T1 Bearer Channels Admin Down

I have 24 T1's on a 3945 gateway running IOS 15.2(1)T2, the first 6 T1's bearer channels show as down down, and D-channel for each T1 is showing up up (spoofing). The other 18 T1's bearer channels are showing Admin down down, and D-channel for each of these T1's is showing up up (spoofing). This abnormality is causing problems with our monintoring system but not with the processing of calls.
Any idea as to what would cause the bearer channels to set to Admin down?

Message: Port 'Serial0/0/0:9-Bearer Channel' is down on device
    any toughts thanks

    Hi Juan,
I also face the same issue on my switch port. What TAC Engineer advice me is to :
1- configure "no snmp trap link-status" on the interface
    2- re-sync the device.

  • Sender Communication Channel going down

    Hi Experts,
We are on XI 7.0 with patch level SP12. We are having one problem. when we are starting the Sender JDBC communicaton channel it is working fine for the first time. but the moment there is any change in the sender or Receiver RFC communication channel. may be due to wrong system ID etc. the Sender JDBC channel goes down. Actually it shows it is running but it does not poll / pick up any records.
pl. note that subsequent changes which we had done to either to Sender JDBC channel or Receiver RFC has been rectified & re-deployed.
This problem get solved if we create a New Sender JDBC Channel.(But i guess that should not be the soluation)
I have used the following Modules in Sender JDBC channel.
    AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean
    localejbs/CallSapAdapter
    AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean
    Pl. Help.....
    Regards,
    Umesh

Does it go down even if a message is processed succefully or just if there is some error with the configuration?

  • 802.1a is admin down. wlc 4402 and ap1252

    Hello all,
I am trying to enable the 802.11a and use the 5Ghz band in my house. However, I am having difficulty in doing this. Please see screenshot below. I have select AU (Australia) as my regulatory domain (2nd image). 802.11a band is enabled(3rd image), but the interface is still down (1st image). Australia regulatory code is -Z. Not sure why -A and -N are showing up

In the cli, the dot11 radio interface is down. This might be the issue? If so, how would I turn this on from the wlc management page?

Note: I've tried other regulatory domains - US, US and Mexico, but to no avail.
note 2: now, both radio interfaces are admin down.

  • SNMP trapping PRI channels up/down

    Hi guys.
I am re-configuring some routers to generate traps for our new monitoring tool.
I have noticed that after I applied the snmp trap configs that we are getting traps for PRI channels (30 voice channels), which I wouldn´t like to. This happens when users are using the voice channels on demand. When they hang up, the used channel goes down and I get a trap.
Basically, regargint the controller, the only interface that I must monitor is the signaling one (my case is the channel 0/3/0:15) or if the entire controller goes down.
    Below, the snmp trap config:
    snmp-server ifindex persist
    snmp-server trap-source Loopback0
snmp-server enable traps snmp linkdown linkup coldstart warmstart
    snmp-server enable traps envmon
    snmp-server enable traps isdn layer2
    snmp-server enable traps isdn chan-not-avail
    snmp-server enable traps isdn ietf
    snmp-server enable traps bgp
    snmp-server enable traps hsrp
    snmp-server enable traps ipsla
    snmp-server enable traps voice poor-qov
Could you please help me to figure out how I can solve this?
Also, if you guys have any other advises and more ways to monitor the voice environment.
    Thanks in advance

  • Customs alerts when a port-channel is down.

    Hi,
I want to receive syslog alerts when a  port-channel is down, or when a interface from the port-channel is down  or if is possible to know when a neighbors is unreacheable or lost.
Is  possible?? I have tried to configure Automated Actions in the tool  syslogs on RME (LMS 3.2) when a interface is down (LINK-*-3-UPDOWN:*  LINK-*-5-CHANGED:* LINK-*-5-UPDOWN:*), but I received alerts messages  from others interfaces when only I want the interfaces that form the  port-channels.
    Thanks,

Well if it's the only remaining channel link, the port-channel goes down.  If not the only remaining channel link, the port-channel continues without it.  As you note, you lose bandwidth and I believe traffic will be rehashed across the remaining channel links, which can result in less optimal load distribution.
Protocols like STP or a routing protocol shouldn't see a link outage or flap.

  • Deployed portlet not seen under New channel drop down

    Hi,
I need to add a new portlet to my portal so user can select it under her content configuration page.
I have added the new portlet to a user's profile via the portlet admin console.
But the new portlet channel is not available in user's content configuration page.
    Any Idea ?
(i'm working on Sun ONE Identity Server 6.1 and Sun ONE Application Server 7.0.0_01 on Solaris 5.8).
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Iris

    Hi,
This problem occurs when display profile is not updated with portlet provider for some reasons
    Tips :
    1. Please check if Webcontainer instance is up.
    2. login to psconsole -> portals tab -> click on the portal name -> Click Add dn button and search for the dn to which you deployed the portlet -> Add it -> select
it from the select DN listbox and then download the display profile(dp)
If the portlet provider which you deployed is not present in the display profile
, then please undeploy the portlet and try deploying again.
    3) Before running the the portlet deploy, set the logger to FINEST and see if any errors are thrown, basically if should show dp updated and war file deployed.
    ./psadmin set-logger -u amadmin -f ps_password -m pas -O debug.com.sun.portal -L
    FINEST
    tail -f /var/opt/SUNWportal/logs/admin/portal.0.0.log

  • Xserve Raid will not mount - fibre channel link down

I came back from being out of town and my Xserve is running, but will not mount on the G5 tower via fibre channel. It was powered off and up again and still nothing. Apple tech says to reset raid controllers, however, I have sensitive data on the drives and lots of video/FCP projects on there. It has just run out of warranty and now asked to pay $199 per incident to get any help. I will gladly take any help.
Read the boards, ran Disk Utility and still did not show up.
Also, told the fibre cables tend to "burn out" but have yet to spend money if this is not the problem.
    Thanks.

Resetting the controllers is non-destructive. However, if you power-cycled the array, that should take care of it.
told the fibre cables tend to "burn out"
I've never experienced (or heard of this) myself, and have never had a problem on any of my arrays, some of which have been running for years with zero problems. Of course, environment (especially heat) could play a part, but it seems a little bit of a stretch to me.
Does RAID Admin have anything to say about the RAID?

  • Administration port - network channel for admin traffic

I am trying to configure a separate channel for Administration traffic on weblogic. I followed the oracle docos and configured the SSL, domain wide admin port, server listen address, ‘admin’ channel.
The issue is admin traffic in not happening through the newly created channel.
L2 network is not getting used. I can’t see any activity in the monitoring tab of new Channel. Also the netstat is showing that the port 9101/9102 is getting used on the 192.168.100.218 and not on 10.254.252.849.
I also tried by setting up the newly created channel weight as 51, but no luck.
Is JMX connectivity related to admin channel?
Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi
For first question the answer is no. With the administration port, you enable the SSL between the admin server and Node manager-managed Servers. You can still use the web console.
For teh second question, you can use ANT or can use the WLS Scripting ..you can get more details in dev2dev.bea.com

  • AS5400 & ISDN D-channel operation

Newby to AS5400, bear with me.
The primary d-channel is out of service and backup is inservice, layer 3 calls are being made, telco says circuit is fine, how can D-channel be down? There are 7 NFAS's...Thanks in advance..

    Hi,
it sounds like you have configured pri-groups with NFAS on your controllers... like this:
    controller E1 1/0
    pri-group timeslots 1-31 nfas_d primary nfas_int 0 nfas_group 0 service mgcp
In this case the D-Chan from the primary NFAS is automatically reserved for signaling by the IOS.
Sorry but i don't remember the document on CCO.
Might be the answer on your question.

  • InDesign CS5 will not import Alpha Channels from images saved in Photoshop CS6

Just searched through the forums to find this thread in the (now-Read Only) Photoshop CS6 Beta forum:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4310886
Which is exactly the same issue I'm having. I just cropped about a 1000 images with alphas originally created in PS5 and resaved using PS6.
My client still uses CS5 and the images won't recognize the alpha channels in inDesign5.
I see in this thread that it said a fix for older versions of inDesign was being worked on, this was back in April.
Any news on these fixes? (before I open PS5 and resave all these files)

    Hi Peter,
The images in question all use alpha channels to mask out the image backgrounds (usually white) in InDesign layouts.
I opened the images in PS6 to crop out excess background (to get file size down) and saved the new files.
When I go to import the images one by one into InDesign 5 (via Cmd-D, Import options ticked) the Alpha Channel pull down menu is greyed out and I'm unable to select the Alpha Channel.
If I open the image in PS5 and resave, I'm then able to access the Alpha channels in ID5... but that's a lot of images to go back through to fix.
I also tried opening the layout in ID6 (where the alpha channels do work) and saving down to the idml format. When opening up in ID5 the alpha channel is no longer recognized and the background of the image that was masked out is now visible.
    Cheers,

  • Dlsw using port channel

I have 2 dlsw router at head quater office, named dlswA and dlswB.
From branches router, dlswA is a primary peer and dlswB is a backup peer.
Both dlswA and B have 2 fast ethernet interfaces.
The current configuration of dlswA and dlswB are 1 port as IP port and other port as sna/bridge port.
With this configuration the problem is when SNA port at dlswA problem, then dlsw circuit will have the problem, because dlsw peer from branches still connected to dlswA.
if I configure 2 fast ethernet port become a port channel. And configure IP and bridge group at port channel interface (IP and SNA at the same interfaces), so when the port channel is down, then branches will connect to dlswB as a backup peer
Are the port channel configuration will solve the problem ? How about the stability of this configuration?

    Thank Matthias for your reply.
Both of head end routers are on the same vlan and the host is using same mac address.
As far as i know if from branch have 2 active peer with cost setup, there will loops posibility because both head end routers are using ethernet with same vlan and same host mac address.
I test the port channel within my LAB using netbios, seem works as expected. when single port at port channel down, branch circuit still remain at dlswA router, when all port channel member down, the branch peering move to dlswB.
    Here are the config:
    hostname dlswA
    dlsw local-peer peer-id 192.168.255.1 promiscuous
    dlsw bridge-group 1
    interface Port-channel10
    ip address 192.168.255.1 255.255.255.248
    bridge-group 1
    interface FastEthernet0/0
    no ip address
    duplex auto
    speed auto
    channel-group 10
    interface FastEthernet0/1
    no ip address
    duplex auto
    speed auto
    channel-group 10
    end
    hostname dlswB
    dlsw local-peer peer-id 192.168.255.10 promiscuous
    dlsw bridge-group 1
    interface Port-channel11
    ip address 192.168.255.10 255.255.255.248
    bridge-group 1
    interface FastEthernet0/0
    no ip address
    duplex auto
    speed auto
    channel-group 11
    interface FastEthernet0/1
    no ip address
    duplex auto
    speed auto
    channel-group 11
    end
    Hostname Branch
    dlsw local-peer peer-id 172.16.0.1
    dlsw remote-peer 0 tcp 192.168.255.1
    dlsw remote-peer 0 tcp 192.168.255.10 backup-peer 192.168.255.1 linger 0
    dlsw bridge-group 1
    interface Loopback0
    ip address 172.16.0.1 255.255.255.255
    interface FastEthernet0/1
    no ip address
    duplex auto
    speed auto
    bridge-group 1
But I'm not sure this scenario will work for sna application like ATM machine, and SNA SAA gateway.
Please kindly advised, Is there any alternatif ?

  • MPLS pseudowire Up on one side Down on the other

    Hello,
I'm trying to setup another pseudowire between a 6509-E 12.2(17r)S4 and a 7201 12.4(12.2r)T. The 6509 says the vc is up:
    Switch#show mpls l2transport vc
Local intf     Local circuit              Dest address    VC ID      Status
    Gi4/1           Ethernet                   172.29.255.7    77         UP
But on the 7201 I'm getting:
    Router#show mpls l2transport vc
Local intf     Local circuit              Dest address    VC ID      Status
    Gi0/3          Ethernet                   172.29.255.10   77         DOWN
When I run show mpls l2transport vc detail it looks like:
    Switch:
    VC statistics:
transit packet totals: receive 0, send 35308
transit byte totals:   receive 0, send 2745983
transit packet drops:  receive 0, send 0
    Router:
    VC statistics:
packet totals: receive 35414, send 0
byte totals:   receive 2754295, send 0
packet drops:  receive 0, seq error 0, send 1421389
Weird that the switch is sending but not receiving and the router is receiving but not sending.
    The topoligy is:
    [6509-E] <-> [7201transit] <-> [7201]
The transit router has mpls ip enabled and has another functional pseudowire running across it.
Thanks in advance I'm pretty new to MPLS, please let me know if you need more information, I can post configs etc.

    Hey Negandra,
Thank you for your response! How do I know if I have SIP/ES/ES+ cards?  The two types of cards I have in the chassis are:
    48  SFM-capable 48 port 10/100/1000mb RJ45 WS-X6548-GE-TX
    24  CEF720 24 port 1000mb SFP
    Are either of those capable?
    --Will
    *EDIT*
Also I have tried to terminate the pseudowire to a SVI on the 6509-E but I can't get it to come online.
    CORE#show mpls l2transport vc
Local intf     Local circuit              Dest address    VC ID      Status
    Gi4/3          Ethernet                   172.x.x.x    2          ADMIN DOWN
    Gi3/46         Ethernet                   172.x.x.x    123        UP
    Gi4/48         Ethernet                   172.x.x.x    1337       DOWN
    Gi4/5          Ethernet                   172.x.x.x    4          ADMIN DOWN
    Vl7            Eth VLAN 7                 172.x.x.x    7          DOWN
    CORE#show run int vlan7
    Building configuration...
    Current configuration : 91 bytes
    interface Vlan7
    no ip address
    xconnect 172.29.255.7 7 encapsulation mpls
    end
If I configure the pseudowire on a physical interface on the switch it comes up, what am I missing? Hardware limitation?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Can PCM multi-channel wav (not DD or DTS) be sent over SPDIF

<Can PCM multi-channel wav (not DD or DTS) be sent over SPDIF? --- X-Fi Elite Pro SB055A and Audio Creation Mode ---
If I understand correctly, SPDIF format can support uncompressed MULTICHANNEL wav format (within the limitations of its bandwidth) as well as the more usual DD or DTS encoded format on SPDIF.
One of the neat things about Creative's Audio Creation Mode in the Recorder section is the ability to actually record to a multi-wav format (but the sample size seems to be fixed at 24 bit). This means it is quite simple to have several mixer inputs and record a mixed multi-channel wav file in one go. Great and this works as expected with a 5. ?24 bit/48 kHz recorded test file.
My question is when one plays this recorded multi-channel wav file back, the mixer monitor (playback) shows the various 5. (say) channels with their separate content. Can this multi-channel *uncompressed* wav data? be sent over the SPDIF output as is to preserve the PCM quality? (so no DD or DTS encoding used)? I have tried this and I?ONLY seem to be able to get a STEREO (2 channel mixed down) version received at another SPDIF-in sound card (my Audigy 2ZS PCMCIA). I tried almost all selections at both ends involving SPDIF.

@? In answer to my own question, and I think I had known this a while back, SPDIF standard only supports transmission of either 2 channel PCM (uncompressed) stereo with up to 24 bit resolution per channel and up to as much as 92 kHz sampling frequency, or compressed (DD or DTS) multichannel audio up to 5..
Since each frame of SPDF is 64 bits in length (with a single sample of L and R channels plus extra bits of status in each frame), at 92 kHz max sampling rate, this translates to about 3 Mbits/sec bit rate. However most SPDF don't support the 92 kHz rate (which for 24 bit would be the stereo rate for DVD-Audio) for various copyright protection reasons.
Here is short demonstration of SPDIF transmission of 24bit/96 kHz between two sound cards with and without "bit accurate for playback" enabled:
