Syntax for Commmand Object
I am trying to use the Command Object create a recordset
where a variable is passed that contains the values of in IN
statement:
Param5 rsOffices__varType is the variable that passes the
value of the IN
If I set rsOffices__varType = 'po', 'sb' : I do not get en
error, but I also do not return any records
If I set rsOffices__varType = po', 'sb : No error, No records
If I set rsOffices__varType = "'po', 'sb'" : No error, No
records
If I set rsOffices__varType = ""po"", ""sb"" : No error, No
records
Same is true of several other combinations of single and
double quotes: No error, No records
What is the correct syntax for a the parameter that is used
in the "IN" statement?
Dim rsOffices
Dim rsOffices_cmd
Dim rsOffices_numRows
Set rsOffices_cmd = Server.CreateObject ("ADODB.Command")
rsOffices_cmd.ActiveConnection = MM_connClusterDB_STRING
rsOffices_cmd.CommandText = "SELECT OfficeID, ShortOffice,
MasterType, TypeCode, ZipTag FROM tbl_Offices WHERE ShortOffice
like ? and MasterType = ? and ZipTag between ? and ? and
TypeCode in ( ? ) "
rsOffices_cmd.Prepared = true

What is the correct systax for defining an object
using an array;
i.e.,
To create an array of 3 Books objects from:
private Book book1;
private Book book2;
private Book book3;
to an array, what would the syntax look like?
Book[] library= { book1, book2, book3 };
//or, (valid but less idiomatic)
Book library[]= { book1, book2, book3 );
//or, quite silly
Book[] library= new Book[3];
library[0]= book1;
library[1]= book2;
library[2]= book3;kind regards

What is the syntax for the mdx offset in universe designer?
Hi everybody!!!
I wish someone could help me with my mdx syntax. I made an universe with Universe designer (BOEdge 3.1) from a BW query and I'm trying to create in this universe an object with an offset.
My new object has to be the result of the [0CALYEAR].[LEVEL01] with "- 1" offset, is it possible???
I tried to put the code in the select or in the where fields of the object but without results. When I try to make a query in webi rich client this "new object" doesn't work...
Please help me...
DarioHi Ingo,
thank you for the reply.
I tried to use that document...the problem is when I put the code in the object (inside univ des) and I analyse the code using the button, the syntax is every time without errors. When I try to make the query in webi rich client , if I use that object the software shows a window with error.
I used these code in the "where" field:
1. <EXPRESSION>@SELECT([0CALYEAR].[LEVEL01])-1</EXPRESSION>
2. <EXPRESSION>@SELECT(Anno calendario\L01 Anno calendario)-1</EXPRESSION>
the problem is to find the right syntax for what I want...the -1 offset for the new object from the OCALYEAR. I need that if in webi I select from the object filter [0CALYEAR].[LEVEL01] the value 2010 - in the new object will be 2009 etc...

Flex 3: syntax for populating ArrayCollection by loop
Hi, I'm a newb. I can't find an example of how to do this. Any examples would be greatl appreciated.
I want to chart some engineering data by populating my chart's dataprovider with an array collection (so far no problem). I want to poulate the array collection by looping through a math expression and I can't figure out the syntax for that. For example...
[Bindable]
private var myChartData:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([
{vertNum:100, horizNum:100}
I want to loop through and add more points programmatically so if I loop 5 times I end up with...
[Bindable]
private var myChartData:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([
{vertNum:100, horizNum:100},
{vertNum:110, horizNum:110},
{vertNum:43, horizNum:120},
{vertNum:88, horizNum:130},
{vertNum:140, horizNum:140},
// etc...
The number of horizontal variables to plot ould be in the hundreds, so I don't want to set up a huge static array collection with expressions in each location. I'd prefer to solve the expression as a loop iterates and populate the array collection as it goes. But I haven't got a clue how to 'word' that.
thanks!Here is an example of adding data points from a simple formula using a random number generator and scaling the randomness up. The process is just to create a new Object for each iteration of the loop and add the object to your ArrayCollection. You can assign as many properties to the object as you need, which can be helpful for using one ArrayCollection that is displayed in multiple charts.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" creationComplete="build_model()">
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
private function build_model():void {
var obj:Object;
var chartAC:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection();
for (var i:uint = 0; i < 100; i++) {
obj = new Object();
obj.horizNum = 100 + 10 * i;
obj.vertNum = i * Math.random();
chartAC.addItem(obj);
linechart1.dataProvider = chartAC;
]]>
</mx:Script>
<mx:LineChart left="10" right="10" top="54" bottom="10" id="linechart1">
<mx:series>
<mx:LineSeries displayName="Series 1" yField="vertNum" xField="horizNum"/>
</mx:series>
</mx:LineChart>
<mx:Button x="10" y="10" label="Build Model" click="build_model()"/>
</mx:Application>

simulator.
2. sqlite3bind_blob(insertstatement, 1, image, -1);
it gives error like too few arguments.
here image is object of UIImage........
pls anyone can tell me what is proper syntax for binding of blob datatype.
Thankx.
vavdiyaharesh is online now Add to vavdiyaharesh's Reputation Report Post Edit/Delete MessageI wanted to do something similar, but as you mention, there isn't a lot of sample code to copy and paste etc, and I didn't have the time to spend investigating this one issue when plenty of other things needed my attention.
In the end I decided to save my BLOB data as actual files in the document directory and then store a link to these in the database row. Something like primarykey_id_blobname.jpg etc.
Probably not the answer you want, but hopefully it'll get you past a road block and onto the next item on your list. -
Request MDX syntax for BOE XI3.0 and SAP BI7
Hi,
Does anyone know that where I can find a document to specify the MDX syntax that can be used for BOE XI3.0 and SAP BI7?
I found a related topic on:
Resources for customizing SAP Universe objects with MDX
But after go through the above thread, the feeling is that we can only get the answer by testing each of the syntax.
Could anyone share any ideas to this topic?
Thanks and regards
noraHi Ingo,
Here is the example that customer gave:
Per you request, a real example. The following objects were created,
when an universe was set up against a BEx Query:
Notation A: [0LOCNOTA].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTA].[Value]
Notation B: [0LOCNOTB].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTB].[Value]
Notation C: [0LOCNOTC].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTC].[Value]
Notation D: [0LOCNOTD].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTD].[Value]
User Status: [0LOCUSTA].[LEVEL01].[20LOCUSTA].[Value]
Want to be able to create an object, CFact, defined in the universe as
(shown in Oracle syntax here, but of course we have a SAP OLAP
universe thus our request for a MDX syntax for BO and SAP BW/BEx Query):
decode([0LOCNOTA].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTA].[Value],'Y','FAIL;','')
||decode([0LOCNOTB].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTB].[Value],'Y','CDMN;','')
||decode([0LOCNOTC].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTC].[Value],'Y','BSFR;','')
||decode([0LOCNOTD].[LEVEL01].[20LOCNOTD].[Value],'Y','ERR;','')
||substr([0LOCUSTA].[LEVEL01].[20LOCUSTA].[Value],1,4)
Say, if values for the objects are 'Y', 'N', 'Y', 'N',
and 'INACESSIBLE', respectively, CFact would have the data
FAIL;BSFR;INAC
Hope the above provides you with enough detail.
thanks and regards

What is the setVariable syntax for AS3
Hi,
I am having issues with setting a variable in AS3 SWF playing inside a Dir12
spriteObjRef.setVariable(variableName, newValue)
In the context of ActionScript 3, this method is only supported on a Flash object, not on a
spriteObjectRef.
What would the Flash Object syntax be??
Thanks,
JimJusclark-Oracle wrote:
What is the correct syntax for referencing a page item (P23_ID, for example) in a PL/SQL page process, after submit?
See "About Referencing Session State" in the documentation.
Within an anonymous block in an APEX page process, use the standard bind variable syntax:
:P23_ID
In general, use bind variable syntax when referencing session state values in SQL or DML:
select
ename
into
:p23_name
from
emp
where
empno = to_number(:p23_id);
and obviously when assigning values to the item:
:P23_ID := foo.nextval;
PL/SQL function references v('p23_id') and nv('p23_id') [for number values] must be used to access values in stored program units called from APEX, although it's usually better to pass the values as parameters: foo(:p23_id). -

Any plans for adding following objects under Bulk API V2.0 for data extraction from Eloqua. Extracting the data using the REST API for these objects makes it complicated.Thanks for quick response. Extracting these objects using REST API in depth=Complete poses lots of complication from the code perspective since these object(s) contains multiple nested or embedded objects within it. is there any guideline on how to extract these objects using REST so that we can get all the data which is required for analysis/reporting.

Exporting and Importing Statistics for Schema objects.
Hello All,
I am trying to gather stats for optimization using, gather_schema_stats for all objects under schema. The manual what i am reading says it covers both Tables and Indexes and we can also include the all partions too. For the safety reasons i was informed by a friend that we should take a back up of old stats into a table (user defined), so as in case of messing up with new stats for performance issue we can use it as an backup copy. So, i have created a user table and exported the stats from existing schema. My Question is, do i have to create one for the indexes too. Or its all in one table. I hope my question is clear.
Generally manuals don't teach all this kind of stuff until unless we learn it by ourselves by trial and error Or getting solutions from great resolvers like you people.
Hope to hear soon.
Thanks in Advance.One table for table and indexes stats is enough, a little test for you :

How to set change mode as default for workbench objects
Hi experts
I've always wondered if there is a configuration option in NW BW 7 where it can be set whether double clicking a workbench object will show the maintenance screen for that object in change or display mode (default is display). Because is annoying to have to set edit mode every time one double click a workbench object in the development system, and as it is a development system, it would make sense to have edit mode by default instead of display
I was thinking that it may be related to the client role, but who knows...
I appreciate your help
regardsNot sure where this can be set...if anywhere.
But how about this for a workaround: Right click the object in RSA1 and the select Change instead of Display.
That would save you a click if I counted correctly -
How to build sql query for view object at run time
Hi,
I have a LOV on my form that is created from a view object.
View object is read-only and is created from a SQL query.
SQL query consists of few input parameters and table joins.
My scenario is such that if input parameters are passed, i have to join extra tables, otherwise, only one table can fetch the results I need.
Can anyone please suggest, how I can solve this? I want to build the query for view object at run time based on the values passed to input parameters.
Thanks
Srikanth AddankiAs I understand you want to change the query at run time.
If this is what you want, you can use setQuery Method then use executeQuery.

How to find multiple transport requests for one object
Hi all,
Is there any function module which will fetches multiple transport requests ( if created ) for one object.I tried almost all the function modules , but i didn't got the solution.
I need to develop a report , which will takes a single Task number as input and gets the Request number from table E070.
Based on that Request Number i will fetch remaining Task numbers under it.
Then for all the Tasks Numbers, i am fetching their objects by using table E071.
I need to list out whether any of these objects are in multiple Transport Requests. Once i got all the Transport Request numbers i need to release the Request based on their Transport Request sequence.
I tried the following FM's , but not able to get the solution.
SVRS_DISPLAY_VERSION_LIST

EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
AND RETURN.
CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
TABLES
listobject = list_tab
EXCEPTIONS
not_found = 1
OTHERS = 2.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_LIST'
TABLES
listobject = list_tab.
ENDIF.

Submitting the program(RSWBO040) of SE03 transaction a will result in 'CNTL_ERROR' dump.
Please try some other options
