Stranger uploading profile pictures

My husband and I both have Skype accounts.  Recently, pictures of a girl have shown up in our profile section.  It happened to my husband first, then me.
We both changed passwords, but in his case it happened again.  The pictures are of the younger sister of a classmate of our son's.  She vehemently denys the activity, but they are definitely HER photograph.  She doesn't set it up that her photographs are used, they are only in the files when you look at your profile picture.  She is 15 and says "she doesn't even know how to use Skype."
Our accounts don't appear to be used, no time/credits are disappearing, only the calls we make show up.  So far it is "a prank" type activity, but what if she gets more active?
Should we delete our accounts and start over?  We only use Skype for a very few people, but this makes me nervous, finding this girl's pictures in our profile sections.  Thank you for any suggestions.  It was a fluke I recognized her, we don't even know her.  But she had uploaded her image into her sister's phone, so that is why I still strongly suspect it is her.
Thank you for any help,
kim

    Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,
    Nathan

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • Blurry Skype Profile Picture

I've yet to see any legitimate fixes for this.  With this new client I'm now forced to use, I seem to be expericing this bug/issue.  When I encountered this in the past, I just downgraded a version and waited until a newer version came out that I didn't experience this issue with.
Now that Skype is forcing people to use this one specific version (and future newer ones), I'm at a loss that this bug is still not properly fixed.
Also any responses about the image resolution, image quality, image file extention - no.  I've always had a HQ Skype profile image, I'm not trying to upload a picture from a potato that's 60x60.  It's not a stretching issue, it's not a resolution issue, it's a Skype issue.  I've never had this problem before and I've always had perfectly HQ images as my profile picture, when I rarely did have these issues, it was the versions fault after I upgraded - not mine.  Upgrading past that version or below that version gave me crystal clear profile pictures again and I never changed what I was doing or how I got them to be HQ.
Now that I'm being forced to use this new version, I'd like to know if there are any fixes for this issue or are people who also have this issue (and have had it for awhile now - a simple google search will show you how far back this issue has occured) have to endure this until a new version comes out that hopefully does not carry on with the said bug?
I've tried uploading the image at full resolution, smaller resolution, and from my phone.  Since I'm no longer able to use portable Skype apps that are lower than the newest version, I'm unable to utilize that fix.  I saw someone say uploading it from an iPhone works - I do not have an iPhone.  There was another solution about not using Windows 8 Desktop version - I use Windows 7 therefore I am unable to utilize that fix either.
Has anyone found a work around for this?  A fix?  Anything?

Okay, this is just pure annoying. I have a professional group on Skype, because most are used to Skype over Google Hangouts. I've had this group for a very long time. Over the years, we've upgraded the logo, and each time, we've made a Group Profile logo in Adobe Illustrator, as a high DPI Vector image.
Well, for the past like year, our logo, no matter what resolution it's in (96X96), (480X480), hell the full on 1920X1920, and all variants I can think of between still leaves the image blurry. I've even created a pure black and white version of the logo, to see if color support was the cause. It's still blurry. I've uploaded from one of our Mac's (OSX 10.7), Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows XP Pro, Android (Moto X Gen 1), iPHone 6 Plus (latest OS), and it's STILL BLURRY.
This is a seriously high quality logo, yet Skype makes it garbage for all of the professionals in my Group to see. No matter how I crop it, change it, upload it and from where, it's still frigging Blurry.
So as long as I use Skype, my brand will always look like retro-grade Windows 98 First Edition trash. Thank you Microsoft for never fixing this. I really appreciate the aggravation.
I've attached a sample logo (that isn't of my brand, or of my brands purpose). This sample is JPG that I just tried, as I was thinking maybe changing the image to something completely pointless may stop it from being blurry. It's still blurry. It's not any particular resolution, it's just a simple image to push home the point. It looks higher quality when full size, but in Skype, it looks like this:
--- NOTE, Microsoft refuses to let me post direct screenshots of the examples provided.

  • How to set a Student Profile Picture in Student File (PIQST10)

    Hi Experts,
I want to ask your help to know if there's a standard functionality for showing a student profile picture in the main screen of the student file (piqst10).
Thanks so much for your suggestions in advance.
    Best regards,
    Johann Daniels

    Hi Johann,
Currently in the standard it is only visible in the PIQSTM transaction. The Generic object services* provide you a framework to upload and relate documents to an object (in this example the ST object).
I do not know which system/version/etc you are using but you can check the following if it already is configured out of the standard:
    1. piqst00
    2. click on the little black arrow-button next to the titel of transaction 'student file'
    3. click on 'create'
    4. click on 'store business document'
    5. doubleclick on document type 'student photo'
    6. upload your photo from your local pc
    7. click on the green flag.
    8. It should be there on the right of the header ata once you open piqstm/d (if you double-click the photo a pop-up will open with the photo).
Please drop me an e-mail so that I can share a document with you that describes the steps to take to prepare your system.

  • Profile Picture on Facebook application

Good day, someone please help my facebook Blackberry application does not want to load my profile pictures from my album anymore, it say the phone cannot make contact with the Blackberry server

That has been a commonly reported issue over the past two months, for which no solution has been found. My best advice, keep trying. It will work with many tries. You might also try reducing the size of your image you are attempting to upload.

  • Profile picture limited to 96x96 pixels

    Dear Skype Moderators,
Do you know if there is anyway to store a profile picture with more than 96x96 pixels?  Or, if that is not possible, is there anyway to avoid Skype from upscaling the picture?
After multiple attempts, the best result I had was after I uploaded the picture from the OS X client:
    - in the same computer, the profile picture looks okay but not sharp, upscaled to 216x216 pixels
    - in a friend's OS X computer, the picture looks the same way as in my computer
    - in Windows 7, the picture is displayed with 96x96 pixels with a big white margin to fill 220x220 pixels
    - in an iPad, the picture is upscaled to 256x256 pixels and looks blurry
    - opening the Skype profile over the web, the picture is upscaled to 240x240 pixels and looks even worse
The original picture was 600x600 pixels at 300dpi.  Uploading from Windows made the picture look even worse.
The frustrating thing is that some of my contacts have really sharp pictures on the Mac OS.
    Thanks a lot.

Today I changed my profile picture and, after more attempts, I found out that the best way to upload the picture is using the iPad client.  I uploaded a 600x600 pixels JPEG at 300dpi, and it looks sharp in the iPad and in both the OS X and Windows 7 clients.  The picture looks nice even when I open the Skype profile over the web.

  • Mozilla FireFox Registered Users: How do I upload profile pic (unable to, no change)?

Hello. This is my first time posting in the Forums, and I am also a new user of FireFox (3.6.12). Fergive me if I posted in the wrong area, or if this question has already been addressed. I searched everywhere on Mozilla as well as the internet. No success. Running Windows Vista.
When you login to Mozilla (say, through the add-ons page), you are brought to the homepage, right? Well, I go there to edit my profile. I edit all the text and stuff, and they successfully save and appear. But when I go to upload a profile picture from my computer, it does not work:
In Firefox browser: I select the photo I want uploaded to be my profile pic. I only choose JPGs or PNGs. I do not know if there are dimension requirements since it doesn't say. I "upload" it, and there is a confirmation, but NO profile picture. Just the same default image. I wait several minutes, and no change.
In Internet Explorer 8 (yeah): I go back to Mozilla to login. I go to upload a photo. I choose a JPG or PNG (no other kind, not too big either). But when I try to upload the photo, Mozilla says there was an error and it could not upload. *The SAME photos I tried to upload via FireFox browser*. It kept saying that I had to upload only JPGs and PNGs, which I was already doing.
FireFox/IE are the only browsers I have installed. If you need any more info, I'll try my best to provide'em.
    Any help appreciated. Thank yall.

Why was my other post deleted? Alice Wyman and I have both been working on this (see my post in the contributers forum).

  • Spotify name and profile picture not showing publicly

I have linked my Facebook account to a new Spotify account that I made after my old one was compromised. I have since recovered my compromised account via support. My facebook account was disconnected by whoever hijacked the account.  I signed up for premium on this new account and intend to continue using it. After syncing with facebook on this new account and adding contacts, my profile picture and name show correctly on the desktop client and phone but my public profile does not show either my name or picture.  Is there anything I can do to remedy this problem or do I have to wait for the servers to update? Thanks.  Edit: old spotify username was John007H the new one is John007H2 (this account).

    Antohny,
Also be patient. It can take several days, before the uploaded image is approved, and shows. My two red wine glasses image took about 7-10 days, and this one about 5.
IIRC, in my profile, I had "(pending)" showing during that time.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • My Twitter profile picture is sideways when viewed on ANY iPhone.

    Hello,
My profile picture on my Twitter account is showing up sideways, 90 degrees to the right, when I view it from my iPhone. I also tried it on two other iPhones, a 3G and 4S and it's the same. It's fine when i view the picture from my computer. I tried removing and then uploading the picture again on Twitter, but it's still sideways on the iPhone. Trying to figure out if this is a Twitter issue or the iPhone?
    Thanks, Debbie

You connect the iphone to your computer via the cable provided with the iphone (USB).

  • WhatsApp Profile Pictures Not showing

Ever since I upgraded to iOS 6 some of my contacts profile pictures are not showing and this is very annoying. Can anyone who knows how to fix this please advise.

For me, what is concerning is, a app which was working absolutely fine suddenly becomes problematic that also after one update!!! Then why the update was necessary??? Look at the app world review. Each and every playbook user is facing the same issue globally with FB app in Playbook?? How is it possible? That means, after releasing the update RIM has not gone through testing for a single time??? Hahaha.. They made a update, they wished to push it, they it. See, Facebook application comes handy lots of time, most of the FB user cannot ignore that. Browsers lags sometime, more over when you want to upload photos and videos driectly from your playbook the app is excellent. And I loved to use Playbook Facebook app.
It is fine that RIM is focused on BB10, besides that they also need to address this kind of issues specifically the Playbook FB app is developed by them only.

  • Exchange 2013 on-premises doesn't see Exchange Online profile pictures

    Hello!
We are on an hybrid deployment with some users on Exchange 2013 on-premises and others on Exchange Online (Office 365 E3 plan). We have enabled photo sync (PhotosEnabled attribute) in the organization relationship, both on-premises and online, but while
Exchange Online users can see all profile pictures, Exchange on-premises can see only on-premises pictures.
It also looks like that online users can see only a low resolution version of on-premises users' pictures.
Do you have any idea how to troubleshoot or fix this, please?
    Thanks!

... but Exchange Online doesn't copy his his-res photo to online AD. This would explain why on-premises users cannot see online photos, but vice versa works...
    Hi,
Generally, if you upload a hi-res photo in Exchange Online,  Exchange will automatically create a 48 pixel by 48 pixel version of that photo and update the user's thumbnailPhoto attribute. Note, however, that the reverse is not true: if
you manually update the thumbnailPhoto attribute in Active Directory, the photo in the user's Exchange 2013 mailbox will not automatically be updated.
Therefore, the user photo would be read by the following method in order:
    1. The higher-resolution photo which is cached to 648 pixels by 648 pixels in Exchange Online\2013 used for Lync 2013.
    2. The higher-resolution photo which is cached to 96 pixels by 96 pixels in Exchange Online\2013 used for OWA, Outlook and Lync 2013.
    3. The low-resolution photo which is stored in the user’s ThumbnailPhoto attribute in Active Directory.
In your scenario, please upload a higher-resolution photo in OWA (Settings > Options > account > Edit information > photo > change) for a test Exchange Online user, wait for the photo updates in Exchange and AD. Then check whether this photo
can be viewed by other Exchange Online users and Exchange 2013 users.

  • Lync 2013 profile picture, the option "Edit or Remove Picture" is greyed out

    Hi
I am using Lync 2013 standard server, with Lync basic client 2013.
the profile picture button, the option "Edit or Remove Picture" is greyed out
how can i solve this problem.
    with get-CsClientPolicy, DisplayPhoto = AllPhotos.
is this the policy issue or client issue?

You can actually manipulate the client policy to have the option to upload a picture reappear in Lync 2013.
You can manipulate the PowerShell script below to apply it to the necessary policy
    $PolicyEntry=New-CsClientPolicyEntry -Name EnablePresencePhotoOptions -Value true
    $currentClientPolicy=Get-CsClientPolicy -Identity Global
    $currentClientPolicy.PolicyEntry.Add($PolicyEntry)
    Set-CsClientPolicy -Instance $currentClientPolicy
    Enjoy !!
