System halt after my program run

infoI make a program by LabVIEW 6i. The program function is that firstly it get data from OPC server by network, secondly to send command by RS-232. But the program do not run correctly. some information as follows:
1. computer: advantech industrial PC, CPU: P3-800(intel), memory:128M, HD:20G, display memory:4M(ATI), net crad: 3Com(3c905,10-100M)
2. system: windows NT4.0 workstation with SP4 (chinese), LabVIEW 6i
3. OPC: server: citect.opc (citect is automation & industrial software),
client: labVIEW.opc
4. some phenomena: when the program run after 4-5 hours or 10-12 hours, system halt and show that visual memory is shortage(visual memory of system is 160M).
I do not know why it is, need you help.

System halt after installation

Hi,
i installed Solaris 8 2/02 on an SunFire120. After the installation with the "installation cd" the system rebooted and started the "Web Start Launcher in Command Line Mode". After that he wants to install "Additional Software". The status bar is up to 100% at the beginning and then it seems, that the system halted. You cannot execute any commands oder start a cd. You are not in de OS (no prompt).
Does anybody have a solution?

System Halts after DVD-Au

As long as I'm reading these forums, I mise wll post another problem I am having.
When using my SB Audigy 2 ZS to DVD Audio, I use the Creative DVD-Audio Player, which I think is pretty much required. The sound is amazing..etc... However, when I close the dvd-audio player I get a system error (one of those prompts with sending information to microsoft) and then the system halts...screen goes blank and I have to reset the computer.
I havn't seen anything about this in the FAQ. I've re-installed the drivers before for other reasons and nothing seems to fix this.
Any ideas on this, or is it a known bug/hardware conflict with certain computers? I have an AMD Athlon XP, via chipset..on board sound but disabled the driver. No conflicts given from system. I am using the analog 5. outputs. The dvd-rom is a generic brand, but I suspect that should not matter. I do not have issues playing DVD movies and the audio works fine for the audio. It is simply the program...

Encore Taking System Resources After Exiting Program

I just wondered if this has happened to anybody else out there.
I'm working in Encore, then when I'm done I exit the program. I open up Task manager and Encore is still taking up 50% of my Memory Usage (I have 2 gig of ram). Encore is not listed as running under Applications, but it's using 50% of my CPU.
Does anyone have the problem or have seen this before? Right now I have to log off and log back on to stop Encore from using my CPU.

Found a workaround.
This involves editing the registry so if you're not familiar with it you should probably leave it alone. What I did was this:
1) Open regedit and go to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Encore DVD\2.0\PluginCache\en_US\ImporterQT.prm (You will have to do this on each user using Encore on the system)
2) With the "ImporterQT.prm" highlighted go to the "Edit"-Menu and choose Permissions (or simply right-click on the key and choose it)
3) Klick the Advanced button. In the "Permissions entries:"-field select your current logged in username (usually the first entry) and klick the Edit-button below. In the "Permissions:"-field klick the "Deny"-check box for the "Set Value"-entry and klick Ok. Klick Ok again and klick Yes in the following popup. Last klick Ok on the Permission-window.
As to why Encore hangs because it tries to write(?) a value to the registry - I have no idea. I am interested if this workaround works for the other guys here with the same problem, see it it's a consistent bug. I am pretty sure this is an Encore 2 bug though, the videoediting teacher here at the school claims she have no problem with her copy of Encore 1.5 and Avid Express Pro at her homecomputer.
Btw, I don't think this is a codec problem - I did try uninstall the Avid Codec Pack and Quicktime, and removed any trailing registry entries and files I could find, and then reinstalled Quicktime. Still got the same result. Maybe I should have tried to reinstall Encore aswell but I ran out of time .. I'm satisfied with this workaround anyway, at least I can do the rollout now without worrying about this particular problem :)

To fetch data on the basis of last program run date and time

My query is as folows:
I am selecting BOM components from STPO table on the basis of some criteria.
My requirement is to select only BOM components which are newly added or created after last program run,i.e. STPO-AEDAT and STPO-ANDAT are greater than last program run.Here i fetched last program date from customised structure(client specific) which has date field also,and compared with aedat and andat in STPO records.But how can I connect it with last run time as there is no such time field in STPO table.I need to fetch this data on the basis of last program run(time+date).
Please help me..it's crucial,

Hi,
We had a very similar requirement.
We developed a custom-solution for this.
Create a Z-Table and update it with your progname, date and time.
Whenever the BOM was changed, it generated a change number ( this has to be done by the user)
You can get the date and time from the change Number Table AENR and compare it with the timestamp in Z-TABLE

System does not turn off after halt after successful suspend-resume

I have the following problem: when I try to shut down my laptop after it resumed from suspend to ram. It seems to shut down normally until, at the very end, it reaches the system halted part (which you wouldn't even be able to read if the system would actually halt). I'm running an updated system, no testing, on an Dell Latitude E6400. The system shuts down normally if I don't suspend it.
Any ideas? What additional information do you need?

Cannot keep Server up and running. Shutdown requested by OVM. The system is going down for system halt NOW!

I have OVS 3.x.x and OVM 3.x.x running on the same physical server. I had some issues trying to configure storage via OVM and I issued a shutdown (I think) from the OVM Web Interface. Now I am unable to keep the server up and running. Everytime I turn on the server, after Oracle VM Manager starts, it shuts down the server automatically within a minute or two after startup.
I am able to login to the server via Putty and stop ovmm service manually. When Oracle VM Manager service is stopped, (SERVICE OVMM STOP) the server does not shutdown automatically. However as soon as I restart the OVMM service, it shuts down the server with message...

Since your server was continually rebooting, do you remember if you issued a shutdown or reboot from OVM web interface? Mine was just shutting down. Have you tried to use the Oracle Virtual Manage Web Interface to either reboot or shutdown the server after your upgrade to 3.2.4? FYI I do not have support. This is my sandbox.

my exact scenerio is
I wrote a shell script to delete the reports which r one month old. the reports generated by the boe r placed in unix machine(in a specific folder for example abc) and my boe server is also on unix .I imported the the shell script into boe.I assigned the path /xx/yy/abc (the path where our reports r stored) to the arguments and i gave the working directory path as the xx/yy/bobj/bobje/data/frsinput/a0_89/ ( this is the path where my shell script is present).after giving these details i am unable to delete any of the content from that folder. I am getting the failed message when i am trying to execute the object in cmc. i am pasting the shell script as well as the error message here if any body knows anything help me. do i need to set anything in cmc or what i need to do

Is there a way to put system to sleep after Time Machine runs?

I don't need to run Time Machine every hour, especially since my TM disk is on Firewire and not built in (had a disk fail with TM volume on same disk - bad idea)
When TM runs, it has to spin up the Firewire external disk, so I just run TM by hand now. I'd like to do this when I go to dinner or to sleep etc
Is there a way to have the Mac system sleep after Time Machine finishes running? An AppleScript perhaps?

I have not seen one, and that is exactly how I use TM. Unmount, turn off the drive. Turn on the drive, the backup volume mounts automatically and TM resumes its scheduled backups.
Your Console logs will reveal the times in which TM attempted to back up but could not find the device:

In the scenario which we have, File name is DYNAMICALLY GENERATED by a UDF
I want to call the file at run time after message processing via Command Line and execute some os commands.
But since the file name is Dynamic....How will i call the file at run time in Command Line:
SYNTAX: %f(FileName)
How will i specify the file name in the above syntax as the file name is Dynamic and not constatnt.

In general payment media programs are executed immediately after the payment run.
You can execute payment media programs using transaction code SA38 or you can enter appropriate variants for payment media programs in printout/date medium tab while executing payment run in F110 so that they are run automatically along with payment run.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension as you do not need them to run Java applets.
