.

--> <popup is prepared for rendering>

How to stop triggering Enable User task

Hi ,
We have a requirement to disable three resources . After disabling if we enable the user, out of 3 resources one shud remain in disabled state. I have added a process task adapter to achieve this. But what my problem is after click enable from user profile first it will trigger Enable and then only its disabling the particular resource. I dont want the Enable user to trigger for that particular resource if I try to enable thru user profile and also ,thru resource profile if we enable that resource it shud enable.
Is there any way we can identify the resource is enabled thru user profile or resource profile?

That will work when the user is enabled from the OIM user profile. But if we reconcider your usecase in which the resource should be enabled if we enable it on the resource profile. Will this work?

How do I implement a stop trigger for my 6602 counters?

I currently have the start of data acquistion for two channels syncrhonized with a start trigger. I am doing simple event counting using two seperate counters.
For my start trigger, I use a third counter to generate a single pulse and put the output on the trigger line that the two counters are watching.
Works great! But, I also want to synchronize the stopping of data acquisition for the two channels. I thought this would be simple as configuring a ND_STOP_TRIGGER like I did a ND_START_TRIGGER. But, this is giving me errors.
Does the 6602 not support stop triggering? Am I just out of luck?

this thread is quite old but I'm facing the same problems.
I'm using a PXI-6602 and a PXI-6521 in a PXI-1033 chassis. On the 6521 I create a continuous sample pulse as a counter output. This I route to the PXI_Trig0.
On the 6602 I have two counters set up to continuous edge counting with the external clock configured to PXI_Trig0.
I start counting by setting a internal trigger channel to high which is routed to PXI_Trig1, and this is configured as the start trigger signal for both counters on the 6602 so that they count simultaneously based on their common sample clock.
This works quite good...but I have some problems to stop the counting.
I have to stop counting as soon as I have reached 1024 increments (one revolution of a wheel, signal duty cycle 50 %) on one counter and then I have to check if the other counter have reached at least 48 (duty cycle 50%) or 96 pulses (duty cycle 20% or 80%, depending on the revolution direction).
So far I read the counter value of ctr1 in a loop and if the value is equal to or greater 1024 I stop. Sometimes I miss the value 1024 (how can this happen as I count buffered + continuously?) I make a retry. But I get the impression that even I configured both counters with the same start trigger and sample clock, the counting isn't synchronous. When I try it with two function generators, I works quite good but not perfect. If I connect real life signals, in the lower frequency range (up to 500 1/min of the wheel), I almost always have fewer pulses then necessary, e.g. 88-94 pulses instead of 96. In the upper frequency range (up to 3000 1/min of the wheel), I have way too much pulses, e.g. 122-125 pulses instead of 96.
I use the digital filters of the counter board for both TTL signals.
Does anybody have an idea what I can do on this subject?

I have hp laptop dv9009us one day all the USB ports and webcam camera stopped working, I had windows XP and tried all solutions posted on online forums didn’t work, I upgraded to windows 7 and still not working, please note that the USB is detected in device manger and it says working properly but he webcam is not detected at all, also when I connect any device to USB it gives it power and I even can charge my cell phone but it doesn’t detect any device. Is there any genius out there that can help me?
Also after I installed windows 7 I went o system information----software environment--- system drivers, and I found all USB drivers stopped by the way this was the case in windows XP as well

Output type Requirement triggering

In my project I have a requirement to stop triggering of an output type if all the items in the sales order have reason for rejection set.
I have done the condition check in a output requirement routine and if the condition fails then I set SY-SUBRC = 4.
Problem 1:
But when I am creating the sales order, the komkbv1 structure does not have the sales order no. (it has other fields) and kompbv1structure is not filled. Then how do I check if all the items have Reason for rejection set or not.
Problem 2:
For an existing sales order, I trigger the output type in Header-->Output... , this code is getting executed and sy-subrc is set to 4. But still the output is triggered.
Please let me know how do I proceed.

For the first problem,
Check the standard structures available, but not sure.
For the Second one,
You routine include should be included in the standard include RV61BNNN
for it to get triggered.
Your routine will not get executed if your routine is not included in this standard include.

Continuous data acquisition using NiDAQmx with a start and a stop trigger

I'm sorry if this has been answered many times before, I can't quite seem to find the answer I'm looking for.
I am using LabWindows CVI version 7 and NiDAQmx with a PCI6023E.
I wish to acquire data continuously using an external clock as a timebase - I am happy with this.
I wish the acquisition to start when an external signal (say on PFI7) goes high. I am also happy with this.
What I also need is for the acquisition to stop when the signal on PFI7 goes low, or possibly when a signal on say PFI8 goes high. I'm not too concerned about which approach to use.
How do I stop the acquisition with an external signal?

I don't have CVI installed, but I've attached screen shots of a LabVIEW program that I believe accomplishes what you are trying to do. Translating it to the C API should be straight forward. I'll try to explain what the program is doing since it's using some of the more advanced features of the driver. Also, the DAQ device you are using doesn't support a true "stop" trigger so I'm using a reference trigger to get as close to the desired functionality as possible.
First, the program configures a finite acquisition that uses both a start trigger and a reference trigger. The acquisition is using an external sample clock and will acquire 4 samples (2 pre-trigger samples and 2 post-trigger samples). Four may seem like an odd number here, but it allows us to emulate the functionality of a stop trigger as close as possible. Given this configuration, you must acquire at least 2 samples before the "stop" trigger is recognized, and you must acquire 2 more samples after the "stop" trigger is recognized. Hopefully this restriction is acceptable. You can always discard the last two data points after the stop trigger if they're not of interest, but you're stuck always acquiring at least two points between when the start and stop triggers are recognized.
The program also overrides the default buffer size and read position. By default, the DAQmx driver will pick a buffer size exactly big enough to fit the pre-trigger and post-trigger data (4 samples in this case) and will begin reading data from the start of the pre-trigger data. Explicitly allocating a larger buffer will allow your acquisition to execute without receiving buffer overflow errors, and changing the default read position will allow you to read all of the data between the start and stop triggers as it is acquired and not just the pre-trigger and post-trigger data.
Finally, the while loop takes care of reading the data. In this case, the loop continues to read data until the task is done and there are no longer samples available for reading from the buffer. The number of samples read per iteration is the lesser of the user specified amount or the number of samples available for reading from the buffer.

Problem in triggering the component after firing raise evnt from taskflow.

I have a dashboard screen in which there are a number off panel boxes each containing an individual reusable task flow. There is one input text declarative component on the screen on change of which I am setting the values in the helpers of the task flows so that in there respective refresh region's they can use this value to populate the data. After the change event code of the DC is finished and all the refresh regions are fired one by one, which raise some event and I am capturing that event in consumer if my screen, based on that event I delegate the call to my backing bean and set the rendered property of the panel boxes, which is not getting triggered until I click on some button, I have added the partial trigger to the panel box of my DC and even added AddPartialTarget but both are not working,I have even tried queue event that too doesn't work. This Partial Trigger and Partial Target were working until i wasn't using the raise event but after using that It stopped triggering.
Can any body suggest something ..?

ALE-IDOC- Multiple IDOCs gets triggered with only one output exists

Dear Gurus,
We need you help to resolve the issue being faced with IDOC in our system.
From Sales order , an EDI output ZF40 gets trigggered which is a order confirmation. This is being sent to a Logical system
(Partner type LS in IDOC) which is F4F (Partner no.)
Now the issue is at sales order level, only one output line with ZF40 is triggered and in processing log one IDOC no. is showing.
We have received complaint from the external party F4F that for a same sales order , multiple IDOCs (around 500 IDOC's each in 3min interval )are being received at their end. We have checked in SAP , all these IDOC's were triggered from SAP only. All IDOC's are in green in SAP. But from where these IDOC's got originated is not known.
We have checked the batch jobs and not seems to be triggered from there.
Is there any other way that IDOC can originate automatically.? Please advise your valuable inputs as it will help to stop triggering of IDOC's (around 11,000 so far) in SAP and in receiving system.
