SWCV PROBLEM

HI EVERYONE
I MADE AN EXPORT/IMPORT OF A NAMESPACE FROM QAS TO DEV. WITH THAT I CORRECTED SOME INCOSCISTENCES.
BUT NOW I CAN NOT CHANGE ANYTHING, IT SAYS:  "SOFTWARE COMPONENT VERSION CANNOT BE CHANGED".
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME TO SOLVE IT OR TELL ME HOW TO RE-IMPORT THAT SWCV  WITHOUT LOOSING LAST MODIFICATIONS??
THANKS
EMMANUEL

HI,
To be able to edit contents of a software component version, open the software component version in the Integration Builder, goto change mode and select 'Objects are Modifiable'.

  • Not able to import components into IR

    Dear all,
    I just installed ecc 6.0 in my home PC.
    installationall went perfect and its working fine.
    PROBLEM: I created a software Component in SLD.
    but when i got to Integration Repository and try to Import from SLD in Tools  its comming as " Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory "sapserver:50100 "
    I dont know what is causing this problem!
    Please Help.

    First your SWCV problem......
    Make sure the service users are present and all the necessary roels are there ( i mean all the service users PI* if not there for time being create them)
    Problem:
    1)I checked the gateway host & gateway Service both were not correct as u told. i changed the gateway host to: <hostname> and gateway sevice to "sapgw01".
    01 is this your instace number? sapgwXX ( XX is your instance number)
    2) Now its telling as unregistered Program ID when i test the connections in for SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC.
    you have to create the JCO connections in Visual amdin, for SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC
    then this will get registred as PID
    Please tell me how to give a registered Program ID.
    note: I checked for registered Program ID in "smgw" i am not able to find any Program ID, or in sm37 or sm38.
    ( Ex XI RFC sender adapter will take the PID which you have mentieond in the adapter and tries to ping to the R/3 to look for the same PID to get the RFC dest name to retrive the data from there.....
    This PID is not linked to any program or so only thing is the names of the PID in the rfc dest you create and RFC sender adaoter shhould be same.....
    when R/3 sends the data to external system i mean non SAP it usess RFC concept, for that it usess the TCPIP port...now the abaer in his program will send the data to the TCPIP port you have created...data comes and stops here untill external program calls to this RFC dest....when you create the RFC dest to send data to External system (NON sap) the external system should know that RFC destnation...it will detect the RFC dest using the PID....when you create the RFC dest and regirsted server program...r/3 will sotre this information like PID and RFCdest name.....rfc sender adpter will look for that PID which youmentined and look for the same PID in the R/3 and then it will take the rfc dest name and retrive the data.....
    the only conecpt of the PID is to able the 2 differnet system talk to each other using the common name....no program is required for this.....)
    ANOTHER PROBLEM
    1) I am using user id PISUPER for logging into IR ID and SLD
    But when i try to login with PISUPER in SAPLOGON its saying "Name or USerID doesnot EXIST".
    create it and check
    2)I am able to login to SAPLOGON via userid sapuser
    3)I went to tcode "su01" i tried to check the entry for "PISUPER"
    its telling the username doesnot exist?
    could this be creating the above mentioned probles in IR and SLD import.
    i think your post configuration steps you need to check once more...check are you able to import all the BS from SLD in ID also?
    for the IR i think the service user might be the issue

  • Problem in importing SWCV in Integration Repository

    Hi All,
    I am facing a problem while importing SWCV in Integration repository. it is throwing an error as
    <b>Unable to read Software Component Version from the System Landscape Directory "XI1:50000"(SWC_IMPORT_PROCESS_EXCEPTION).</b>
    Regards,
    Chandu

    Hi Chandrasekhar,
    Have you configure SLD properly. to check this give the tcode 'sldcheck'. if it is not giving any error, u have to create 'lcr' rolesin j2ee UME and those roles to be maped to the users using j2ee visuval administrator. for more information check SLD configuration guide .

  • Deployment Problems of Enterprise Application in NWDS 7.1

    Hello Everyone,<br>
    <br>
    I am having a problem when trying to deploy an application I made to the server. The project consists of two DCs, one which is an Enterprise Application and the other is a Web Module. I have configured the web module to be a dependency of the Enterprise application, so that the .war file generated from the Web Module DC is contained within the .ear file created when the Enterprise Application DC is built. The only dependency that the Web Module DC has is "engine.jee5.facade," which is there by default when it is created. I have not added any code to either DC, because I was just trying to test if I could deploy something to the server before I got into that. When I build the Enterprise Application DC, both DCs build successfully (because of the dependency). When I deploy the Enterprise Application DC, I get an "[ERROR CODE DPL.DC.5089]" error message. When I checked the SDN for what that error code means, I get sent to <a href="http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JSTSG/(JSTSG)(Deploy)Problems-P58">http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JSTSG/(JSTSG)(Deploy)Problems-P58</a>, which is pretty vague.
    I did try to see if I could deploy the .ear by itself, without the war file within it (by removing the dependency on the Enterprise Application DC) and that seemed to work ok. Its just seems to be when the Web Module is a dependency of the Enterprise Application is when it fails. I have included the error message I get from NWDS below. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.                                                                                <br>                                                                                <br>                                                                                SUMMARY<br>

    Please find my ans to the following points mentioned by you
    1) BASIS SWCV must be assigned in the Distribution Model Software Component Version tab of the device.
    It is assigned
    2) Activate the "DISTRIBUTE_USER_DETAILS" Rule in the admin.
    Rule is activated
    3) Activate the "DISTRIBUTE_USER_AUTHORIZATIONS" Rule in the admin.
    Rule is activated
    4) Make sure that you have installed the following components in the following sequence in the PDA
    - Creme
    - MinDB/DB2e
    - PDA_eswt_container
    - PDA Runtime.
    Client is  installed in this sequence only. I referrred to help.sap.com while installing
    the application should atleast work in the NWDS PDA simulator. My basic problem is it is not picking  up the data. giving the above mentioned error.

    Hi - We have executed the re-transport which resolved the situation described above.
    However we have not been able to fully close the topic and understand the root cause.
    Our current understanding is as follows:
    At the time of a transport activation, a cache notification is created and the information is transmitted from the Integration Directory to the different caches using user XIDIRUSER. After the successful notification, the cache update is triggered. This is initiated by the IE ABAP Runtime via user XIISUSER. This user is calling the Integration Directory which than takes user XIDIRUSER to retrieve the required objects, e.g. message mappings, from the Integration Repository. If at this stage, the user XIDIRUSER does not receive an available Work-Process, the action is not completed. This means also the cache notification stays green, as the negative feedback cannot be transmitted either, since the user XIDIRUSER 'died out'.
    This was confirmed to happen in an overload situation for our system.
    Please comment if you have any further experiences or different explanation.

  • XI 3.0 SP 20 - Problem with adapter-specific message attributes

    Hi everyone,
    I am using XI 3.0 SP 20, in SP 17 i read who SOAP adapter and mail adapter have additional adapter-specific message attributes in the message header
    But in my XI SP20 dont have that function.
    There arent problem in installation of SP20 (no show errors).
    Can anybody tell me what is happening? Why dont have "adapter-specific message attributes" ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    you have to import the SAP XI content, SAP BASIS 6.40 have to be updated. Because the new attributes for adapters are saved in the Adapter Metadata located in the Integration Repository. If you have not update the content, you will not be able to find new options.
    Start IR and navigate to the SAP BASIS 6.40, double click on this SWCV and click on the Details tab, you should be able see which Support Package the SAP BASIS has at moment. Update it to SP20 if it is still SP17. You will be able to see the required new attributes in Mail Adapter.
    regards,
    Hai

  • GUID of SWCV is not matching with SWCV in ESR(IR).

    Hi Experts,
      I have developed two interface under same existing SWCV of existing interface.
    These two interfcae are under separate Namsapace declared into SWCV of existing Interface.
    Now we need to export the ID and IR objects to deploy the Interfaces in Client enviornment.
    I am facing one problem now. Earlier Client was on 7.0 now they have upgraded to 7.1.
        We have done the .tpz deployment into their server. but now the GUID of SWCV is changed by imported .tpz file.
       During import at client side conflict occurs. we settled the conflict.
       SWCV of SLD 's GUID is not mached wih IR SWCV's GUID - this message is coming when we check with tool->check SLD value.
    Please give suggestion.

    Hi Vijaya,
                In client's Server one of the Interface is already in use and In Production System it is working.
               We have developed additional two Interface under same SWCV under respective namesapaces.
              Th .tpz we have to deployed is the delta developemnt only. but now when we have deployed this .tpz in their enviornment, the Conflict occcurs , we have settled this conflict and additional Interface's IR objects are imported.
    Now we are able to see all objects under respective namesapace.
    Problem is now of SWCV's GUID is overwitten by import. it showing our sever 's SWCV's GUID.
    So Client SLD is not Matched with SWCV of IR.
    Please suggest in this context.

  • Problem with Mulit Mapping/Message Split

    Hi,
    I am a newbie to XI trying to set up a file2file scenario with multi-mapping/message splitting without BPM.
    System is XI 3.0 SP14
    Scenario is:
    read an XML-File and multiply it and write 2 XML-files using the File adaptor.
    For reference I used "multimapping without BPM".
    - setting occurancy of Message types to unbounded in both Message Mapping and Interface Mapping.
    - using the RB_Split button
    - setting up one business service containing 2 message interfaces and 2 communication channels for output.
    Designing and Konfiguring worked fine.
    File is read but no file is written.
    XML-Moni tells me "Mapping did not create Messages"
    I did extensive studies in sap.help, forum and various blogs. Also to verify Messagetypes and Kommunication channels I set up similar file2file scenario without splitting. Nothing really helped.
    Any clues?

    Hi again,
    very efficient method to test XML-source file. - Thanks.
    Unfortunately it did not solve my problem.
    Again: "Split mapping did not create messages"

    PI E-filing GB SWCV Issue
    I am currently experiencing an issue with E-filing in PI.
    We are getting various error messages from the message mappings...
    e.g.Target message Message Type: HR_GB_EFI_DPSrequestToken_Response does not exist in software component version ID: 4b9f4c422e6011dab9e1f8170a114c15 Check whether software component version ID: 4b9f4c422e6011dab9e1f8170a114c15 is in the Enterprise Services Repository. Import this or a newer version if necessary.
    We are on Support package 19 for E-filing and 65 for SAP HR 6.00.
    Can anyone shed any light on what the problem might be?
    Also what is guid 4b9f4c422e6011dab9e1f8170a114c15 refering to because SAP HR 6.0's guid is 9dc41520ad7211d8bae0d61d0a114c15.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    The GUIDs are uniquely defined for each version of the swc. So, you are using a wrong swcv in you repository, while the mappings are referring to another swcv.
    As per the error above, the problem is with the HR SWCV that you are using as it is complaning that the target message is not available in the SWCV. If you keenly observe, the above GUIDs are different.

  • Problem in importing idoc

    Hi Friends,
    Im using XI 7.0 , While importing an idoc into a SWCV  from connected R3 system i get the following error :
    " Problem to reach R3 system "
    Detailed error message  says " Attempt to import the application component hierarchy failed " CAN_NOT_BUILD_AKH.
    I checked that IDX1, rfc destinations etc . are all ok
    Message server details were also correct.
    Can you help.
    regards
    Prasenjit

    Hi,
    Make sure your user id has the proper authorizations as described in the following article on the XI/R3 boxes (if they are separate)

  • Strange Problem in BPM.

    In sxi_cache we are finding some BPM's in 99 status.In the list displayed in sxi_cache we cannot see the repository namespace and SWCV in the integration processs link of sxi_cache.When I tried to re-activate from the sxi_ccahe browser I get a strange error saying "Container element does not exist"...Can anyone help?

    Michael,
    Iam just waiting for a reply from you.
    I understand and the fact is that sxi_cache just displays the entries in SWFXICACHE and when I execute sxi_cache in full mode the table entries are filled through some system RFC's and not sure why there are errors in same BPM.
    We are in the QA server and donot want to re-activate the BPM in IR  since as per the standard process we should not modify the IR objects in QA.
    I have trouble shooted the problem to a certain extent.The problem is due to even type linkage of that workflow is not activated in the QA.This entries are missing in the SWE2 and also when I go to SWDD transaction and select on the recieve step..the right pane does not show me a link to the proxy and says binding does not exist?
    Can you crack it???

  • Integration Process Referencing Message Interfaces In A Different SWCV

    Hello Experts!
    I am creating an Integration Process IP within SWCV A, using an Interface Mapping Object within SWCV A, Abstract Message Interface MI_A1 from SWCV B and Abstract Message Interface MI_A2 from SWCV B.
    Because we have the dependencies set up in the SLD wherein SWCV A is a dependent SWCV of SWCV B, these basis objects can be referenced by the IP during the create process.
    However, when I try to execute a "check" or activate the IP, I get the following error:
    Expression must return the interface type MI_A1
    Expression must return the interface type MI_A2
    If I copy the MI objects into SWCV A, the IP is activated successfully.
    The question is:
    Why is it that while I'm creating the IP I am able to reference these basis objects, but the "check" or "activate" does not allow it? What is this error telling me?
    Want more points? Appreciate any insight.

    Thanks for pointing me to the right direction, Aamir.
    It turned out that the problem was caused by one of the Message Interfaces used by the Interface Mapping. It had errors to where it was pointing to an inactive IDoc object. The bad MI caused the IM to be bad, that eventually caused the problem while creating the Integration Process.
    Thanks again!
    H.

  • How to organize Data Objects and other Objects in SWCV

    Hi,
    I am looking for Best Practices on how to organize data objects in SWCV as well as other objects such as a Distribution Rules.
    We are planning to develop three occasionally connected applications with NW Mobile 7.1 this year and maybe additional one the following year. We will create multiple Standard Data Objects (e.g. Plant, Company Code, Reservations, ...) which are shared in the first set of transactions and in the future transactions.
    I have heard before to separate out Standard Data Objects from Distribution Models and have two different SWCV.
    Should I have a) one SWCV for all current and future Standard Data Objects and one for the distribution rtules or b) should I separate out common data objects into one SWCV, and all transaction-specific data object each into separate SWCV?
    Just wondering if there are any best practices available for this so that I won't run into problems in the future when we want to add more transactions/data objects?
    Any advise is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    W. Berger

    Hi Siva,
    Thanks for quick reply!!
    I have created say SWCV1 for Dataobjects.
    Now i want to create seperate SWCV2 for defining distribution model.
    How i should proceed..I cannot see the uses option while creating new SWCV2  ( Only option i see is  'backward compatibility checkbox : uses NW04/NW04s MI Application')
    where to check the following which you have mentioned?
    SWCV2 was created and inherited SWCV1 in uses tab of SWCV2.
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Mapping problem of JnlpDownloadServlet from .Jnlp file

    Hello All,
    1. I am trying to run a java web start application, i am using tomcat 5.5.20 server. I am using the JnlpDownloadServlet to use the $$codebase and $$name to dynimically code the path to the jar's and the jnlp file.
    Here is what i have done:
    Here i have a JnlpDownloadServlet in a seperate folder called (D:/apache-tomcat-5.5.20/webapps/online/server1/WEB-INF/lib/jnlp-servlet.jar).
    2. Now i am placing my .jnlp and my application jar's in a seperate folder called *"client1"* (D:/apache-tomcat-5.5.20/webapps/online/client1/)
    I need to have the client1 and server1 folders and i have to map the servlet to the jnlp file, because i want to keep my jars's and the servlet in a seperate folders.
    3. I have the web.xml file in WEB-INF folder.
    4. web.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <web-app>
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name> JnlpDownloadServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>jnlp.sample.servlet.JnlpDownloadServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>JnlpDownloadServlet</servlet-name>
    *<url-pattern>../client1/*.jnlp</url-pattern>* *<!-- /* I am having problem here, i think */ -->*
    </servlet-mapping>
    </web-app>
    Myapp.jnlp:

         <jar href="$$codebase/XXXXX.jar" download="eager"/>
    <nativelib href="$$codebase/XXX.jar" />
    </resources>
    </jnlp>
    While i run the application. i get the following error:

    I need to resolve the mapping issue, because the servlet is not running and the codebase and href variables are not populated.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Peter,
    to use messages of two different SWCVs in a BPM you need to create a based on relationship between the two SWCVs in SLD. BPM restricts object usage to the SWCV in which the BPM itself resides, so to solve your problem go to the SLD content maintenance and select your SWCV of your BPM, click on Usage Dependencies, then select Define Dependencies, choose Installation Time and then the SWCV in which the other objects reside, click save and your done. You might need to reimport the SWCV to the repository to update the relationship there. It is updated as soon as you can see Basis Objects in the SWCV tree.
    best regards
    Christine
