Supported process?

Hi, I need some help to configure a MM process.
we have 3 plants; 11, 12, 13
Plant 11 purchase screws for a subcontractor to build hardware bags (no physical  inventory of screw in plant 11 is required),
The subcontracting process for the bags is fine for us. But for the screw management at the subcontractor location is a little bit harder...
the subcontractor receive the screw orders from the vendor (third party PO).  All the inventory of screw is stored at the subcontractor's location.  To see the subcontractor's  inventory of screws, we use MRP areas.
Our subcontractor carry our inventory of screw for free, do quality mngmt, cycle counting etc...
Plant 12 and 13 also use the same screw for other usages.  We want them to use the  screws from the subcontractor inventory(third party STO ???)  The subcontractor would directly ship to the plant 12 for free.
Is there a functionality that I can use to simplify my transactions?
Creating a plant for my subcontractors is it the only solution?
We also need to transfer the screw from this subcontractor to another...
Our subcontractor works similar to a DC...
Please let me know your ideas....
Best regards!
Luc Néron

Hi Neron,
I think since the number of tansactions for screws is huge ,then it would be
better to define the subcontractor  as a plant .Since you also mentioned transfer
also will happen from this sub contarctor. Hope you take the material into stock in
plant 11.??

  • Implementation process and Support Process diagrams

    Hi Guys
I need the implementation and support process / Business Flow, flowcharts etc. i think i have confused you guys. what i am looking for is something like the activities divided into different sections like Client, onsite, offshore.
Please note that i am not looking for ASAP.
i am looking for activities done by the clients, onsite team and the ofshore team.
    I am looking for diagrams.
    Thanks in advance.
    D

    This is the land scape.
Generally we have 3 servers 1) Development server
    2) Quality server
    3) Production server.
Along with these servers we have Sand box in our place for trail purpose, i.e., before going to develop or testing we just develop here in our sand box and check our requirements.
(Sand box is also called as Golden data box).
    ASAP METHODOLOGY:
    1)Project Preparation,
    2) Blue print phase,
    3) Realization phase,
    4) Testing phase,
    5) Go live phase.
    Project Preparation:
Here we do discussions about our project with client…. i.e deciding that whether we go for B.W or not, that will help us or not, required it or not.
Here we do making land scape, pricing or project, bidding …. Like intial things. And we do time estimation i.e for implementation generally we take 90 days.
    Main things to do…
    1. Discussions with client providing the importance of SAP BW
    2. why BW? Here we have convince the client what are the advantages if we implement BW
    advantages:
    A) End to End solution
In R/3 we give authorization to particular level of REPORT.
In BW we give authorization to particular level of DATA
Eg: if we have 2 plants in R/3. if 2 users use same report. So that they may change or alter the report according to their requirement where as in BW we can give authorization to particular level of data to that particular plant accordingly where as it is not possible in others.
    B) Detail level of information in R/3.
Aggregate level of information in BW
    C) E.R model in R/3. where as in BW it is Multi Dimensional.
    3) ROI Return on Investment
    4) Budget discussions.
    BLUE PRINT PHASE:
    Here we do ..
    I. Gathering user requirements.
II. Form some documents like PI Documentation Tree.
    PI measure Glossory.
III. preparing functional specs like Data Flow Diagram.
    Graphical StarSchema views
    ODS object Designs
IV. Approval meeting: Getting approval for functional specs
    V. Kick of meeting : this is the final meeting with client about specs.
That will be at the end of work.
    REALIZATION PHASE:
    Here we do ..
    I. we prepare technical specs based on functional specs
II. Getting approval for Technical specs.
III. Designing the objects basing on technical specs. (In development server).
IV. UNIT TESTING (i.e we do general testing like the value in R/3 side is coming to BW side is same or not …etc. we use RSA3 Extract checker to check value bet. R/3 and cube)
    V. Develop unit test case document.
VI. All developed unit test case documents will be send to client for approval
VII. And finally transporting all the objects to quality box
    TESTING PHASE:
    Here we do ..
    1. Integration Testing: It takes nearly 6 months to 1 yr. depends on project
    2. U A T Testing : User Acceptance Test
    3. Approval
    GO LIVE PHASE:
all objects will be transport to QUALITY to PRODUCTION BOX.
in R/3 system only Data sources will be transported from QUALITY to PRODUCTION
Generally all the data sources will not go live at same time. i.e., they scheduled like SD data sources in first week, MM data sources in next week, PP in next week like that depends on requirement.
If required we do Adhoc reports that means we have to generate reports basing on available data for immediate requirements.
In sand box we do testing ourselves like what will happen when we do change or add or alter the existing objects or any thing in current position. It is just like test box for our purpose only.
    SAP BW CONSULTANT
In our project we have ED1 (Enterprise Development) is the developer system and 120 is the client. We have one development system, quality system and integrated planning system.
We are 3 members here in offshore and 2 members in onsite. Onsite TL do take care of preparing technical specs. We joined in the project at realization stage. (We have 5 phases in project. 1. Project preparation 2. Blue print 3. Realization 4. Testing 5. Production)Gap analysis conducted by Onsite Team. They prepare spec and send to us.
Here in offshore iam team member. As a team member my responsibility in this implementation project is installing objects from the business content. Apart from this every Tuesday we have conference call with onsite team. In conference call we discuss what the issues we faced till now are. What is the progress in the project? What will be the next week delivery? What about the previous issues? What are the new changes if any? After conference call completion I have to do Minutes draft of the call. I have to write a mail to onsite TL in which I mention the issues we discussed and To Do list from both sides.
We receive technical specs from our TL. It is completely regarding the installation of objects from business content and generating regular reports.
Finding out the cube (Ex: 0SD_C01), which we need to install, and installing the cube from BC with both data flow inwards and afterwards. This is done only once we confirmed from simulation installation so that no errors will occur while installing.
Once the cube is installed we prepare one more cube (name starts with z like ZC001), which is the copy of the same cube, which is installed just now (intention is not to disturb the BC cube).
After preparing the cube finding out the dataflow from the pictorial view in technical spec. In our spec data flows from Info Source to ODS and then into Cube to Multi Provider. Now prepare the ODS which contains the same characteristics and key figures as cube. Here we add two extra fields in key fields column of ODS that ZDATE & ZTIME. Date and time are populated with formulae. In Date column we define formulae SYS-DATUM and for time SYS-TIMLO.
Creating update rules for ODS we define that ODS gets data from info source as per spec.
No. of update rules depends on no. of info sources from which ODS gets data.
After ODS create update rules for cube saying that cube get data from ODS.
Next create multi provider as per spec. Even though we have only one cube we created multi provider because we want to extend it in future. Multi provider contains all the characteristics and key figures of cube for the time being. This is all as per our spec.
Assigning data source to Info source and activating Transfer rules.
Next creating Info Packages for full, init and delta loads.
Next creating process chains. To create PC we follow this procedure:
Select the cube to which data must be loaded. Go to Context menu (right click) of the cube . Select Info Source overview. It will show what data is flowing into the cube and from which info source.
Check out whether all the info sources are assigned with data sources if not assign it. Check out whether all info packages are created or nor if not create it.
Start creating process chains. In our process chain we have Meta chains (a chain in another chain). We have 4 process chains. One for master data (attribute) another for text and one for hierarchy and another for transaction data.
In Master data PC collect all the info packages for master data loading and at the end add attribute change run, this chain will run daily. (0MATERIAL, 0SALESORG)
In Text PC collect all the info packages for text one by one. This will run daily. (0MATERIAL, 0SALESORG, 0DIVISION, 0VERSION, 0VTYPE)
In Hierarchy PC collect the info packages for hierarchies. This will run daily. (0MATERIAL).
In Transaction data collect all the info packages with full load (temporary only). This also runs daily. (2LIS_01_S001)

  • Supporting process

    hi
plz tell me process of supporting, what will we do in supporting,
what is the role &responsible in the supporting.
and supporting heirarchy means top to bottom  flow.
what is user documentation in supporting
    thank u
    with regards
    nagesh

    Hi Nag,
After going live, day to day business transaction are happening some problems come across. To solve these problems there will be a support team. The hierarchy will be depends on the company. In some companies 3 levels in some 2 levels of support team.
If you take level 2-support hierarchy…
Level 1 will deal with when a call comes from end user they try to solve it. These people are not expert in SAP. If they are not able to solve they raise call or ticket and assign to responsible module person.
Level 2: these people are experts in SAP who does configuration and all.
When a call comes if it a problem not new requirement will solve short of time.
New requirement then they create functional spec and configure it. But this has to approved by the concerned person.
In supporting documents level 2 consultants create which are use full to end user or level one people to help them solving and working well. If you are getting same problems frequently then they create document to solve themselves to know regarding that problem.
I will send some documents with support hierarchy to day evening may be helpful to you.

    arvey.

  • BPM 11g support process archive

    Hi,
Is BPM 11g suppots process archive?
Can anyone help me on that?
    Regards,
    Anandh P

    Hi Raj
    1. Terminate means you want to End that Process no matter where it is at any instance of time. Say if I have BPM Process with 10 SwimLanes it can be at any of the Lanes with any User. I am taking simple Example with Human Tasks, but you can apply for other component like Timer servces etc.
    2. I hope you are aware of 2 things specially for Human Tasks: Action named "Withdraw" and a role named "Process Owner". For any human task, under Actions menu you should See a Withdraw option. You can code your application to capture this output using XOR gateway and if outcome is "WITHDRAW" directly end the process and go to End Node. If you have many places like this, there is easy way instead of running wires eveywhere. Create a simple throw even that goes to End Node. And after each human task check outcome if Withdraw, that that error, which will end the process. I hope you got the point.
    b) The reason I mentioned Process Owner is, generally I do NOT give Withdraw control to each User who can work on any Task. If accidentally that User do this action, thats it. The process ENDS and you can never retriive it back. So under .TASK file, I preven Withdraw action to Asssignee and Instead give this action only to OWNER (Process Owner). Process owner is like admin who can pretty much see any tasks and I would give him all the permissions like these Withdraw, Reassing, Suspend etc etc. This gives more controlled power to your application. Anyhow, in bpm workspace, login as process owner and search for any Task aged for long time and jus Withdraw it.
You can do all the above using APIs also as far as you have Withdraw action going to the End Node.
If your requirement is something else, ignore above notes. But still you can think along the above lines, if all you want is to Kill a Running Process anytime.
    Thanks

  • Is the only way to get your money back for unauthorised purchases to go thru the lengthy email customer support process?

I want my money back and I want it now. Why doesn't apple have a phone number for urgent account problems? i got an overdrawn fee from my bank, I checked the transactions and found apple iTunes charged me 11 times in one day with the total amount being over $170.00!!!!! The only purchases I made that day were a few $1.29 inapp purchases. How do I get my money back??? And why don't they have a phone number you can contact. This is an urgent problem because not only have they charged me over $170 & Ive got a $30 overdrawn fee there are MORE transactions from apple on my bank account that are "pending". These transactions are of a similar amount & they are not for anything I have purchased! i have been forced to cancel my credit card to stop apple from doing anymore but I want my money back!

Thanks but unfortunately I don't have that option (I'm im Australia) so this will be day 8 that apple have my money without authorisation. The amount has now increased due to the transactions that were pending prior to me cancelling my credit card. The total is now over $300 including the overdrawn fee. It is beyond comprehension that a company the size of apple doesn't have a *real* customer service dept that handle these types of *real* problems immediately via phone contact but I guess that's the point isn't it? If we want to use the apps they provide thru their services and devices we have no choice but to put up with their primitive third world service. I sent them an email via the link you provided 4 days ago. There is no excuse for me to be STILL waiting for this problem to be resolved - none whatsoever, it is disgusting. Thanks for responding I had a feeling that was the only way to get this resolved, only it is so unbelievable I had to make sure.

  • Support process

one monthly job get abend showing this error
Reference chain VBBK 0060770947 Z007 EN interrupted
can any buddy give me idea how to approach

    Hi ,
I don' t know it would help but in your main program i think there is a Read_Text function which cannot read the Sales Document number "0060770947"  .
You can look to table TTXIT for the  field tdid as  'Z007'.
    Hope this helps.

  • Does PSE 10 support and is it compatible with Adobe Camera Raw Process 2012?

I recently upgraded to Photoshop CS6 but am still using Photoshop Elements 8 Organizer to manage my collection.  It appears that the new Process 2012 that is available with the Camera Raw processor is not supported by PSE 8 and in fact PSE 8 changes (as best it can) the adjustments back to Process 2010 if I add a caption to a photo in the Organizer.  This also happens if I write properties and tags to to the image file.  Does PSE 10 support Process 2012?

Bill Junk -- your entire set of comments seems to be way off topic, but I'll address them anyway. If you want to continue this discussion about LR, you should really start a new thread (and probably in the LR forum)
Has Lightroom 4 made any fundamental changes in the way they let you organize, tag, and manage files in your collection?
There are minor changes to the Library Module in LR4, but nothing major.
My complaint about LR 3 is that it seems to flatten my image tagging structure when I import catalog data from PSE.
This would happen because you are doing it wrong. If you upgrade the PSE catalog to a LR catalog, your tag structure/hierarchy remains intact.
I have a very nice and organized file structure for maintaining my collection and don't like relying on a database to keep track of everything.
But the tags in PSE are in a database. Your folder hierarchy is really a database in your operating system.
If the Lightroom DB every goes belly up I suspect that years of adding entries would be lost.
There are so many misconceptions about LR. I have no idea how this gets started, but this isn't true. There are simple ways to prevent this from happening.
Suppose your Windows (or Mac) folders (which are a really a database in your operating system) get corrupted. Suppose your hard disk fails. Then what would you do?
The way I'm currently organized and having key information stored in the image files I can usually find what I want quickly using something as simple as Windows Explorer.
    Lightroom has this capability too.

  • How to call German Support from Asia to reset security question?

    Dear Apple Support,
my dealer for my very first MAC computer  tried to install software and update OS to prepare notebook for "reday to use"status.
It turned out that Apple has no service access to allow dealer to install and register software on customer behalf.
So I needed to give him full access to my account.
Since I'm new in this Apple things I was scared because with other OS I never ever had that requierement.
But I already confirmed my MAC order so I could not cancle and step away from Apple.
So I tried to process this request as save as possible. I removed all credit from account and gave a temporary password.
I also tried to set security question to temporary values for my dealers access.
But here something went wrong. So I ended up with obiviously unknow security question answers what blocks the access.
The instructions on the screen and some screenshots in the change settings iinstruction show different (outdated) forms.
Also the alternative approach with alternative email was not working.
Why is it not possibel to forward user request for this reset request automatically to relevant support?
I found also that the German support can't be called from abroad.
Why is this not mentioned in list of international phone numbers?
For some areas there is such a note but not for the German number!
Finally I raised a case request to call back under my number, but Apple does not allow to change the country code.
Because that way I had no chance,  I ask my dealer to assist and he called Apple support in Germany, but as they found out that he was acting on my behalf they kicked him out too times without further help.
That was the moment I really regret that I spend now so much money for buying an Apple thing.
I immediately cancle the Apple Care policy. Why should I pay for somthing if not even basic support is reliable.
Apples does really good marketing, but in reality on second view when in real touch with Apple service it looks very poor.
From user interface over usability of support process and dealer service all is so weak.
Since Apple support kicked out the dealer,  I called in next attempt  a German person to relay my telephone request while being on Skype session.
But what we there experienced was far more unfriendly.
We picked up the call after 2-3 ring  and a computer voice wellcomed us and told us that Apple was not able to reach us.
Furthermore they announced to call agian 10minutes later (10:21am MET +10min) we waited in Skype session over half an hour but no call back.
I tried than to request again a call with clear indication that they pleas have to use my abroad number.
But this results  in an email answer from Apple support that they can't reach me although the number they confirmed to are correct!
My umber is also given in my data records in Apple-ID. So why is Apple support not able to escalate to second support level if something goes obviously goes wrong?
May be too much automated system administration?
After 1,5 days and many many emails, calls and endless frustration on my site and on authorized dealer side I need to escalate my simple request now over all channels I can find within the Apple universum.
ontact details are all known to you and many request emails in your inbox refer to this case. My dealer contacts I already forwarded to Apple support email.
Hey guys, I need just to get my security questions reseted! Can anybody assist please?
Please inform we when done or call me under my:
    1. day number
    2. evening number
    3. Mobile number.
    4. Apple-ID email
    5. ooptional email
    6. or contact my relay in Germany under the number I send to you.
    PPLLLEEAASSEEEEE!

Thanks roaminggnome for reminding me on this reference,
that was one of the confusing webpages I found for this problem while using a simple search :-)
But in my case the screen looked different and the procdure even more different than described in this easy to search posting.
But don't worry Appel support also approached it in same way.
The solution for this problem was much different.
The scaring story with all this is that I had to give full account access and security question answers to a third party person helping as a relay to comunicate to Apple support.
A simple search in free forums showed me that I'm not the only one having trouble with this Apple security strategy.
    Many thanks again!

  • Re: What is a Business Process Expert?

    Hello all,
Maybe we should open the discussion a bit beyond a "Human Centric" BPX. The main theme after all IS "The Business Process". There are hundreds, possibly thousands of Business Processes depending upon whether you categorize as micro or macro processes. Any one of these either on a micro/macro level function with or without human beings and may utilize machines that assist or automate value added activities/processes which produce higher value service or products in the age old scenario [input > process > useful output & waste output].
When we talk about Expert or Expertise, we are talking about precise know-how, and narrow domain knowledge wether depth or breadth knowledge.
Referring back to a post by Luis Rincones, regarding ideas and concepts leading to BPX, automation of the business process should be the KEY focus of a BP engineer. Back in the late 80's early 90's, we referred to these BP engrs. as "Knowledge Engineers" and their principal goals were to interview "Experts" in order to extract expert knowledge (sometimes 20+ years of experience) and understand not only the flow of the process, but more importantly the RULES which govern all exceptions and variations encountered within the process, as well as "rules of thumb" in case the RULES don't apply.
This is something which if we are truly to orient our Enterprise SOA architecture towards the goals of BPX mentioned above, will require a common "Rule Based Engine", which lives across all domains of knowledge, Objects, & environments, and works together with the design & development environment for the xAPP (I like to refer to them as "Expert Applications") and thereby enable not only the integration and homogenization of input data (via the technology stack), but also integrate the application of logic via a common rule based engine. In this way, E-SOA can also be enabled on the "useful" outbound process enabling services (actions) which mediate/manage/automate the process back to prescribed operating parameters.
Of course, people can not be eliminated from the process. Lexus factory in Korea back in 2002 operated with approx. 60 or so people, 150 robots, and produced >300 units per day. People were mostly involved in QA and deviation functions.
Automating the Business Process optimizes the output:input ratio and should minimize the waste:useful output ratio. By doing so, the ROI, ROA, and operating margins are maximized and competitive advantage gains against other not so able competitors.
Any one else has a few words on this?

You raise a very important and interesting question regarding whether there is any framework for narrowing down the domain of a Business Process Expert.
There are many frameworks out there:
    http://www.bpmg.org/8omega.php
    http://www.prosci.com/tutorial-design-mod1.htm
    http://www.intel.com/technology/itj/2004/volume08issue04/art11_collaboration/p01_abstract.htm
From my experience, it is beneficial to focus on a critical "life support" process for the corporation.  Many times this can be started at the top level COO for instance, asking what is the # 1 thing which causes issues with customers, collections, services, etc..  One such item is "contract to cash" and specific sub-components of this process such as "unbilled hours" which if corrected prior to billing issuance will result in more accurate Invoices, and collections. An improvement of this nature shortens the cycle time of billing to collection, or hour entry to billing calculation, and with improved accuracy increases cash flow and lowers cost per transaction.
What you are suggesting in terms of Media expert, etc.. is more associated with Roles which are aligned with Solution Scenarios within SAP.  Business Processes may span many roles, and are critical to the application being developed.
I believe this is the purpose of BPM, but would welcome any further comments from colleagues regarding framework.
Please take a look at the following BLOG as well as Lakshmikanth does a very good job explaning the landscape:

  • Is Oracle BPM for only modeling process?

    Hi
Is Oracle BPM only for Business process modeling? I know there is a PAPI java library to implement User Interface.
But i geuss it takes a lot of Time. We are planning to use Oracle BPM process and Stuts for front end.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Oracle BPM is similar to a pure-play process modeling tool in that it supports process modeling, documentation and simulation.
Here's where Oracle BPM and process modeling tools differ. Oracle BPM was built and architected from the beginning as a full lifecycle Business Process Management (BPM) tool. This means that it is a complete solution with modeling, logic / business rules, end user interface, runtime and BAM capabilities built into it from the beginning 10 years ago.
Go here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/index.html and click on "Oracle BPM data-sheet" for a marketing take on it's capabilities. If you'd like a 3 hour hands-on tour through it, click on the "Oracle BPM Tutorial for new users" link. If you do the tutorial, be sure to ping this forum if you get confused - we'll be glad to help.
Undoubtedly, there's more than you wanted to know in this thread. At a minimum, take a look at the "End User Interface" paragraph below for my take on your Struts question. The nice thing about the forum is that others are sure to disagree with my recommendation and you'll get the benefit from their experience as well.
    Modeling
Oracle BPM was built with one process modeling diagram. It is simple, BPMN based and quick to learn. It supports the roles and the activities I need to build robust processes. I use the same diagram to explain the process to executives, managers, IT, SME and business analysts. As a business analyst, the tool is not complicated and can be learned in just a couple hours. As a developer, I use the same modeling diagram, but the tool profile I use is a robust IDE that lets me create the implementation details (objects, logic, integration to services and local testing). If I make a change as a developer, the business analyst can see the change if they look at the same process artifact (typically shared through a source control repository).
    Logic and Integration
Process modeling tools are not BPM tools so they are not intended to support the process logic or integration to your existing IT assets needed to execute a business process.
Oracle BPM can use a service bus as the intermediary layer to expose existing IT assets. Alternatively, Oracle BPM can expose and consume components directly if you do not have a service bus. These IT assets are stored in Oracle BPM's catalog for reuse by developers creating the logic needed inside Oracle BPM automated processes.
As a developer using Oracle BPM, I use templates and drag and drop to create much of my logic. Once I catalog an object it can be reused across multiple projects either by using the Project Dependency option or by importing the artifacts. I test my logic either by using the method editor debugger or at the process level. As I create objects used in my logic using Oracle BPM, I inherit attributes provided by introspected components. This means that if you have an ERP system object with 138 attributes, you do not have to rebuild this object from scratch in Oracle BPM.

    End User Interface
Before deciding to create your own Struts based UI, examine the capabilities of the OOTB Oracle BPM Workspace. Others on this forum will disagree with this, but rebuilding the functionality of the Oracle BPM Workspace will take quite a bit of time and will require an in-depth knowledge of PAPI (Oracle BPM's API into the runtime Engine) knowledge.
End user interface screens and complex end user interaction with a variety of screens can be built inside the Oracle BPM toolset's WYSIWYG editor. The forms use the attributes of the objects described in the previous paragraph. There's a common misconception that you cannot have both client side and server side components invoked from the UI. This is simply not the case. You can use both client side and server side components to do cross field validation or provide lists for valid values.
If you'd been are a JSP shop you'd have had the flexibility to instead create your forms using the Oracle BPM tag library instead of the forms editor provided.
Since you're a Struts shop, your presentations will be exposed as "External" using Interactive activity Screenflows.
The forms you build are automatically presented in the OOTB Workspace.
    Runtime
End users interact with the processes at runtime using an OOTB Workspace. End users are given various roles. When they log into the Workspace, the end users only see the work item instances that are in the roles that they have been assigned. There is an Engine that stores the work item instance information as it flows through the processes at runtime. The Engine is like a traffic cop, ensuring that the right work item instance goes to the right person in the right activity at the right time.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • Template and One-Time Material Processing

    Hi experts!
Has anyone implemented and used Template and One-Time Material Processing?
If so, what is your experience with it?
    Best regards / Gustav

    Hello Gustav
we have no experience in using this functionality. In most cases the use of this function is not what you really need in "real life" (depending clearly on the number of "one time materials"). In most cases it is most common to use the "normal" EH&S set up to profit from e.g. MSDS delivery etc.
    But according to:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/es/9e/95463ce293dd3ae10000000a11402f/content.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_rc10/helpdata/en/98/cb4d3c07c42b77e10000000a114084/content.htm
etc. it is a "simple" approach as long as you understand what is supported in using this approach and what is not.
Examples of processes which are not supported are:
    - MSDS delivery
    - EH&S SVT
    - Creation of HSM master data
    - etc.
As you can see the number of EH&S supported processes is low (only DG processes in reality).
I found one further  related  threads in this FORUM:

  • Subcontracting Process with Customer owned stock

We are looking for SAP supported process where the customer sends us components along with a sales order for a finished good. The components have to be received into customer owned stock and will be used (for instance as part of the BOM) to produce the finished good ordered by the customer.
Does anybody have a solution for this process within SAP?

    Hi,
    1. Define your customer materials (both component and finished product) as non valuated material, because these materials not effecting the our inventory.
    2. create Bom for finished product.
    3. Create sales order for service charges with reference to your customer PO.
    4. Receive the component from your customer through 501 E (with out po sales order specific).
    5. Create Production order with reference to sales order through MRP or manual.
    6. confirm the production order and receive the
    finished product.
    7. Delivery to customer as in normal sales process.
    8. Then create performa invoice or billing to your customer.
You can follow the above process, if have any further quarry please let me know.
