Sub Vars not working

I have transferred from v6.1 p4 to v6.5 on a different server. My problem is that I can't get any sub variables to work. Has anybody else come across this? I'm thinking it's a bug.Thanks

After updating substitution variables using the UPDATEVARIABLE command, the new variables are displayed in the Application Manager under Server > Substitution Variables, but a spreadsheet retrieval returns the old variables and their associated values.

On Demand Sub-Report not working

Hello,
I am using crystal reports xi-r2 I am having trouble getting an on-demand sub-report to work. After much trouble I am able to get the sub-report to work in the designer but as soon as I publish the report and access it from the CRS. It stops working. I can not get the sub-report to come up. Or it opens another window like it is going to show the sub-report but I get the original report again.
My second question is how do I open a trouble ticket now that this has all moved to SAP?

Oracle 8i - PL/SQL sub query not working in PROC, but works ins SQL

I have read about certain things not working in 8i and I think this is one of them, but I was wondering if anyone had a work around. In the place of the SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL, I have a table look up, where I am going to look up the OCN of the corresponding VENDOR_ID ( a column in the original query ). I am doing it in a decode statement because if the first condition in the decode statement is met, that's it. But if not, it needs to look up the OCN number in this other table. Simple enough, conceptually. I thought of a view but that necessitates a SELECT statement, too. Anyway, here is the code with the appropriate text bolded:

have read about certain things not working in 8i and I think this is one of them,Yes as I said scalar sub-queries were also not recognized within PL/SQL in 8i.

I was wondering if anyone had a work around.Write a function that returns the value. You may incur a performance penalty from a context switch to PL/SQL, but it may be balanced by the decode optimization you are attempting.

Sub-Reports not working.

Can you provide a more detailed description of how the report is created?
- Do you have groups in the report?
- Which section is the subreport sitting in?
- Is the subreport linked to the main report?
- When you refer to On-Demand subreport, do you mean you've enabled the check box for 'on-demand subreport' or did you enter an HTTP url. Please elaborate how you created the subreport.
- As a test, if you do not create an on-demand subreport and allow the subreport to display, does it show the correct data?

FP o/i sub vi not working

I must warn you this is a very simple vi and I am a beginner
I made a vi that writes and reads a boolean to a FP DO410 the vi works correctly so u made a sub vi out of it and wanted to use it in several locations of the new vi.
A couple of things I found are the
1 it�s not working (or I wouldn�t be crying)
2 if I change the channel name in 1 sub vi the second is also changed (I require channel 0 and channel 1)
if anybody can through me a bone I�d be grateful

Attached is a ZIP file containing edited versions of your VI.
I have included a control on the sub-VI that allow the main VI to specify which I/O point each call is going to act on.
I have also included some notes in the sub-Vi that recomend breaking up the sub-VI into three parts.
1) Sets up the I/O.
2) Write and read I/O point
3) Close connections to I/O device.
As in my previous posts, these are simplified suggestions. Elegent solutions should be implemented to do this correctly. But, this comes latter.

Email sub accounts not working

I use Windows Live Mail and have for years. My main account works, but my sub accounts stopped working. I get a pop up for my password. It doesn't work and keeps popping up until I cancel and then I get an error that the email can't send or receive because the wrong password was entered. This is the same password I've always used in the past.

We have migrated MS access 2003 (.adp) applciation to MS access 2010(.accdb). There are few functionalities in the application not working as expected. A form opens on a button click has two sub forms. Applications throws error when button is clicked. run
time error 2467. The expression you have entered refers to an object that is closed or doesnt' exist.

Main form contains sub form and that has another sub form within in. There was a query for the record source whcih ihave replaced with recordset.

Spry bar sub menus not working. Am at wit's end.

Hi all,
I am having trouble with getting my submenus on my spry bar to function. At first I was getting the error message of spry undefined. I looked for answers in forums, and tried a few things like making sure the .js file was there, looking for code mistakes, etc. Nothing worked, so I then deleted and reinstalled the spry bar and spry assets files, and of course, uploaded them to the server. Now I don't get any error messages, but the submenus just don't drop down.

Although you didn't get an answer here, I visited your web page and it looks like you found a way to solve the problem. I am having a similar problem and wonder if you (or somebody) can help me?
My problem is that while everything else works just fine, my sub-submenus do not. The first one drops down, but the second one does not (so it looks like I have one item when in fact I have two).
My css code is copied directly from Adobe's SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css. The only things I changed were some button widths, colors, and I tweaked the location the buttons appear in (but did not change original locations nor z-indexes, I don't think!). I am reprinting it below, just in case.
I am using the last version of Spry (1.6.1).
Here is a link to the page, and when you view it, keep in mind that only "Portfolio" has sub-menus, and of those, only "Writing" is supposed to have more than one sub-item ("Fiction" and "Non-Fiction").

I am having developer license of Crystal Report 2008. I am able to generate report using Java JDK 1.5 , JSP,Oracle10g , deployed on WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.29. I am not able to generate Sub reports. Can you please help us with sample code to how to call and configure subreport and please send configuration CRConfig.xml.

On condition when we link the main report to subreport through parameter.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by tabbed reporting. Do you mean having multiple reports open at once within the Crystal Reports Designer?
If this is the case, the viewer is designed to only have one report open at a time.

GigaWorks S750 with DDTS-100 Decoder - Center/Sub channel not working.

I have the S750 with the DDTS decoder and everything was working fine until the other day. I have tested several times and from what I can tell there is no signal being sent from the sub to the decoder from the Center/Sub channel wire (S750 sub) to the decoder. Plugging the center speaker wire into the left speaker jack will produce a test signal so I know it is not the speaker. Seems the sub has gone out along with the center channel. I checked the fuse and all is well. Please help...

Express sub card not working

I upgraded my E520 to windows 7 Pro from Windows Xp after a hard drive crash. I was able to get everything to work but the 34 pin Express sub card slot. I am not sure if I am missing a driver or what. Any suggestions?

The closest driver I can think of is the Intel chipset driver.
Try installing that with the -overall switch:

Spry Vertical Menu and sub menus not working correctly

I am designing a website for a client and cannot get the spry vertical menu and submenus to work correctly. The submenus will show on the index.html page, but not on any other pages, or when I preview in browser. Should I make it a library item then add it to the other pages? I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I appreciate your help!

Text Var not working correctly in workbook

Hello all,
I have created a text var which is working on replacement path on 0calday.
i have added this text var in a query and ran through query designer ( execute through web ) it is showing correct results.
i have created a workbook whereas i have added this query and some other similar queries as well .
Now when i run the workbook , it is showing incorrect results for text var , while as when i am running query individualy ; it is showing correct results.
Kindly advice ..

Do the other queries in that workbooks have the same variable for 0calday..?
If yes, it may be possible that it is showing the values according to the variable value of the other query.
If this is the case, try by doing the variable melting off, from Workbook Settings > Variables > and uncheck Display similar variables only once.
Now when you refresh the workbook, it will ask for the variable values for each query individually.

Sub domains not working? help

I recently got my server going with the dns being
server.domain.ca
I have domain.ca as primary zone
server.domain.ca as Machine with IP 10.0.1.14
gallery.domain.ca as Machine with IP 10.0.1.14
I also have both domain.ca and server.domain.ca as a service (SRV) for http port 80
I have added both to Web>Sites and left the folder destination etc in default, all seems to be working well with those names and server.domain.ca is hosting my calendars (although domain.ca goes there as well??)
Anyway Im trying to add gallery.domain.ca to Web>Sites
I added it to DNS as gallery.domain.ca machine and IP 10.0.1.15 and at times to 10.0.1.14 to see if its been working. It shows the default wiki etc but I assume this is wrong
I have changed the Web folder path and no go just the default wiki.
All site in Web>Sites are astrix not IP's
What im trying to do is get gallery.domain.ca with its own folder and use WebDav for images and permissions
What am I doing wrong for it to not even see the new folder?
Where I have the domain name registered I have
A record fo domain.ca pointing to my static IP
A record for gallery to my static IP
A record for server to my static IP
And a CNAME for www pointing to domain.ca
Im stuck I can't figure why gallery.domian.ca wont work on its own folder

I would suggest to start with a simple configuration and just have the two sites server.domain.ca and gallery.domain.ca on the same ip address. Then be sure the Web Server Alias does not contain a dot, I used the Host Name here too.
So your DNS server and web server are running on the same server?. When you type http://apple.com in your browser your answered by http://WWW.apple.com but is this handled by the DNS or webserver? Do you want a response from www.domain.ca or just domain.ca?
