Syncing iPad Two to a Targus Swivel Keypad
My daughter gave me a Targus AKB34 Swivel Keypad for my new iPad Two. I have no manual (guess she lost it) and no instructions regarding syncing or other user tips. I looked at the Targus site and suspect this item is no longer supported. Anyone out there available to provide assistance? Thanx!

Thanks for your help Brij011 - much appreciated. Apologies as I'm a newbie but I've looked at the info for synching and I appear to have all the switches flicked on my iPad. Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

I have an album of photos on my iPad that isn't among my iPhoto files on my laptop, but when I sync the two devices this album isn't copied onto my laptop. Is there something additional I need to do?
iPhoto won't see albums that you've created in the Photos app on your iPad, nor photos that were synced to the app from a computer - it will only see the photos/videos that are in the Camera Roll album and, if you've used the camera connection kit, photos/video in the Imported Photos & Videos album.
If you want to copy photos from a particular album on your iPad then there are iPad apps such as Simple Transfer that let you select the photos in an album and copy them to your computer via your wifi-network. -
I originally set up my itouch with a gmail account and now i have an ipad set up with a @me account. Can someone help me to sync the two by adding the @ me address to the itouch as i am not having success? Please can someone help me. Thanks

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account") -
My account ID on my new ipad was different from my imac. I accidently synced the two and then learned that the two ID's must be the same (which they are now). I am new to ipad so am just learning. My ID is not "sailsalot." I am getting tons of answers from Apple Support to questions that sailsalot is asking. My ID is <removed by moderator>
For ringtones, iTunes > Preferences > General >Import Settings... button > choose Import using AAC encoder to enable Create AAC version from .m4a and mp3 files.

I'm trying to update my iPad to newest iOS when I try to back it up it just sits there. Even overnight it does progress. The iPad has been synced to two different iTunes accounts and I have a new PC. THAT I'm using to sync it on.

We've had our MBP for a year, set up with my Apple ID. Got an iPad recently and set up with husband's Apple ID. Would now like to sync the two and set up iCloud/PhotoStream between the two. How to do since have two different Apple IDs? Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, why did you elect to use a different id?. That seems to always make things difficult. If you have not had the pad for long, or have not bought a lot of stuff Nader the new id, you might want to think about erasing all content, turn off find my phone, wiping the pad and starting over.
You can sync 2 different ids ( at least move pictures, books and music back and forth) if you are syncing through I tunes on your computer, but I don't think you can cross feed I cloud streams. -

No. You can download much or most of the content that you have already purchased as long as you use the same Apple ID. There is no way to sync the two devices.

Yes, in terms of multiple devices but I doubt an iPad air be able to sync to something as old as iTunes9. Usually iOS devices need the version of iTunes that was current at the time the device was sold. I don't know all the system requirements by heart but I strongly suspect if you truly have a G5 (PPC) computer there is no way you will get a newer device to work with it. To do so would require a system upgrade higher than you can do on a G5.

I cannot understand why apple at this point STILL will not allow the same ipad/ipod to sync with two computers. I have a pc at work, a mac at home - why am i unable to sync with the apps in both places? It is 2012, and the copyright argument just does not fly, especially if i authorize both machines which apple seems to allow one apple ID to authorize up to 5 machines.
But what is the point of authorizing a computer if you cannot sync to it? I realize this is a help forum and not a place for rants, but am at a loss to understand why apple is clinging to this awkward and very annoying/frustrating setup.

About itunes itself, this serves as the main gateway for all music/apps/movies/books. etc., and BADLY needs an upgrade in aesthetics as well as function.
Since it is now the primary conduit for all apps and other items, why is it even called "itunes"? But more to the point, it is an awkward and difficult app to use, and it is surprising that it even comes from apple.
Mind you, I've been using apple computers since the IIe, so i go back a ways with the company, but itunes is a train wreck IMHO, and a better platform with far more flexible features and improved functionality is long overdue.
You have a world-class tablet in the ipad 3, why did they not introduce a conduit platform on which to move/transfer documents/files etc that is equally superb?Regarding #1, see this post.

Error message when syncing Ipad in itunes: unable to load data class

I t tried posting this question on the ipad community but no luck.
What happened last night I was trying to sync/backup my ipad 2 running ios 5.0.1 with itunes 10.5 (?) for over an hour. It stuck on step 2 of syncing ipad and it's been on that for a while. when I get to step two, after it asks me if I want to sync my purchased on my ipad to itunes, I click ok. then i keep getting the follow error message: itunes was unable to load data class information from Sync services. reconnect or try again later.
I keep trying and this message keeps popping up on step two;
then in itunes when I click on my ipad under devices, itunes will freeze.
I can't figure out what happened. when I previously synced I had no problem and it was quick.
I even tried to download itunes again and "repair" it but still same problem.
Please help.

After I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 I can't sync iPad mini with PC (on Windows XP). I keep getting the folowing message: "The iPad could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchase items on this iPad". I tried everything:
1) De-authorizing and rebooting (about 100 times);
2) De-installing and reinstalling itunes;
3) Deactivating the firewall;
4) Run Diagnostics (result - all works fine including sync);
5) Tried to look for the "SC info" directory or file everyone is referring to in the Computer (Hidden files) of the iTunes directory - nothing;
6) Ticking and unticking the |Sync over Wi-Fi" option;
7) Changing backup from iCloud to this Computer and back.
I am using the admin account on my PC - doesn't help.
I cannot sync anything at all.
BTW - on the PC and on the iPad - everything that is there plays OK. I can get stuff from iStore both from iPad and from the PC - but I can't sync the two.
It looks like an iOS 7 bug to me - any ideas or advice?

D.No I have tried multiple connections, at home, at work, and even at my church but to no avail. For example I have recently purchased a CD from Itunes using my computer, but my ipad will only play it from the cloud. I've tried to download straight from my Ipad and that too does not work. When ever I try to plug the Ipad into the computer a window pops up and says that the sync has failed. If I try to drag the file to the Ipad it will say it's loading than just quit before it transfers. hmmm. I hope they get this bug fixed some. would really like to have that CD to isten to on the go. Another issue I am no having is the apps are having trouble updating. I have tried to turn off auto update and do it manually and that too is failing.
