SVG Support for Dataset Attribute

This is really a feature request, as I realize that the dataset attribute is only defined for HTML ( https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/HTMLElement.dataset ) . But it would be very nice if that capability were extended into SVG as well, as it is for Safari and Chrome. For example, p.dataset.camelCasedName is understood by Firefox but svg.dataset.camelCasedName is not, returning the error message “TypeError: svg.dataset is undefined”. Safari and Chrome understand both.

hello aanderson, this is a primarily community-run support forum so it's probably not the right place to request features (we cannot implement any features & devs won't read here).
please either use https://input.mozilla.org/feedback for general feedback or if you feel that it's a missing feature in the browser file a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org.

  • JSTL Expression Support For All Attributes

    There are mentions of JSTL expression support for the
    modelReference attribute within the specification (although I have found problems in the EA3 in this regard), but
    but I did not find any mention of supporting the same for all
    attributes. To me, this seems very important, especially for
    attributes like "onClick" where I might want to do something special:
    <c:foreach ...
    <h:graphic_image modelReference="model.myImage" onClick="onDelete({status.index})"/>
    </c:foreach>
    In the case above, this would allow me to call a single javascript function that triggers a delete action based on the current index within a list based view.
    There are many cases that I can think of that this would be incredibly useful.

    maybe you have forgotten the $
    onClick="onDelete(${status.index})"
    or I've misunderstood something...

  • [faces] No support for "value" attribute of h:grap

    I'm experimenting with NitroX for JSF and in trying to edit an existing JSF page (one created in Java Studio Creator), I discovered that the NitroX visual designer will not display the image unless the "url" attribute is used for the h:graphicImage tag. The spec says that "url" is an alias for the "value" tag, which appears to be the prefered tag. I'm surprised both aren't supported. Any plans for this in the future?

    Yes, this is a known issue and should be fixed in the future.

  • Exchange Connector 9.1.1.1.0 -Support for multivalued attribute

    Hi,
    I am currently on OIM 9.1 BP07 + weblogic 10.3 + RHEL5.
    Currently I have a mutlvalued attribute that needs to be reconciled, when I use OOTB reconciliation task i get column not found exception on child table which is configured to hold multivalued attribute.
    1. Is OOTB exchange connector supports Multivalued attribute reconciliation?
    2. If no, how can i populate the child form during custom reconciliation process?
    Thanks

  • Localization support for Metadata/Attributes in WebCenter Content

    Hi,
    One of the Metadata/attributes for an WCC item is dDocTitle which can be supplied by user while creating the object in WCC.
    Can the value of this metadata be localized for different locales?
    TIA
    -Nik

    Yes, absolutely.
    Actually, since you want to localize a standard metadata field, it will already be customized for you (just log in a different language). You might want to adjust the translation. There are several way how to achieve that:
    a) the translation is defined in language files. It used to be .htm, but in 11g the file extension has been changed. A language file has a structure as follows:
    <@key=translation@>, the keys mostly follow a pattern like wwXyz (e.g. wwDocTitle).
    Unfortunately, sometimes the same string is displayed using keys - therefore, you need to find which key is the right one for a page you want to customize.
    If you find it, you may want to create your own custom component with a html resource, where you can override the translation with your own strings. It is a bit trickier if you want to do it for several languages at once (then, the language is taken from the name of the file, or the key can be a bit more complex - you will find examples for that in your system)
    b) Another way how to change the displayed label is a rule (profile). This can be useful, if you want to use the same metadata field differently in a different context (e.g. there is a field called "Address", but you want to display "Company Address" for company-related items, and "Personal Address" for person-related items)
    c) (not relevant to your question) for custom fields you can also override the displayed label in Configuration Manager. If you want to have them localised, you will have to use a key and provide the translations.

  • JAXB support for "any" attribute

    I have a question related to JAXB.
    Will JAXB be able to handle <xs:any minOccurs="0"/> Tag , when building the java classes. Will there be any defautl type to which this tag will be mapped.

    Not the JAXB 1.0 included with JDeveloper 10.1.3.
    JAXB 2.0 included with JDeveloper 11g supports xs:any.

  • Adobe Reader v10.4.4 support for PDF with attributes

    Hi there,
    I recently downloaded Adobe Reader v10.4.4 for my iPhone. I was just wondering if it supports PDFs with attributes?
    To test I created two PDFs using GIS application called MapInfo Professional:
    1. PDF without attributes - this one was able to open succesfully
    2. PDF with attributes - this one could not open and threw an error "Not a valid PDF document"
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for your speedy reply. Yes, I forgot to mention, these PDFs can open up in my desktop version of Adobe Reader (v8) for Windows.
    PDF with attributes means that there is records (attribute data) contained in the PDF which is being saved into the PDF when it was created using the GIS application. For example if looking at postal area: PDF map, ID number, place name, population, area (sq m) values etc.
    The specific tool/function which allows these attribute values to be exposed is called the 'Object Data' tool (under Tools > Object Data in the desktop version)
    (I have attached a screenshot showing these attributes in the desktop version so you may get a better understanding hopefully! Pls see link below)
    http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm199/dkny1315/ScreenHunter_44Feb151332_zpsd515b1af.gif
    If you need any further info or details, please let me know
    Thanks,

    Hi MacroZ,
    I understand your point. JAWS support different ways to navigate the page, such as use 'tab' key to navigate clickable items, or use 'Ctrl+Alt+arrow keys' to navigate the data table cells.
    I removed the 'gridcell' role from data cells and when I use 'Ctrl+Alt+arrow keys', it works well(I move to one cell, and it can read column title, then row title, then cell value). So it's acceptable because at least we have one way to read this data table :)
    There is one more thing I want to ask, I have one page that include one iframe, and the page inside the iframe has several hyper links, I start JAWS13, then use 'tab' key to navigate these links inside the iframe page, when I navigate to one link, I press 'enter' key to goto the new page, then I found all links in the new page do not work when I navigate to any of them and press 'enter' key(it can works well when using mouse click). Seems there's no problem under IE8, I'm not sure this issue comes from JAWS or firefox, so hope you can help to confirm on this, many thanks!

  • Is there any planned support for the "do not back up" extended attribute for iOS

    Starting in iOS 5.0.1, Apple has introduced a new "do not back up" extended file attribute that will allow an app to store downloaded data into the application folder.  Is there any planned support for setting this attribute within an AIR application or is there currently a way to set this attribute using the existing AIR SDK.

    Yes, this is exactly what I'm wondering too. Without it, we can't build any apps that download content without the risk of the content being deleted.
    Here's the background before Apple introduced the new "do not back up" attribute:
    http://www.marco.org/2011/10/13/ios5-caches-cleaning
    Fortunately, Apple addressed it after that blog post in 5.0.1. See bullet #4 here, quoted below
    https://developer.apple.com/icloud/documentation/data-storage/
    Q:  My app has a number of files that need to be stored on the device permanently for my app to function properly offline. However, those files do not contain user data and don't need to be backed up. How should I store those files in iOS 5?
    A: Starting in iOS 5.0.1 a new "do not back up" file attribute has been introduced allowing developers to clearly specify which files should be backed up, which files are local caches only and subject to purge, and which files should not be backed up but should also not be purged. In addition, setting this attribute on a folder will prevent the folder and all of its contents from being backed up.
    Important: The new "do not back up" attribute will only be used by iOS 5.0.1 or later. On iOS 5.0 and earlier, applications will need to store their data in <Application_Home>/Library/Caches to avoid having it backed up. Since this attribute is ignored on older systems, you will need to insure your app complies with the iOS Data Storage Guidelines on all versions of iOS that your application supports.
    Now we just need Adobe to support the attribute in the AIR SDK. What do you say Adobe?

  • Support for .svg images ?

    Hi, I wish to save some .svg images on my iMac - but could import to iPhoto.
    They do open in Safari, but I wanted to ideally store them in my photo library. Is there .svg support in iPhoto and I have just tried importing incorrectly ? Or perhaps a future release of iPhoto ?
    I'm on iPhoto 08
    many thanks,
    GazzaPax

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The iLife applications do not support the scalable vector graphic format. You will need to convert to one of the image formats that is supported: JPEG, TIFF, PSD, GIF and PNG.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
    NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • DBSequence type no longer available for entity attributes?

    I'm puzzled by this, if not scared.
    Every version of JDev till 11.1.1.2.0 has had out-of-the-box support for DBSequence as an entity attribute type.
    When you set it for your PK, JDev disables a few options, automatically sets "refresh after insert" (and maybe other stuff) and handles everything about it.
    Now, I see that in new applications created with 11.1.1.2.0 that option is no longer present...!
    It's available only for apps migrated from previous versions.
    If you create a new application, you no longer have DBSequence in the Type dropdown.
    Here's what the documentation (Oct 2009 DevGuide, par 4.10.10) says:
    In the Edit Attribute dialog, you can set the value of the Type field to the built-in data
    type named DBSequence and the primary key will be assigned automatically by the
    database sequence. Setting this data type automatically selects the refresh after Insert
    checkbox.Where on Earth is this built-in data type named DBSequence in Jdev 11.1.1.2.0?

    Thanks Paul.
    It seems JDev broke my application.
    It only shows the native Java types in the dropdown, and does not show any of the Oracle types including Number, DBSequence and all the rest.
    (Note that all the connections I work with use the Oracle type map, of course - it's automatic.)
    I tried a new quick test with a new application and again, no Oracle types, just the java types.
    Then closed and reopened my applications as well as JDev and I can now see all the types in my quick test.
    However, my original application still "sees" no Oracle types, it's stuck with the Java types.
    I'll try to see if I can repair it in some way... I'll eventually put it down as one of the gazillion one-time bugs that JDev shows daily.

  • Is there any customer support for this product?

    I have a client who has sent me two documents. When I log on using my Adobe ID it says
    the Document could not be found because of one of the following reasons:
    * Document was rejected by one of signatories
    * Document was cancelled by initiator
    * Document was deleted by initiator
    * Document has expired
    My Adobe ID is not the same as the email I use everyday and I don't see a place to add additional emails. Now I have three Adobe IDs
    How do I contact Customer service or tech support for this product?

  • Support for HTML and CSS properties

    My biggest frustration with Acrobat Pro 9 is that it dropped support for certain HTML and/or CSS properties that were available in Acrobat Pro 8. In particular, the page-break-before attribute no longer works, nor does colspan. When I convert an HTML table with some colspans into a PDF, the table looks okay to the naked eye, but the structure behind the table (PDF tags) is incorrect.
    I can live without the page breaks, but I need colspan. I need to do this for hundreds of tables, so opening the Acrobat Table Editor and fixing the colspan by hand is not an option. A scripting/programming solution is required. Has anyone found a workaround? Does Acrobat X fix this problem?

    hello
    not trying to hijack the thread but needed some clarification
    your very short tutorial
    http://alt-web.blogspot.com/2012/11/primer-for-using-jquery-plug-ins.h tml
    was really informative. Just have a couple quick questions:
    you state:
    "the core code library which you ref in your <head> tags,"
    the below code just has to be declared ONCE at the beging in your head section, correct?
    <!-- jQuery latest core library from CDN-->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js">
    </script>
    then any number of jquery plugin scripts can be placed in ANY order in your head section following the above code, correct?
    "the function code inside <script> tags to invoke the plug-in."
    so then in the body, does the functions code have to come RIGHT AFTER the place it is being used?
    example
    <body>
    <div class="slideshow1"
    </div>
    <!--Plug-In Function Code1-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    </script>
    <div class="slideshow2"
    </div>
    <!--Plug-In Function Code2-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    </script>
    </body>
    or can you take all the function codes and paste them in the end outside of the respective divs that are using the code?
    ie does the position of the code matter?\
    thanks guys
