SWU3 GP related steps

Hi experts,
I noticed that in SWU3 : Automatic workflow customizing, there are steps related with GP, i dont know how to fill the first one : maintain GP gateway, the documentation is hard to understand , could you pls give me some hints how to fill out the following fields:
RFC Destination
Gateway host name
TCP service Path name
also i want to know what those parameters are for? what will happen if i dont maintain them.
thanks and best regard.
zj

Hi Jun,
You do not need to care about this if you are running with the standard configuration. This is only used when GP is running on the Business Workflow. These parameters are used to enable the communication between GP on the Java Stack and the BWF on the ABAP Stack.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
David

  • TCS related steps in SAP

    Dear Sir,
We have configured TCS functionality as per SAP Note 1168591 .
We are not aware of  about the complete cycle steps to be followed in SAP for addressing the complete processing of TCS (ie right from TCS charging in the Invoice till the Certificate Issuing ) .
I request SAP gurus to kindly guide about the various steps to be followed for this please .

  • BPF configuration: parallel and dependent steps

    Hi all,
I have a BPF of let say 5 steps regarding 5 input form.
step 1 is the main step and inputted by budget team.It is the rates input form.
step 2 is the sales volume step and depend on step 1 (like other steps) inputted by sales team.
step 3 is the sales discount step and depend on step 1 -2 inputted by budget team.
step 4 is the cost step depend on step 1-2 and can be performed regardless of step 3 and inputted by finance team.
step 5 is the distribution of costs to sales cube to see the profitableness and depend on step 1-2-4 .
As you see there are both parallel and related steps.Of course there are many other steps but they are similar so I summarized them as 5 steps.
Note that sales cube consists of sales  group and cost cube consists of cost center( candidates for drive dimension)
Let me depict the scheme  for that:
I could not achieve this by creating steps of openning criteria as "matched " or creating more than 1 template and instance. I want to know whether it is possible or there is a workaround.

I am joking Güneş Of course I have an idea. First of all, i have some question about your modelling.
If you will make these activities in same model, it is possible.
1- all or matched it does not matter
    2- matched
    4- matched
    5 - all
    3 - matched
    i hope, it will work.
    Good luck bro

  • Maintain Structure Relations - LSMW - IDOC method

    Hi,
Trying to use LSMW Idoc method to upload BP masters.
Have maintained the ports, partner types, message types etc. When I reach the "Maintain structure relationship" step, I have a very big tree structure under EDI_DC40 when am trying to maintain the structure relationship between the source and the target in LSMW idoc method.
Do I need to maintain my relationship at all the levels of the tree structure under EDI_DC40 or can I choose the nodes that are relevant and maintain a relationship only for them?
Is there a short cut or a way where I can maintain relationship for each node under the target strucute EDI_DC40.
    Appreciate your inputs.
    SK

    Hi SK,
There is no need to maintain EDI_DC40.
In 'Maintain Structure Relations' step, you just need to create Relationship for the structure you want the information be uploaded in the BP. Mapping of the fields in the structure to your upload file's values will be done in next step. Hope the above helps

  • LSMW Step 5 problem

    Hi all,
In LSMW, for the 5th step, ie Maintain field mapping, I am not getting any fields.
Normally we get the set of fields and then we do the mapping. Please let me know what wrong i am doing.
    Thanks,
    Salil

If you maintain structure relation(Step 4) then you will get it.
just assign source structure to target structure.
    Thanks

  • LSMW - Maintaining structure relations

I am trying to upload customer records using LSMW. There are two source structures (one for customer header and the other for customer-contactingperson which is item level). I completed first three steps. I am stuck at 'Maintain structure relations' step. How do we assign the structures here?
There are lot of things like BKNA1, BKNB1, BKNBK..so on but I am kind of clueless to which source structures I have to assign these target structures. Can you please help with this or are there any general rules here to go through this step with out any errors?
    Thank you very much.

In my header structure, I have following fields:
Customer Number     Name     Street     City     Zipcode     Country     Language     TelephoneNumber
In my contact structure (which is item level), I have the following fields:
CustomerNumber     LastName     FirstName     FormofAddress     Department     Position     TelephoneNumberContact
From 'Migrating your SAP data' (book from SAP press), I see that they
    - assigned source header structure to BGR00, BKN00, BKNA1 and BKNB1.
    - assigned souce contact structure to BKNVK.
It is clear to me that we have to assign the header data to all required structures (which came up as BGR00, BKN00 and BKNA1 in my example). But how do I know that I also have to assign it to BKNB1?
If you can help with this question, my problem is solved.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Lsmw Step by step procedure

    Hi Abap Gurus,
I very new to abap and this site.
Can any body provide the  step by step procedure in lsmw.
I can give points to good answers.

    Hi rangamma,
can U go through this info.
Step-by-Step Guide for using LSMW to Update Customer Master Records
Note! The screenprints in this article are from IDES Release 4.6. They may differ slightly in other versions.
Call Legacy System Migration Workbench by entering transaction code LSMW. Every conversion task is grouped together as Project / Subproject / Object structure. Create a Project called LSMW_DEMO and a Subproject as CUSTOMERS and Object as CUST_REC as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1                Conversion Task with Project, Subproject and Object
The main screen of LSMW provides wizard-like step-by-step tasks, as shown in Figure 2. To complete your data conversion, you need to execute these steps in sequence. Once a step is executed, the cursor is automatically positioned to the next step.
Note that these steps may look different depending upon your Personal menu settings. You could make step numbers visible by ‘Numbers on’ icon or hidden by ‘Numbers off’ icon. You can execute a step by double-clicking on the row. Toggle icon ‘Doubleclick=Display’ or ‘Doubleclick=Edit’, makes the step in ‘display’ mode or ‘change’ mode.
Figure 2 LSMW Wizard – initial screen
    Step 1: Maintain Object attributes
In this example, you will be updating the customer master records with the help of recording a transaction (XD02). Choose radio button Batch Input Recording and click on the recording overview icon to record the R/3 transaction. Enter the Recording name as XD02_REC, the description as Customer Master Updates Recording, and the transaction code as XD02.
Figure 3                Object type ‘Transaction Recording’
The system calls the transaction code XD02 and prompts you to complete the Change
Customer transaction, as shown in Figure 4. Enter the key customer information (I entered customer number 1000, sales organization 1000, distribution channel 01, and division 00) and choose ‘Sales’ view within ‘Sales area data’. Make changes to these three fields (I entered, sales office 1010, sales group 110, and customer group 01) and save the transaction.
Figure 4                Transaction recording for Transaction Code ‘XD02’
Once the transaction is completed, R/3 records the flow of screens and fields and saves the information, as shown in Figure 5.
    Default Values
    Field Names
    Figure 5                Transaction recording overview
Note that the fields are populated with default values. The values you entered when you recorded the transaction are set by default.
Note that if you have more fields in the recording than needed, you can remove them by clicking ‘Remove Screen field’ icon.
Observe that the transaction-recording process stores field names in a technical format. By pressing the F1 key on individual screen fields and then pressing the F9 key, the system displays technical names. You then can replace the technical names with descriptive names. Double-click on the field RF02D-KUNNR and enter the name as KUNNR and the description as Customer Account Number and remove the default value. (See Figure 6.)
    Figure 6                Field attributes
Similarly, double-click on all other fields with default values and make appropriate changes. Once you have made changes, the recording overview screen looks like what you see in Figure 7.
Figure 7                Transaction Recording Overview – with screen field attributes
Save your changes. When you go back to the initial screen, you will see that the initial screen steps have changed. Since you want to import data via the BDC method, the Direct Input and IDoc-related steps are hidden, as they are not relevant.
    Step 2. Maintain Source Structures
Give a name and a description to the source structure (Figure 8).
    Figure 8                Source Structure
    Step 3. Maintain Source Fields
In this step, you need to list what fields are present in the source structure. The easiest way is to click on ‘Table Maintenance’ icon to enter Fieldname, Type and Length for each field  as shown in Figure 9.
Figure 9                Source fields of source Structure
Note that your input file will have four fields as key fields and you need to update three fields in the system.
    Step 4: Maintain Structure Relations
Execute a step to ‘Maintain Structure Relations’. (See Figure 10.) Since, there is only one Source and Target Structure, the relationship is defaulted automatically.
    Figure 10  Structure Relation
Step 5: Maintain field mapping and conversion rules
Field RF02D-D0310 represents that you chose ‘Sales view’ for the customer Master screen accordingly its value should be set to X. Keep your cursor on field RF02D-D0310 and click on Constant rule icon to choose the constant value of ‘X’.
If your source file already has the field value, you choose rule ‘Source Field’.
Keep cursor on field ‘KUNNR’ and click on ‘Assign Source field’ icon to choose source field CUSTOMER from structure XD02S as shown in Figure 11.
    Figure 11 Assign source fields
Similarly, assign ‘Source Field’ rules to the remaining fields.
Once all the fields are mapped, you should have an overview screen as shown in Figure 12.
Figure 12 Field mapping and Conversion rules overview
Step 6: Maintain fixed values, translations, user-defined routines
You can also maintain re-usable translations and user-defined routines, which can be used across conversion tasks. In this case, that step is not required.
    Step 7: Specify files
In this step, we define how the layout of the input file is. The input file is a [Tab] delimited with the first row as field names. It is present on my PC (local drive) as C:\XD02.txt. (See Figure 13.)
    figure 13 File attributes
Create an Excel file (Figure 14) with your data and save it as a Tab-delimited text file on your local drive (C:\) and name it XD02.txt.
Figure 14  Source data in Excel file (saved as Tab delimited file)
    Step 8: Assign files
Execute step ‘Assign Files’ (Figure 15) and the system automatically defaults the filename to the source structure.
Figure 15 Assign file to Source Structure
    Step 9: Read data
In this step, LSMW reads the data (Figure 16) from the source file (from your PC’s local drive). You have the option to read only selected rows and convert data values to Internal format.
    Figure 16 Read Data
    Step 10: Display read data
This step (Figure 17) is optional. If required, you can review the field contents for the rows of data read.
    Figure 17 Display Read Data
    Step 11: Convert data
This is the step that actually converts the source data (in source format) to a target format. Based on the conversion rules defined, source fields are mapped to target fields.
    Step 12: Display Converted data
Again this is an optional step to view how the source data is converted to internal SAP format (Figure 18).
    Figure 18 Display Converted Data
Step 13: Create batch input session
Once the source data is converted in an internal format, you can create a batch session to process updates (Figure 19).
Figure 19 Create Batch Input Session
Step 14: Run Batch Input Session
You can execute the BDC session by Run Batch input session. Executing a batch input session is a standard SM35 transaction for managing BDC sessions. Once you have successfully executed the batch input session, the customer master records are updated in the system. You can confirm this by viewing the customer master records (XD03).
Note! Browsing thru these 14 steps, you may get a feeling that this is a very lengthy and time-consuming activity. However, for the purposes of demonstration, I have made it detailed. Although it looks lengthy, actually it takes hardly few hours from start-to-finish! After playing around with few simple LSMW scripts, you will find it so easy to change and create more complex ones.

  • Video Purchased from iTunes won't play on iPhone 3G

I am using a 3G iPhone, and have been able to synchronize all of my music and videos successfully to the iPhone up until now. Here is the problem, and related steps/issues:
    1. I have the series, Mad Men, purchased on iTunes. The episodes appear perfectly on my iPhone. (Note: I also have several of my own videos uploaded to my iPhone, and they play just fine).
    2. When I choose an episode to watch on the iPhone, I get the following message:
"This movie could not be played."
    3. The same message appears for EVERY episode I have.
    4. The episodes play perfectly on iTunes, with no problems.
    5. My music is synced perfectly, and plays perfectly. Most of the music on my iPhone was purchased on iTunes as well.
I can't find any explanation or solution as to why this is suddenly happening, with no way to resolve this.
    RW

OK, so I just went synchronized another video that was purchased on iTunes. The same exact message appears when I attempt to play the video.
The bizarre part here is that the videos I have made play absolutely fine; in other words, videos NOT purchased on iTunes are playing fine.
Also, the problem was encountered yesterday. I was able to view the videos; a few hours later, when I went back to watch the videos, the problem started then.

  • Help me - iPod Shuffle 4th gen is probably dead - red light for 5 seconds

    Hello,
sorry for my bad english. I hope you can help me.
I have iPod Shuffle 4th gen. I have it for one year. When I today tried to charge it, after connected to my PC (in the right USB port) I heard sound of connecting device but in Windows in My Computer nothing happened. On the iPod the diode emitted the red light for 5 seconds and then turned off. I have iTunes and iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod too.
Does anybody know what is wrong?
    Thanks

    Hey StatistaXS,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like your iPod shuffle may have had a very low charge when connecting to your computer:

  • Need help sync'ing iPod Touch (not authorized error)

I have an iPod Touch (about year old not sure if 4th or 5th Gen), iOS 8.1.2.  I used to be able to sync everything fine with Windows ITunes on my old desktop, but when I got a new desktop I can't sync (more precisely I can't "Apply" updates to apps).  When I go to the device's Apps tab on the left of ITunes interface, I click the "UPDATE" button on an app (Temple Run 2), it changes to "Will Update", then I click "Apply".  During the sync it says
"The iPod "name" could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are not on this iPod.  To authorize this computer fro items purchased from the ITunes Store, choose Store>Authorize This Computer."
I know this question has been asked by others, and I've tried many things including deauthorizing and reauthorizing, going into hidden files and deleting the SC Data folder, signing in with another of my ITunes accounts, using the "Manage Deivces" section of My Account, etc.  None of it works. (Note: In Manage Devices, I see the iPod in question, but I renamed recently and it still shows as the old name in "ITunes Manage Devices" - I am afraid to delete it and add it back under the new name because I don't know what good or bad would happen if I do)
So, is there another idea out there?  I would do a hard reset on the iPod, but I am afraid I;ll lose all the data for each app, especially game progress.
    Any ideas to troubleshoot this?
    Thank you,
    Mike

Yes, thanks, that's one of the first things I went through.  Did all the Windows-related steps there and still have the same problem.

    Thanks.

I ran into this same problem after I performed the steps in the enterprise deployment guide. One of the steps in Chapter 5, section 5.4.4 has you separate the bi_server1 managed server from the admin server into its own "mserver" directory structure by using the pack.sh and unpack.sh commands. This step appears to cause the problem. For now, what I have done is perform a complete reinstall and skip this step along with any other clustering related steps. Once I did this, I was able to run the upgrade assistant to upgrade the 10g repository to 11g.
I have informed Oracle support about this issue. If they have a better work around, I will post it back here at a later date.

  • Issue with scanners beeping on over picking material code

    Hi ,
I have an issue with scanner beeping.User is working is Z tcode .
    The followings are related steps.
(1)If the user does over-picking the material code , an “information” window like below is displayed, however, no beep sound is produced.
Information. Material code, ABC!@#% already updated for Delivery 1ASEDFD.
(2)Since the user has heard no beep sound, the user is unaware of the over-picking and scans the next item.
(3)Then, in case of XP PC, a louder noise, a kind of buzzer is generated, while in with Windows 7 PC, a small noise, a kind of chime is made.
(4)With Windows 7 PC, due to the small sound, the user continues the next step, being unaware of the over-picking. This has a risk of causing errors at the shipment: eventually, it impacts customers.
The requirement is beep sound will be heard on over-picking also.
    Please suggest in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Harsh

    Hi Harshavarddan,
there is some example on forum for generating beep sound with the use of the OLE Objects:
    Try this code:
    TYPE-POOLS: ole2.
    DATA: return  TYPE i,
           sapinfo TYPE ole2_object.
    DATA: BEGIN OF command,
             command(12) TYPE c VALUE 'cmd /c echo ',

  • LSMW - Direct Input for XD01 transaction

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an error while doing the LSMW - using batch Input session. In the last step of LSMW.. while running batch input session, i faced an error "Function code cannot be selected" this error is coming because the Function code(OK Code) of that screen is "KNZA".
the problem is that how can i change the OK code (function code) in the standard program. or is there any other way for solving this problem...
    please help me out....

    Hi
I feel the problem is with the Sturcture relations step. Are you mapping the below structure?
BKNZA   Customer Master Record Altern.Payer (Batch Input Structure) -
Ensure that for all the structures you are mapping here.. you need to provide elements in field mappings. Otherwise it may lead to such errors.
Try to check all the steps once again and then generate the program again and check.

  • Lightroom Metadata editing and workflow is tedious nightmare!

I'm new to Lightroom in just the past month, but have used it enough to see that a serious interface problem makes Lightroom version 1x virtually unusable in a deadline-oriented publishing workflow. Lightroom's Metadata editing and workflow is just a terrible nightmare, and far too tedious and slow. It appears to be an afterthought implemented by good-hearted souls who've never had to edit this sort of information under serious deadline pressures. I know Lightroom is marketed as an image database and not a file browser, but we're all looking to simplify our workflow here and with just a few subtle enhancements, Lightroom could be an excellent file browser and file import manager too.
As it is now, the Lightroom v1x handling of File Naming and Renaming, Metadata Editing and Keyword Editing is poorly implemented and in need of an immediate overhaul to help professional photographers expedite this crucial and time-consuming first step in the archiving workflow. While Lightroom is very good at many other tasks, I give it a big fat "F" of a failing grade for these tasks.
First, the Lightroom Library Module needs an even more simple, linear interface that steps users through a precise procedures (and helps them remember them). Arguably, to accomplish this, the Import function may need to become a separate Module that can be selected and used separately before entering the Library. As File Naming and Renaming, Metadata Editing and Keyword Editing currently are implemented, I, for one, am always forgetting to fill out one of these critical sections and can't even seem to remember that some may need to be done before importing while others appear to be conceived to be done after importing. My point is, all these related steps really need to be done together, but the Interface spreads out the functions too much, and it is nearly impossible to build a logical and linear Import workflow, especially when you are first learning Lightroom.
I'd like to see a workflow that walks me through applying and editing (in order), File Naming, Basic and IPTC Metadata, Captioning and Keywords, so that I don't always forget some obscure step in the process (which I keep doing). Here are some specific suggestions, some of which may prove to be valid, some of which may be problems due to my lack of experience with thye software.
    1. As currently implemented, Metadata editing requires too much thought, and does not have enough intelligent automation. Eliminate as much typing as possible (See Photo Mechanic!)
    2. Lightroom needs better Metadata Presets. A "Quick Edit" view to simplify interface for editing minimal metadata info (File Name, Basic Info, Keywords, Headline, Limited Copyright Info).
    3. Separating Keyword Tags, Metadata Browser, Keywording Presets and Metadata Presets confuses the workflow. They should all appear together under one selectable module that organizes a suggested, linear workflowfor these tasks, but allows it to be customized. This is the sort of tasks that need to be learned by rote memory, and having all these panes floating around on both sides of the photo make it impossible to quickly step through these tasks.
    - Name (or Rename) files, Edit/Apply Basic and IPTC Metadata, Edit/Apply Keywords, Import or...
    - Import, Name (or Rename) files, Edit/Apply Basic and IPTC Metadata, Edit/Apply Keywords, Import
    4. Rename should offer the option of renaming the master file names on the disk, not just file names in the database (which I think is what Lightroom does, but again, this is very confusing for new users)! So, it is my belief that this feature needs a checkbox option to rename one, the other or both. But you need to be able to quickly find this dialog box every time you do an import, and it should not be hidden away out of view under the Library menu. Ideally and logically (for workflow), File Renaming should be handled when starting the Import into Lightroom.
This is critically important because many user

Lightroom metadata editing Part 2 (see Part 1 at top of thread)...
...This is critically important because many users just do not want to trust their images solely to any database and we want the ability to go look for master files with identical names should something go wrong with the software or we decide to edit the file in Photoshop outside of Lightroom or even switch to another library software program.
My own habit is to rename every file with the date followed by a unique, three-digit file number, as in 20070717_001, 20070717_002...up to 999 etc. (I have never shot more than 999 files in a single day, but this could be a four-digit number). To file these on disk, a folder with a similar naming scheme is created for each day's shoot, although a keyword slug is added to the end instead of file numbers.
    5. Metadata Presets (Basic Info, IPTC metadata, EXIF metadata), Keywords need to be able to toggled on or off (promote/demote-expand/contract). Turning Off/On one section at a time via the Metadata Presets popup menu is too tedious...and you can't display IPTC and Large Caption together or leave Large Caption turned on. It also is difficult to remember where the Large Caption default (Preferences) setting is...
    6. Please get the EXIF data out of the way entirely when editing captions and visa-versa...And the EXIF data should not separate Basic Info and IPTC Info fields. Please relocate the EXIF to the bottom of the Metadata pane...
    7. IPTC Content, IPTC Copyright, IPTC Creator, IPTC Image expand/collapse sections need more automation:
    - The Presets fields need Preset lists of entry choices for cities, states, countries, etc.!
    - ISO Country Code automatically should be filled in when a country is entered.
    - Date created automatically should be filled in from camera EXIF data
    - Metadata Presets "Save As" should fill in old name, and allow you to rename it; (When it appears, the new name field should not be empty. This would aid in consistent, alphabetical naming
    - Metadata Presets naming should support job names, with actual Presets saved under each job name...
    8. IPTC Status EXIF, Contact, etc.
    - Caption field MUST display more than one line...(6-8 lines)!
    - Caption field MUST support Shift/Return!
    - Headline (IPTC Content) should be displayed with (and above) caption. Please present information logically!
    - Yellow popups should describe what each field name is for...some are real brain teasers...
