Synch wont work correctly
Hi guys,
I bought the latest Imac. Nice, but when I connect my Iphone, strange things happen. First, it Itunes sees the phone for some seconds but than loses it again and iPhoto opens. The Iphone goes into synch, but doesn't stop anymore. I can prevent iTunes from losing the phone wen I click on it straight away But for some reasons all but one of my movies (all MP4) wont synch. I tried it manually, but no chance. Also I told iTunes I want synch photos with iPhoto, but the gallery remains empty. I got the last 3Gs. Can anyone help me? I already went through several posts.

Sounds like that upgrade (The 2.02) is for your iPod itself. It's a free update, however, if you had purchased the 2.0 upgrade. I'd try updating your iPod software, trying a different USB port on your computer, or event trying to restore the iPod on a different computer.

Nokia Email Push wont work correctly on my N97
I'm trying to install the Nokia Messaging from email.nokia.com. The installation is fine. However after installation and I run Email application, the Email setup always take me to setting up the email of the application that comes which the phone out of the box. This app can be used as an email client however it is not a push notification. Instead people have to set the retrieval interval for it to query the email from the server.
I was able to install the Nokia Email push software but I reset my phone so I need to reinstall it.
I want it to take me to the SMS Provision screen so I can enter my account which I signed up on email.nokia.com for the app to query my email settings from nokia server, not from yahoo or gmail as in the default Nokia Messaging software.
I tried to uninstall the redownload then reinstall but I can't still get into the app I want. The email setup program (activated from application folder or from home screen widget) always take me to the default email client which is not a push notification.
My Nokia Email version is 10.00(10).
I have tried to go to email.nokia.com and send an sms that has the link to download the app again but still the same.
I also tried to go to the web page from the phone's web browser but got the same result.
So my question is am I missing something or how to setup the app correctly. Before I was able to set it up so I guess it's a hit or miss?

-CatenThis is a bug. Prior to the last update, nokia messaging worked fine on mine. Perfect with multiple accounts as well, Hotmail, Gmail and Mac. Now, it doesn't work at all. I have reformatted, hard reset three times, it still will not install properly and, when I finally was able to install it, not one of the other apps (photos and the camera) interface with it any longer.
When installing it before, it was simple. A link was sent, you clicked, and it asked for the password for the NM account. Simple as A,B,C. Whatever was setup in the online website was mirrored at the device level. It was very very simple to use and, for me, it worked excellent for over a year on two different phones not including this brick.
So, what happens now is that the mail program is not opening when using the send by email command. That particular menu item is also no longer appearing.
I used to be able to snap a pic, click the mail icon, choose email and off it went. Now, there's no option to send via email as there was prior to the update.
Also, when in photos, I could select multiple photos / pics and email them in one shot. It no longer functions at all. I am not able to even open the email program from within other apps. Clicking open does nothing so, there's no way to mail out that pic other than using the attachment function from withing the mail client itself.
This is a huge letdown because, I was so spoiled by the ease of workflow and the speed at which I could get things done and now, all of that is gone and I am left with nothing but a brick. Nothing works now as it did before the update. Not one thing funcions correctly after that last POS update.
I only hope that they fix this soon. I am back on my old E71 unlocked and, for now, that is the only option I have as the N97 is dead in the water floating belly up. -
can an IPOD touch be salvaged or just bring to Apple store.
Before you take it to an Apple Store, try to put it into a sealed bag of rice for a couple of days, to take out the moisture. This has worked for some people. The other option would be getting it replaced by Apple, but that's not covered by the warranty. My touch screen wont work correctly
I've had my iPhone 4s for just over a month now and part of the touch screen is unresponsive which means i cant unlock the phone etc..
Ive tried all the steps in the trouble shooting but none have worked. The factory restore didn't work either.
Are there any other ideas that i could try? Any one else have the same problem?jozanna70 wrote:

I have set up an email signature in office 365 so I can pull the signature in for numerous pcs, macs and mobile devices. It works well from the pcs and when a mail is sent from the webmail, but when I send a mail via my desktop macmail, it loses all its formatting and links/images, and sends a plain text version.
Is there a fix for this, I cant see anything in the set up for macmail, I have spoken to Microsoft but they have said post on here to see if anyone is having the same isue,

Iango to https://appleid.apple.com/ and try to reset it there. when updating to ios 7 it does have activation lock so you have to know the apple id and password. contact apple and they make be able to assist you with apple id password.

Synch wont work - Dad pulled the cable out
My Dad pulled the cable out when I was synching my iPod touch with iTunes. I can no longer do a complete synch - only 29 songs out of 540 songs are on my iPod Touch now. I get an error message when I try to synch and upload the rest of my library. The error message reads "Attempting to copy to the disk Jack's iPod failed. The disk could not be read from or written to". Can anyone help solve this?

Time Machine wont work correctly
I have just purchased an Airport Extreme and have set it up with only minor problems.
Although my first back up to time machine took 6 hours!! that completed fine.
My problem is this, I have now backed up a number of times today but when I click onto time machine it does not see the back-up from yesterday or any of the back-ups from the last six hours and all I see is the current view of my mac hard drive as is now!!! ie cant go back in time!!!.
Anyone know how this can be fixed!!!!

Keyboard shortcuts in flash cs6 not working correctly
i bought 3 licences of creative suite cs6, and in every one of them flash cs6 keyboard shortcuts wont work correctly.
specifcly the tools shortcuts such as space bar for hand tool, v' for arrow key and more.
i need to restart flash for them to work again. this happened on 3 of my studio's computers!
please help

Mohanaraj CS, I'm still using Flash Pro CS6 on my MacBook Pro and the shortcuts don't all work correctly because Flash (German version with German language keyboard setting in OSX) seems to use an US keyboard setting only for the shortcuts internally (if I type into fields, I've got my German layout, but if I want to set up a shortcut like cmd + + for zoom in oder cmd + - for zoom out, it shows cmd + ] and cmd + / instead).
And the "fix" to an obvious bug (as you said by yourself) now is TO BUY CC??
Come on, Adobe Staff, is that how you treat your customers?
A little -known- bug but you have to get (and buy) the cloud thing, if you want it fixed... did you get the bug into the code THEREFORE in the last update?

Why do i have to use the podcast app in iOS6 since it doesn't work correctly
I upgraded to iOS 6 and now you cant download podcasts through the itunes app... Now you have to download the podcast app and use that instead, but that wont work correctly for me... keeps hanging and not downloading the actual podcast. Does anyone know a way to get podcasts in iOS 6 without using this app?
Separating out a podcast app is a step backward. From a marketing perspective, podcasts are seen as something independent from music and television. But from a functionality POV, it just makes it harder to manage your audio on your iPhone.
Consumer Technology's objective has always been to make one device do more things, i.e. combine a phone into a music player. This step is akin to taking the ability to text and spinning it off onto a gadget you attach to your key-ring.
It's still there, but annoying to dig out when you want to use it. -
I have had to restore my pc to a place back in time when it worked correctly. This meant that iTunes was deleted. I have now downloaded the latest version of iTunes but I cant sync my iPad with it. I get the message that this iPad is synced with another iTunes Library and cant sync to this one. Thankfully all my music library is on iPad. I would be grateful for some help on this issue

HT1578 Correct password wont work on a dmg file
I created an encrypted disk image and saved my files in it. Once created, the pw was working fine when checked, but today the password wont work, it was saved in keychain too so no way it can be wrong, but I renamed and moved the file a couple of times to other folders, is that the problem?

They can be renamed in Finder and changing the location of it should not matter either except if you moved it to a folder with different access permissions that prevent it from being read.
Anyway recreate a new encrypted disk image and choose a name you are happy with, move your files into it, and keep it in a location where permissions belong to you and that will be the the most direct solution. -

However i have read all of the topics you posted.
I know in the mail form i can disable the "sort of Captcha". I wanted to disable it and insert reCaptcha instead.
I will re-make the form because like you said (and i already figured it out myself) ;

Im a hobbyist that learns really really fast.
Before March 23 i never used CSS, Javascript and XHTML. And never combined them all together with PHP. (never ever created a php based file from scratch)
The reason why i use other persons code is because i learn faster with examples, and because i dont need to reinvent the wheel if someone already invented it. The only thing i do with it is learn the workings, customise it and at last, rewrite the code when i understand it.

I think it was Nancy O. that gave me the link to the validator. Thats how i discovered the service.
You need to know that in 1 day (from 63 errors and 12 warnings) i removed all errors. And i didnt knew much about it, and why errors happend while the site looks fine.
So im just curious how things work and thats why i "steal" codes and adjust them to learn myself.

my pictures from my i phone 4s wont import from auto play. a message keeps coming up saying there is an error and a device is not working properly. also i have tried going into the internal storage to copy and paste them but that wont work either. the page either stops responding or the picture simply dont copy. does any1 have any idea why this is happening. it has never happened before and only seems to be happening since i started using i cloud storage instead of synching my phone with the lap top.

Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
