Switching off BSP delta handle.

Hello All,
I want to switch of the <b>delta handler</b> for a BSP page. I have been told that there are 2 delta handlers. One on the server side and another on the client side as a JavaScript optimizer.
Please suggest on how I can switch off the functionality for a particular page.
At the moment I have a page where the unchanged data doesn't flow back to the server because of the delta handler.  This results in incorrect posting of data.
The effort for persisting the values on the server side is very high and hence I would prefer to switch off the delta handler.
Thanks and regards,
Murli Rao

Hello Gregor,
This javascript has to be added in the view in which you want to disable client side delta handling.
This is not a modification to standard. I had a Z view in which I wanted to switch of client side delta handling.
If you want to do that for a standard view then there are two options.
1. Do a modification to standard.
2. Do a controller replacement and when you copy the
view into your own package then you can add the
    javascript.
I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily. If you still have any doubts please feel free to post a new question.
Thanks and regards,
Murli Rao

  • Docu on Delta Handling?

I really like the concept of Delta Handling in BSP Applications, because it avoids the usual "flickering" of the whole page if you only work in one special section of the page.
I tried to look for documentation on this but I couldn't really find any. Can anybody provide a link or something.
I tried to switch on Delta Handling (setting the flag in the controller and adding Delta Handler Blocks) but it seems that it is not activated (how can I tell anyway? Only from the page's source code?).
    Best regards,
    Daniel

Delta Handling is a fickle beast.  Even within the BSP support team at SAP it is supported on a "Best Effort" basis.  That means that if you can't get it to work in your application, their best advice is to turn it off.
I have gotten DH to work in some of my applications.  Sometimes it provides a nice effect and a good performance boost - other times it completly screws things up.
The best information I can give you is - you application must be stateful.  DH only works in IE.  Also you must set the DH flag on the properties of the View and the Controller - from the highest level controller on down.
I'm afraid you won't find much detailed documentation on DH. To know if it is turned on, you usually can peak at the generated source code on the client.  DH source will look VERY different.

  • Brwoser does not refresh for each server event if delta handling is on

I wrote a simple stateful BSP page. When I turn on delta handling(to remove flickering) on the page, page is refreshed only for every other server event. This page contains two table views and I use table view iterator for one of them. How can I force browser refresh for each server event? Browser is IE and version is 5.5.
This problem doesn't exist if turn off delta handling. But I want to stop flickering any how, since users are complaining.

Learning BSP is similar like driving a car. You first need to get a driver's license. So you study a bit, take a test and are ready to drive. Thereafter, flipping that deltaHandling checkbox is like getting into a big plane and trying to fly. It is unfortunately a quantum jump from using BSP to activating the DH system. Which also has a lot of very special constraints, etc.
This was a very special development we did for a big application group inhouse. The first version was good, but did not exactly meet all our expectations. So we redid a lot of the work/concepts. All of this is highly specialized and not documented.
What I could recommend is that you look at BSP application IT05. It should help a little. Otherwise, I am going to ask that you please open an OSS message (please reference this thread!). Then we can look at your application and show you what is to be done. But it is definitely not all moonshine and roses. Our standard answer is "do not use it" when people can not ride this bull. I will add it onto my weblog schedule for some future date.

  • How to switch off the pop-up message in rspcm

    Hi there,
Does anyone know how to switch off the pop-up message in rspcm?
The monitoring user shouldn't get the pop-up below anymore:
„Statusänderung des Requests – Sollen Folge-Events ausgelöst werden?“
The pop-up in english might be
“status change of request - trigger subsequent processing?” or similar
We would like to outsource the process chain monitoring (rspcm) to our operating.
But operating shouldn't deal with the pop-up above and make decisions especially when delta infopackages are involved.
Thanks for your help in advance.
    Regards,
    Wolfgang Smetana

    Elena,
Is the subsequent process defined on success or failure ? if that is not defined - you might come across this message.....

  • Extreme switches off when updating podcasts (too much data?) - the saga

    Issue:
When refreshing podcasts the extreme can actually switch off, the status light on the extreme will switch off and it will not appear in the airport status menu. to recover I have to power cycle the extreme. There is no difference if I download only one podcast or allow for simultaneous downloads at a time. After about 1 or 2 times the extreme will just switch off.
Under this same configuration, my iTunes library has no issue playing back any of the content only podcast refreshing causes the Extreme to shutdown after the specified time.
    Configuration:
Three disks connected to the airport extreme using an unpowered hub by technika. All three disks are powered through their own power supplies and are formatted in HFS+ Extended (Journaled)
You can find a youtube review of the hub here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fihYOsQ1SQ8
iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.5 and all the latest updates. Disk Utility already run on the internal Macintosh HD and there are no errors to report.
Mac is connected wirelessly to the extreme's wifi network using 802.11a (I have yet to get it to connect using 802.11g.
    Workarounds:
Despite the two other disks not being accessed by the mac, as a workaround I conducted two isolation steps.
I removed the other two disks from the hub while keeping the one disk with my iTunes Library connected through the hub, selected podcasts from the left hand side of iTunes and clicked refresh on the lower right corner of the iTunes window to get the latest podcasts to download.
-With the one disk connected to the hub, music playing back and podcasts downloading everything seems fine.
-I am now wondering if it's the hub or a limitation of the extreme or if it's because I am connected using 802.11a.
-Although I didn't finish downloading all the podcasts, I paused all intentionally and switched my mac to 802.11g successfully by changing the radio mode on the extreme to 802.11n only (5GHz) - 802.11b/g
    -relaunched iTunes
    -refreshed podcasts again
-The podcasts all stopped due to an error (sorry for not noting it)
-connected to hard drive directly to the extreme and restarted the extreme for good measure
-airport extreme not visible by mac wirelessly, reset extreme by pressing the button on back of extreme, which didn't do anything for some reason, power-cycled extreme.
-Launched iTunes and refreshed iTunes Library
-I noticed a few things, podcasts stop downloading due to err= -3150 or -3259
-more spinning beach balls in uTunes than usual (disk and network activity are the likely causes.)
-This setup seems flaky at best. Apple does not document this so I don't believe it's directly supported but it would be nice but I can see a lot of caveats beyond what I described.
I don't know if this helps anyone who is trying to do the same but I would say this should be avoided as I don't think the firmware on the extreme can support this, iTunes 10.1 doesn't seem to work well with this setup as there are errors when downloading and it gets a bit sluggish with iTunes experiencing so many disk and network activity issues (beach balls)
Moral of the story, I will go back to connecting my iTunes library disk directly to my mac unless someone has some clever solution or suggestion.
Here are the setting as per Airport Utility in Manual Setup
    Airport Icon>Summary
    Version 7.4.2
Wireless Mode: Create a Wireless Network
    Wireless Security: WPA2 Personal
    Internet Icon>Internet Connection
    Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)
    Disks Icon>Disks
    3 hard drives connected.
Tried with iTunes Library Disk alone connected through the USB hub and directly into the Airport Extreme in an effort to isolate the issue.
    Disk Icon>File Sharing
    Enable File Sharing - on
Secure Shared Disks: With Airport Extreme password
Airport Disk Guest Access: Not allowed

Hi... mine crashes too, but it has to do with erasing a large amount of files.
I got my airport extreme the other day, very excited to be able to plug my 500 gb drive into it so my wife and I can back up our machines using wireless (time machine). I had already had a years worth of backup on the hard drive, and didn't realize that over the base station the way its backed up is different from when the HD is just hooked directly to the computer.
So, well... took forever to do a fresh back up, and then I went to erase my old time machine folder on my drive and every time I would request the delete over the network... crash the airport. I tried several more times, incl just doing a little folder. I ended up having to plug the drive directly into my machine and erasing it that way (over 700,000 files... so, not sure the Airport is designed to handle all that).
This might explain why the time machine works differently over Airport (and Time Capsule?) as the hardware that Apple uses just isn't up to handling large files. Over Airport it creates a disk image which it writes to, somehow, rather than directly writing a large amount of files to the drive. Seems like a work engineering work around to me, otherwise why change the method?
    Cheers.

  • C3-01 switches off, flashes

Hi All! After a month of service my new C3-01 started switching off automatically during conversation or while using Internet or when somebody is ringing me. When I turn it on it flashes black and white with around 1 second frequency and vibrates. Every time I have to wait up to half an hour until it can be switched on properly.
I passed the phone to Nokia Care and after 3 weeks the phone was returned with statement that the problem was resolved, but after a week of use I switches off again.. While the phone was in Care centre the software was updated and some hardware was replaced, but the problem still remains..
Can anyone suggest any solution? Please share if you ever had this problem and resolved it..
    Thank you.

It's possible that the sim card could be the cause. If it's old or defective it could be causing the phone to crash when it's handling SMS or data connections. I suggest trying another sim or ask your network to replace yours.

  • Loose fullscreen when LCD switched off

I wonder if I can get some help with a problem I have please.
I have a Mac Mini, running two 32" LCD displays mirroring the desktop (one main, one secondary, both showing the same desktop), (utilising the two videos outputs that only Mac Minis have, converted to HDMI with adaptors and audio out cabled separately), running a fullscreen movie presentation. Recently upgraded from a Keynote presentation to a quicktime movie (someone thought sound and movies would be more interesting, and Keynote could not handle the movie clip lengths). When it was on Keynote we could switch off the LCDs at night, leave the Mac Mini running, and then switch on again in the morning and the presentation would be still in fullscreen. In quicktime (v 10.0 OS 10.6), if the LCDs are switched off, then on, they loose fullscreen and have to be put back in cmd+F & cmd+L and then the mouse moved to loose the menu bar. I was wondering if there is a fix for this, that would keep quicktime in fullscreen after the LCDs were switched off, either an automator or console script, or some setting I am missing, would quicktime pro help? Any ideas, I am new to movies and quicktime, but not the mac.

    Solve the Issue,
    Shut down the Mac
Remove the Power Cabale (wait for 10 seconds)
Connect the Power Cable and Switch on the Mac using the power button and Press CMD+ALT+P+R together.
Dont leave untill you see a qyuck restart

What To Do If Your iDevice or Computer Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
This link, Re: Help! I misplaced / lost my iPhone 5 today morning in delta Chelsea hotel downtown an I am not able to track it. Please help!, has some good advice regarding your options when your iDevice is lost or stolen.

  • IMac 333Mhz switches off shortly after switching on

I have a selection of old Macs, among them an iMac 333 Mhz tray-loading bondi blue. Whe I switch it on, it gives the chime and then switches off again. I suspect it has to do with the power supply, but I have no way of testing this. Any ideas what could be behind this?

It may be a shorted out flyback transformer. That is a problem with the first four versions (tray loaders) of the iMac. It has been reported here a fair number of times. With my Rev B (233 mhz) I was able to unplug the internal monitor (big multi-connector plug) and it booted all the way. Of course I couldn't see anything that way but it did confirm the fly back short. Those models don't handle heat well and tend to burn out after 4 or 5 years. After that I bought a PC monitor and adapter plug and am able to get some further use out of the old iMac.

  • IMac keeps freezing / switching off

    Hi all,
I have an IMac 2Ghz Intel Core 2 duo 3 gb 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM Mac OS X version 10.7.5
I inherited this from bro in law and I'm a relative novice (I basically google everything).
It keeps freezing and sometimes switching off quite often.
It happens mainly when I'm using iPhoto - I have checked the activity monitor and iPhoto shows over 100% even when idle.
I have lots of photos, films, videos on a 2TB external hard drive which IPhoto and iTunes is setup to.
Any suggestions or have I just got too much stuff for the computer to handle - 3/4 of the hard drive is used?
    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time after  you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

  • Macbook switch off without any reason...

    hi there!
maybe that question was asked before and then sorry for this but my bad english don't allow me to look easily for older topics.
    so here is the problem:
my macbook (10.8.5) often switch off even if i'm 70% charged (or more) if i'm not plugged. Then i can't put it on if i don't plug the macbook before.
i first thought that the battery was in bad ealth, but it's not (one and half year old, more than 75% of lifetime according to "coconut battery" software.)
I secondly thought that the processor was overheating, but by checking it's temperature, i know its not.
i heard that there was the same kind of problems on the 10.4.8 version generated by a kind of problem of transmission inside the computer (not sure exactly) and apple published a software whitch resolved that stuff. i got it but as it was for an older version, my macbook doesn't take it.
Do you know if there is a newer version of that software?
here is a link of the old one: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1599?viewlocale=en_US
maybe this is another problem, but i hope not and i wish you can help me.
thanks for reading me (and i hope understanding me!)

    Two readings concern me:
full charge capacity (mAh) : 3078
    cycle count : 465
That is a very low full-charge capacity, and a very high cycle count. When batteries get older, and their cycle counts get higher, they can report incorrect information to the system about, for example, how much charge is left. Batteries can also become less stable and less able to handle fluctuations in power demands. Apple usually states that their batteries should offer good performance for 300 cycles, and you have gotten many more than that.
I suspect you need a new battery.

  • How to switch off automatic creation of the business partner?

    Hello!
Advise please why in erp after creation of the customer automatically form business partner? How to switch off automatic creation of the business partner? It very much disturbs, because business partner are created from crm. Because of automatic creation business partners are duplicated.

    Hi,
I have made the following customizing settings to activate customer integration with business partner, but the problem is when I create a BP with a role (FI-Customer) the customer is not created automatically.
    1. Set BP Role Category for Direction BP to Customer
Roles: FLCU00 - Business Partner FI Customer (FS: BP)
FLCU01 - Business Partner Customer (FS: BP)
    2. Defined the Number assignment for Direction BP to customer
    4. Customer account group and numbering is also defined.
    3. Created a BP with BP Role FLCU00, I can see the Customer - General Data tab, but no customer was automatically generated by the system.
Kindly let me know if any customizing I have missed.
    Regards

  • Is there a way to switch off by default the video on FaceTime? I only ever use this app for audio/calls and hate the video being on. I especially hate that if I leave the app open to receive calls it means the camera and green light are on.

My issue is that I can't find a way to have the camera switched off when the app is open and so this means if I want the app open all day to receive calls then the camera is going to be on the whole time. Even if it didn't potentially drain the battery, or add to the CPU usage or whatever else may cause any problems whatsoever (wheel of death!), I just don't want the camera on as I don't see myself ever wanting to use the video call feature but I would use the audio/call multiple times throughout the day to make and receive calls. The camera being on when the app is open is enough to prevent me from using the app. Also ever since seeing that episode of criminal minds where if you saw the green light on above the screen then it meant the killer was watching you!
Basically I just can't believe there isn't a way to disable the camera whilst having the app running. I know when initiating an audio call the camera goes away, but I would like the camera away the whole time. To me it just would make sense that if you click the video option then the camera is on, and if you click the audio option then the camera goes off. It just seems waaaaay to basic a thought for apple to have missed... Let's face it, we're not all as pretty as the people in the apple adverts and don't want to see our ugly mugs staring back as us when we work all day at our macs!

I have exactly the same concern. It seems it would be a simple fix for Apple to allow users to turn off the camera (and even the mic) while keeping FaceTime open -- especially now that it turns out FaceTime must remain open in order to send and receive iPhone calls on a Mac.
I like to think this new functionality of FaceTime will be baked into a future release of Yosemite, as the current setup has that not-quite-finished feel of a work in progress. In the meantime, there's nothing like a little piece of Post-It stuck over the camera to keep the NSA from watching your face as you type a post to the Apple Support Communities.
