  • Availability check for Make to stock and Make to Order

    Dear All,
Client is selling   Make to stock and make to Order material.
How and what settings need to do for Avaialbility check.or we can use standard one.
I hope in case of Make to Order availability check may not happen.
    Please correct me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Shrikant

    hi,
yes for make to order we dont have AvChk.  for make to stock items u need to follow the
    below configuration.
    Availability check
    1. Availability check is an integral part of the business process that determines if the required delivery quantity can be met on a required delivery date. For this purpose the system takes into account pre-delivery activities such as scheduling for picking or packing times and the time taken to produce or obtain the material. It also performs several background functions such as Backorder processing, rescheduling and ATP quantities.
    2. Backorder processing: processing of a sales order that has not been fully confirmed or not confirmed at a certain delivery date.
    3. Rescheduling: is a proposal of how u2013 confirmed quantities already assigned to a sales order can be reassigned to other sales orders that have a higher priority.
    4. Available to promise (ATP): is a process of checking the available quantities of a material. The ATP quantity consists of warehouse stock + planned receipts (incoming stock) u2013 planned issues (outgoing stock). to examine stock on hand (CO09) proceed to logistics u2013 sales & distribution u2013 sales u2013 environment u2013 availability overview.
    5. Replenishment lead time (RLT): is the time taken for the material to become available either internally (in house production) or externally (from a vendor). The most important things to consider during an external procurement are purchasing and MRP 2 (procurement) views of MMR where the processing time for purchasing, planned delivery time and goods receipt processing time are taken into account. On the other hand internal procurement is based on in house production time (MRP 2 view) goods receipt processing time or alternatively RLT time, which is found on MRP 3 view.
    6. RLT (Replenishment Lead Time) is the time taken for the material to become available. RLT is only used when doing an ATP check (Available To Promise). The value of RLT for a material is specified on material master record.
    7. There are three types of availability checks u2013
Check on basis of ATP quantities.
    Check against product allocation.
    Check against planning.
Configuring Availability check through Checking Groups u2013
    1. The checking group + checking rule determine how the availability check is to be performed.
    2. The checking group determines whether and how the system checks the stock availability and generates requirements for material planning. The checking group defines what type of requirements will be passed on i.e. summarized requirements (daily/weekly) or individual requirements for each sales order.
    3. The checking rule applies to how the availability check is to be carried out at the transaction level. Note that you must define checking rules for each individual application such as for production orders for example. In Sales and Distribution, the checking rule is specified internally within the system and cannot be changed.
    4. The checking rule, in conjunction with the checking group, determines the scope of the availability check for every business operation; that is, which stocks, receipts and issues are to be included in the availability check and whether the check is to be carried out with or without the replenishment lead time.
    5. Briefly explaining the above u2013 checking group determines which type of requirement to be passed on to MRP whether it be individual or summarized and checking rule which is at the transaction level and can be configured independently for each application module, determines which stocks, receipts and issues to be taken into account. For performing an availability check checking group has to work in conjunction with checking rule.
    6. Advantages of individual processing over summarized processing u2013
    Backorder processing is possible.
You can access (MD04) order, line and schedule line individually which gives a greater control on available stock and requirements placed on stock.
The system automatically uses individual requirements in case of special stock items.
    7. Required data for the Availability check to be carried out u2013
The Availability check must be switched on at the requirement class level.
The Availability check must be set at the schedule line level.
A requirements type must exist by which the requirements class can be found.
A plant must be defined in the sales order for each schedule line item (in other words plant must be defined for every material in MMR).
A checking group must be defined in the material master record in the MRP3 screen in the availability check field.
    8. Configuring Availability check and defining Checking Groups u2013
Checking groups are introduced into the sales order based on the setting in the material master record.
SAP standard checking groups are 01 u2013 summarized requirements and 02 u2013 individual requirements or you can create your own by copying the standard ones.
Total sales and total deliveries columns are there to configure a checking rule to sum up requirements to post to MRP either individually or by day or week.
Block quantity required can be set if you want several users to be able to process the material simultaneously in different transactions without blocking each other.
The no check indicator is CHECKED when you DO NOT want the system to carry out ATP check.
    9. Defining material block for other users u2013 the block check box is an indicator that enables you to block material master records of a particular material during the availability check and restrict other users from accessing same master record and reserve the material. If the block is not set, two users can confirm the same material at the same time for two different orders, not knowing if the stock is available or not. If you select this field, the material is blocked during the availability check and other users cannot: a) Make changes in the material master record. b) Create purchase orders for the material. C) Create orders for the material.
    10. Defining default values for checking groups - Checking groups are introduced into the sales order based on the setting in the material master record.
However if there is no entry present in the material master record for the checking group, a default value can be set here, depending on material type and plant.
This default value will be used by the system depending on the material type mentioned in MMR and plant in sales order.
If an entry exists, this default value is over written by MMR.
    11. Controlling Availability Check u2013 in this section, you tell the system what stock on hand and what inward and outward movements of stock it must take into account when performing the availability check in addition to whether or not to consider the replenishment lead time.
    12. These settings are based on the checking group that is assigned to the material master record and the checking rule that is predefined and assigned to the sales and distribution transaction.
    13. These settings carry out control both for sales order and delivery as well. This is due to the fact that you may want to include specific stock or incoming stock for the sales order, yet at the time of the delivery only include physical stock on hand waiting to be shipped.
    14. It is possible to indicate to the system that you would like the availability check NOT TO CHECK the stock at the storage location level. This indicator is used to set the scope of the availability check.
    15. It is used to switch off the check at storage location level. You create a reservation for a particular storage location. However, the scope of the availability check is set in such a way as to exclude the storage location. In this case, the system carries out the check at plant level only and does not take the storage location into account that is specified in the reservation.
    16. Should you not want the system to automatically check RLT, you may indicate so here. RLT is the time taken for a material to become available. It is only used when doing an ATP check and is taken from MMR.
    17. Defining the elements in the availability check entirely depends on the business needs, but a few tips are given under u2013
When controlling the Availability check at the time of the sales order, a purchase requisition does not necessarily indicate by it is going to come into the plant.
A shipping notification on the other hand - a confirmed purchase order u2013 is a good indicator of receiving stock on a specified date.
It is always recommended not to select the shipping notifications for the delivery requirements type as you may not actually receive the stock into plant or warehouse for which you are creating a delivery.

  • What Systems are the Pros Using for Premier, After Effects, and SpeedGrade?

I bought the full Creative Cloud in hopes of making a career for myself in audio/visual editing. The problem is, my system doesn't seem to be able to handle the software, particularly when changing back and forth between the three programs mentioned above. Beyond that, my first project failed to export properly. Moreover, all throughout its development the system lagged badly. And this is after having followed all the preferences recommendations available in the Adobe's tutorials and elsewhere on the Web.
    Here's my system:
SYX-P67A-C43: Intel Core i7 2600 (an 8-core unit) at 3.4GHz, with 8 Gigs of RAM (soon to be 16) with a GTX 550 NVidia Card, 1Gig of RAM.
As you can see, this is far in excess of what Adobe claims to be the minimum system requirements. It's obviously NOT.
What systems are the Pros using (like the guys in the tutorials) for Premier, After Effects, and SpeedGrade? Give me the exact machines with all the specs so I can price one up.

...although a little " old" now.....the fundamentals of your machine are still OK to get started IF you : 1. INCREASE your system memory to the full 32 GB....should make a BIG difference in performance.....8 GB is NOT enough, it will HINDER performance. 2. OVERCLOCK your CPU !!!.....many owners of your CPU have been safely running at 4.5 Ghz or HIGHER...some at 4.8 Ghz !!! This OC will make a DRAMATIC improvement  as  CPU speed is a huge factor in performance. 3. Improve your video card to a new NVidia 970 with 4 GB of video memory. 4. Check and MAKE SURE the power supply in your machine is ADEQUATE to handle everything, esp. if you overclock the CPU....generally 850 to 1,000 watts of a quality make is good. 5. Use a fast storage system...that means a SATA III SSD as your "C" drive, ( boot drive), being a Crucial M550 series,( or, M600 series), OR, a Samsung 850 Pro series SSD, ( more expensive). Other SSDs are NOT recommended, only these two makes are recommended for technical reasons. On this "C" drive, you should have Operating system, Programs, and Windows page file ONLY !! Your "D" drive can be ANOTHER single SSD to be used as a "cache drive" for all the previews, media cache, and cache files that Premier Pro creates PLUS, it can ALSO serve as the "Global Performance cache" used in After Effects. All your media and project files can go on your "E" drive. HERE you would have LIMITED OPTIONS because your motherboard only has TWO SATA III ports, ( which would already be used b the "C" and "D" SSDs). You NOW have only 4 SATA II ports left ......you COULD RAID 0 four 1 TB HDDs off these ports and have a 4TB backup drive connected to one of your TWO USB 3 external ports.....any DVD or Blue-ray can ALSO go on an external port.
However, if you are into spending REAL MONEY !!!.....Go Haswell E and X99 all the way !!...THAT will give you great performance !!

  • T-43 Procedure for HDD UP grade and clean windows 7 Install

Does any one know of  good step by step outrline for installing a 230 HDD in a T-43 1875 DLU and then a clean install of windows 7 ?  Manhy thanks in advancxe fore your help. . .
    T-43 1875 DLU windown XP SP3 Pentium M 1.73 Gz 2 Gb RAM 60 gb HDD 6c Li;Ion batty
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thank you, George.  That is just what I was trying to do.
I am installing windows 7 on a T-43 with a new 320 GB HDD. I know about the problem.  With the Windows 7 DVD in the slot, I boot and
a window comes up "Installing Windows"  then
    Load driver
Select the driver to be installed
Hide drivers that are not compatible with hardware on this computer?
    Browse        Rescan
I have tried every file that appears when I browse, but none is installed.
    It then tells me
"No device drivers were found.  Make sure that the
installation media contains the right drivers and click next"
I believe the "installation media" is the Windows 7 DVD and I don't think there are
any IBM/Lenovo drivers on it.  Does anyone know what can I do to get beyond this
    place?
I must've missed something because it is usually easier than this, or I AM getting
    SLOWER. . .
I have downloaded all the Windows 7 drivers for the T-43 1875 DLU and have
them on a flash drive ready to drag and drop into Windows 7 when it appears. I am
DOS ignorant, having started to learn computers
in 1995, with Windows 3, I believe.  I am now 81 years old and slowing fast.
I'd like to get this laptop set up for my old age!

  • How to make my log and capture window bigger

Ok, at first my log and capture window was fine, then after closing it and reopening one time, it got smaller. I do not know how I made it smaller. Are there key combos that can help me make it bigger once again?

I believe it's based on the size of your CANVAS window. Make that bigger and you'll get a bigger Log and Capture window.
    Good luck,

  • How to check availabe updates for apps in iTunes 11.0 (Windows)?

In older versions of iTunes in my laptop, there is a place to click to check for available updates when I see there are updates in the App Store icon in my iPhone.
Then the Apps updates are downloaded to the laptop and then I can sync the iPhone.
But I just can't find such a button to download Apps updates in the latest 11.0 iTunes.
Please help. Right now, I'm installing the updates via 3G which can be slow.
    Thanks,
    Taijiboy

In ITunes Store there is a Library Button in the upper right hand corner.  Left Click on the down arrow on this button and a drop down menu will appear.  Click on the Apps Button which will open your Apps page.  On the bottom right hand corner is a button labeled check for updates.  Left click on the button.
In your account there is an ITunes Store Button in the upper right hand corner.  Left Click on this button to toggle to the Library Button, then follow the instructions above.

  • I have a state space model of a complex system. can anyone help me for implementing MPC and e-MPC control for the same?????

Hi everyone. I am new to the forums, so let me be as mprecise as possible. i know the basic functionalities of Labview with MPC block etc. However, i dont know how to go ahead with implementing MPC control for a system whose state space model i possess. can anyone help me out?? the problem is that i dont even know the approach or the starting point..

This happens if you remove a program manually, but still have the registry keys to load files from this program.<br />
You can use the MSConfig program or the Autoruns utility to see which software and services are getting started.
You can use registry editor and do a search (Ctrl+D) for imesh to see if you can locate the registry key(s) that launches this program on a reboot.
Try to ask advice at a Windows oriented forum if you can't fix this.

  • Which codec and settings (HD) for both QT OSX and QT Windows ?

I make short HD (1280x960 or 1280x720) movies with FCE 4.
But my files don't play in QT for Windows. They are encoded with AIC and I just have a black screen with audio...
Which HD encoding will be "universal" and played on any computer?

AIC is an editing codec and not intended for use as a delivery codec.
H.264 video codec and AAC audio is the best combination.

  • In previous period posting system is allowing less qty for goos issue

    Dear All,
I am doing goods issue in previous period.Though in material master previous period system is showing 0.125 MT of material ,in MB5B same quantity of material in previous period is available also I checked in MB51 for all material document and transactions ,still system is allowing me to issue only 0.046 MT not
0.125MT. What may be the reason--but it is allowing 0.125 MT for current period.
    Thanking you in advance
    Mrinmoy Chakraborty

    Hi,
Please check your stock detail for your material with MB5B in back date.
And check in back date the stock is available for your requirement.

  • Consumption for make to order

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement ...." When I run MRP for the sale order for the finished product , system is creating palnning praposals for FERT material BOM and next level BOM'S also. But my requirement is  If stocks are there , system has to consume the stocks first of all RM's and HALB materials" .
I have maintained Collective requirements in MRP4 view for all materials , but still system is not considering my stocks .
Plz suggest me how to achieve this .
    Thanks & regards
    Prabhakar

    Hi,
MRP will create dependent requirements for Raw Materials and HALB materials based on the FERT requirement. If system does not find available inventory for Raw Materials and HALB to meet the demand it will create the planning proposal (Planned Order) for lower level elements also.
Go to MD04 screen for the HALB materials and check what is the current situation (stocks...dependent reservations etc...)
    Try and revert back.

  • Explanation on use of Strategies for Make to Order/ Make to stock scenario

    Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario. In the BOM, the final Finished Product was to be made for make to order. There are two semi finished material below that. One I want to use it for make to stock and another for make to order. There is one more raw material at the bottom level which I want for make to stock. So I want to know what are the strategies I can use in the material master at all the levels for this scenario. Can anyone explain how can I do it in SAP?
    Regards,
    Brijesh

    Dear Brijesh,
This indicator will determine the component how it should get produced either individually or collectively
    Example
Fert 1 - strategy 20, requirement for this fert Via sales order is 10
Fert 2 - strategy 40  requirement for this fert Via sales order/demand management is 10
ROH is used in both Ferts and mainatined in BOM and also set to indicator 2 ( Colletive ) in MMR
    ROH requiement for fert 1 -1 ( BOM )
    ROH requiement for fert 2 -1 ( BOM )
after MRP system will create only 1 PR for total qty 20
If ROH is set to 1 ( individually ) then
after MRP system will create 2 PR's as 10 each
    Hope it answers your query
    Regards

  • Error connecting multiple BW systems to one OLTP system

    Hi BW Gurus,
As part of a major project we had to create a copy of our production BW system and thus have two BW systems connected to one production R/3 system. Before we proceed with the production systems, we decided to try it out with our staging systems.
    1) Created a copy of STG BW (already connected to STG R/3) and renamed it to TST BW.
    2) Transaction BDLS, renamed the logical system ID
    3) Made sure all partner profiles were available and active
    4) Since there was no connection between TST BW and R/3 STG, tried to activate the source system in TST BW. As per OSS note 886102, tried the restore functionality but we are running into a strange error.
Table RSBASIDOC in the source system already has an entry for STG R/3 and STG BW with IDOC TYP ZSSA015 and Prefix "SA" and now it complains that since this prefix alrady exists, it cannot create another entry with the same prefix for TST BW and STG R/3. It gives us the option to delete the existing entry and create a new one for TST BW. This in turn de-activates the delta between STG BW and STG R/3 and we can successfully initialize with the new system.
This process turned the queue entry in RSA7 red for STG BW and created a new one for TST BW (green). Delta stopped working for STG BW.
How can I have both the systems connected and run delta process simulataneously? I have read OSS note 775568 but this is after the fact that the two systems are already connected.
If I have to start from scratch, can someone please outline the steps involved?
Do I have to restore the source system or is there an alternate way? I cannot see how the delta would work if there is no connection betweeen the two systems.
Do I even need to worry about initializing with the TST BW System or can I just run the delta process and it would automatically add another entry in RSA7.
Any help would be truly appreciated and rewarded!!
    Thank You.
    Sreedhar

Looks like a much bigger issue than that. We did create the partner profile in WE20 but that didn't help either. It still complains about the prefix. This 2 Character prefix value is actually derived as the concatenation of the first letter of the BW system name and starting alphabet in a sequence. In our example STG BW has prefix of SA and the basic idoc type is ZSSA015. Based on this, TST BW system should have prefix of TA and basic idoc type might be ZSTA016. The program initially looks at RSBASIDOC table for source system and finds value SA and complains that this cannot be used again.
I have seen messages in this forum where people have actually done this and hopefully someone would reply back as to how to resolve this issue.
My main question though is, do we have to restore or activate or do not have to do anything to the source system after the copy of BW systems? None of the above three options seem to work for us right now.
    Any ideas?
    Thank You
    Sreedhar
