Subject line blank for email using Milkman Games GoViral ANE

I'm using Milkman Games' ANE called 'GoViral' and it won't include a subject line when I select Email from the activity sheet.  Why is that?
Here is my code:
GoViral.goViral.shareGenericMessage( "subject", "message", false );
Thanks

You're using the generic message, and whether the subject appears may depend on where you send the message. Read this page about that:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/ios6-social-networking-with-goviral-ane.html
If you really want to send an email, try using showEmailComposer instead, as shown here:

This is usually caused by one or more bookmarks having a long title.
You can check that folder in the Library and shorten long names.

  • Incorrect PO number in the subject line of a email

    Dear All,
Our customer has implemented the PO be email functionality. Configuration is done to get the PO number on the subject line. This works fine when individual release is done. But when we perform the collective release, only One PO number is picked in the subject line of the email for all the Purchase orders.
    The following is the customization:
    Replacement of Text symbols
    Program                      SAPLMEPO
    FORM routine             TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE
Processing routines for the output type : ZSAPFM06P
    FORM Rotine: OLD_ENTRY_NEU
Kindly let me know if somebody has had a similar problem.
    Best regards
    Vinod

    Goto NACE .
u2022 Select EF and click on OUTPUT TYPES.
u2022 Then select Output Type NEU and click on processing routines .
u2022 In that you have to add a new entry - medium 5 .
u2022 Then you need to assign a program, form routine and form.
u2022 You can use the standard program i.e. SAPFM06P, FORM routine is always ENTRY_NEU and standard MEDRUCK.
u2022 Then in PARTNER FUNCTION you need to add a new entry : medium - 5 and function - VN .
u2022 For subject of the mail goto Mail Title and Texts. In title give PO No. &EKKO-EBELN& .
u2022 Under General data -> Replacement of text symbols give programm as SAPMM06E and Form Routine as
    TEXT_SYMBOL_REPLACE .
u2022 Now the subject will be PO No. XXXXXXXXXX.
u2022 You need to maintain your email id in tcode SU01 and also the vendor's email id.
u2022 Now while creating a new purchase order , change the medium to External Send .

  • How to format Data in subject line of an Email

I have an email submit button on my LiveCycle form and the client wants data from the form in the subject line of the email. I have the button set up and the patterns set up on the fields but the data in the subject line doesn't display the way it does in the fields. this is what I have.
    var oDoc = event.target;
    var nSubject = Page1.Top.txtEmpID.rawValue + " " + Page1.Top.dteTo.rawValue;
    oDoc.mailDoc({
    cTo: "[email protected]",
    cSubject: nSubject,
    cMsg: Page1.Top.txtLastName.rawValue + " " + "Performance Agreement"
The Employee ID is 7 digits including leading zeros (0123456) and the date is formatted MM-DD-YYYY. When it goes to the subject line it doesn't show the leading zeros (123456) and the date is formatted YYYY-MM-DD.
    Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

To get the formatted date striong use formattedValue instead of the rawValue in your scriptings.

  • Can you create a To Do from the Subject line of an email?

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a To Do from the subject line of an email in Mail?
Here's what I'm trying to do. I open a mail message, then I can highlight any text in the body of the message. When I do this, the To Do button becomes enabled. If I highlight the subject of the message, the To Do button remains disabled.
Is there any way of doing this aside from highlighting text, then changing the text?
    Thanks!

Open Mail Help from the Help menu. One of the main topics listed is how to create to-dos. Click on it to see what you are able "to do."

  • How can I edit the Subject Line of an email I've received?

When the sender inserts vague or misleading text in the Subject Line (or leaves it blank), sometimes I'd like to edit it - makes organization and retrieval of information which might be in the email easier for me.
I've tried opening the email file with a text editor (TextWrangler) and editing the "Subject" line. That partially works: When the message is open for reading, my edited Subject appears near the top of the message.
However, when looking a list of emails in a Mailbox, Mail still displays the unedited Subject - which defeats my purpose.
    What am I missing, here?

Hi Gary, I think Mail is using stored info, not sure which of these two hold that, but...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.

  • I want to change subject line and save emails from others

For instance my client may respond to an email question and I want to change the subject line because it includes an answer such as clients address, but I cannot figure out how to change the subject line and save it to my file folder I have for them.

This add on claims to do that.

There might be others but that is the first one that came up. I have never used it so I cannot speak for how well it works.

  • How do I change the subject line on incoming email

On my old PC I could easily start typing in the subject line of a received email.  This would allow me to search for a name later on when looking for an invoice.  I dont know how to change the subject line of an incoming email to my imac?

This site tells you how to edit the subject of a message.  I just tested using OS X 10.8.5 and it worked, without altering the time & date stamp, or the original sender info.
    http://email.about.com/od/macosxmailtips/qt/et_edit_receive.htm
    Steps copied below:
Drag and drop the desired message out of Mac OS X Mail onto the Desktop.
Ctrl-click on the message copy on the Desktop.
Select Open With | TextEdit from the menu.
Make the desired changes to the message source. To change a message's subject, look for "Subject:" at the beginning of a line starting from the top.  (hint, you can use 'Command-F' to bring up a search window to help you find the "Subject").
    Close TextEdit saving the document.
Ctrl-click on the message on the Desktop again.
Select Open With | Mail from the menu this time.
Now select Message | Copy To followed by the message's original folder from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.
    Close the message window.
Delete the message copy from your Desktop.
Optionally, delete the original message in Mac OS X Mail.  (when I tested this, the original message was no longer there.  Not sure what happened to it, but the changes worked without editing the time, date, or original sender information.)

  • Subject Line & Sender's Email Address Not Printing

When using ePrint to print my emails, the sender's email address and the subject line do not print.  How can I get them to print?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi eldi,
    Thank you for the update.
If I knew how design engineers thought then I probably would have become one.
You should be able to see who sent the email to the printer by logging into your HP ePrintCenter account or your HP Connected account (HP Connected has only been rolled out to the USA, the UK, France, and Germany).   Each account has a job/print history available.  If you are unsure who sent the job to the printer, you can always log into your account and check the email address the print job was sent from.   I’ve included a screen shot from each account and I've highlighted where you would find the email address that sent the print job.

  • Issues with subject line when moving emails to another folder

    Hi.
For the past few months I've been having a problem moving groups of emails from my inbox to another created folder. When I move a group of emails to another folder the subject of all the emails swap with each other. The issue seems to be with the iPhone native mail app only as when I connect via iPad or web the emails are correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Not that I'm aware of.
Mail.app isn't a particularly scalable database in general, so you might want to look at your workflow.
For better or worse, email is often ill-suited as a general information-storage and transfer mechanism.
You might be able to set up a Rule to perform the move when the message arrives; if the mail messages involved are uniquely identifiable.
It's also possible to implement server-side rules, depending on what you're up to, and what your own mail server or particular your mail provider supports here.
I'm using a combination of these two approaches locally.
Or swap out for a different mail client or a mail-handling package; a package or a tool that's better suited for the scale that you're apparently working at, and the requirements you have.

  • T-Bird does not spell check the subject line of an email. (v24.4.0).

    Hello,
When composing an email I have chosen to have Thunderbird 24.4.0. check for misspelled words with both underline and spell check prior to sending.
While testing I noticed that it underlined and spell checked everything except the "Subject" line.
Thunderbird will underline misspelled words in the "Subject" line but won't look for a correct word prior to sending as it does with the body of the email.
Are you aware of this and is a fix on the way?
    Thanks so much
    -v-

Absolutely NO themes or add-ons whatsoever on my system. I run the program "as is" when downloaded (v.24.4.0). I restarted in safe mode as a you suggested. I got the same results - no spell checking in the subject line. Spell check drops directly to the body of the email. Spell checked the body fine. Running WIndows 7. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would correct the problem. It did not.

  • Can I enter a subject line into automated emails from the web?

    Hi everyone
I'm setting up a button on my website to enable visitors to subscribe to my mailing list.
The button opens up a new email, addressed to me, which the visitors will send back to me, thus giving me their email address.
Is there any way I can fill in the subject line for these emails so it says something like "Add me to your mailing list".
I suppose it's a bit like when you email photos from iPhoto and the subject line e.g. "10 great photos" is already filled in.
    Would really appreciate any advice.
    Thanks in advance

You need to break it down into several pieces:
    1. An event that causes mail to be sent.
    2. Creation of the content to include in the mail.
    3. Creation and sending of the mail message.
JavaMail will help you with #3. The rest are up to you.
JavaMail comes with several examples that show you
how to create a mail message and send it, given the
email address of the recipient, the content, the mail
    server address, etc.
There's also pointers to many documents and tutorials
that will help you learn JavaMail. See the JavaMail
web site. And don't forget to read the FAQ.

    post them here.
