Storing images of different format in the same table

Hi there,
I have a table with one field of type OrdImage and I am saving in such a table images that are actually stored in an external directory. If images are of the same type everything works fine but if I mix jpeg and gif images I got an error while populating the image properties:
ORA-29400: data cartridge error
IMG-00704: unable to read image data
ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDIMG_PKG", line 420
ORA-06512: at "ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE", line 25

I need clarify a thing:
If you store image1.jpg only and do setProperties(), it works, and
if you store image2.gif only and do setProperties(), it works, but
if you store image1.jpg in one row and image2.gif in another row and do setProperties(), does it fail?
If this is true, call Oracle Support and provide the image files.

Thank you for this response. I have tried this but when I start enterring $ amounts some, such as $6.00, go in OK others such as $4.00 appear as a date ie 4 Oct 12.

Your question do not have anything do with APEX.
It is pure SQL question and you will get better answer this kind questions from SQL and PL/SQL forum
You need have GROUP BY when you use aggregate functions like SUM.
I assume you like just add two columns.
Try

I would like to SUM two fileds from different rows from the same table but I don't know how to do that.
E.g.

Capture scratch in different formats in the same project

I was asked to edit several hours of wedding video that have two different formats in capture scratch. All are Quick time movie. Can I combine the following formats in the same project and sequences, or what steps do I need to take before I start the project? Any suggestions on the proper Easy Set Up "format" and "use" selection? Thanks for the help.
First format-

DVCPRO HD is not supported in FCE. The HD media is of course much larger than the SD media, so you have to decide how to handle that. Also the frame rate conversion might not be great.

How do I view multiple images from different projects at the same time?

I've been trying to find the answer in the user manual, but no luck so far.
I did find how to open 2 projects at once, but I can only see one image at a time in the viewer and I have to keep going back and forth between projects to compare images. (These are scans of old photos and I want to eliminate the ones that are poorer quality, so need to compare numerous images from 2 sets of scans)
How can I view an image from one project at the same time as an image from another? I know that it can be done in the same project by apple-clicking the second, third etc image, but this doesn't work if the images are from different projects.

I've now created an album, independent of the projects, and dragged test images into it and it does just the job I needed. Now i just need to keep my brain sorted with which ones are which while i'm working

Can I export in different formats at the same time?

Most of my pictures are in different formats. When I choose ones of different formats and then try and export them at the same time, I have to choose what format to put them in(TIFF, JPEG, etc.) Is there an option to export each one in it's original format or do they all have to be exported in one format of my choosing?
Maybe I just don't understand formats and how Aperture makes adjustments from Masters to Versions.
Please help if you can.

i do all the time. Select the images you want to export and start to export. Once the export begins, select a second set of images and start to export. You can watch the exports through Activity Monitor under Window Menu.

How do I import an iTunes library stored by a different user on the same macbook?

My husband and I are used to share the same Library and we just have our own playlists. I finally was able to import the my libary from my old Windows computer, but now I face another challenge:
Now I can only see the music files when logged in as user B (me), but user A (my husband) cannot see any of my music files.
I feel like I need to move my files to a shareable location, but don't know how to do that on a Mac.
Then I want to know how I can make sure we do not copy all our music to be twice on the same computer.
Any suggestions how I can resolve this the easiest way?

When I have done this, all I did was network the two machines and copy the contents of the iTunes folder to the other machine, and that's it.
My understanding (which may not be 100% correct) is that the one file that is absolutely necessary is iTunes Library, and that the XML file is actually a copy auto-generated from the iTunes Library, appearing in a different format only for non-iTunes apps that take advantage of the iTunes Library data.
As far as I know, if you simply have the Library (database) file and all your original music files, iTunes on that computer should operate as it did on your old computer. I believe that the Album Artwork, Genius Data, and XML files can be regenerated from the Library file. Not sure about the Extras file.

Exporting different formats in the same sequence.

I created a sequence in FCE mixing both DV footage and MP4 footage (H.264 codec). I had no problems importing into FCE and working with both at the same time.
When I export quicktime movie to idvd and watch the dvd on a tv, the dv footage looks beautiful but the MP4 footage is very blurry.
I then tried many different compression options for export, but anything that makes the MP4 footage look good makes the dv footage look terrible.
Is there an export option in FCE that would create a reasonable looking DVD from original source material in different formats?

We used 2 different cameras when filming a project. I don't currently have access to the one used to film the MP4 footage. It saved onto a memory card during filming and I got it onto my computer by connecting the video camera and dragging the clips to a file on my desktop.
An example of the names the clips saved under is SDV_0403.MP4, SDV_0404.MP4, etc.
Properties of a sample clip as follows:

Sorry if there's irrelevant info there...I'm not sure what's necessary.
I would just drag the clips right from the file on my desktop to FCE either into the timeline or the canvas and insert them among others. Then render them so I could see them in the canvas, editing and rendering as necessary.
I will try the mpeg streamclip in the future, but I'm freaking out a bit because I've already edited hours of footage, and fear having to go back to the beginning to re-import my source footage and start from scratch. I definitely won't be working with multiple formats in the future. I'm just trying to salvage this project now as best I can.

Can I print the same image at different sizes on the same page?

I am trying to print a 5x7" image and 4 wallet sizes of the same photograph on 1 piece of paper. Can apperature do this? I'm just trying to utilize a whole sheet of paper.
I've been looking at contact sheets to try this but it doesn't seem like it's going to work. I was hoping for a really simple way to do this but I cannot find it.

I've not found a way to do that. The printing portion of the software is, at this time, somewhat rudimentary.

Data from Different datasources in the same table

Here I am under this complex problem.
I have two different Bapi's which are being called multiple times.
These bapi's have 3 common export parameters. I need to display a table with these 3 common export parameters (columns), as columns and two other custom columns.
Data in custom colums needs to be filled based on the the 3 original columns with some logic build over these 3 columns.
All the data returned under these columns is to be accumulated and showed in the frontend in a table.
Any ideas.. how will you handle this in the context of controllers and UI table.
Do I need to create a dictionary element?

Hi Amber,
In your context, create a value node with 3 value attributes for the BAPI output params with the exact same name as the BAPI params. Then you can use the WDCopyService class to copy the corresponding fields.
For the two custom columns, create 2 calculated attributes in the same value node. The WD framework will generate setters and getters for these attributes. In the setter method write the logic for calculation of these attributes.

- which table stores the people identities ? (I call this one Identity)
- which table gives the class where the student works in (I cal l this one Claa_attendees)
- which table gives the instructor of a class (I call this one Class)
If your issue is that you have one table which stores Itendities , and you need to display Student identity and Instructor Identity, you have to call this table twice in your query , using table aliases . I mean :

How to update data in database from different region of the same page

I have pepared two regions of tabular form based on the same table,each region is selecting different columns of the same table.
I want to update the values from different regions in the database using single submit button.

I presume that the two regions are working fine with their individual buttons and your issue is how to make them both save with one button.
Here is how
a. You will have 2 ApplyMRU and 1 ApplyMRD processes for each of the regions. Right? Lets say you have 2 "Save" (i.e. label=Save) buttons, one has name SUBMIT and the other SAVE ( SUBMIT and SAVE being the requests that will be sent when they are clicked , respectively)
b. Make the Display condition on one of the buttons 'Never'. Now it won't show when you run the page. Lets say you made SAVE's conditional Display 'Never'
c. Go and change the condition on all ApplyMRU and ApplyMRD processes from "When Button Pressed" to "Request is contains in Expression1". In Expression1 enter SUBMIT,SAVERegards

No. It would be very confusing to do so. Can they not share an
inheritance hierarchy? You can use flat mapping to do so.
