SXPG_CALL_SYSTEM fails giving NO PERMISSION

Hi!
I am trying to work with the SXPG_CALL_SYSTEM and executing UNIX commands that have been defined in the SAP Standard table SXPGCOTABE.
I get the exception NO PERMISSION while working with the above FM in one of the SAP instances, while in the other SAP instance everything works well.
Any idea as to what could be the root cause behind it.

Hi Shyam,
There could be couple of reasons you are getting that error. Either you dont have permissions at unix level tto perform some specific operations or your unix script might be trying to write some file or backup some file which may not have full write permission.
Login to Unix system and check the write access of the file or the permissions you have. this Will give you some pointers. Hope this helps

Giving List Permission to users with no access to the main site

On my sub site I have a list (where users from a specific store can report errors). This list I want to share with another group of users, those who will do something about the errors (entrepreneurs). I want them to be able to Edit in this list: they don't
need delete and create items, just being able to change an item is fine.
The problem is, I don't want them to have access to the sub site itself, because there is information on the sub site that they don't need to know about, they should only see this list. So they don't have any access at all to the sub site, but I'm giving
them permission to the list.
However, it seems like since they can't access the sub site, no matter what permission I give them to the list (Edit, Contribute, Full Control), in the end they only have Reading-access to the list and can't even update an item.
This error message turns up whenever they try:
"Unable to communicate with server".
The entrepreneur group is external users, but that shouldn't matter, should it? I've added them to SharePoint groups with the right permissions.
Is there any possible way to solve this problem?

Here is the steps you can refer to:
Go to your site ->Site Settings ->Site permissions ->Permission Levels ->Click “Add a Permission Level” and create a custom permission level with following permissions :
Edit Items, View Items, Open Items, View Pages , Open.
Go to your list ->Shared With -> INVITE PEOPLE :
input your group, click “SHOW OPTIONS”
and select the new custom permission level.

Scheuled report failing intermittently With Permission Error

Hello,
A scheduled custom report fails some days. The user has permission to both run and schedule the report. There is no problem to view the reports neither to set up the schedule. And the schedule often runs ok, just every now and then it fails with following error.

I have also checked following forum but for that user the failuer is permanent unlike in our case where its random.

I looked into glf file in logs, and it seems that <sid>adm is installing SUM:

I changed the permissions on SAPCAR for everyone to execute and re-starting setup.sh after clearing work directory.

Some 3rd party installs fail giving error message. why?

Some downloaded 3rd party software fail to install, giving an error message similar to "file specified when folder required". The last time this happened the error # was 17530. Why does this happen and how to fix it?

It is probably something the 3rd party software is trying to do. What is the software?

Ping db failed but db permission successfull

I am installing community blog (family). When the installer asks for Testing the connection I get "Ping Db failed" where as "Ping Hello Cs" and "Db permission" are successful.

I have faced the same problem, but in my case issue was related to version. In my case i was using Oracle WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.6.0 and i picked community blog family from Oracle WebCenter Sites 11.1.1.6.1.

9IAS Installation Failed giving errors.

I tried to install 9IAS Enterprise Edition(Release : 1.0.2.2.2a) from CD(three)
but all the times getting error as:

I just want to make use of Oracle Report Server Services from this 9IAS.So is
it necessary to install full 9IAS Enterprise Edition.
If only Report server services is to be installed then
A)what all services are required along with report server like for example
WebDB Listener and all?
B)Where should I place my Reports RDF files on this server?
C)What URL I have to pass to call the report from web/browser? like previously

Did you have the Photoshop Beta installed? If yes, then you need to uninstall that one before you can install the trial.
Does your account have sufficient privileges? If not, you might need to log in as Admin.
Run the install again.
If the error recurs, then run CS Cleaner Tool and remove all products.
Reinstalling after that, should resolve the problem. Get the Cleaner tool here: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

I used Instruments (Xcode developer tool) before with no issues but now getting error: "Target failed to run: Permission to debug com.cnn.iphone was denied.The app must be signed with a development identity (e.g. iOS Developer)". How to fix it?

I have used this tool before to analyze any application, such as CNN, in the past. But it is not working anymore and giving same error for all applications. Please advise.

The application (one wants to run instruments libraries on) has to be in running state and then select from the 'Running Applications' category and not from the 'Installed Apps' category and that should work.

Installation failing, giving error code 7, disabled the firewall and anti virus and rebooted the machine. Still getting error code 7. HELP

SSIS 2012 package runs under SSDT but fails with permission error from SSMS

I have a simple package that pulls data from a text file located on a Windows file server that runs successfully from SSDT on my client.
However, when deployed and running the package via SSMS from the client, the package fails with a permission error, with the error stating that the data file could not be opened.
I have done some investigation and have seen some info that states that a package run from SSMS runs under the account on which you are logged on to the machine, which I would have thought is correct. This is therefore the same account when running from
SSDT (which works) and I can see from the SSIS Report that the 'Caller' is stated as my account, so if this is the case why isin't the package working.
I've also seen an MSDN forum answer which stated the opposite that the package when run from the IS Catalog in SSMS doesn't run under the account on which the client is logged on with, which is the opposite of the above, but doesn't indicate which account
it is using.
So what account is being used to run SSIS 2012 packages from the IS catalog from within SSMS ?
If it is the account on which you are logged onto the client running SSMS, why is it not working when the account has the necessary permissions (as provent when running from SSDT) ?

I am aware it's using my account and not one of the service. There's nothing in the posts above which suggests I'm using the service account. I don't know why people keep assuming that I'm running the package from a job. I've never stated that in any of
the posts I'm running the package from a job. It's been made quite clear I'm running the package from the IS Catalog on SSMS:
"This is simply selecting a package from the IS Catalog, right-clicking and selecting Execute package.", as per the Nov 18 post, and in the original post "....So what account is being used to run SSIS 2012 packages from the IS catalog from
within SSMS".
Just to be clear, the package is NOT being run from a job. It's using the Execute package option when selecting the package within SSMS from the IS Catalog and it's running under the account on which I am logged on to my client.
Please read carefully. I was just answering your question "So what account is being used to run SSIS 2012 packages from the IS catalog from within SSMS ?" and stating that you where right and that it uses your account to run the package
when you execute a package manually from the Catalog and that you can prove that by logging the system variable.
A good suggestion about using a share in the task to map the drive and I will try this. I would find it strange that SSMS requires this mapping whereas SSDT does not though.
Ok let us know your findings. If it doesn't work you can also test it with a password and username:
net use f: \\financial\public yourpassword /user:username

Worker patch fail

I am running RUP6 patch on R12 apps on Unix platform.
After running patch R12.AD.A.delta.6 successfully, i ran 6728000 an in the middle of that, a worker failed giving
ATTENTION: All workers either have failed or are waiting:
FAILED: file gcsxdrun.sql on worker 3.

what should be done?
how to fiz it?

Well i checked it it has enough space but it is pointing to /var/tmp
which also has enough space.
the /var/tmp has 777 permission but the underlying files don't.
there is actually no o0015158.tmp file which it is trying to create.
help?

Can't upgrade to CS6 Standard from CS5.5 Premium - Error: Failed CopyDirectory

I just downloaded CS6 Design Standard as an upgrade from CS5.5 Design Premium. The CS5.5 DP software was on another machine with a hard drive that crashed two weeks ago and is unrecoverable. I have all of the necessary serial numbers.
Please help! I need my CS6 installed and ready for my job at an ad agency!

You can try giving the full permission to the Adobe folder at the below mentioned location
/Library/Application Support/Adobe
To give the permission just go to this location and right click on the Adobe folder -->click on get info--->in the new window under you will find 'Sharing and permission'--->please add your Mac user name to the list and give the read and write permission

Room Inventory Report - failed -Report stopping because of ReadOnly mode

Hi All,
I'm trying to run the Room Inventory Report (content Admin -> KM Content-> Toolbox -> Report -> Room Inventory Report ) to get more info on the Rooms. Currently there are more than 500 rooms and when i run the report after 30 mins i'm getting the result as "Report stopping because of ReadOnly mode" . I have tried giving full permission to my user id to the rooms folder and also to the reporting folder where the file is supposed to come. This has worked in past say 2 years before but now i'm getting this failed message.
Pls. suggest your inputs for this error.

I had similar problem and creating symbolic link and then giving suitable permission resolved the error.
[root@tmgeorge-idc db10g]# ln -s /usr/lib/libgdbm.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib/libdb.so.2
[root@tmgeorge-idc db10g]# chmod 755 /usr/lib/libgdbm.so.2.0.0
[root@tmgeorge-idc db10g]# chmod 755 /usr/lib/libdb.so.2
Again retry installation process.It will go through

System Image Fails on Windows 8.1 Pro

Creating an image fails giving the error message shown in the attachment. I found that the Virtual Disk and Volume Shadow Copy services were set to manual so I started them and changed startup to automatic. The failure remains as shown. Then, I rebooted and again got the same error message. It fails when using an external hard drive or DVDs
Has anyone experienced something similar when attempting to create an image and managed to overcome it?

I attempted to install the suggested update, but it would not install as I have recently installed 8.1. I am beginning to suspect that the problem lies in the 8.1 package in that it needs a specific update similar to the one for 8. I examined source and destination drives in disk manager and found that the free space is not the issue. All free space greatly exceeds the minimum levels. I also checked usn journal size and that is not an issue either. It might be wise to wait for a bit to see if upcoming updates will fix the problem. My last successful update was last week when I still had Windows 8. I have backup imaging set every Wednesday.
