SU number leading zeros

Hi Gurus
We have multiple plants and warehouses in our system and for our business reuirements HU and SU are both active
One warehouses use SU conversion length as 10 digits ( pallet numbers with 2 leading zeros) and other use 18 digits
I have a requirement to use different length conversion for SU in different warehoses
For enabling 18 digit SU numbers we have maintained SU conversion length as 18 but this is defined at system level
so for 10 digits SU numbers also system is asking to enter full 18 digits , thius is causing problems in RF transactions and manually in LS33 as well
Let me know if you have come across same thing or any other pointer for changing system to make it understand 10 digits as well
Cheers

  • BAPI_PO_CHANGE document number leading zero problem

    Hi experts,
    The following code clears the "Delivery Complete" flag on a list of Purchase Orders uploaded from a CSV file.
    The PO number is 9 digits long, however, in EKPO table it is stored as 10 digits (prefixed with a zero). The BAPI does not recognise the document number unless it is prefixed with a zero in the CSV file (which adds extra work for the user to create custom format in Excel to add the leading zero).
    What code is required for the BAPI to recognise the 9 digit number without the leading zero?   Perhaps the leading zero could be hard-coded into the program?
    Any advice is much appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

  • EAN number missing leading zeroes

    Hi,
    I have configured two types of EAN/UPC numbers, one being 12 characters and one being 14.  In our business, we have a situation where a material has a case UPC number 00099999123456 and a package UPC of 099999123456.
    When these values are displayed on the material master I will see either
    099999123456  or
    00099999123456
    but not both values with the correct number of leading zeroes.
    Is there a way to have the correct value with the right number leading zeros when the EAN number is the same except for the leading zeroes?
    The standard conversion routines i've looked at do not take into account there could be a different number of leading zeroes based on the EAN type assigned as the type is not a import parameter for  CONVERSION_EXIT_EAN11_OUTPUT.
    thanks!

    Hi,
    As per your query this is related to your configuration setting. Pls consult with SD/FI consultant and also consult with ABAPER. If configuration is ok then may be your have develop a programe and the programe may be wrong.

  • @ adding leading zeros to a number

    Hi,
    How do I go abt adding leading zeros to a 8- digit number?
    eg DATA: number(8) Type N.
        number = 16.
    How do i go about converting this to '00000016'.
    Note that the value in variable number would be read frm a file (Inbound prog).

  • Need formula to take text from one cell, add that to a serial number with leading zeros

    I'm trying to create a spreasdheet cell that simplifies creating videotape Numbers from a job name in cell and appends a serial number with leading zeros, and that would survive an export to EXCEL.
    The result would look like
     A Column
    Job Name
    B ColumnTape #
    Formula needed for B
    ClientName-TapeType-
    ClientName-TapeType-001
    =
    ClientName-TapeType-
    ClientName-TapeType-002
    =
    I've tried using a custom cell format that had the text in front of the (Integer) drag and drop, with three integers and leading zeros.
    That worked, but requires recreating the custom cell format for each client and tape type.
    So, I've used the formula =A2& in order to play around with different things, but haven't hit on something that adjusts for increased numbers and retains the leading zeros.
    I don't mind doing a starter for the first row and then adding +1 in the formulas for the rows below.
    I've done that using the custom cell formats for the first B cell and then using =Bx+1 in the following cells.  It works, but I'm hoping to find something simpler or that can be copied and pasted in multiple rows on one paste.
    Thanks in advance.
    Suggestions much appreciated!
    Ted

    Ted,
    This expression in B will give you the pattern I believe you are looking for:
    =A&RIGHT("00"&ROW()-1, 3)

  • How can I format a cell in Numbers to have leading zeros in a number?

    I imported a spreadsheet from Excel (Office 2014, Win 7) through iCloud and some numbers were formatted to have leading zeros (012358) in the original Excel file but the leading zero format was lost in Numbers.  Is there a way to format cells to have a number displayed with the leading zero in Numbers?  The leading zero is part of an identification and is important to the numbers (0027 is not the same as 27 in these records).
    thanks,
    Bob

    James has the formating part, but if you already did the import you can use the following formula to replace the zeros that were leading if you know it is a four digit reference number....
    =right("000" & A2,4)
    copy those values into your text formatted column from James' answer and you got it.

  • Appending leading zeros to material number

    Hi,
    I want to form a object key for material number. so i need to append leading zeros to material number. but i am getting "TYPE CONFLICT" shot dump in FM 'BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL'.

    CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL'

    Please tell me how to rectify the short dump which uses Conversion_exit_alpha_input.
    Thanks .

    Hi Shankar,
    When ever u pass parameters to any function module the type of parameters must match with the ones defined in function module. Here u defined ur object key like this
    data: wa_object(18) type c.(18 digits). But the in function module it referenced with BAPI1003_KEY-OBJECT (50 digits). So u have to define the variable with BAPI1003_KEY-OBJECT.
    Check this solution. It will work for u.
    data: wa_object(18) type c,
               wa_object1 TYPE BAPI1003_KEY-OBJECT.
    wa_object = '100301010'. "Material No
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT'
    EXPORTING
    INPUT = wa_object
    IMPORTING
    OUTPUT = wa_object.
    wa_object1 = wa_object.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL'
    EXPORTING
    OBJECTKEY = wa_object1
    OBJECTTABLE = 'MARA'
    CLASSNUM = 'FINISHED_MATERIAL'
    CLASSTYPE = '001'
    KEYDATE = SY-DATUM
    UNVALUATED_CHARS = ' '
    LANGUAGE = SY-LANGU
    TABLES
    ALLOCVALUESNUM = IT_ALLOCVALUESNUM
    ALLOCVALUESCHAR = IT_ALLOCVALUESCHAR
    ALLOCVALUESCURR = IT_ALLOCVALUESCURR
    RETURN = IT_RETURN

  • Leading Zeros in SU Number

    We are using SU Managment
    How do we get rid of leading zeros in SU# number range. System is storing pallet ID # with leading zeros in the LEIN table. This is causing issues while we retrive SU data from the tables, systems ask to enter the SU#  number with leading zeros.
    My Pallet Tag is printed with out leading zeros SU # 1234567890 and when the user tries to put away using LM02 system does not read the pallet ID. It looking for 00000000001234567890.
    Even on desktop LS33 if I try to display a pallet with SU # 1234567890 system looks for SU Num. with leading zeros.  Is there a way to get the leading zeros off from SU#
    Appriciate your help

    Please check in SPRO whether the conversion exit is maintained for Storage Unit Management. Follow the below path to do so.
    SPRO -> Storage Unit Management - > Master Data - > Define Number Ranges. In the Pop Up choose "Conversion exit for storage unit number" .
    Here you can define the "length of SU Numbers "

  • Leading zeros in credit card number

    I'm trying to allow leading zeros in a credit card field.
    I have 4 fields, one for each set of numbers.
    I'm currently using number format for each field.
    When the user types a leading zero in their credit card number, acrobat gets all excited and assumes that the leading zero(s) should not be there, then removes it / them.
    Is there any way I can allow leading zeros?
    Thank You.

    Thank You! I ended up following your instructions and using this:
    var fmt = /^\d\d\d\d$/;
    if(event.value != "")
        if(!fmt.test(event.value))
            app.alert("Incorrect format, must be four numbers");
            event.rc = false;

  • Leading zeroes on eight digit PO number

    We had a requirement to use an eight digit number for PO number instead of the standard 10 digits that SAP uses.  To accomplish this we created our number ranges with two leading zeroes (for example range 0060000000 to 0069999999).  Now on the GR screen when someone creates a GR based on a PO it is requiring that they enter the leading zeroes.  Is there any way to avoid this or is it always going to be required since that's the way the number range is assigned?
    Thanks!

    This can be ignored.

  • Document Templates in MS Word - how to cut the leading zeroes in number

    Hello CRM gurus !
    We use document templates in MS Word but have the document number printed with the leading zeroes.
    example we have now:
    0005000681
    example we want to have:
    5000681
    Question - how to do that?
    Is that in standard? The document number is the ObjectID tag as far as I know. Do I need to create another tag?
    Or may be just call a function? Do I need to change my current Web Service Tool? Is that some extra ABAP to be inserted?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
    have you tried to use this function call to delete de leading zeros?:

             input  = value
           IMPORTING
             output = value.

  • How to remove leading zero from Material Number

    Hello Everyone,
    I need to figure it out how to remove leading zero from material number. Cureently extractor is sending material number as 100663. But when comes into BI i am getting as "000000000000100663" and similariy in report it is appearing as "000000000000100663". Now my client wants me to exclude preceeding zero for a material in all the reports.
    Is there any setting in query desinger to handle this issure or in the backend.
    Need your inputs.
    Thanks,
    Lasya.

    Hi
    you can use the function Module
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT in the start routine
    to test this go to SE37  --- give the CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT -
    >display -
    > F8
    in the input give 000000456
    and execute
    the out put will be 456
    for getting Zeros you can use
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT--- to remove leading zeros

    We have a requirement to show leading zeros in the rdf output.
    We cannot use a format mask to achieve the same as the length of the field is not fixed.

    we cannot use a format mask as the length of the field is not fixed.
    we need to
    Kindly suggest if any solution exists for the same.

    the numbers after the decima can be anything..
    it can range between 2 to 10 or more...
    as told by you if we put the format as to_char(.68,'90.99') it shall give 0.68 but what for numbers like0.678,0.4567,0.765433 it will display only 2 digits after the decimal...
    The requirement is to dispaly the number as it is ,only the zeroes before the decimal should stay intact..
    we are not able to achieve this in rdf output..
    if it is
    0.678 then 0.678 shld be dispalyed
    0.4567 then 0.4567
    0.765433 then 0.765433
    one format mask shld wrk for all the above..
    we would not be changing the format mask for each number....

  • BAPI to remove leading zeros from the serial number

    Hi All ,
    plz can anybody suggest me the alternative BAPI for 'BAPI_SERVNOT_MODIFY_DATA ',whose function is to delete the leading zeros,from the serial number.
    Thanks.

    Perhaps instead of using a BAPI you can code it like this.
    DATA:serial(10) TYPE n VALUE '0000340078',
    pos TYPE i VALUE 1.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      WHILE pos <= 10 AND serial+pos(1) = 0.
        pos = pos + 1.
      ENDWHILE.
      REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '0' IN serial(pos) WITH space.
      WRITE serial.
