    It was actually really old code, after a bit of successful this-should-probably-work script editing!  I created a package in the AUR called dasm, which is an assembler for the Atari 2600 among many other systems.

    Hi,
    Since you indicate a version number for ghostscript in your post (8.54), I'm guessing the issue is that gs is not in the path for the applmgr user. On my system (Linux, not Solaris, so there may be differences), gs and pdf2ps are in different directories.
    Try running the following command as the applmgr user:
    which gsIf you don't get the path to gs as output from that command, you will need to add the path to gs to the path environment variable of the applmgr user.

  • /usr/openwin/bin/xmkmf: imake: not found

    I'm trying to install TightVNC on Solaris 10 (sparc) and have ran into several issues. This was a fresh Solaris install, therefore I recently installed make, gzip, and gcc from the sunfreeware site.
    # xmkmf
    mv -f Makefile Makefile.bak
    imake -DUseInstalled -I/usr/openwin/lib/X11/config
    /usr/openwin/bin/xmkmf: imake: not found
    PATH env:
    # echo $path
    .:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin
    I installed make in the /usr/local/bin folder.
    I'm not exactly sure what imake is so I'm fairly stuck at this point.

    I think I have an environment variable issue. Here is copy of the output of #env:
    OPENWINHOME=/usr/openwin
    PATH=/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/openwin/bin:/usr/ucb/:/usr/css/bin:/usr/sfw/bin
    PS1=#
    and here is an echo:
    # echo $path
    .:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin
    I may be adding the variable wrong because I'm getting a "make not found" error now. Do you have a good link on adding / appending onto environment variables?
    Thanks

  • SQLPLUS: not found

    Hello,
    8.1.7 on UNIX (generic). With a new SID in the Oracle profile, starting SQLPLUS returns "not found" instead of connecting to an idle instance. ORATAB, TNSNAMES, LISTENER.ora are updated, link to pfile and orapw file created.
    All works correcly when the SID that was created on install is used.
    On my last project with 8.1.6, a new or unknown SID would start an idle instance. LSNRCTL gives the same message with a new SID in the profile.
    Any ideas on what is missing ?
    Thanks,
    Kevin Lang

    If you get "sqlplus: not found" then the OS cannot find the sqlplus executable. Triple check how you change "just" the ORACLE_SID, and make sure that your PATH environment variable is not being updated, or is being correctly updated. [From the message you are getting I think you're using 'sh' or 'ksh'. But if you are using 'csh' then you might need to execute 'rehash' if the PATH is changed.]
    Using the '/nolog' option to SQL*Plus may eliminate the different ORACLE_SID as an issue.

  • Ksh sudo not found

    Hi,
    I logged in Unix servers and trying to access oracle DB by giving below cmd
    $ sudo su - oracle . But i was getting error msg says that
    ksh: sudo: not found
    Can someone assist me on this .

    The "sudo" executable is not in your path. Try either:
    <pre><dir-that-sudo-resides>/sudo su - oracle</pre>
    - or -
    <pre>export PATH=${PATH}:<dir-that-sudo-resides>
    sudo su - oracle</pre>

    my working environment:vmware server oracle enterprise redhat4; i am dowing RAC.
    after all setting, I try to install oracle clusterware
    I login as oracle user and type $unzip /u01/Stage11g/linux_11gR1_clusterware.zip
    i have an error:ksh:unzip: not found
    would you help me?

    Look i would say that you should not install on windows: I used vmware to cobfigure the database and i spent 3 days without seeing the sun and i have just finished it. it is very rewarding when you accomplish it.
    1) make user that oracle has permission to that directory
    chown oracle:oinstall /opt/oracle
    or try unzip the file using the root
    su -
    password
    go to that path where it is installed and then unzip it.
    when you are done let me know

  • [SOLVED]/usr/lib/arch-tempfiles line 106: install:command not found

    Hi everyone!
    This is my boot.log
    http://pastebin.com/1gfynhSN
    It says"/usr/lib/initscripts/arch-tmpfiles:line 106: install:command not found".This is leading to problems such as dbus and network manager not being started(even manually),no shutdown option,not able to 'open' log files without sudo  etc.
    I think a possible reason for this is that I had messed up with symlinks.I had issued the command
    sudo ln -s /bin/install /usr/bin/install
    .Then I had used
    cd /bin/
    unlink install
    Now,I find that /bin/install and /usr/bin/install does not exist.(I have deleted them!) .How can I fix this up?Any help would be appreciated.

    Reinstall coreutils (or manually extract install from the package and put it in /usr/bin).

  • .profile[5]: bin:.:  not found

    Hello All,
    OS: AIX 5.2
    Prior to install Oracle DB 10.2,
    I created the oracle user.
    $ id
    uid=200(oracle) gid=206(oinstall) groups=12(dba),17(oper)
    when I logged to the system remotely via oracle user,
    I got following message after logon to the system
    .profile[5]: bin:.: not found.
    pwd
    /home/oracle
    ls -a
    .profile
    I tried to run .profile manullay
    $ . .profile
    ksh: .profile: not found.
    DN

    that has been fixed.
    it was typo.

    Hi Andres, Can you please tell me how you resolved this issue? I'm getting the same error when I start EIS as windows services, but when I start from console it works fine.
    Updated................Issue resolved!!!
    OK. Upon researching other windows forums found that I had to add System DSN to ODBC administrator under "C:\Windows\*SysWOW64*\odbcad32.exe". This is because the server is a windows 64-bit machine.
    Thanks
