Style.css compatibility

This may be a silly question, but I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my style.css file.I'm new at this and I'm getting compatibility issues with a color selection that I'm using and I don't know why. Dreamweaver is saying that it is incompatible in IE 6,7 Netscape 8 etc.
Here is a sample of the code:
12.      }
13.      td, textarea, input, select {
14.      font-family: Tahoma;
15.      font-size: 10px;
16.      color: c6c6c6;
17.      font-weight: normal;
18.      }
Line 16 is giving me the error. Unsupported value:c6c6c6. But, the site shows perfectly in Chrome or Mozilla....
Thanks,
DJ

Put a hash mark "#" in front of the color hex. Interesting that some browsers show it correctly without it, but all will be able to show it if you use the hash.

  • Changing  Jheadstart Style for my Style.css

    Hi All
I got a Style.css and I´d to implement it on jspx.
    Is it possible?
    How do y do that?
    Thanks

Not sure what you mean. If you want to change the look and feel of the pages, then you can apply ADF Faces skinning:

  • Searching the correct "style.css" sheet for InfoView

    Hi guys,
i have to customize the apperience of InfoView for a Customer. I did pretty good by using Firefox and "FireBug" PlugIn so i can see which *.css Files i need to edit.
I hearbly cant find the "style.css" sheet for the Panel in the "Document List". I mean the Panel with the Buttons "Switch to Folder", "Switch to Categories", "Refresh", "New", and so on.
I also need to customize the Background color, Font, etc. there.
Firebug tells me the style.css lies here:
    SERVER:8080/InfoViewAppActions/ure/ure/dhtmllib/custom/skin_ure
But on the OS side i only have:
    D:\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\InfoViewAppActions\
And even no "style.css" file under the whole Folder InfoViewAppActions.
Anyone knows where i cant find this stylesheet ?
    Environment:
    Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2
    BOE XI 3.1 FP 1.4
    Default Tomcat 5.5
    Thanks in advance!

The file omni.jar is a ZIP archive in the Firefox installation folder that stores a lot of the extra (chrome) files that Firefox uses. In previous Firefox versions those files were separate files on disk, but those files were moved to one large ZIP archive that has an optimized file order to load the files in it as quickly as possible during the start up. If you want to inspect files in that archive and your file manager doesn't allow access directly than make a copy of the file and add a .zip file extension.
You can open that archive file and browse to the /chrome/toolkit/res folder.

  • Updating style.css or style itself doesn't update topics

I am having an issue with the styles within RH. There is a defined style.css that was created, however, when the individual fonts or formats are changed within it, it doesn't change the topics. In addition, when I tried to just update a specific style on the style and formatting pod, I make the changes, it stores them, but when I select it to update selected paragraph of text, it changes the font to something totally different and the formatting as well. Am I missing some other area where possibly a default is taking over and I am not seeing it?    It is becoming more and more frustrating, because I have had to go through topics over and over again, because it keeps re-formatting them on me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I believe the structure is correct, when I view the project manager, it lists the style.css as a top level item along with main folders, and the topics may be in some cases imbedded two or three levels deeper than that.  Here is the text from the style.css as well as a picture showing the prj. mgr.
    Thanks so much

    Rajendran,
We're having the same error after upgrading to NW04s, did you figure out the the root cause for this error?
    Thanks,
    Hanh

  • Clicking on style.css in web console opens html page

Why does clicking on the style.css and line number automatically open an html page?
first time using this and can't figure out why it does this or how to configure it to open with a different editor

For launching an external editor, this extension might be handy:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dafizilla-viewsourcewith/
Recent updates are on the "all versions" page:

If you try it, please report back on how it works for you.

  • Style.css no longer formats my site

My website would load an odd background color prior to loading the various webpages. I had lived with this for the past several months but last night decided to try and get rid of it. Somewhere along the way, I messed up something as my webpages, though displaying fine in design mode, do not access the styles.css when formatting for preview or live view on my site. The issue has to be with my style.css as all my web pages are impacted, and I did not touch those pages. The problem is also not local to a specific div, but all formatting is lost just as if I had deleted style.css from my website.
my website is www.casperguitar.com and my style.css is below if anyone can see something amiss. I'm not authority, but I did manage to build the site without many issues. This one has me baffled. Probably something stupid, though. Thanks for the help. Ken

Knew the answer would be something stupid. I had spent a couple hours hunting through things, but had overlooked this. I hate being on the rookie side of the learning curve. Some of these stupid little things take too long to resolve.
    Thanks for helping.

  • Multiple style.css files?

I'm a complete newbie to Dreamweaver and have several sites
that run off of the same domain. I have to admit I don't know mcuh
at all about Dreamweaver, style sheets, etc. but bought two
templates that I was able to update, but when I publish them the
background color, and some fonts change to the defaults of the
previous template (1 has a blue background with white type, and the
    other green with black type).
From what I can tell there is sowmthing called style.css file
that seems to set the default styles, and they have the same name.
Is there a way to have two of these files on the same site? Can we
assisng different names so that the pages know which style sheet to
    follow?
Any help you can give would be great.
    Renee

    Can you post the URL?

  • Have a simple External .css link, but it is overridden by basic & agl-styles css?

    Hello
Have just ?up-graded? to GoLive 9. Yes I have CS3 DW. I'm to old to change at this point.
Long time user with many websites, designed with GoLive 7. Most of these sites I have created, using one external "textMaster.css". All is fine.
I've created a simple new Golive 9 site with one "index" page. Imported one of my External.css, and placed this file in the CSS folder that GL9 creates.
On this index page I link to my external css, as in GoLive 7. Now I add a Grid layout, add a text box, and type some text. Once I'm finished, I select all the text and at the top menu bar assign [H1] to my text. In Golive 7, this would then use the [H1] text font, size, colour, etc. When I do this with GoLive 9, a two new external css are generated.
    agl-styles.css
    basic.css
The font size now seems to follow the agl-styles css, which for some reason has a font size of 66px assigned to [H1]???
If I delete the above two css files, the font DOES assign MY textMaster.css correctly. However as soon as I create another text box and then assign [H1] to it. All the text boxes on the page once again go to 66px. Also in the external css window, these two unwanted css files are back. In the "code" view, they are also now there.
    What am I doing wrong?
I have also tried this with a small existing GoLive7 website, that I opened and updated in GoLive 9. Same story.
I have looked in the GoLive9 pdf manual to find out what a "agl-styles.css" file is, and how to stop it from being generated. No luck.
Thanks in advance for any direction.

    Thanks Nate for your answer.
It's a VERY SAD SAD DAY, when one of the only reasons I was going to update from 7 to 9 was for a more up to date .css implementation.
SO VERY SAD to see, the most very basic one external text css, not work on a page.
I'm back to V7, got a refund from 9. Soon this forum which I have used for 7 years, will look like the hallways of the Vancouver airport at 11:47pm.
Thanks Nini, Nate, etc. I'll still be visiting this forum until it dies.
SAD SAD SAD! I'm sorry sir, there is now only one brand of car, it comes in one model and you have no options.

    Hi There,
We recently come to know from our team members that Microsoft going to release Internet Explorer (IE) 12. But there are some compatibility issues with HTML and CSS which can break our web sites. Can someone provide us list of issues that we can face in IE
12, so that we can work on their resolution.

  • CSS compatibility problem

    Hey y'all Adobe pros!
Got an issue for you. In a website I'm building, I've
attached several CSS sheets, and they always preview perfectly in
Dreamweaver, but in IE (I have IE7), some styles don't show,
leaving plain text. I've attached my home page - look at the file
I've attached showing this. Anyone got a solution?
I've run the Browser Compatibility Check in Dreamweaver, and
it shows that the lines of code where the css styles are attached
have errors, but having absolutely no skills in code, I have no
    idea what.
    Thanks

I don't believe you can. The most you could do is copy and
paste the entire code into a post. It would be just as easy to post
a link to the page in question.

  • 'index.html' cannot be found. 'styles.css' cannot be found.

Hello all. I've recently tried doing some tutorials so I can learn more css and I've come up with a problem...I'm only working locally out of a local folder and Dreamweaver seems to not be able to pick up the files. Here is a screenshot of what I get:
As well as an issues picking up my CSS documents:
I have a folder on my desktop with the index file as well as my css file, but I get this warning anytime I try to link the css file to the index.
    What gives here?
    Help!
    Jason Coleman

Put your files into a root folder and define the site. You should always define your site. It keeps everything organized
Here is a tutorial on how to do this

  • CS3 vs. 8 CSS compatibility issue?

I have a site that displays correctly with Dreamweaver 8, but
that doesn't display correctly in CS3. Is there some CSS magic that
I need to work to make things display correctly in CS3? The CSS
code shows up in CS3, but the displayed page has elements in the
wrong positions (many items overlay and absolute positioning is
    whack).
I have made no changes to the code, only upgraded to CS3...
    Confused

Show us the page, please. CS3 renders much more reliably than
    DW8, so there
    is definitely a coding problem....

  • Style.css not on the local disk -  wtflip???

I cannot believe this "no .css file found" stuff !!!!!!
I go to do my normal work and I CANNOT EVEN MODIFY THE FLIPPING CSS FILE!
All the files are NOT "C://..." they are exactly in the directory they have ALWAYS been. Now... Dreamweaver CC doesn't see it?????? come on. I'm stuck on my production work. I've searched boards online and NO ONE can answer this. Is there anyone with the understanding and knowledge of what I'm supposed to do here?
    I'm flipping stuck here!!!

No different than when on CS6. I exported from there and imported the ste info.
I also did what you said and created from scratch a new site and manually input the info.
absolutely FLIPPING nothing. How stupid. and a waste of my production time. I do not understand WAHT THE ISSUE is. it opens fine in CS6 and I can click on the css file and edit and save. I can't do this in the "new" cc 2014??????

  • Web Page Composer - Styles/CSS issues?

    On version 2004s SPS13...
In my testing of the WPC, I have a web page thate is using the 3-column layout.
I am dropping  a link list onto the right-most column.
The text is very large when on the web page; however when you view just the link list by clicking on it in the folder structure, it appears normal.
Has anyone else expereinced this issue?
I also have a similar issue where the title/link of a teaser on a web page has very large text.

We deployed SP 13 per the note 1080110, however it does not show WPC as updated, when we go to NetWeaver installed components, it still shows SP 12.
Any thoughts, we have tried to rebooted and tried to reinstall, SDM does not read the SCA file as it thinks its deployed, also the logs do show a successful deployment.
