Successfactors (SBS)- Query

Hi Experts,
We are figuring out SuccessFactors integration mechanism called Side by Side (SBS) for our client, however we have certain queries for which we are struggling to get the answer.
What are the pre-requisites for using SBS?
We understand that ECC6 is required but do we also require EHP6 over this and if yes, which patch level and does it require HR Renewal also?
Can we call ABAP Webdynpro applications on EC using SBS?
Looking forward for your advice.

Thanks for writing this post. I was facing similar issue and this was the only post on the subject. I was getting the same error while validating the job. I was not able to trace the reason for the same. Now, I know that the error occured due to CORRUPTION. I am current work, we are facing lots of performance issue due to limitations of the server hardware. We restart the server once a day to resolve performance issues. One such restart must have corrupted my work.
What I did was:
STEP 01: unckeck the box under FROM clause of Query transform and then validate the job. There were some new errors.
STEP02: Check the box again and validate. BINGO !! The error was gone.
Hope the post will help other is future too.

Sharepoint Foundation 2013 On a SBS 2011 Domain??

I have an SBS 2011 domain with 2 servers(SBS2011 Premium) The SBS box acts as domain controller and the second server runs Server 2008R2 and has SQL 2008R2 on it for Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM 2011 and hosts the Sharepoint Foundation 2010 Databases. Is
there a way that I can setup a Sharepoint Foundation 2013 farm. Currently both boxes are farm members in the 2010 farm. I would like to keep the setup similar but if I have to can I just run the farm on the 2nd server. Will it live side by side with the Sharepoint
2010 on the SBS box. What about Companyweb? Thanks in advance

SBS 2011 DNS Resolution Slow

I have a customer running SBS2011 Standard. We've had problems with slow DNS resolute for a very long time. When users on their workstations go to a web site in IE, it usually takes a couple of seconds to load the site. The best example
of the problem is on Yahoo!. When users click a link there, IE will spin for a while and then time out. If they click on the link again, it usually loads the second time.
We recently switched internet providers and I was hoping that might resolve the issue, but it has not. The server is up-to-date as of a month or so ago and I've run BPA and the only issue there is with WSUS Group Policy objects, which I don't care
about. I wouldn't think this would be related to that. There are no errors in the DNS logs. This server was originally a clean install of a new domain, not a migration.
I have Forwarders configured and have tried using the DNS servers of the old ISP, the new ISP and OpenDNS. No improvement with any of those changes. On the Monitoring tab of the DNS server properites, "A simple query against this DNS server"
and "A recursive query to other DNS server" both fail every time. If I get rid of the Forwarders, those queries still fail and DNS resolute at the clients is still slow.
I know there was a DNS issue that was reported by the BPA a while ago and I fixed that. I think it was a registry setting that needed to be adjusted, but I can't recall the details right now.
I ran DCDIAG last night and was receiving messages about running Chkdsk to fix errors. I was hopeful that that would fix something, but I'm no longer getting that message. Now, the only errors in DCDIAG are SystemLog errors about not being able
to contact a machine that has been off the network for a while.
Restarting the server or just the DNS server has never helped.
My server has a PTR record in the reverse lookup zone and a static A record in the Forward Lookup Zone.
When I run NSLookup, it only responds with

On another SBS server that I have, it has all of this information:

I would certainly change the router, just to rule it out.
Have you run the SBS BPA and fixed any issues it highlights?
If pointing a client directly to an external DNS, improves, but does not fully resolve, i would be inclined to say the Server is 'ok' and that it may be the router at fault.
It has been too long since i looked at a ProSafe router, but there may well be some firewall settings you can tweak.

I can't add my Widows 7 Professional to my SBS 2003 R2 Domain

I am working on a Windows 2003 R2 Small Business Systems network, with 6 Windows Vista computers already attached to its domain. I am trying to add a Windows 7 Professional laptop to this domain, but have not been able to make that addition, even though
I have tried several of the fixes I have found on different forums. I have run the KB926505 patch on the server, tried adding the computer through the sever addition process then tried to add it from the computer. All efforts have failed. When using the server
set up, I am told that a script will run to complete the process, but that never happens. When I try to add the computer to the domain from the computer, I get an error that says it can't find the domain controller, even though I can ping the IP of the server.
The text from the "dcdiag.txt" file is -> DNS was successfully queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain "pinnaclesalesinc.local":
The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.pinnaclesalesinc.local
The following domain controllers were identified by the query:
(no Active Directory Domain Controllers found)
However no domain controllers could be contacted.
Common causes of this error include:
- Host (A) or (AAAA) records that map the names of the domain controllers to their IP addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses.
- Domain controllers registered in DNS are not connected to the network or are not running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On the laptop go to the command line and run ipconfig /all to make sure the laptop is getting its IP info from the SBS2003's DHCP and verify DNS is pointing to the SBS2003 server. The DNS server on the laptop needs to point to the SBS server and
not some other DNS in order to retrieve that record. If it is OK then maybe check that the record exists in the SBS2003 DNS or run the SBS2003 BPA (http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=5334) as I believe it will check for that.

Can I run a .bat, .cmd, or .ps1 on SBS 2011 server startup, without login.... like a service.

I'm running Windows SBS 2011. I need to run a script at server startup, prior to login to any user account (like a service does...). This short script will check the status of another service. Because this
service depends on Exchange & SQL, it sometimes fails to start at reboot if Exchange and or SQL Server haven't finished initializing.
I was also thinking of using sc.exe to change the config of the service in question (adding dependencies), but this is a third-party software from Reuters, and I am somewhat reluctant to edit the configuration of someone else's code (and possibly break something).
This is a production server at a law firm.

What I do in this case (I don't have access to exact script I use) is a similar script scheduled via windows task scheduler every five minutes to check if service running, if not start it but you can have the IF-THEN-ELSE do whatever is required.

Backup never finishes query

I have a small business server 2011. On the console the backup keeps querying and never finishes while the other tabs [Security, Updates and Other Alerts] are Ok.
If I try to backup, using the console it stacks at "Loading data. Please wait ..." and server backup, I get "Reading data;please wait..." message when tries to load the disk etc. In the event log all
I see is event 753 & 754 in application source backup.
What is causing this? How do I resolve this because I can't do backup?

Regarding the current issue, have you tried to repair Windows Server Backup to see if it could resolve the issue?

SBS 2003 R2 premium (with ISA 2004) Exchange ActiveSync not working

A client has a SBS 2003 R2 premium (with ISA 2004) and wants to sync iPhones and Android phones.
When using the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer and selecting 'Exchange ActiveSync' we get 'The test of the FolderSync command failed. Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP
500 response.'
We tried every solution we could find on the internet, without success.
This is what we tried and checked so far:
- fixed IP, DNS, trusted SSL (comodo) seem all OK
- Exchange 2003 SP2 and ISA 2004 SP3 installed.
- RWW and OWA working fine.
- tests with iPhone and Android -> 'cannot get mail. The connection to the server failed'.
- event viewer reveals no further clues.
- ran CEICW several times enabling and disabling most remote options (OWA OMA,...)
- manually checked all vDir settings in IIS6
- tested with different accounts, created a testaccount without any administrative privileges in Active Directory.
- surfing to servername/microsoft-server-activesync from local network and to domain/microsoft-server-ActiveSync from external computer both give: HTTP 501/HTTP 505 error as expected.
- reset the default virtual directories
- on ISA a query by dest port (443) shows traffic reaching the ISA server ending in:

I used to have a SBS2003 on ISA running activesync with no issues so I'll try and give you guidance although it's been a while. I gather this is the first time use of this feature on this SBS? If so make sure you follow the instructions here:

Also make sure you've enabled all mobile services in exchange features and updated your users with the Mobile User profile (I think they need to be members of the Mobile and Remote Web Workplace groups in Manage Users IIRC). Anything in the event logs?
Also, for some phones you need to manually download the certificate if you use a self-signed type.
Note that in the end it may be time to replace this soon to be unsupported ISA with a separate firewall (or a "free" Untangle box) and go to a one NIC solution. It simplifies things and you need to do that anyway to transition off SBS2003 when it is
unsupported next year.

Error while running a query-Input for variable 'Posting Period is invalid

NOTE: This error is only cropping up when I input 12 in the posting period variable selection. If I put in any other value from 1-11 I am not getting any errors. Any ideas why this might be happening?
I am getting the following error when I try and run a query - "Input for variable 'Posting Period (Single entry, mandatory)' is invalid" - On further clicking on this error the message displayed is as follows -
Diagnosis
Variable Posting Period (Single Value Entry, Mandatory) is used as a lower limit (X) and an upper limit () in an interval selection. This limit has the value #.

Procedure
Enter a different value for variable Posting Period (Single Value Entry, Mandatory). If the value of the other limit is determined by another variable, you can change its value also.

Well, if the variable is not used in any interval selection, then I would say "something happened to it".
I would make a copy of the query and run it to check if I get the same problem with period 12.
   -> If not, something is wrong in the original query (you can proceed as below, if changes to original are permitted).
If so, then try removing the variable completely from the query and hardcode restriction to 12.
   -> If problem still persists, I would have to do some thinking.
If problem is gone, then add the variable again. Check.
   -> If problem is back, then the variable "is sick". Only quick thing to do, is to build an identical variable and use that one.
If problem also happens with the new variable, then it's time to share this experience with someone else and consider raising an OSS.

When you create a query , you have to select an infoset. Infoset can be considered as a source from which data is populated in the Query Fields.
Infosets are created from Transaction SQ02.
There can be four methods through which an Infoset can become a source of data:
1. Table join ( By joining two or more tables from Data dictionary)
example: Joining tables PA0001 and PA0006 on Pernr to get a one resultant dataset
2. Direct read of Basis Table ( Like PA0001 as a source for data in Infoset )
3. Logical Database ( A Pre-written Program by SAP that extract data from clusters, tables taking care of authorizations and validity periods)
Example : Logical database PNP, PNPCE (Concurrent Employement),PCH ( LDB for Personnel Development Data)
Custom Logical DBs can be created in T_Code SE-36.
4. Data Retrieval by a Program ( Custom code written by ABAP developers which will collect and process data) . This program has a corresponding Structure in data dictionary and the fields of this structure will be used in query)

Query help on Goods Receipt Query with AP Invoice

Looking for a little help on a query. I would like to list all the goods receipts for a given date range and then display the AP Invoice information (if its been copied to an AP Invoice). Can you check for data in one table or another but not both in one query?

I have a situation where I need to link two tables together but the data may be in another (archive) table or different records are in both but I want the latest record from either table:

If your tables are big it could be necessary to do the filtering (according to your condition) in an early step (the first CTE).

I want the SQl query to get the data for the following comparison : -
Order Created is a Date Column , and i want to find out all the values from (SYSDATE-1) 18:00 hours to SYSDATE 08:00 hours
i.e.
(SYSDATE-1) 18:00:00 < Order.Created < SYSDATE 08:00:00.

I am beginner of PL/SQL and have a problem I couldn’t solve:
Table (op_list):

Item2     -     3     -     out
Item1     -     1     -     dmg
Item3     -     3     -     out
Item1     -     2     -     out
Item2     -     5     -     out
Item2     -     2     -     in
Item3     -     1     -     exp
Would like to get result of query (subtract amount of 'out/dmg/exp' from 'in' ):
Item - Amount left
Item1     -     5
Item2     -     6
Item3 -     3
I wrote code that returns sum of all incoming items and sum all out/dmg/exp items, but couldn’t solve how to subtract one part of querry from another. Or maybe there is a better way. Also worried what happens if there is no 'out/dmg/exp' only 'in'
