System.Nullreferenceexception Problem

Hi,
this is my problem, I've developed a web application with .NET 2.0.
On my pc the oracle client is 9.2.0.1.0 .
All works fine, on my pc, I try to run the application into another server, that connects to another DB (the DB are the same of mine) and this error appers...on a simply query the result is null
Line 664: while (Record.Read())
Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Isn't a problem of data in DB, alla data are correct
the only difference with my environment is the client... 9.2.0.1.0 on my pc.....9.0.2.0.6 on the other PC......please help!

this is the code of OracleDataReader and an example of use it.....
public OracleDataReader GetRecordFromOracleDb(string SQLQueryString)
OracleDataReader Record = null;
//string OracleConnString = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["OracleDbConnectionString"];
string OracleConnString = ConnectionString;
OracleDbConnection = new OracleConnection(OracleConnString);
try
OracleDbConnection.Open();
Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleCommand oracleCommand = new OracleCommand(SQLQueryString, OracleDbConnection);
try
Record = oracleCommand.ExecuteReader();
catch (Exception Ex)
string Message = "Exception raised: " + Ex.Message;
catch (Exception e)
string Message = "Exception raised: " + e.Message;
//OracleDbConnection.Close ();
return Record;
OracleDataReader Record = GetRecordFromOracleDb(SQLQueryString)
while (Record.Read())
In the environment where oracle client 9.2 is installed all works fine.....where ther is 9.0 it doesn't work....

  • System.NullReferenceException

    Hello,
    I tried to call a simple RFC-function using the .Net-Connector. The Wizard generates "SAPProxyDll1.sapwsdll" which contains the following void:
    public void Z_Vb_Test_Fg_Called_By_Vb (
            object[]results = null;
            results = this.SAPInvoke("Z_Vb_Test_Fg_Called_By_Vb",new object[] {
            return;
    When I call this void by clicking a button in my Windows-Form (whithout making any changes at the rest of the coding) the following Error appears:
    "An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in sap.connector.dll
    Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
    Do I have to make any changes at the automatically generated coding, or what is the problem?
    Thanks a lot.
    Jochen

    Hello,
    thanks for your answer. The problem was that my connection didn't work properly, but now it works.

    - .NET Framework 4.0 and 4.5.2
    The Gaming App doesn't start for me (it just dies without showing any window, only a notification icon appears for a second). In Windows event viewer, I see this:

    Guessing by the name "Class_Fun_MB.GetWMI()", it might have something to do with WMI. The WMI itself seems to be working fine: my event viewer shows no error regarding it, and I can run wmic.exe and execute commands like "PROCESS get Caption,Commandline,Processid"...
    The other application (MSI afterburner) works just fine, but it's way too scary for me to use, and I'd really like to have the Gaming App working - please help!

    I'm using a hp z230 tower workstation, with LGA-1150/i7 4771 processor, PCH C226 chipset, and 16GB RAM (can't post external link to hp page).
    I tried reinstalling Gaming App, etc. but to no avail.
    Except that, I have no other problems with the PC or graphics card. Played Witcher3 for several hours - all smooth and stable.

  • Troubleshooting System Recovery Problems

    A System Recovery is a useful tool to return your Windows 8 tablet back to factory defaults. However, what do you do when the System Recovery isn't working!?
    A full System Recovery can be a lengthy process as there is a lot of data being transferred. Patience is the key, as a full Recovery can take two to four hours to complete.
    For more information check out HP's Troubleshooting HP System Recovery Problems for Windows 8. This document will help you get your Windows 8 tablet back up and running.
    TIP: If you are planning on using the System Recovery make sure that you do not change or delete the HP Recovery Partition as that will make all but impossible to Restore your tablet using the HP Recovery Manager.

  • SQL CLR Table-Valued Function System.NullReferenceException

    Good day.
    I wrote a clr table-valued function that gets the data from the sharepoint list using the client model.
    Sometimes I get exception (When I calling this function I get 90000 rows and then I get this exception...):
    Msg 6260, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
    An error occurred while getting new row from user defined Table Valued Function :
    System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. System.NullReferenceException: v at SDS.FillRow(Object obj, SqlInt32& month, SqlString& datePlanSalary, SqlString& dilerCode, SqlString& dilerName, SqlString&
    model, SqlInt32& countSalary).
    How can I fix this issue?
    My Code:
    public class SDS
    [SqlFunction(SystemDataAccess = SystemDataAccessKind.Read, FillRowMethodName = "FillRow")]
    public static IEnumerable SDSItems(SqlString url, SqlString listName)
    ClientContext context = new ClientContext(url.ToString());
    List list = context.Web.Lists.GetByTitle(listName.ToString());
    CamlQuery query = new CamlQuery();
    query.ViewXml = "<View/>";
    ListItemCollection listItems = list.GetItems(query);
    context.Load(list);
    context.Load(listItems);
    context.ExecuteQuery();
    return listItems;
    public static void FillRow(
    object obj,
    out SqlInt32 month,
    out SqlString datePlanSalary,
    out SqlString dilerCode,
    out SqlString dilerName,
    out SqlString model,
    out SqlInt32 countSalary
    item = (ListItem)obj;
    month = Convert.ToInt32(item["_x041c__x0435__x0441__x044f__x04"]);
    datePlanSalary = Convert.ToString(item["_x0414__x0430__x0442__x0430__x000"]);
    dilerCode = Convert.ToString(item["_x041a__x043e__x0434__x0020__x04"]);
    dilerName = Convert.ToString(item["_x041d__x0430__x0437__x0432__x04"]);
    model = ((FieldLookupValue)item["_x041c__x043e__x0434__x0435__x04"]).LookupValue;
    countSalary = Convert.ToInt32(item["_x041a__x043e__x043b__x0438__x04"]);

    That's not a lot of information to go on, but...
    Can you put a check in your FillRow method for a null object (or one of your fields being null) and put out diagnostic information? Or is it happening in the ListItemCollection iterator itself? (i.e. before it returns a row back to FillRow). If it's happening
    in the iterator, perhaps you could subclass it and return diagnostics at that point.
    I'm also wondering (if it actually always happen at row 90000) if you're hitting a limit in web service call, or iterator, or UDF code. Does the function ever return more than 90000 rows successfully?
    Hope this helps, Bob

    Hi Steffen,
    Please review the following steps.
    1. Install .NET Framework version 1.1 and 2.0 on each application and web server. If required, remove the other versions of .NET.
    2. Install the required .NET 1.1 Hotfix by going to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899511. Since your operating system is Windows 2003 Server, install both 237428_ENU_i386_zip.exe and 237718_ENU_i386_zip.exe.
    To configure the .NET server component, take the following steps:
    1. Update your IIS properties as follows:
       a) Go to Control Panel Administrative Tools Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager .
       b) Within the Osoft Virtual Directory properties, uncheck Index this resource.
       c) Update your IIS properties (Web Service Extensions) to allow ASP .NET 1.1 by finding the Web Service Extensions
           property (the path to it differs for different operating system versions), and updating it to allow ASP .NET 1.1.
    2. Verify that the IIS TCP port configurations for the Web and Server Manager components match your own IIS settings:
       a) In the ..\BPC\Websrvr\web\web.config file on the .NET server, edit the AppServer_URL parameter to indicate the port
           number assigned to IIS.
       b) In the ..\BPC\Server Management\OsoftInstall.xml file on the .NET server, edit the port<PORT>port parameter to indicate the
           port number assigned to IIS.
    Please review the steps mentioned in the installation guide. Try to restart the BPC Components
    Hope this helps.

  • System.NullReferenceException using C#

    Hi,
    I'm trying to write a client application using C# and .Net Framework 2 with Tuxedo 11gR1 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. I don't have access to the server but I know the WSNADDR, services names and input/output FML buffers. I also know there is an older version of Tuxedo in the server because a I have to use "WSINTOPPRE71=yes". The question is I can get results from some services, but with others all I've got is an Exception:
    System.NullReferenceException
    at Bea.Tuxedo.ATMI.AppContext.WrapRawBuffer(TypedBufer& tb, IntPtr buff, Int64 datalen, Int64 flags)
    at Bea.Tuxedo.ATMI.AppContext.tpcall(String svc, TypedBuffer idata, TypedBuffer& odata, Int64 flags).
    I can create the application context using ac = AppContext.tpinit(tpinfo), and indicating ctlname, usrname and password in tpinfo, but ac.tpcall throws this exception. If I use tpacall, the exception is thrown with tpgetrply.
    Any idea?
    Thanks.

    Hi again.
    I've been using .NET Reflector to see where the exception is thrown. The question is tpcall calls the function
    private void WrapRawBuffer(ref TypedBuffer tb, IntPtr buff, long datalen, long flags)
    and this calls
    internal static bool GetTypedBufferInfo(IntPtr buffer, out long size, out string type, out string stype, int flags)
    I was using tpcall with no flags (TPNOFLAGS) and this was causing the execution of the next fragment of code:
    if (!(tb.Type.Equals(str) && tb.Subtype.Equals(str2)))
    When the service didn't find any record, tb.Subtype was a zero length string, but str2 was null, so this throws a NullReferenceException.
    Although I suppose this is not the best solution, I'm using now the value 257 for flags, ant it's working.
    Maybe a bug in libwscdnet.dll version 0.9.1087.4?

  • Judging System Performance ... (was System Overload Problem...)

    In a previous thread (was System Overload Problem...) ... I encountered system overload errors as described, while the system performance monitor showed almost no usage for either the disk I/O or the audio monitors.
    I was just using some audio Instruments and a few plug-in's ( as was listed in the previous thread) ...
    Question: So, and I missing something, or - how can we actually judge the system performance related to actual CPU usage? It seems as though there should be a third column ...
    - 1 for disk I/O
    - 1 for audio
    - 1 for CPU
    I would appreciate any insights on this matter.

    If you do a search for '10010' (also other 1001x errors) or 'error' you'll find plenty of threads of people with the same errors without good reason for the error's description-sometimes it is a driver conflict but the error returned is system overload. These errors are not always indicative of what actually caused the problem.

    And there are many little prefs, processes or actions which may trigger it. Many of them go unresolved.

  • System Overload problem, Cant make sense of help I've been given

    Hey guys, I picked up a cheap version of Logic through my school just over two years ago. I've always used its most simplistic functions for making rough recordings of my band, but over the last 6 months I've been getting into production a lot more. As I got more into using MIDI and Plugins, my system overload problem got worse and worse. Its now at the point where I get an overload literally every two bars of music. Through this support page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3161 I worked out my problem is that one core of my processor is having to do literally everything.
    My knowledge of logics functions is not indepth in the slightest, and I absolutely cannot make sense of the instructions on this page. I dont have an Output 1-2 track, or an Aux 1 / Aux 2 track in my mixer. Moreover I just can't work out what this page is trying to tell me to do to balance the activity between cores.
    If anyone could break the process down into a really simple, laymans terms step by step of what I do, I'd be extremely greatful. Sorry to sound dense but I really have no clue what that support page is telling me to do ha
    Cheers!
    PS running on a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, plenty of Hard Disk space free.

    It'll make a bit more sense when you realise that the aux tracks will apear automatically in the mix window once you send something to an aux via a channel.

  • System config problems please help!!!!

    I bought a windowns recovery disk for my toshiba satellite L450D and everything was okay until I reached theconfiguring system partI left it go for about 2 hours but nothing happened so I restarted and I still have the same problem can someone please help me with this because I don't wanna buy a new computer

    If the recovery disks are not working then it is either an issue with the disks or a hardware issue with the computer.  I would start with the disks.  Contact Toshiba (where you bought the disks) and tell them the disks are not working.  If possible, try and see if they will issue you the recovery media on flash drive as that seems to work better than the cds.  Another thing you can try is (if possible) swapping parts of your computer into a know working computer to ensure they are all in working order (hdd, ram).  It is also not a bad idea to wipe a hdd before attempting to do an install.  this can be accomplished using third party software which can usually be accessed via bootable cd.

  • Macbook Pro (15" mid 2012) system freezing problems

    I've had quite an ordeal with my Macbook Pro over the last few years, so this will be a lengthy question, sorry in advance. Let me get right to it.
    Backstory:
    I bought my MBP 15" new in summer of 2012. I installed 8GB ram that I had laying around. A week or so later I was playing a game (Borderlands) and my computer froze and I was forced to do a hard reset. From then on the computer started completely freezing more and more consistently, and not just with games, but while I was on the internet and in other programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere. and I was forced to do hard restarts often.
    I upgraded to Mountain Lion when it came out, and the problem persisted. The freezing got to the point where the screen would pixelate and get full of artifacts and blocks of glitchy colors while the sound started looping and popping until I did the hard restart. I took the computer into the apple store and they ran some tests and told me that the 8GB of ram I had put in was the wrong speed for my computer, but that as long as I changed it I shouldn't have any problems. I went home, changed my ram back to the original ram that came with my computer, and lo and behold, it got worse. it started to freeze on startup and I would have to try multiple times before it would start up, sometimes it would give me the three beeps, so I knew it was a memory problem. So I bought 16GB of the correct type of ram (1600mhz instead of the 1333mhz) and the problem seemed to stop for a few weeks. Then it started again, slow at first and then in waves where it would freeze multiple times in a row and then not at all for days or even weeks. So i took the ram out and cleaned it, thinking that it might be the ram slots acting up or a bad connection, that wasn't it. I took it back into the store to be tested, but they couldn't reproduce the freezing I had, which is just my luck..soon after that my warranty ran out, so I was on my own. I started to just deal with it because it started happening less often. Finally at the end of this summer I reinstalled OS X Mavericks because I read somewhere that someone was having a similar problem and that fixed it. I did a clean reinstall and it started running great. I started reinstalling the main programs I use (Adobe CS6, Steam, a few games, firefox, VLC, ZBrush) and it was still working fine. I played Borderlands 1 on it and it froze the entire computer soon after I started playing. I thought that might just be because that game is a port and I bought it through the Appstore. So I took it easy and the computer did well. Then I started playing Borderlands 2 (on the lowest settings to be safe) and the computer worked great, even though I played for 3 or 4 hours at a time. I thought all was well now. That was until I came back to school and then last night my computer started freezing again. It is not as bad as before, and I've only been able to reproduce it consistently while playing Borderlands 2, but it bothers me that my computer is not solid, even if it doesn't freeze doing most other things.
    If I thought it would be fine if I stopped playing games on it, then I would stop and be fine with that, but I think the problem is bigger than that, and that is why I am asking for help.
    What I've Tried So Far (in order, kind of):
    1. Changed the ram to 8GB 1333mhz - computer started freezing after that
    2. Took it to the Apple store to get it checked out - they told me it was the ram
    3. I changed the ram back to 4GB 1600mhz - froze worse than before
    4. Bought and put in 16GB 1600mhz - ran fine for a time, then started again
    5. Took it back to the Apple store - Didn't reproduce the results
    6. Uninstalled all games - didn't change anything
    7. Reinstalled OS X Mavericks - Ran fine for a little while, now freezing during games again.
    8. Ran Apple Hardware Test multiple times during all this, it would start and then freeze around 8 minutes in.
    9. Booted in Internet Recovery mode - froze every time and gives me error code -3404D now, which I can't find any information about online.
    10. Ran MemTest through Rember multiple times. Before reinstalling OS X it froze every time, now my ram passes every time.
    11. Checked Activity Monitor, and ran EtreCheck - I'll post the results below, but everything seems normal to me.
    12. Checked memory usage while playing Borderlands 2 (windowed, lowest settings still) the game was using about 1GB of ram, then my computer froze after playing for about 2 minutes.
    13. Also I've taken my ram out and cleaned everything, including fans multiple times throughout this ordeal. My computer would get pretty hot at one point, and I thought it was overheating and maybe disconnecting some solder, so I used to turn it on its side and put a fan on it to cool it down and it would finally restart, but that was before reinstalling OS X and it hasn't been getting that hot recently.

    Let me end by saying thank you in advance. I take pretty great care of this computer (besides mistakenly installing the wrong ram) and physically it is in great condition. I appreciate any help.

    Hi Fonden,
    It sounds like you have been on the right track in troubleshooting this issue. If the crashing or hanging persists, you may want to double-check the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article:
    OS X: When your computer spontaneously restarts or displays "Your computer restarted because of a problem."

  • Time System Advanced Problem Unresolved

    Please see the link for a couple of screen shots. I need to know what the alarm is and why it is happenning.
    https://homepage.usask.ca/~nmz027/
    Background:
    I am running Lookout 6.02, which is connected to a Modicon 984 plc. They are linked by a modbus connection.
    Problem:
    Randomly,
    I receive an error in Lookout " System time advanced 03:34:43.532 from
    5/10/07 15:42:57 to 05/10/07 07:05:06." During this time Lookout is not
    recording any information (trend screens are blank). At the same time
    there is a "No communication response from Modbus secondary" alarm.
    Does anyone know what is causing the problem?
    Some questions I have answered about this problem already:
    Do you programmatically change the Lookout system time in your process? (No)
    Do you set any Time Servers for your process? (No)
    Perhaps it's also because of the Daylight Saving Time. (It is on
    but the clock does not automatically update. Plus this should only
    cause a problem twice a year, not 5 times a week).

    Well it appears that a similar problem exists in ver 6.1. I don't get any alarm or error but the logged data is incorrectly time stamped which makes the hypertrend useless. I can see the Lookout time (lower left of screens) jump ahead 1 hr 11 sec. for a short duration (1-2 minutes) and then return to normal. I've seen it happen twice in succession for a total of 2 min 22 secs. and a few times directly to 2 hrs 22 secs ahead. Problem occurs more than once an hour.
    Lookout 6.1 plus latest published patch
    CPU is genuine Intel
    OS Windows 2000 SP 4
    W2K Daylight savings time patch applied.
