Summary - please help me!

Please help me.
I am designing a project cost report in Crystal Report. the following details will be on my report.
item Code, Description, Projected Cost, Total Purchase, Left to complete.
Let me give you brief detail about my tables. I am taking item code and description from tabel1, projected cost from Table2 (projected cost is a budget value for each item), total purchase from table3 and left to complete (need to be calculated projected cost - total purchase).
I am grouping on based on item code, so I can get a summary report. What's happening here, summary is correct but sum of projected cost is wrong.
I will tell you why projected cost sum is wrong. Let's say item A has projected cost $10,000 and we have 5 purchases for this item ($1000$2000$2000$1500$1500 = total purchase $8000). Now projected cost will be multiply by 5 (no. of purchases) and sum will be $50,000 instead of $10,000.
Please tell me how to fix this problem.

Your are correct, $50,000 project cost is the sum but it is wronge. I have got hundred of items and each item will have only one projected cost and could have hundred of purchases against each item.

I put total field in group 3 footer by using sum fuction.
Total of projected cost should be $60,000 not $120,000.00
Why showing $120,000.00 because A1001 got two purchase ($1,000$1,000), A1002 got two purchase ($2,500.00$2,500.00) and A1003 got two purchases ($5,000.00 + $2,000.00).
