Subnet advertisement with different BGP peer

Hi expert,
This might be a stupid a question. But just bear with me. Am actually a noob in BGP, so your help is greatly appreciated.
I have the below scenario:
Three providers
P1 subnets: 1.1.1.0/24, 2.2.2.0/24
P2 subnets: 3.3.3.0/24 4.4.4.0/24
P3 subnets: 5.5.5.0/24 6.6.6.0/24
Lets say i want to advertise subnets 2.2.2.0/24 from P1 to P2 and advertise P3 5.5.5.0/24 to P2.
Is this possible?
How will i go about the config?

It depends on how you're peered up and if you have any filtering between you. By default, BGP will advertise anything that's in its table. For example, if you have:
P1 -- P2 -- P3
And you advertise 1.1.1.0/24 from P1 to P2, P2 will advertise to P3. There are caveats though. That's with an ebgp peering (Different AS numbers). If you have all of these in ibgp (same AS number), P1 will advertise to P2, but P2 will not advertise to P3 because it was an ibgp learned route. In that scenario, you'd have to have a full mesh of peerings or use confederations/route reflectors.

We are running Multi-homed network, to influence the BGP route selection, we are using AS path attribute with route-maps.
Recently, we observed that the routes advertised on TCL network(ISP 1) were not reflected in global routing table.
For example, we have advertised a network (196.X.X.X/24) on TCL BGP peer as best path and also advertised the same network on another BGP peer with AS path pretend of 10times. But, the network is reaching via Bharti BGP (iSP 2 )peer instead of TCL peer.
Can anyone help understand as why it is preferred route is via Bharti

Network statement in BGP configuration is used to identify which networks are being advertised. BGP process then checks the global routing table, if it sees a prefix in global routing table and with exact match (including subnet mask), only then it will advertise that network to other BGP peers.
Is this network a local network or learned from other routing protocols? If locak, make sure you enter exact mask of the network seen in routing table. If learned from other routing protocols, the better way is to selectively redistribute iGP routes into BGP using prefix-list and route-map.
As far as convergence is concerned, below is explanation:
BGP routers router will not start the BGP Best-Path calculation/selection process until they receives all NLRI from BGP peer. This will be known from UPDATE messages. End of UPDATE messages is usually identified after a KEEPALIVE message is received.
The time taken to learn new best path is directly proportional to number of NLRIs received from peers.
Only when your service provider router selects it's best path, and installs into RIB, it is going to send UPDATE message to your routers. If SP routers use line cards with Cisco distributed forwarding, it is going to populate it's FIB and then send UPDATE message.
It depends on how fast your Bharati BGP peer detects your network unreachable and sends UPDATE messages to it's peers to withdraw your network's NLRI from it's routing table.
There are ways to improve this convergence, but at service provider level. In your network, if you want faster re-convergence, static routes (with higher AD) would be a wonderful solution.
Few other ways would be to use:
Bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD)
fast neighbor failover
BGP next hop tracking
BGP best external path (IOS and vendor specific)
BGP prefix convergence (IOS and vendor specific)

Why connect two dhcp servers with different IP addresses?

so for an assignment at college we had to configure a router connected to two switches which both had a server connected to them.
the computers were connected via dhcp to either server however each side had a different IP. we have now been asked to justify as to why two servers were used with different IP which I cannot quite produce a business orientated answer.
I can understand connecting two dchp servers on same IP to increase fault tolerance but I do not understand using two separate IP addresses.

Does “using two separate IP addresses“ mean 2 subnets which are connected by router？
If you have separately configured 2 DHCP servers on the 2 subnets, and want 1 of the 2 DHCP servers to provide fault tolerance for the other. You need to use an RFC 1542–compliant router, or DHCP relay agent, in order to forward DHCP broadcast traffic.

Connect 2 externa monitors with different resolutions?

Is it possible to oonnect 2 external monitors, with different resolutions to a mbp pro?
I've read some about the "matrox solution", but that one requires that the monitors uses the same resolution.
And, just to be clear, I don't want to just duplicate the screens, one should be primary.

You may want to phone OWC and ask whether what you want to do is possible if one monitor is connected to the mini-Displayport and the other is connected to a USB port using this adapter:

Note that the OWC adapter, like most USB video adapters I've seen advertised, is limited to a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200, so you won't want to use it with a monitor whose native resolution is higher than that.

Help needed with snmp bgp

what i'm trying to do is get the bgp peer state using the OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2 , however , i only get the ipv4 adresses , is there a way i can get the ipv6 peer states via snmp?
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.15.3.1.2.192.168.0.200 = INTEGER: 6
i've put the generic output of a snmp walk against de device , with generic ip "192.168.0.200"

BGP Peer down monitoring through SNMP Traps

Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how I can monitor with BGP peer went down using SNMP traps or any other methods that are out there. Basically I would like to get a trap that tells me the IP address of the peer that went down.
Looking over the SNMP MIBs for BGP all i can find is snmp traps that tell me there was a change in states in BGP, but don't say which neighbor.
Is there any way to get such information? Would I have to use EEM with some script? This seems like a very common thing that people would want to know.

SNMP notifications can be configured on the router and GET operations can be performed from an external management station only after BGP SNMP support is enabled.

and i cannot use the remote ip for these reports that come from other machine

for each report i have to create a database the report database on my machine and then open the report ?
or there is some other way to open the report ?

Both me and partner have an ipad 4. Though we only have one computer, can we use the same itunes but with different apple acount without any issues? We use some of the same apps, but my partner plays fx Baldus Gate and is worries that save files will be corrupted.

Each iPad should be linked to its owner's personal, private and nonshared AppleID. In the Mac, each one should have a different login account so each has their own iTunes Library containing your iPad's details. When you use iTunes on the Mac, since each logs in with a different login and corresponding Home directory, iTunes picks up the correct AppleID.

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

Photos. They are on my macBook, backed up on time machine. Copied them (hours and hours) to external hard drive. They are now in alphabetical order (19,000 of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order-and have been taken with different cameras- help!!!!!!

I want to take them all off my laptop, now............as I need to use it for WORK!!
Copied them (hours and hours) to another external hard drive.
They are now in alphabetical order (all 19,000+ of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order. (-They have also been taken with different cameras over the years and some of the generic camera numbering remains.)
I have tried to copy them (only a few as an experiment) one event at a time, but that again "opens up" the Event "folder" and tips them out as individuals and therefore just lists image letters and numbers alphabetically.
How can I copy
the whole library still in "Events" to an external hard drive?
the folders/albums I have already made on to this hard drive?
and how can I add to this back up monthly, again keeping events and folders separate and updated?
Mac is so user friendly - there must be a way.........

UPDATE : I have re-installed from disk, various apps that were no longer functioning such as iLife, iWork etc. So, I now can access my photos again.
Also, I had to re-install all the software for my printer ( Stylus Pro 4880 ) and reset it so the printer is working again.
Photoshop CS4 won't open. I think I will have to get in touch with Adobe as basically, I guess they have a built-in "blocker" which prevents me from opening the app as the license is for only 1 user and having re-installed the OS, there are now, in effect, 2 users ( Me and Me 1, I think ).
So, having added on a new external HD, Time Machine has made a copy of most of the files, folders, apps etc onto the external HD. The internal HD is still nearly full ( 220 GBs out of 232 GBs ).
I am guessing the way to go now in order to free up space on the internal HD is to delete/trash older photos from my iPhoto library and hope that if needed, I will be able to access them on the external HD.
Am I correct ? Please advise before I do something I will regret.

Items in the shopping cart appear with different price than in the catalog

We are running SRM 5.0 (Classic Scenario) with external catalogues.
After selecting items from the external catalogue and transferring them to the shopping cart, the items appear with different price(the problem exists in the productive system)
The strange thing is that there is no dependence or sequence between the differences. For example, in one shopping cart, one item is with correct price, the price of the other item is not correct (when I click on the icon which is showing item details in the catalogue, the price is different than the one in the shopping cart). Sometimes the difference is significant, sometimes not - if the item price in the catalogue is 22.34 EUR, in the shopping cart is 21.22EUR or if the item is 45.62EUR in the shopping cart is 45.60 EUR. There is no logic.
I tried to create a shopping cart in the support system, with the same items from this catalogue, and they are sent back in SRM with the correct prices.
I traced all OCI parameters, sent from the supplier catalogue, and everything is correct.
At the example given below the price in the shopping cart ordered in the productive system is 69.00CZK, and after that during the test the correct price of 73.870CZK has appeared.

I checked the error log in SLG1 for BBP_OCI, and no error message exists. In my opinion the problem can be in supplier system, because otherwise all items will be with wrong price. And at the moment, there are shopping carts in which all items are with the correct price!
It is not something in the user profile, because in one shopping cart created by one user some items are correct, some of them not.
I also checked with the supplier, they said that they haven't change the price, recently.
Has somebody of you met this problem?
In the IMG-> Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.) I have set all parameters for the standard call structure: the URL of the supplier, our company ID and password for their catalogue.
In the Detail view for the catalogue, the following parameters are set

That means that we are not maintaining material numbers in SRM, so there are no predefined price or info records for that materials in R/3 system, or in SRM.
In the set up of external catalogues, validation of the price is set. Which means that, if a new shopping cart is created from already existing one, and meanwhile, a change of the price is done by the supplier in the catalogue, the new item price will be adopted in the shopping cart.
No prices are maintained in the SRM system, everything is from the supplier catalogue.
