Suppress Drill from Months Level to Day Level in Column Selector

Hi all,
I have month Column in my Report and and i have month column in column selectors.
Default the report run on Month,some dimension and other meaure columns.Here i have put no drill from Month to Day.So it wont show the drill.
But if is select the Month column in column selector that i will have 2 columns one having month with no drill and other month having drill.
How can i suppress the drill on the month which is coming from Column Selector?

Try this:
1) Select "Month" in your Column Selector.
2) Now go to Criteria mode. The "Month" column from the Column Selector should be there. Click on the Column Properties of the column and set Value Interaction to "No Interaction."
3) Save your report.
4) Go back to Results tab and re-select your "default" column in the column selector and Save report again.

IOS 7 Calendar on iPad I cannot go from month view to day view. When I tap on the day of the month nothing happens.

I use to be able to look at my month in the month view and when I wanted to make an appointment for a specific day I just tapped that day and it would open up the day and I could add my appointment to the time slot I wanted. Now when I am in month view and I tap on the day I want to make an appointment it does nothing. If I hold my finger on the day it creates an All Day event which is not what I want to do and even if I add a start time to the event, I don't know what times I have available on that day because the Day view hasn't opened. This is extremely frustrating. On my iphone it works properly...I can go from month view to day view by tapping on the day I want to view. Why can't I do this on my iPad?? If I could go back to ios 6 I would, calendar is not impressive at all!!
Please help with any suggestions or PLEASE APPLE.....FIX THIS!!!

I just tested, and this unfortunately still seems to be a bug in the latest iOS 7.1 release of the Calendar on the iPad, which is too bad since the release notes suggest that this iOS update included both bug fixes and enhancements to the Calendar.
To my knowledge the bug has never been an issue on the iPhone version of the Calendar which behaves exactly as you would expect it should.
It seems inconcievable given the obvious broken-ness of the current behavior coupled with what I would expect is a massive number of people who use the Calendar on the iPad, but is it possible that this bug isn't on Apple's radar?
I'm happy to submit a bug report; does anyone know offhand the process for how the public can report bugs?
This has been persistent in the product for nearly six months; it's well overdue that this bug be squashed.

Calendar from month view to day view

Hi,
why isn't it possible (like on my iPhone) if I'm in the month view to tip on a specific day and see this day in the day view?
I adressed this already at the Apple Feedback page but it seems to be thaat even in iOS 7.1 it has not made into the finals - or am I doing it just wrong?

I share your frustration Joerg - when I switch from MONTH view to DAY view, I seem to end up on a random day rather than the day I'm trying to choose.
My 'workaround' is to double-click on the chosen day to create a New Event, then click across to Day view, then hit erase o get rid of the unwanted new event. Surely there must be a better way?

Level Based Measure at Month level.

Hi,
I have defined a level based measure at "Month Level".
I am expecting it have aggregate at month level within a year.
But it is showing aggregation of month without regards to the year. For example in data of four years, for month of Aug it shows aggregation of Aug -2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007.
How i can get Monthly aggregation at Month-Year level ?
The time dimension and its hierarchy are based standard OWB time dimension.

How to give filters from Year level to day level in dashboard?

Hi all,
I have some 7 to 10 components and i want the filter from Year level to day (Year,Quarter,Month, Week and Day) with "All" option as default from Quarter to Day level.
As default Only current year should be selected for which my components should display 4 quarters data
and when any quarter is selected my components should display 3 respective months data
then when particular month is selected then my components should display 4 weeks data
when week is selected the 7 days data
and last when day is selected only that days data should be displayed.
All the data will be coming from Database, to get data we need to build query & prompts and map accordingly
And those prompts should be mapped to these filters and work dynamically.
If anyone know how to implement this please let me know.

Hi,
As you said try to prompts for all the above mentioned filtering criteria, then use the combo box as a drop down filter, In first combo box take year list. From second combo box take the data in Tree view using filtered rows insertion type. Below given link can give you a idea how to pass the subsequent values to the next cell.
Instead of continent & country & ..... you can take quarter, month, week and so on, so your combo box fills the data automatically.

Custom Drill from the last level of Hierarchy

I have a dimension hierarchy STAGE which has five levels L1 -> L2 -> L3 -> L4 -> L5
and my fact table have 5 measure columns say M1 , M2 , M3 , M4 , M5 along with the dimension columns .
My requiremetn is to show only the top level hierarchy and one measure column initially:
L1 -- M1
now user have to drill from L1 to L5
L1 L2 M1
L1 L2L3-- M1
L1 L2L3--L4-- M1
L1 L2L3--L4--L5-- M1
by default when the user comes at the last level of hierarchy or the hyperlink to drill futrter gets disabled.
Now my requirement is to show the detail report when the user comes at the last level and the there should be a link on it. when the user will clink on the last level link it should open below report :
L1 L2L3--L4--L5--D1--D2--D3--D4--D5--M1--M2--M3--M4--M5
D1-D5 are other dimension columns which are connected to Fact Table.
Any suggestions??

Hi all, i had run into the following thing, this may soung easy, but i'm searching for the best solution:
i have a dataset per the stores of the customer, the dataset is an asset count on the end of the specific month. I must not sum the data between two/N months.
We they need to do several querries like
sales/assets/day
Sales/itemgroup/asset/day
sales/salesperson/asset/day
etc.
My problem is that i have this data on a month&store level, but i need to provide a solution, so it could be handled as a "global" value on that, so they can query it "almost any ways".
I don't really want to generate day/other level data based on this, so any tricks, how to repeat the data in all lines for that specific month on presentation/Business level?
All ideas are welcome.

Sorry if I took this wrong but are you try to do level based measured
Take the same physical column in the fact and have one aggregated at a month level and the other at a day level.
If yes, make sure you build a date dimension hierarchy and mapped at the correct level to the fact. Then take your measure and correctly define them at the correct level, day, month etc

Navigate report from detils level in hierarchy

I have requirement that i want to have only one report. which is applied for drill down.
Ex: Year, Measure
Year-->Quarter-->Month--> Day
when i drill from year to day and i have to applied navigate to another from day. Is it possible.

As said above you have only year and measure column in report.*Hope you have Qtr,Month,day attributes in your dimension*.then create separate reports with 1),year,Qtr,measure with Year Is prompted.
2)Qtr,Month,Measure with Qtr is prompted.
3)Month,Day,measure with Month Is prompted.
goto each report for eaxmple Year,measure edit column propertires of year column goto column format tab-->Value Interaction-->navigate-->browse and select Year,Qtr,measure report..similary do for rest levels..
or
if you have Time dimension Hierarchy set appropriate level with drill down feature..

How to generate a Yearly report based on a calculation at the Month level

Have the need to create a report as follows. Any ideas on how this can be accomplished in OBI is appreciated. I have already tried different ways but non worked for me.
The data is stored in a table at day level as follows:
Day Amount_A Amouont_B
1/1/2008     100     100
1/15/2008     200     100
2/1/2008     100     400
2/15/2008     300     200
1/1/2009     100     300
1/15/2009     100     200
2/1/2009     200     100
2/15/2009     400     300
The report should be displayed at Year level. Amount_A is just the summation of Amount_A from the table at daily level rolled up to the Year level in the Time dimension. The same thing for Amount_B.
The formula for Absolute_Error is Absolute(Amount_A - Amount_B). But the problem is that it has to be calculated at the Month level instead of Day Level. So following is the logic for Absolute_Error:
Month     Amount_A Amount_B     Absolute_Error
Jan-2008     300     200     100
Feb-2008     400     600     200
Jan-2009     200     500     300
Feb-2009     600     400     200
The report should be displayed as follows:
Year Amount_A Amount_B     Absolute_Error
2008     700     800     300
2009     800     900     500
Note that the calculation of Absolute_Error results in a different value if it is calculated at the Month level and summed up to Year than if it were calculated at the Day level and then summed up to Year. It is required to be based on Month level for this report.
Is there a way to do this without having to build an aggregated fact table at the Month level?

Do this:
1. Create Amount_A and Amount_B in BMM without SUM as default aggregation rule.
2. Now, just go to Answers and make report with three columns:
YEAR -- EXPRESSION 1 -- EXPRESSION 2
EXPRESSION 1 is:
sum(Amount_A) - sum(Amount_B)
EXPRESSION 2 is:
sum
abs
sum(Amount_A by MONTH)
sum(Amount_B by MONTH)
My example in Answers:
TIMES.CALENDAR_YEAR
sum(SALES.QUANTITY_SOLD_NORMAL) - sum(SALES.AMOUNT_SOLD_NORMAL)
sum( abs(sum(SALES.QUANTITY_SOLD_NORMAL by TIMES.CALENDAR_MONTH_DESC) - sum(SALES.AMOUNT_SOLD_NORMAL by TIMES.CALENDAR_MONTH_DESC) ) )
This will first summarize amount A and amount B on a month level and then do a difference, after that ABS and then sum on the year level.
This is workaround to avoid larger RPD changes.

Conditional drill based on level

I have a requirement that users can drill down through a hierarchy in the standard way. However when they get to the bottom (leaf node) of the hierarchy
then they should be directed to a different report which shows data for a selected measure(I cannot use a federated query for this since the dimensionality of the 2nd report is different)
For example, the initial report would show data for a given year, they could then drill to quarter and then to month and then day. When they get to this level they would be be able to click on a measure and be directed to a different report which shows the base transactional data for that measure.
Is there any way to achieve this ? I can use the standard 'navigate' functionality to drill down, but when I get to a certain level in the hierarchy I need to use the 'GO URL' to perform the drill through.
What I need to do is detect that the user has hit the leaf node and then enable drilling to the second report.
What I have in mind is to let the user drill down until they get to the leaf node. Then for a given measure I would enable the drill through based on a case statement in the formula for the measure. Something like
case when <at leaf> then
create go URL link to other report
else
show measure
end
is this possible - I can't work out how to detect the fact that the user cannot drill down any further - the standard drill down functionality must do something similar since you can drill down until you get to the leaf and then no further.

I assume your transactional data is present in oracle tables. so you need to import the table along with the fact that has that information and drop it in your BMM in the required dimension(In your case Time) as a multiple logical source. Now you need to map the transactional data column to your lowest level column(assuming date in ur case) in the column mapping. Now create a dummy level in the hierarchy as gen 5,transaction or some thing assuming gen 4 is lowest gen of your dimension. Specify the level in the multiple logical source as well as the relational fact in the BMM. Also assign the column that is used in in join between fact and dimension of the relational tables in the dummy hierarchy and create a key on it. Also in the BMM diagram the dimension that has to be navigated should be joined to both the essbase cube and the relational fact.now in the reports create a report made out of relational tables with essbase dimensions prompted.Now nable a navigation link on dollars of the essbase report once it reaches to the lowest level, clicking on the dollars will seemlessly navigate to the relational report.So basically we tricked the OBIEE to make it believe that there is another level below gen 4 which is gen 5. that is the reason why you create the dummy hierarchy.hope this helps

Your problem description is still insufficiently detailed.
It appears now that you are searching for asset numbers. Please confirm.
Your selection criteria "Inventory Number NE 0" doesn't appear to make much sense. Inventory number is not a quantity, it is the name of an object. I guess it is meaningful you have some inventory numbers named as '0'. I don't think this setting is causing your problem though.....
You didn't mention which table you accessed to discover that you had a perceived discrepancy. Which table did you browse to see the results you mentioned? Please describe the selection parameters for each table you reviewed, and the results for each table that you examined.
It is also the practice of many companies to archive asset data. If this is the case in your company, then the archived data will not reside in the 'A*" tables.
You mentioned that you used the same parameters to select the data. How did you select "Report Date" when you did the table extract? I am not aware of a field that is named "report date' in any of the tables mentioned.
Rather than slog through tables, you might want to try SE16, view "V_ANLAZ". This is a preconstructed linkage of ANLA and ANLZ that is used by S_ALR_87012050 as a starting point.
I really think you should consult with your ABAPers. In two minutes they can give you your answers. It will take me several messages and probably several days to get you the same answers.

Dunning Procedure (FBMP) - Total Due Items from Dunning Level

In Dunning Procedure (FBMP), there is a field called "Total Due Items from Dunning Level" ...
Questions: What does this field mean?
Besides, if possible, kindly explain the following:
1) Min.days in arrears (acct):
Days in arrears which at least one item in this account must have for a dunning notice to be created. These minimum days in arrears have no influence on calculating the days overdue.
If I put 50, then does this mean that system won't generate dunning notice, although in the dunning level 1: 15, dunning level 2: 30, and dunning level 3: 45?

The dunning intervals are usually meant for two purposes, one to send notices at appropriate intervals, to calculate interest on arrears accordingly for delay in payment. The dunning days say 45 will not be calculated from the 15th day but from the original date of document posting. Say if you have an open item on 01.01.2008 and the dunning procedure calls for intervals 15.30.45 etc. first dunning is due on 16.05.2008 and second dunning 01.06.2008 third dunning due on 16.06.2008.
Some other useful info. whenever a dunning run is complete the vendor master and the line items gets updated automatically. So if you have to run dunning again for the one already run say, you want to generate the dunning notice of the 2nd dunning then you have to delete these details from the base records and schedule dunning once again. Otherwise you obviously will generate notice of the last dunning run. Also if you are scheduling dunning for group of vendors then all vendors should have the same dunning levels, otherwise the output will be of the latest dunning level. But the master records and line items gets updated correctly. Example you are dunning for two vendors one has got the second level due and other has got 3rd level due but the output for the two will be the output of 3rd level . But the vendor master and line items gets updated as 2 and 3 accordingly. This will happen if and only the vendors fall in the same dunning procedure.

Now problem here till yesterday all data are okay and that make send to end user, but chunk of data for today (2-5 %) don’t make any sense…. now question
here is any way I can hide value for all members for today which is (2-5 %) only, that way data visible from CUBE level only till yesterday.<o:p></o:p>

1) Create a security implementation, so that the users are allowed to see the data until yesterday. Dimension Security on your Date Dimension)
2) Scope the Dimension Member for future Dates to NULL

Unable to switch from one level tabs to two level tabs.

I created my application using one level tabs. When I created parent tabs they didn't show up. I have changed the Page property to Two Level Tabs in the Default Templates by Component section of the Define Theme page. But the 2 level tabs just not show. After some trials even the 1 level tabs dissapeared. I can't see any tab now.
Is there any method to switch safely from one level tabs to two level tabs and have them show properly?

The main problem when switching from one-level tabs to two-level tabs is the "psuedo-parent-tab" that gets created as a container reference for the standard tabs. Once you get past that - and change the default template for your application you're well on your way.

Error : Reading from Aggregation Level not permitted

Hello Gurus,
Could somebody please give some help or advice regarding this?
I have a multiprovider on a regular cube and an aggregation level, for some reason the multicube gives me the following error message when I try to display data using listcube.
Reading from Aggregation Level is not permitted
Message no. RSPLS801
Also the Query on the multicube does not display data for any of the KF's in the Agg Level but when I create a query on the Agg level itself it is fine.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
transaction LISTCUBE does not support all InfoProviders, e.g. aggregation level are not supported. LISTCUBE is a 'low level' to read data from the BW persistence layer, e.g. InfoCubes. Since aggregation level always read transaction data via the so called planning buffer and the planning buffer technically is a special OLAP query LISTCUBE does not support aggregation level.
