Sync server failed to sync the iPhone - Cannot sync Contacts and Calendar
I can't seem to sync my AddressBook and iCal (and Bookmarks too)to my iPhone. Below is a report from the console:

At first, it said it can't perform the handshake but then later saying there is a missing file (or file with the wrong name?). I've recently updated the security patch, not sure if there's anything to do with this.
Can some one kindly enlighten me what's going on and hopefully shad some light as in what I can do about it.

I've finaly restore my iPhone (and reinstall iTunes).
Everything is working fine. Even though.... I still have the error message in system.log !!!
But everything is OK, including sync with iCal.
iPhone 1.1.3 + Leopard 10.5.2

I didn't lose any calendar since it was all on the computer in Outlook calendar -
I'm trying to sync my iPhone4s, but everytime iTunes tries to sync, I get a message "This iPhone cannot sync because the sync session failed to start." I've tried restoring my phone, and all my software is up to date. It won't sync any of my songs/apps back to my phone. Somebody please help!

I am using IOS 5 on iPad2. I am wondering why couldn't I edit the data in my contacts and calendar data?
Movies are not stored in your iCloud account unless you add them in the theater feature of iMovie version 10.

I'm using Icloud for my contacts and calendar. The contacts on the Icloud will not sync updated to my Iphone and Ipad. My calendar does sync correctly. Why is this happening?
Syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with an iCloud account has nothing to do with syncing with iTunes.
On your iPhone go to Settings > iCloud.
If Contacts is turned on for over the air syncing, turn it off. A warning message and prompt will be provided asking about what to do with the previously synced contacts with iCloud. Select Delete from iPhone. After all contacts are deleted from your iPhone, turn Contacts back on for over the air syncing. After all contacts are downloaded, confirm the contacts on your iPhone match your online contacts with iCloud.
If so, repeat this with your iPad. -
I got an iPhone 5c a little under a month ago, and haven't been able to put music on it since then. iTunes keeps trying to sync contacts and calendars, which I already have in place on the phone (via iCloud). However, when my I plugged my moms brand new 5c up to put music on it, it worked perfectly! I've compared our settings, and everything is the same. Please tell me what to do! I have the latest updates on both devices, and iTunes.
With my fingers crossed I uninstalled the updated iTunes that led to the problem. Then went to the iTunes.com site to download the full version. After the install was finished I connected the iPod and it detected and synced the iPod without any further issues. I don't get the error, Contacts and calendars cannot be synced on the iPod "%1$S", any more.

I set up my iCloud account, moving from MobileMe recently and everything works fine on my Apple devices. The bizarre thing is I can see all my e-mail accounts via iCloud in Outlook but the contacts and calendars are not syncing in Outlook even though the original calendar material came from Outlook (the contacts data is all from the iMac). I've tried all the obvious things and read most of the articles on the Apple Support website. All the relevant boxes are checked on the iCloud dashboard on each device but I just wondered if I was missing something obvious. I'm sure some of you will have had the same expereince and solved it. Two iPhones need separate contacts and calendars
My wife and I both have iPhones and use the same iTunes account and pc but need to keep our contacts and calendars separate. At the moment we seem to have merged both. How do we keep these information files separate?

IOS6 on iPhone 4s deleted contacts and calendar dates
I updated iOS6 on my iPhone 4s and it deleted all my contacts and calendar dates.
I have a 2008 Macbook Pro running 10.5.8 Leopard and iTunes 10.6
I plugged in my phone after realizing all my contacts and dates were deleted. iTunes popped up and said that my iPhone was not compatible with it and I needed to download iTunes 10.6.3 or later.
Since I am running 10.5.8 Leopard, I can't download iTunes 10.7 (which I think is the only thing I can download currently off of Apple).
Does anyone have a solution for me on how to get my contacts and dates back?

I too have had everything wiped off my phone when updating to iOS 6. Never had this problem before and was not clearly informed that the phone may get wiped (sure, there was an essay to read but, like most people, just clicked confirm). Every other update I've had has gone smoothly without a problem so presumed this would be the same.
Why was there not a clear warning stated before going ahead with the upgrade that your phone may get wiped and you will need to back it up just incase?

Synchronize iphone to outlook contacts and calendar
I have a new iPhone and the contacts were transferred from my old cell. I cannot get the outlook calendar nor the outlook contacts onto my iphone. I can't even get to iPhone information to play around with it as itunes doesn't show my iphone except when it is synchronizing and then it is gone as a device. How can I get itunes to let me look at the information to be synchronized and mostly, How can I get it to actually synchronize the icloud or even my desktop with the iphone. Now it is not synchronizing either the icloud or the desktop with the iphone. thanks for the help.
Is this selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?

Has any of the Error 0x80040604 problems been solved? The onlt response I get is"Apple Engineers are working on it" I am dealing with a Senior Tech. Should I go to someone higher?
The sync with Outlook contacts abd Calendar was working well for 6 months. I have iphone4 and mini ipad connected to the iCloud.. My " bandaid "is to only use the iphone 4 for contacts and calendar events.
Is their another Cloud I can use?I have found a solution to this problem.
FYI - Blackberry cannot sync to Outlook if Outlook is in "Click to Run" mode. Follow the link below for instructions on how to install a full version of Office 2010.

IPhone 4S iOS6.0.1 and iTunes 11 lost contacts and calendar
I installed iTunes 11 and everything looked just fine. However, after the first sync of the iPhone, all my contacts and calendar were erased from the iPhone. It is still just fine in Outlook. I clicked the boxes on the Info Screen to load all data for Calendar and Contacts from this computer during next sync. Two weeks ago, I upgraded from Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013. However, all syncs after that upgrade worked just fine. I only lost the data after upgrading from iTunes 10.7 to iTunes 11.0.
Simply thrilling.Disregard... new iTunes 11.0 placed all my contacts and calendars in the Cloud. When I turned on Contacts and Calendar in Cloud, they all loaded back on my phone. Urgh.

I wanted to sync my iphone 4 (cdma). I have synced it before successfully. I am getting an error "itunes cannot sync apps to the iphone because the apps installed on the iphone cannot be determined" and the apps and items follwoing apps in syncing (photos for example) will not sync. Items prior to apps synced (calendar/contacts). I restarted both my iphone (currently on ios 4.2.8) and my computer, itunes was on 10.6.1, same problem. I installed itunes 10.6.3, same problem. I had been waiting to update ios to 5.1.1 and would like to do that now, but wanted to sync first. Anyone have any ideas? I am stumped! Thank you.

Camera that can record while charging for long periods of time
