Store analysis

Hi,
We are running Messaging Server: Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-4.01 libimta.so 6.3-4.01
We are planning to implement message expire rule by age and implement quota in our existing setup. We need to get some analysis on store done to decide a cut of point. What is the best approach
imquotacheck command gives usage per user and per hosted domain. Is there a possibilty to find out the usage by user that is consumed by emails older than 1 year.
Thanks in advance

=> Parse through the store partitions and collect timestamps for all of the *.msg files in peoples accounts... collate and generate reports.
=> Use the imexpire command in 'test' mode (-n) to see what each potential expiration policy will remove e.g.
bash-3.00# cat /tmp/test.expire
Rule1.regexp: 1
Rule1.folderpattern: user/.*
Rule1.messagedays: 180
./imexpire -n -d -v 2 -f /tmp/test.expireNOTE: You need to be very careful with the imexpire command, you don't want to accidentally delete peoples emails.
imquotacheck command gives usage per user and per hosted domain. Is there a possibilty to find out the usage by user that is consumed by emails older than 1 year. This information isn't stored in quota database therefore imquotacheck isn't able to provide it. Keeping a record of the age of every email would result in a massive database for very little reason.

  • Table that stores Analysis authorization values

    Hi all,
We generated analysis authorizations for users on Profit centers. In RSECADMIN for each user we see an automatic authorization object being assigned with a name like RSR_000234  so on. We can see the values (profit centers) for this object when we double click on it. I would like to create a list of all users and the assigned profit centers. Can you please tell me if a table is available to get this list.
    Thanks,
    Ram.

    Chetan,
We are loading authorizations values to 0PROFIT_CTR from ECC and flatfile into the Authorization DSO's and generating authorizations to assing the profit centers to users. I would like to see the profit centers assigned to a user. For example suppose if a user is assigned a particular region. I would like to see all the values of the profit centers assigned to the user from a table rather than going to the hierarchy and getting the list for each region.
The tables that you specified give the userid and the technical name of the authorization(RSR_000234..) but I would like to see the actual values in the authorization.
Hope I am clear. Thank you for your assistance.

  • Store analysis column info to variable

    Dear Gurus,
    I have analysis like this:
    Period-Month Organization-Name Unnotified-absence-count Notified-absence-count
    2011/12 Finance 7 5
If I click on 7 then I want to show the detail employee report, but i need to filter the report base on Unnotified/notified.
how to keep the variable when click on column on analysis?and to pass the variable to the detail report?
    Please help
    Thank you before
    Regards
    Maria

Yes, this is absolutely possible. We have implemented something similar to this. Clicking on a metric in a summary report should pass all the values from the dimensions left to it to the detail report including the column that is used for drill down. Just make sure both the reports are off of same subject area, and if they are not, create aliases in the RPD to match the column names, and make sure on the 2nd report, you have all the columns as prompted that you are trying to pass values into, and set the navigtion in the 1st report accordingly.

  • Which data we will store in infocube?

    hi experts,
i am in little bit  confusion, i think this is basic level question.
can any body tell me where we store analysed data. that means which data we will store in infocube( raw data or analysed data). which data we will use for reporting?
    please clear this confusion.
    thanks & regards
    venkat

    Hi Venkata,
I have a basic simple understanding and explainantion. You get some raw data from a system such as R/3 which you apply transfer rules and transformations. Applying this will help us remove any inconsistencies, and standardizing the data we get from R/3. After this process, we have the data ready which can be stored in the Infocube/ DSO. Thus, Infocube contains data that is cleansed and standardized. Now, since you have the data ready, you design queries on the Infocube, which will generate reports according to the requirements. These reports will be used for analysis of all the data presented in the report through appropriate query.
Hello All, Please correct me if i m wrong.

  • Usage of SAP Event Management as backend for custom mobile applications

    Hi,
I'm am looking for an appropriate implementation approach for custom mobile applications as complement for warehouse processes with SAP Extended Warehouse Management.
    Possible scenarios:
    i) Goods issue - loading process
There are requirements like capturing of various data about the vehicle and load per RF handheld computer. The goal is to trace and archive them for analysis and reporting purposes.
    ii) Goods receipt -production process
The production supply and goods receipt from production are realized in SAP EWM. The request is to collect data about the production process for quality reasons by use of RF devices.
You can picture oneself the additional mobile data entry activities during the various processes as predefined question catalogues with answer options.
The frontend - the additional mobile transactions can be realized with the EWM-Radio-Frequency-Framework, too. But I feel confindent that there is a better way to track, trace, store, analyse, report and archiv of the collected data to Y-TABLES.
Would you recommend to use SAP Event Management for this purpose to complement the SAP EWM processes?
The existing requirements as described above is in my understanding only a little fraction of the capabilities of SAP Event Management. The data collection and evaluation process is local within the warehouse. At first there is not requested any automatic system behaviour to particular events...
There are a lot material and information about SAP Event Management. But I havent found an easy getting started for my simple business scenario to enhance the EWM processes with the EM capabilities. How I could realize a question/anwer catalogue with the EM tools?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Laura

    Hello Laura,
principally the process would fit for EM. But EWM is not integrated up to now to EM i.e. you would have to do the connection from EWM to EM by your own.
How to generally connect an application to EM is described here:
    service.sap.com/scm
    -> Event Managament
    -> Technical Information
-> Connect SAP objects to SAP EM
    Best regards,
    Steffen

  • Essbase MDX question

    Hi there
I am at a client where I have to do comparative store analysis. Basically with MDX I need to do the following:
When doing comparable store analysis on a daily level in my Time dimension a store must have traded a year ago on the same comparable day as per the company's trading calendar.
When doing comparable store analysis on a weekly level a store must have traded a year ago for the full same comparable previous year's week (i.e. all the days in the week) as per company's trading calendar.
If the criteria is not met #missing must be returned else the day or week value.
On day level my MDX works fine:
    CASE
    WHEN
    IsLevel([Entity].CurrentMember, 0) AND
    IsLevel([Time].CurrentMember, 0) AND
    NOT IsEmpty([Periodicity].[LY])
    THEN
    ([LY], [Act], [Time].CurrentMember, [Entity].CurrentMember, [Account].CurrentMember)
    END
The question is on a week level how do I check if a store traded on every single day of the same week last year. Getting the week is no problem, but checking every child of that week.
Just another point on this: I need to do this on month, quarter etc levels as well, so hard coding to check from day 1 to 7 will not suffice.
    Thanks
    Johan

You are correct, currently Essbase does not support updates via MDX.

  • How to store the data coming from network analyser into a text or excel file

    Hii everyone
I'm using Agilent 8719ET network analyser and wish to store the data coming from netowrk analyser into a text file/ excel file.
Presently I'm able to get the data on Labview graph using GPIB . Can anyone suggest how to go ahead after collect data sub vi. How can the data be stored into a file apart from showing on the graph?
Attached is the vi for kind consideration...

First let me say that your code really looks pretty good. The data handling could be made more efficient by calculating the number of datapoints that are going to be in the completed dataset and preallocating the entire array -- but depending upon your answer to my questions, the logic in the lower shift register may be going away - so we won't worry about that right now.
The thing I need to know before addressing the data storage question is: Each time you call "Collect and Display Data.vi", how many element are in the array? Are you reading single data points, or a group of data? (BTW: if the answer to that question is obvious based on the way the other VIs are setup, I don't have the drivers so I can't tell what the setup values are.) Second, how fast does the loop iterate? Are we talking msec per loop?, seconds? fortnights?
The issues here are two-fold: how much data? and how fast is it coming? The answer to these will tell you how to save the data.

  • DIAdem: How to store the input channel information from the Analysis modules

    Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to store the input channel name(s) when executing modules from the Analysis Panel. For example, when I run an FFT on a set of data: x-channel: "[1]/Time" y-channel: "[1]/Voltage" , I would like to be able to store this information as a custom channel property in the output file (ex. "[1]/AutoSpectrum").
The only place I've found that contains this "history" information is in the log section of the Analyze Panel. However, I have not been able to figure out how to access the information in the Analysis log programatically through VBS scripting.
    Thanks

    Hi Brad,
So here's where I'm struggling. My tool is more a set of tools. I have created custom bars that launch the appropriate dialog box for each tool. Let me give you and example of the kind of work flow I that might be used:
The user loads up a TDM file or imports data using a DataPlugin. Then, they launch my tool for going through each channel and adding custom properties (sensor type, sensor location, etc). Once all properties have been applied to the channels they close that tool. Now they fire up the Smoothing module in ANALYSIS and save the result as a new channel. Next, they launch my tool for computing the Shock Response for that event. When the user has the desired output, they run my plotting SUD. This is where they can select which report template to use and which channels to plot. The selected channel(s) used for plotting doesn't have all of the custom properties that we taged in the original data channels.
As you can see, the process involves using some of my own custom SUDs where I can keep track of everything but also allows the user to use any of DIAdem's native functions. This is where I am struggling to be able to keep track of the channels used as input. I can "see" the info I need listed in the log section of the ANALYSIS Panel but can't pragmatically access it (the info in the main display window). It would be really handy if this info was automatically stored in the channel properties of each output channel.
I guess my only option is to (in the plotting SUD) not only ask the user for the channels to plot, but also ask them to select the coresponding original channels that have the custom properties.

  • How to store the particle analysis details in a file?

I use NI vision builder AI2.5, to acquire the image(using  one camera). The image is analysed and I want the results of this particle anlysis results(like the center of mass x,y, orientation) to be stored in the file. and later call this value as input for my VB program.
How to do it ? can anyone help me out
    Thank you

    Hey Indhu,
You can use the data logging tool of VBAI to log data to a file. You can access this by going to Tools -> Configure Inputs/Outputs. You can read more about this in the VBAI User Manual, or you can check out the following KnowledgeBase document called How to Save Results from Vision Builder for Automated Inspection to File?
One other option that you have is to upgrade to VBAI 2.6.1, which has an ActiveX component for the Vision Builder for Automated Inspection engine. With this component, you can pass that data back to your VB program while it is running, which is a powerful feature and would be worth the upgrade. You can download the current version of VBAI from the following link: Vision Drivers and Updates, and install it to test it out for a 30-day trial, then when you want to purchase it, all you would have to do is activate it.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
    Regards,
    DJ L.

  • What is difference between bex analyser and bex browser

what is difference between bex analyser and bex browser . please explain what are use of both and what we do in both.

    hi
    Bex Browser
The Business Explorer Browser (BEx Browser) makes it possible for you to access all document types of the Business Information Warehouse that are assigned to your role or that you have stored in your favorites. You can select and open documents assigned to you in the BEx Browser or store and manage new documents in the BEx Browser.
Document types that you can work with in the BEx Browser are:
    · BW workbooks
    · Documents that are stored in the Business Document Service (BDS)
    · Links (references to file system, shortcuts)
    · Links to internet sites (URLs)
    · SAP transaction calls.
    · Web applications and Web templates
    · Crystal Reports
    Bex Analyser
The Business Explorer Analyzer (BEx Analyzer) is the analysis and reporting tool of the Business Explorer that is embedded in Microsoft Excel.
    Features
You can call up the BEx Query Designer in the BEx Analyzer, in order to define queries. Subsequently, you can analyze the selected InfoProvider data by navigation to the query created in the Query Designer and create different query views of the data. You can add the different query views for a query or for different queries to a work book and save them there. You can save the workbook in your favorites or in your role on the BW Server. You can also save the workbook locally on your computer.
Beyond that, you can precalculate the workbook and distribute it by e-mail to recipeients or you can export it to the Enterprise Portal and make it accessible to other employees in the company.
You can start queries in a standard view (with a Standard Web Template set up in Customizing) in the Web browser and forward the URL or continue to navigate on the Web. Similarly, you can export the Web query to MS Excel 2000.
Overview of the Functional Area of the BEx Analyzer:
    ·        BEx toolbar
You access the functions of the BEx Analyzer from the BEx toolbar, which takes you to the BEx Open dialog box where you can open existing queries, or to the BEx Query Designer where you can create new queries or change existing queries.
    ·        Evaluating Query Data
The BEx Analyzer offers convenient functions for evaluating and presenting InfoProvider data interactively. In the BEx Analyzer, you can add queries to workbooks, navigate within them and refresh the data. You can also process the queries further in Microsoft Excel or display them in the Web browser in a default view.
Navigation of a query allows you, for example, to filter characteristics on a single value, drilldown on all values for a characteristic, regroup characteristics and key figures in the rows and columns of the results area, or hide key figures. Navigation results in different views of the InfoProvider data. In addition, a range of further functions is available which allow you to edit a query interactively (for example, sorting, cumulated output, among others). In addition, you can use the editing functions in Microsoft Excel in order to set up individual format templates, to print results areas, or to create graphics.
    ·        Queries in Workbooks
Queries are inserted into workbooks so you can display them. When you insert a query, a link is made between the cell areas of the worksheet and the data of the InfoProvider upon which the query is based. A link therefore exists between the Business Explorer and the Business Information Warehouse Server (BW Server).
When inserting a query into the workbook, a VBA routine is automatically generated in the workbook. You can also connect the Business Explorer with your own VBA programs (Visual Basic for Applications).
You can create workbook templates, into which you can insert your queries. Workbook templates can contain pre-determined items for the area of the query, formatting settings, logos, VBA macros, and so on.
    ·        Precalculating workbooks
You can precalculate and distribute workbooks with the BEx Broadcaster, which is a Web application you get to form the BEx toolbar. The system generates MS Excel workbooks with historical data. You determine the time for precalculation yourself: You can have workbooks precalculated at a predefined time or they can be precalculated whenever data in the underlying InfoProvider changes. You can have the precalculated workbooks sent by e-mail or you can export them into the Enterprise Portal, where you can make them available to employees within your company.
    Activities
To start the BEx Analyzer, choose Start ® Programs ® SAP Front-end Business Information Warehouse ® SAP Business Explorer Analyzer.
You can also access the BEx Analyzer via SAP Easy Access ® SAP Business Information Warehouse ® SAP Menu ® Business Explorer ® Analyzer or in the Business Explorer Browser using the Business Explorer Analyzer symbol in the menu bar.
