Successful after resending 1 by 1?

Hi Experts,
Its a support issue(file to idoc scenario). Many messages are failing in adapter engine daily with fatal error. When I try to resend the message 1 by 1 they are successfully send to receiver, but when i resend by selecting around 50 messages at a time they fail. I have also compared the payload of failed message with the successful message(when the same message is restarted)and found that the payload is exacly the same.
Plz check the below audit log of that failed message followed by success after restarting it.

This has to do with the perfomance of file adapter due to high load of messages. You may opt for EOIO processing for getting higher successful rate.

  • Hard Drive dead? - Failed to Issue COM RESET successfully after 3 attempts.

Hello, i think my 13" 2.53Ghz Unibody (mid2009) MBP's hard drive has had it's last spin. I was using it normally in bootcamp, when windows7 froze, so I rebooted holding the power button....windows wouldnt start any more...ok, so i tried to boot into OSX...stuck at the loading screen with the apple.
Went into verbose mode and it stops at "Failed to issue COM RESET successfully after 3 attempts. Failing..." Google says this has to do with the hard drive.
Did a extensive hardware test (boot + D), all OK, booted from install disk and tried to run disk utility, but it crashed when trying to locate the drives (didn't even list the drive on the right pane). Single User mode wont load either, will give the same COM RESET message. I am literally out of options here.
Is there something i can do to either fix this or verify 100% that my hard disk is truly dead?
I have a backup in timemachine so the data is ok, but the timing couldnt be worse, i have no time to fix this now and needed a working laptop, highly frustrating.
    thanks for any tips

    Welcome to the Apple Forums!
Your HDD is probably dead, since the error doesn't appear to indicate something wrong with the motherboard. Just buy a new 2.5" HDD. I don't know about prices in Brazil, but here in the US, a 1TB drive runs for around US$100. Also, check on eBay for people who upgraded their drive and are selling their Apple drive. Some will ship to Brazil, and you can score those for $50-100.
I hope you backed up your hard drive. If not, you'll have to do the whole reinstallation process.

  • Failed to issue COM RESET successfully after 3 attempts. Failing...

Just in case anyone else has this problem, and wants to claw their eyes out.
I upgraded the Hard Disk in my MacBook Pro about four days ago (the new MBP, summer 2009 with SD card). I installed a Hitachi Travelstar 7K320. It worked awesome for about four days, until I went to run the EFI Firmware Update this morning.
My machine stopped booting. I held Command-V to get the verbose boot output, and eventually got the message: Failed to issue COM RESET successfully after 3 attempts. Failing... - which is where the boot halted.
I removed the Hitachi and restored the stock drive, and the laptop now booted fine. I think it's something Apple will have to look into.

I believe posting relevant facts is productive, & a very relevant fact here is that you are trying to use a drive with an interface (SATA-II) that Apple does not currently support in its laptops.
SATA-I controllers are supposed to be compatible with SATA-II drives, but many of them are not. The problem is how some controllers implement auto negotiation, which is supposed to tell the drive to fall back to SATA-1 speeds with the slower controllers. Some SATA-II drives have a jumper to force the slower speed if auto negotiation doesn't work; some do not.
How this compatibility problem came about, & why the jumper is required, is complicated but the short version is that at least four different specification bodies had some responsibility in producing SATA specifications, & not all controllers were designed to the same standards. This includes not just the controllers Apple has been using but those in many PC's as well.
So I agree that Apple dropped the ball, but not necessarily the way you might think: it should have made it very clear that the firmware update implemented an unsupported interface speed, that it might cause problems, & (most importantly) provided a reversion strategy to the former firmware if it did.
Hopefully, Apple will take another 'swing' at this & either provide that reversion strategy or a new update that at least allows the controller to work more reliably with the faster interface. But until then, unless your drive has the jumper, my previous suggestion is probably the best you can do.
BTW, none of the current mechanical drives available for laptops can saturate a SATA-1 bus except for brief bursts from the drive's buffer, so the real loss in performance of running a single SATA-II drive at SATA-1 speeds is almost negligible, something you might notice in a benchmark but not in real-world use.

  • Need to displaye message "User created successfully" after creating user

    Hi,
I need to display message "User created successfully" after creating a user in OIM i.e after clicking on create user button, thie message should be displayed. Please guide me in this regard.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
In ideal situation when you create an user and user gets created successfully the user profile page displayed.
Now, if you want to show your message on top of that then you need to customize the Create User jsp.
If you want to show new screen with required message then you need to create an custom screen, action class and some modification in struts framework.

  • Trying to set up iCloud on my MacBook Pro, and I get to the point where it tells me to view my email for further instructions to verify acct, but I have no email in my inbox, even after resending multiple times.

Trying to set up iCloud on my MacBook Pro, and I get to the point where it tells me to view my email for further instructions on verification of my account, but there is no such email in my inbox, even after submitting multiple requests to resend the email. Any idea what I can do? Mark

Well, running on a 2006 model.  I did not have a startup disc.  Initially, it booted up on original software in 2006.  Since then, I've upgraded to 10.6 via a box set.  And, since then I think I popped it up to lion.
All I have on a disc is snow leopard.  And, I can't get farther than the setup screen due to hard drive.  I'm taking to a apple authorized repair store right now.  We'll see what they tell me .  I'm just going to weigh the cost of repair vs. buying new.
Another bad, stupid thing is I had no means of backing up my stuff.  So, I might have lost things like music, vids, etc.  we'll see if they can recover.  If the cost is too much for repair I might just forget it and start over with a new system.  Just not sure at this point.

  • Won't restart successfully after Tiger installation --- Help!

    Howdy!
I'm finally updating to OS X from 9.2.2. Everything was humming along smoothly with the installation. My computer restarted after installation, but then hung for quite a while on the grey apple screen with the twirlygig at the bottom of the screen, and then, horror of all horrors, a big circle with a slash replaced the apple... and there it stays. I have to manually reboot the machine to get it to restart to either the old 9.2 partition or from the 10.4.3 installation DVD.
From the Tiger DVD, I've verified and repaired the disk and permission (if didn't come up with any errors, but I repaired it anyway).
I've re-installed the OS with all devices except the keyboard unplugged -- nothing changed.
    Any ideas?
I'm trying to install it onto a 120 GB Maxtor internal drive that has not given me any problems in the past. The hd is partitioned for a 9 and X OS... I also still have the original 20 GB internal hd installed.
Should I try removing RAM that was added years ago? Or installing it onto the original 20 GB hd? Or will I have to try an Erase and Install? Will this option just erase the partition set up for OS X, or will it erase the entire hard disk?
    Thanks for any assistance.

I'm actually unsure if the version of Disk Utility on the Tiger Install disc can do an erase and install on one partition of a partitioned hard drive or if the erase and install wipes the entire HD; I'll have to check into that when I can. There was in the past a known issue where OS X had to be installed on the first partition of a partitioned HD; I believe that's no longer true, but the default at startup for OS X is to look for the OS X System on the first partition (if you hold the 'x' key down at startup to boot into OS X, that's the expected location). If the OS 9 partition is the first partition, that may be throwing the OS X Install restart off. You might check to see if using Startup Manager to select the second partition works. I'd also rename the partition from "OS X" to somethhing else (say "OSTen"), just to be safe.

  • HT1600 Update was not successful after Restart

Cannot update the latest Apple TV 3 software release.  The update appears to download but then never gets to step 2 and shows the error message "The update was not successful."  I have tried this several times with the same result. The Apple TV operates normally, but I would lke to keep the software up to date. Help will be appreciated.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
If you get a message that the device cannot be found, download the following file (as appropriate for your device):
Apple TV Software Restore 5.1.1 (2nd generation)
Apple TV Software Restore 5.1.1 (3rd generation)
Now hold down the option key when selecting restore and choose the downloaded file when prompted.

  • 13 rMBP success after two glitches

I have the newest 13 inch retina MBP with 512 GB drive.  Boot camp works.
    1.  Mac side running with all updates.
    2.  Boot Camp:  blank USB 1 G thumb drive. USB dvd with Windows 8.1 pro OEM.
    3.  Clicked the bottom two options.
    4.  Divided the partition in half.
    5.  It reported that there were 4 partitions and all could no be used (more later)
    6.  The last partition was 256 GB with 256 Free.  I removed that partition.
    7.  Next ....
    The two glitches.
I had a brand new 32  gb USB 3.0 dirve.  Boot camp said there were no usb drives available and it need a FAT drive.  Well,  my thumb drive was readable by the Mac side, but  not by boot camp.  The error message was too cryptic.  The solution was easy, just any old USB 1 gb drive and it worked.
The partition removal was a little scary.  They said that you would lose all information , blah, blah.  I did it anyway and it worked.
    YMMV

  • 3rd attempt was successful after removing 3rd party ram-G5 powermac 2.7 liq

2nd attempt was to place it on another drive, failed, but it ate many gigs of space. I need to rem that somehow.
I did an archive and install on the 3rd and probably last attempt because each try ate space and I was nearly full.

[macsales.com] and [newegg.com] are reliable and offer lifetime guarantees. The fact that the RAM is compatible with other makes doesn't matter, as long as they specify that it's compatible with your model iMac, it will work.

Now the phone puts up a message saying 'Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped' every time afer hitting resend

    Hello red27,
I’m not much of a gamer, but I do know that having a 1-year Xbox Live subscription like yours can be very handy, especially if you want to play online.  It sounds like you got a great deal on it too, so it’s disappointing to hear that your code necessary to redeem it was sent to an incorrect email address.
Whenever we provide a code via email from an in-store purchase, one of two things should happen.
    1)      If a My Best Buy account is attached to the purchase, the email address associated with that account should receive the code within 48 business hours.
    2)      If a My Best Buy account isn’t attached, our register should prompt our associate to ask you for a valid email address. The code should then arrive within the same ETA.
This should ensure that you receive the code to a working email address. I’m not sure what might’ve happened in your case, but I am glad to hear that this was ultimately resolved for you.
If you have any additional questions about this process or your case, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ll be glad to help.
    Enjoy your new console!

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 won't boot after replacing hardware (BSOD 0x0000007B)

My problem in a nutshell: I moved, the PC (without the HD) got totalled, I ordered a new machine with the exact same hardware. Meanwhile, I tried to copy some files to another machine by plugging in the HD externally, but all files in the
/User/Documents/ folder are protected/encrypted (I didn't encrypt them). I fiddled around with the rights and ownership of those files but to no avail, and I was later unable to revert the changes I made. So I guess I should probably not have done that. Anyway,
the new machine eventually arrived, I plugged in the HD, and after loading AtiPcie.sys I was greeted by a BSOD that immediately forced a reboot.
Edit: I now know what the BSOD message is, but if I edit it into this post it breaks the formatting for some reason. See my reply further down in this thread for the error message.
Here's a list of things I did in my vain attempts at solving the problem:
    Safe mode
No effect at all, except that the (probably same) BSOD occurs after loading CLASSPNP.sys instead.
    Various hardware checks including chkdsk
No problems found. To be certain, I plugged in another HD and installed Win2k on it. It boots just fine.
    Recovery console: bootrec /rebuildbcd
The operation "completed successfully" (after renaming the old BCD file) but had no effect.
Recovery console: bootrec /fixmbr, bootrec /fixboot, bootsect /nt60 all
Same as above, except now the list of drivers loaded during startup is replaced by a Windows logo and a loading bar. I preferred the list.
    StartRep.exe
After a while, this gave me an error with the following problem signature (from memory, I didn't think I would be unable to replicate it later):
    Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline
    Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 03: unknown
Problem Signature 04: (sth long, don't remember)
    Problem Signature 05: ExternalMedia
    Problem Signature 06: 13 (I think)
    Problem Signature 07: BadDriver
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 (or sth like this)
    Locale ID: 1033
The only external devices at that point apart from the monitor were a USB keyboard and a USB mouse. Ever since that scan, StartRep.exe immediately completes with no problems found. Also, BSOD on reboot as usual.
    Removed AtiPcie.sys and atikmdag.sys
    Didn't seem to do anything.
I'm out of options now, and I'm reluctant to reinstall Windows since it seems this might permanently make the user documents inaccessible. Any suggestions how I might get that machine running again, preferably without losing those protected documents?

Boot the installation media and if it sees the existing install then you can choose to upgrade.
I do have an option to upgrade, but when I select it I get to a screen with this text:
The computer started using the Windows Installation disc. Remove the Installation disc and restart your computer so that Windows Starts normally. Then, Insert the installation disc and restart the upgrade. (Do not select "Custom (advanced)"
to perform an upgrade. "Custom (advanced)" installs a new copy of windows and deletes your programs and settings.)
Since I can't boot Windows, this isn't an option. The line "Custom (advanced)" installs a new copy of windows and deletes your programs and settings.) is exactly what I want to avoid since it would presumably make the
    protected user files inaccessible.
    Hi
You can check the HDD mode in the BIOS, even if the same hardware, I know the HDD mode can be set on another mode (raid versus jbod). Thus the driver last used will not be the same.
I can find only one such option in the BIOS (Integrated Peripherals -> On-Chip ATA Devices -> RAID Mode) and the current setting is IDE with the alternatives being RAID and AHCI. I don't think that's what you're referring to though.
Other question: Is there any way to find out more about the BSOD from some dumpfiles via the recovery console, or something?

    Hope you have a backup.
Reinstalling OS X should not have any effect on applications or user data.
Erase and Install will wipe out the disk clean.
Safari and Mail should not be deleted.
    Best.
