Sync Bookmarks, Passwords, Tabs, History with iPad (encrypted)

I want my passwords, bookmarks, tabs and history to synchronize with my iPad in an end-to-end-encrypted fashion. Are there currently any possibilities for this with Firefox? The current unsatisfactory options I know of are:

An app mentioned by a previous question. Apparently developed by a Mozilla developer based on Firefox Sync's code, so it should be trustable. Doesn't seem to cover passwords and even if it did it wouldn't be able to provide autofill.

Dolphin used to provide synchronization with Firefox sync, but currently both Dolphin and Mercury use Desktop addons for synchronization. I couldn't find any information regarding encryption, but I'm pretty certain that these addon approaches undermine Firefox Sync's end-to-end encryption. For dolphin connect I could find a review saying that you have to specify a separate password for password synchronization, but overall the zero-knowledge approach is still undermined.
=== 3. iCloud addon ===
Basically the same issues as with (2) and no password synchronization.

Apple's restrictions prevent us from bringing the current version of Firefox to iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch). We are researching new ways to make Firefox for iOS but there are no definite plans for a release at this time.

I mistakenly uninstalled firefox after getting a double version of 15.0 on my computer..after redownloading it .. I lost ALL my bookmarks, passwords, tabs. HELP

Like i earlier stated .. after my update of the latest firefox [15.0.1] i found two of thesame versions of it on my program features so i decided to delete one. unluckily for my it cleaned out both and after reinstalling firefox i realised all my TAB folders, bookmarks, passwords and history was gone. this is very fustrating for me because most of the passwords are very important aswell as the links i bookmarked.
Any help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated or a number of a support team i could call for assistance?

For starters i'm taken aback at the fact that there's no live or call support.
All this from a bug that could so easily have been avoided.
Its obvious that i chose remove personal data but i thought it would only remove the older version. And i have read ALL the older posts about this problem .. even downloaded recuva and did a DEEP scan of 5hrs atleast 3 times but each time i recieved the message below 'ran out of memory'

- I clicked cancel after like 3 hours of the deep scan and got a lot of file displays some firefox profiles too. When i did a normal scan of like a minute, some files did display but instead of like excellent most say unrecoverable.
# I REALLY wish there was a step by step on which drives or folders [eg. documents] hold those files to narrow the search. HOW DO I KNOW WHERE TO SEARCH.
# What name files i need to recover and when i recover where to save them?
# How to sync them back with my browser and make a backup

How can I update an already saved "bookmark all tabs" group with a current group of tabs? Or add only the changes??

Example of problem:
I have already saved a group of tabs using the "bookmark all tabs" feature.
I open that group of tabs in a new browser window.
Then I modify that group of tabs that I have open, adding new ones, removing old ones.
How can I replace the existing tab group with the new tabs?
Is there an option to just add the new ones that I have opened and keep all the others even if I have removed some of the old ones from the currently opened group?
...another issue: can I share bookmarks online? What are the options for this?

You can't do that.<br />
Each time you use "Bookmark All Tabs" a new folder is created, even if you give the folder the same name, so you will have to do any merging yourself in the Bookmarks Manager or just create a new group and discard (delete) the previous group.
If you want to share bookmarks online then you need to use a web based service that offers such a feature like Delicious.

Since update to iOS 8 and iTunes 11.4 no sync to iPhone BUT works with iPad!

Strange behavior: Since update no sync with iPhone but no problem with iPad mini!
iPhone sync stucks on "waiiting to use the changes" (not sure about the correct transation from german).
Makes me crazy! I tried sync with cable, WiFi and every hint I found in Internet.
This time, Apple screwed it pretty good! Thanks!
Mac OS Mavericks 10.9.4

I've had this same issue. I just updated to iOS 8.0.2 but the problem was not a fix in the release. I do have a legacy machine, a MacMini, which may be the issue, but she's still a great little work horse. Runs like a champ. Here are what I think may be the relevant lines from my log. Any ideas?

How do I sync the pictures on iPone4 with iPad?

I could see some of the apps were synced such as "Notes", "Contacts" and some others between my iPhone 4 and iPad 4, but not able to see the pictures between the two devices.
Is there any way to share the pictures between the two devices?
Currently I am not home and do not have an access to a PC.

First, you need to enable Photo Stream on both devices. Go to Settings >iCloud and make sure photo stream is turned on.
If the photos are not in your photo stream, you will need to wait until you get to your home computer with iTunes in order to sync.

Can Internet Explorer sync bookmarks, settings and history just like chrome?

Google Chrome provides the ability to install their browser and sign into it to retrieve settings, history and bookmarks. As far as an end user experience, this is great.
I want to user IE across my work servers, my home servers, desktops and laptops; but I do not want to install chrome on any servers and I want to get rid of it (chrome)from my desktops and laptops.
Does IE provide a similar, if not identical-to-chrome functionality in the above context?

I have followed all the guidelines to transfer bookmarks, passwords, and browsing history from the copied Profile Folder. I did a fresh reinstall per directions of FF3.6.8.

In my application the users can change their password,
so I need to compare the entering password in the Current_password field with the Encrypted password in the app_users table,

Syncing bookmarks with Chrome

I use Google's Chrome browser on my PC. I sync my iPhone to that PC. iTunes has a drop down box on the Info page to let you choose the browser to sync bookmarks on the iPhone with. However, the drop down box only lists Internet Explorer. Is there a way to sync the bookmarks in Chrome with my iPhone?

Firefox is not listed on my MBP or my wife's Vista PC...only Safari and Internet Explorer.
One way around it is to use Xmarks, which synchronises your Bookmarks/Favorites up to a central server.
If you work primarily in Firefox, just open Internet Explorer once in a while and let it sync with all of your Firefox bookmarks, then when you sync your iPhone, everything is copied across

Syncing Bookmarks With A different Browser

Is it possible to sync bookmarks on an iphone with the bookmarks of a browser other than Safari on your computer? I have way more bookmarks on my mac's Safari browser than I want or need on my phone, but I also use Firefox on which I have fewer bookmarks many of which I would want on the phone. Is there any way to have the bookmark's sync come from Firefox instead? Right now I have bookmark syncing disabled to avoid loading all the ones I don't want.

I use Delicious on Firefox (Windows Vista), Safari (Mac OS X) and the iPhone - I don't have to worry about losing bookmarks ever again
You should also be able to import bookmarks from Firefox to Safari, and vice versa. You can organise bookmarks into folders to reduce the clutter on mobile Safari's bookmarks page.

Why did i lose all of my sync bookmarks on my computer?

I came back to work on monday and all my bookmarks are gone. Recently synced bookmarks on new computer with old computer. Bookmarks were synced successfully...then i erased everything on old computer. Where are my bookmarks???

You should have disabled Sync on the old PC before deleting the bookmarks on that old PC.

Safari tabs sync with ipad - confidentiality

Hello,
I have set Icloud on the mac to sync through Icloud, in order to sync my favourites with my Ipad.
But, it syncs as well the history and opened tabs...
It is not good at all for confidentiality ! As it is not possible to have sessions on the Ipad, everybody can see what you look at on the Mac !
my wife discovered yesterday the bag I bought for Xmas...very disappointing...

The symptoms you describe are all an intended function of having Safari turned on in your iCloud settings. To prevent this activity from happening you can turn off this feature in the iCloud settings for the device you want to prevent syncing this information to.

Internet Explorer 11 bookmarks not syncing with Ipad/Iphone

Hello. I have an Iphone 5 along with an Ipad Mini. Both are updated to the current IOS 7.1.1. I am using Internet Explorer 11 on my Toshiba Laptop for syncing booksmarks and such through Icloud to my devices.
I am having an issue with the bookmarks on my Toshiba laptop syncing with my Ipad and Iphone. Both my Ipad and Iphone book marks sync together in perfect unison, but my Internet Explorer bookmarks do not sync.
What I have tried:
Shut down/Restart all devices
Turn off safari in Icloud for Ipad/Iphone
Restarted internet application on all devices
Unchecked, then rechecked the box for syncing bookmarks in Icloud
Deleted synced bookmarks on Ipad/Iphone, then re-added them through Icloud
Once I delete the synced bookmarks, the bookmark tab on the Iphone/Ipad are empty, but once I sync them back up, the old bookmarks come through.
My main goal:
I want my Toshiba laptop bookmarks to be the exact same as my Iphone/Ipad bookmarks. I want my Ipad to be the center of attention essentially, followed by the Toshiba laptop and the Iphone, meaning I want the Ipad to be the base for all the bookmarks, then the Iphone and Toshiba laptop can follow suit and take the bookmarks from the Ipad and transfer them to the laptop and Iphone. Currently, I have many of the same bookmarks on both the Toshiba Laptop along with my Iphone/Ipad, but the more recent add`s/deleted on either Iphone/Ipad or Toshiba laptop are not syncing.
Any help is appreciated.

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
