Suggestion on webservices

i have gone through all http and soap scenarios.
is it necessary to know java programming while testing soap and http scenarios

>>i want to know how to test a soap scenario with simple example and in simple steps
For sender SOAP scenario,you can use some SOAP test tool,i normally use Altova XML spy,its a free download tool,over there you can specify the SOAP request by giving the WSDL file generated in ID.that test tool will send the request to XI server.
There are some blogs on SDN which tell you how to use Altova XML spy,even the altova website has a flash demo of how to use the tool,its very simple.
Thanx

  • JBoss Portal integrating with SAP R3 RFC

    Hi Experts,
                      I have developed one application by using SAP NetWeaver Webdynpro Java in which i am fetching some values from RFC i developed that application and deployed in SAP Eneterprise portal its working fine.
                     Now i am using JBoss portal instead of SAP Enterprise Portal so is there any way to communicate with RFC's in R3... Is there any way to directly communicate with R3 system by using JBoss portal. Please reply back....
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi ,
       you can publish webservice in PI and give wsdl to share point team if share point is trying to push some data to r3. in r3 side, we have used abap proxy, you can go for rfc or idoc also.
    If r3 is trying to push some data to share point you can ask share point gyus to give u some service and u call the service and push the data.
    Other possible ways are JDBC and FILE.
      If you know the share point database detail you candirectly poll it from ther, here we have also option to read directly from sharepoint sql database server. obnly thing is u need to install respective JDBC driver in PI.
    Also you can ask the share point team to extract the content and place as a file in some ftp server.
    what i will suggest is webservice base communication only.
    If u need more clarification,  u can give the requirement like from whhere to where u r tring to push data etc.

  • Example of Xlet ( java TV )

    Somebody have one example of Xlet ( java tv ). Nothing very difficult, but if this is difficult, it`s ok.
    Thanks,
    Gpleite

    Wow, thanks for the insight.
    Going with jCom seemed to be one of the least expensive routes to take to get
    to Navision.
    What I need to do is get a J2EE application to communicate with Navision. Using
    Navision's way to do this, and buying the required software from Microsoft to
    support it, would run anywhere from $30K to $70K.
    My next option would be to go with something like FioranoMQ that will allow communication
    between JMS and MSMQ. The software (FioranoMQ) is around $4,500. This is probably
    the preferred route I suppose if jCom is really that tough to work with.
    "Edward Foley" <[email protected]> wrote:
    Two things:
    First, you can have 2-way communication with JCOM. I just
    finished a project in which we did this using WL 6.1 and JCOM.
    Second, use something other than JCOM! May I suggest a webservices
    interface between WL and your Windows application. I admit that
    JCOM does work but getting it to work is akin to having dental
    work. Also, it is not the where inter-application communication
    seems to be going. Why not just use Webservices to communicate
    between the 2 heterogenous applications. This is certainly what
    we would have done had webservices been more mature when the
    application architecture was being done. As it was, we almost
    ripped out the JCOM piece and replaced it webservices about a
    month prior to going into production because of headaches we
    were having with JCOM.
    I am interested in jCom for communication from Java to COM objects.All
    of the examples I have seen SEEMS to indicate that it is a one way
    communication process. In short, you can get information from an EJB
    from a COM object, but you can't get information from a COM objectfrom
    an EJB (or any other Java object).
    So, is it one-way only? If not, can someone provide me a link to an
    example doing this?
    Thanks.

  • Files or Webservices.. Suggestions on Design Decision.

    Hi All,
    I'm working on retail company (got around 2000 stores), so 2000 stores will be sending the sales info to PI through webservices (SOAP adapter). Around 70,000 messages will be receiving everyday through webservices. All the messages are processed through Sync/Async bridge (Reponse will be send from PI back to store ).
    Day by day, the number of stores are increasing, we are just concern wheather it will be good idea to continue the webservice method or pick the files through file adpter from Stores application server ?
    If we go for file adapter.. then it will be asynchronous method. If we stick to webservice, it will be synchoronous method.
    I'm not sure will it be any difference in terms of performance from PI perspective if we go through file adapter instead of SOAP ?
    Please suggest your thoughts on this? Better to stick to webservice method (Synchrous) or go to file adapter method (Aysnchronous).
    Thanks
    Deepthi.

    Hi Krish,
    ////  Performance issues might even occur when you start using file adapter
    and parallely the customers do grow.  ////
    Can you please elaborate on this. I thought performance will reduce a lot if I go for Asynchronous FTP than synchronous soap scenario.
    I think One more problem we are facing with webservice is, there were lot of logs holding in adapter engine for synchronous calls (Failed and successful calls). So, when java garbage collector runs, it will take lot of time and system will become slow during this time.
    The only advantage im seeing with webmethods is a proper handshake will take place with synchronous calls.
    Please correct me if i'm wrong.
    Thanks

  • Webservice scenario. pls suggest

    Hi All,
    Please let me know what it means when we say call Webeservice from Java or SAP using Service bus.
    It will come under which given below scenario  or this wil be some other scenario
    When PI 7.1 is consumer of Webservice
    Scenario -  we import wsdl as external defination and use Soap Receiver adapter
    When PI 7.1 is provider of Webservice
    Scenario -  For Outbound Interface Sender Aggrement we take Endpoint WSDL and login to Service Registry and publish that
    Endpoint WSDL and send that Endpoint WSDL to 3rd party and use Soap Sender adapter
    Thanks

    in this case, when ever a system is calling a webservice and that system is not PI, then ideally it will be PI who is hosting that webservice

  • Webservice to XI. Pls suggest urgent

    Hi,
    At source system I have webservice. I need to communicate to XI.
    I have imported that wsdl to XI as External Def and made Soap Sender Adapter and all XI part.
    Now my question is how to trigger from source system webservice to XI and how to make webservice async.
    Thanks

  • Webservices with php any suggestions?

    Hi I have a fair bit set up but wondering if anybody has set
    up using webservices with a php proxy or NUSOAP?
    It would be great to hear any ideas.
    Thanks

    By default the camera will use all 9 AF points, but you can tell it use a specific single point.
    If the camera is in the default (all 9 AF points active) mode, then it can't focus on all subjects at different distances simultaneously -- it has to choose a subject.  The camera is programmed to always choose the subject which can be focused at the NEAREST focusing distance.
    Much of the time, this would be exactly what the typical photographer wants.  But if you have anything nearer to the camera than your intended subject then it will tend to focus on that distracting element rather than your intended subject.
    The fix is to use single AF-point mode as this puts you in control of focus.

  • Error while invoking a webservice using Axis deployed in  tomacat from Bpel

    Hi,
    I am trying to invoke a Axis webservice(from Java class to WSDL- bottom up java bean webservice approach) developed in Exclipse IDE, deployed in Tomcat.
    When i am trying to invoke the service, from Bpel from Jdeveloper it is throwing error as such :
    Invoke_1 (faulted)
    [2009/05/22 14:32:18] Faulted while invoking operation "storeLoanData" on provider "LoanDataPersist".less

    </part>
    </remoteFault>
    </fault>
    </messages>
    I may add that, the WSDL generated is using "soap:enc:array ", rpc style.
    Can anyone tell me the reason and suggest .

    Hi Marc,
    Thanks for the guidancer. But sir, i am unable to detect at which place i have to do the required changes.I found p_request as a parameter in the method only in the interface only.
    As bcos ultimately , i am generating the tomcat /axis web service (WSDL) from the java class, which is using 2 Request and response java bean, in which they are doing someing like this:
    private static org.apache.axis.description.TypeDesc typeDesc =
    new org.apache.axis.description.TypeDesc(LoanDataPersistRequest.class, true);
    static {
    typeDesc.setXmlType(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://dtos.demo.com", "LoanDataPersistRequest"));
    org.apache.axis.description.ElementDesc elemField = new org.apache.axis.description.ElementDesc();
    elemField.setFieldName("customerName");
    elemField.setXmlName(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "customerName"));
    elemField.setXmlType(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "string"));
    elemField.setNillable(true);
    etc etc...................}
    And second thing is when the WSDL is generated, from that the stubs and skeletons is generated to test the service.
    There in the Stub i found out "p_request" in this place:
    private static void _initOperationDesc1(){
    org.apache.axis.description.OperationDesc oper;
    org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc param;
    oper = new org.apache.axis.description.OperationDesc();
    oper.setName("storeLoanData");
    param = new org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc(*new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "p_request")*, org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc.IN, new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://dtos.demo.com", "LoanDataPersistRequest"), com.demo.dtos.LoanDataPersistRequest.class, false, false);
    oper.addParameter(param);
    oper.setReturnType(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://dtos.demo.com", "LoanDataPersistResponse"));
    oper.setReturnClass(com.demo.dtos.LoanDataPersistResponse.class);
    oper.setReturnQName(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "storeLoanDataReturn"));
    oper.setStyle(org.apache.axis.constants.Style.RPC);
    oper.setUse(org.apache.axis.constants.Use.ENCODED);
    _operations[0] = oper;
    And in skeleton :
    static {
    org.apache.axis.description.OperationDesc _oper;
    org.apache.axis.description.FaultDesc _fault;
    org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc [] _params;
    _params = new org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc [] {
    new org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc(*new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "p_request")*, org.apache.axis.description.ParameterDesc.IN, new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://dtos.demo.com", "LoanDataPersistRequest"), com.demo.dtos.LoanDataPersistRequest.class, false, false),
    oper = new org.apache.axis.description.OperationDesc("storeLoanData", params, new javax.xml.namespace.QName("", "storeLoanDataReturn"));
    _oper.setReturnType(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://dtos.demo.com", "LoanDataPersistResponse"));
    _oper.setElementQName(new javax.xml.namespace.QName("urn:com.demo.service", "storeLoanData"));
    _oper.setSoapAction("");
    myOperationsList.add(oper);
    if (_myOperations.get("storeLoanData") == null) {
    _myOperations.put("storeLoanData", new java.util.ArrayList());
    ((java.util.List)_myOperations.get("storeLoanData")).add(_oper);
    PLease suggest if i make some changes in stub and skeleton how it would reflect the WSDL... or else please suggest where shud i do the required changes.

  • HP webservices tab not available when using HP Jetdirect 2700w wireless print server

    I recently bought HP Laserjet Enterprise 500 m551 dn color laser printer with HP jetdirect 2700w wireless print server ( one day old at this time).
    I was able to configure the device and enable/ use eprint services using the embedded server with a wired connection.
    However when I attach a the mentioned wireless print server, the "Webservices" tab disappears from the configuration website, the printer reports that the eprint services are not enabled and ofcourse hp eprint or google cloud print do not work. The printer appears offline at eprintcenter. Everything else works fine.
    On the product website for the wireless server, it clearly states that this is compatible with eprint services.
    What am I doing wrong.

    This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • Not able to get the data from synchronous Webservice To BPEL process

    Hi All,
    My requirement is : Third party has some webservice.They are pushing data to that Webservice(Wsdl).
    Third part WSDL example : http://ipaddress:port/name/Service.svc?wsdl ( This is just example format of their WSDL)
    After that I need to get that data into my BPEL process and update my system.
    When I built My Snchronous BPEL process I imported third party WSDL(http://ipaddress:port/name/Service.svc?wsdl) through 'import WSDL' in dialog.After that I automatically got the (request and response schema elements) parameters from that WSDL.I gave input and output of the BPEL process from those elements.
    I pasted that third party URL iin SOAPUI and I got their operations and schemas.Based on that I had choosen the elements for 'input' and 'output' of the BPEL processes.I am also getting the schema structures in 'Assign' or 'Transform' activity.
    I built the whole process.
    I have the Process.
    Now Client is pushing data to their WSDL(http://ipaddress:port/name/Service.svc?wsdl) as it is their data pushing interface.But that data is not coming to my BPEL process and instance is not being created in EM console.
    As I have imported their WSDL into my BPEL process,I need to get the data.But I am not getting the data.
    Is there any problem in MY BPEL process?
    (or)
    DO I need to use 'Webservice' Adapter in 'Exposed Services' Swimlane in Composite Editor to have the third party URL, so that they Can push the data to that WSDL in turn that data comes into my BPEL process?
    Can anybody help me this case?
    once again my requirement is :
    Client pushes the data through their WSDL url -----> I need to get that data into MY BPEL process --> I have my own WSDl to take that details into my system.

    I will explain the requirement in small paragraph:
    There are two applications.One is our application(X) and another one is third party application(Y).
    I need to update in my application(X) based on data coming from application(Y).
    I am using SOA as a middle tier to have communication between Y and X.
    (Ex: if they send some info like event type 'event1' from Y ,I need to update that 'event1' data in my X application)
    The work at third party application is :
    According their info,They will push data from their end to their WSDL( http://ipaddress:port/name/Service.svc?wsdl ).
    They are telling they can only send the data to their WSDL( http://ipaddress:port/name/Service.svc?wsdl ).
    They will not consume our BPEL process(I think they might be wrong at this point of time).They have one WSDL to send or push the data from their end.
    The work at from our side(SOA & X application)
    From that point ,our BPEL process has to receive that data and update that data into my application(X).
    I hope You understand my requirement.
    Can you guide me through how to achieve this task as they are telling they have to use their WSDL to push the data?
    (or)
    Do I need to take 'Webservice' adapter into Exposed Services Swimlane in Jdeveloper to have their webservice(third party WSDL),If it is So Can you tell me the details how to take 'input' and 'output' for BPEL process?
    (or)
    Can YOu suggest me to talk to them to consume my BPEL process directly?
    Thanks

  • Using SOAP to access middleware webservice

    URL SOAPUrl = new URL(url);
              SOAPConnection con = SOAPConnectionFactory.newInstance().createConnection();
              ByteArrayInputStream stream = new ByteArrayInputStream(xml.getBytes());
              SOAPMessage message = MessageFactory.newInstance().createMessage(null,stream);
              SOAPMessage reply = con.call(message,SOAPUrl);I am using the above mentioned code to send a SOAP message object to a middleware webservice.
    But im getting the following exception:
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: org.xml.sax.SAXException: WSWS3357E: Error: operation description is missing parameter description.
         at com.ibm.ws.webservices.engine.soap.SOAPConnectionImpl.call(SOAPConnectionImpl.java:115)Could anyone suggest me the reason for this and an apt solution?

    Hi Paul
    I have access to all the documents (JavaScript via Mozilla, Adobe JavaScript API, XFA API etc etc) but none are specific enough to cater for this issue.  I will work this out before too long but it would be very useful if someone who had done this already could shortcut my journey!
    Thanks

  • Need Urgent Solution for error in presence webservice

    Hi Folks, I am new to ocsg , i got stuck with a serious problem
    I am working with presence web service
    As from documentation , i understood that watcher should subscribe with attrbiutes which he wants to look up for presence user's information , so i tried to give subscribe information, in that tab, i gave sip uri as tel:1234
    and click on start button .Initially i got error that No plug in created
    Then i tried to create the plug in from pluginmanager for presence webservice , but it is not allowing to create saying that "you cannot create plug for this service ( presence web service)"
    then I started using the already existing
    presenceservice = Plugin_px21_presence_sip and existing
    ================
    presence instance = Plugin_px21_presence_sip#wlng_nt_presence_px21#4.1
    then again i got error while I click on start button , saying that No Route Exists
    then I added a route by taking Plugin_px21_presence_sip as input value and values given as tel:^.*
    and I also set setrouteconfig as below values
    ================
    Plugin_px21_presence_sip
    ================
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <route xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="route.xsd">
    <destAddress defaultResult="true">tel:^.*</destAddress>
    </route>
    =================
    it has accepted . then I again started the subscribe presence by clicking on start button .

    Hi, if this is urgent I would suggest logging the issue on My Oracle Support in the Communications Service Delivery Community where Oracle and customer/partner/developer experts will advise whether this is a configuration issue or a bug that requires an SR to deliver a fix.

  • How can I send XML to a servlet without a WebService?

    I have created some XML on my Flex app now I want to send it
    back to the Servlet, any suggestions on how to do this?
    I don't have a web service setup, so I just need to do this
    without a webservice.
    I appreciate an help!!!!

    Hi,
    You can use HTTPService or RemoteObject.
    If you are using HTTPService, then it is very similar to Form
    post from a HTML page. HTTPService will allow you to select the
    method (POST/GET) in which you want to send the data to the server.
    You can add parameters with the data and the send the request to
    the server. On the server side, you can either use JSP/Servlet/ASP
    or any other server side scripting technology and access the
    parameters using request.getParameter("<parameter name>").
    Please find more details on how to pass parameters at the URL
    below.
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/data_access_5.html#200238
    If you are using RemoteObject, then you need to have
    BlazeDS/LCDS on the server which will allow you to invoke methods
    in any Java class. When invoking any method you can pass arguments
    as you were invoking that method from another Java class. Please
    find more details on how to use RemoteObject at the URL below.
