Suddenly the WRT54G is only working intermittently

I've owned a WRT54G since 2008 and never had a problem, until today. 
I have used it with Comcast and Knololgy cable services without a problem. I recently moved to New York and I have Time Warner Cable.
To get the router to initially work with Time Warner I followed the the setup instructions for cable, cloning my PC's MAC, releasing the IP, renewing it, etc. That wall worked fine and in a matter of minutes the router was working.
Now, however, the router disappears from my computer and iPhone's list of available networks (and thus it drops me), or it asks me for the WEP password and I continuously get "the connection timed out" error message. This will go on for anywhere from 2 minutes to 20, and then the the router pops back up in available networks and everything is ok for a few more hours.
When this happens there is no disruption to internet service -- I can connect my computer to the router via the chord. And when I go the router's setup page to see what's happening, that seems to kick it back into action.
I feel like the issue has to be somethign with Time Warner because I've never had this problem in the past with other cable providers
If it matters, I'm using a Mac with 10.6.8.

As per the scenario that you explained for that you have already updated the firmware as well as reset the router and configured it again....But still it didn't work...
So you can do the following steps as well...
As far as wireless is concern change the wireless channel to 6,9,11...
Under Advanced Wireless Settings change Beacon Interval to 75, Fragmentation Threshold to 2306, RTS Threshold to 2307...

    I think that is happening is that the microphone is on during this recording.  If you play the music through the iPhone speakers, it will record this sound, albeit at very poor quality.  If you say anything (or laugh uproariously as I did while watching the app in action, then that, too, get recorded.
    I am still looking for the solution we all want, which is to save the audio in reasonable quality.
    Anyone out there with some ideas?

  • I recieve my Iphone 4s a few days ago and it appears that the proximity sensor only works intermittantly

    My phone has hung up several times, put my call on hold, open facetime.  It appears the proximity sensor is not working all the time.  I've tested it by holding my finger over the sensor and the screen goes dark, but I've had several problems while holding to my ear on calls.

    Damage is not covered under the warranty unless you purchased AppleCare+ when you purchased your iPhone
    There are independent iPhone repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "iPhone repair".

    I have an MSI Z97 gaming 7 motherboard, the USB ports on the motherboard only work intermittently, MSI support have suggested I upgrade to the latest bios, which I believe is MS7916IMS.172 and they have sent me a link for this, however I want to use the forum flash tool this is what I used to flash from 1.1 to 1.5 and was very easy to do, could someone give me the correct link to this bios that uses the forum flash tool, I have seen this in posts made by Svet and other forum members for other bios

    Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

    Go step by step and test.
    1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
        Highlight  Internal Speakers / Headphones
        Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
    2.Plug in and  remove the headphone.
        If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
        in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
        Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
    3. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
    4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the method for:
        "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
        Audio Devices window
        Side Bar
        Click the Built-in Output.
        Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.

    try changing the router's MTU for wired and change the advanced wireless settings on the router as well.

    Take it to an Apple store. Most likely you will have to get a replacement for which you will be charged the replacement fee.
