T400 Flickering Screen problem

I am having a problem where my computer screen keeps flickering, especially during start up and afterwards. It doesnt matter whether it is plugged in or not. It is similar to this video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MOv_NsFqpQ&noredirect=1
I took it to my tech support and no one had any idea what to do about it. In addition, images on random websites (anything from huffington post to yelp) only half load. I uninstalled and reinstalled my browsers and updated my drivers.
This laptop has given me problems since I bought it. I once sent it into lenovo for repair and it had to be sent right back again. Another time i got a replacement battery and it arrived coated in sand and seemed worse than the original - (but was going abroad so I couldnt wait for another replacement.)
Since it is out of warranty, I am wondering if there is any way to fix this or whether I need to get a new laptop. Thanks!

  • HP HDX16 Screen Problem (Fuzzy, blurry, flickering)

So, I'm having some issues with my HDX which has been flawless. It'sjust over 18months old.
One day all of a sudden the screen went fuzzy. I noticed when I bring the screen down (toward closing position) it then sharpens up and goes back to normal but only at that angle.
At first when this happened, the longer the laptop was on, the further I could push the screen back without it going fuzzy.
But now I can't and I can only view the screen at quite a low angle, it's very close to the keyboard. I've noticed it's going lower and lower each day!!
When the screen goes fuzzy it can be just fuzzy or even a coloured fuzz (different variety). It can also flicker to normal and fuzzy when I’m trying to find that angle where I can get a clear screen.
I’ve looked online and people have tried changing the inverter but the problem is still there, even buying a new lcd!! But it still could be one of them.
I know it’s not an lcd problem as the screen is flawless when I find that clear angle. Any suggestion please? I have a feeling it’s going to reach a point when I won’t be able to see anything at all and it’ll stay fuzzy.
I just called HP and they offer NO support for HDX models if it's got to do with the screen. But if it's for example a keyboard or non screen related problem they are willing to do an out of warranty repair.
I obviouslt questioned the guy and said it must mean you guys have a lot of screen problems but he claims all aprts are out of stock and product is discontinued. Surely they would still have a lot of parts anyway.
    Anyone else have any suggestions?

If the external display works well then there could very well be a loose connector causing the problem. That will require disassembly to investigate.

  • Flickering Screen and Lack of Full Screen Support, Flickering Screen and Lack of Full Screen Support

    Hi,
I ran into a few things related to using my Bootcamp MacBook Pro 15” 2011 that I purchased 2012Mar. Having issues on the Mac side, with an external monitor. I bought a ViewSonic VX2753mh LED monitor, hooked it up to my laptop, started in Mac OS and seemed to be going good, able to get 1080p, 1920x1080 res on the monitor even though the 2011 MacBook doesn’t have that resolution on the actual attached screen. BUT, the Viewsonic started to intermittently turn off and back on, in addition when I tried to play a movie (or even a slideshow) in full screen (not mirrored), so that I could surf and watch the movie or slideshow, the full screen version of either would be placed back on my laptop screen while the external monitor had a generic grey with vertical lines screensaver pop up, or vica versa. If I played the movie in a small screen it was ok. Have heard a lot of issues with “flickering”. As for the application situation, maybe that’s something I don’t know about yet since I’m new to Mac. Can I play something like slideshow or a movie in full screen on an external monitor while I surf or type on the laptop monitor? Any ideas on either issue?
    Thanks in advance !!!

Ok, so I solved my full screen problem with VLC, both slideshows of my pics running full screen on external moniter while I work on laptop, and with movies, still getting my external monitor flickering on and off, other threads stop around May, is there anything new ?

  • Flickering Screen issue after Mavericks update released on Feb 26, 2014

I own a Macbook Retina display bought in early 2014. After installing the recent Maverick update released around Feb 26, 2014 the display developed flickering problem while scrolling and now the scrolling is not smooth any more. The originally shipped machine did not have this problem. I tested other software including Photoshop and the display still flickers while panning the canvas. I also tried resetting the SMC - System Management Controller but it didn't work along with other attempts of resetting the disk permissions, running a systems cleaner, changing the wifi-router etc.
How to fix this flickering screen issue?

The problem came back lately and I tried this solution and it worked. Go to system settings > power saver > and switch off the Automatic Graphic switching. Not sure if this is a good solution, but it seem to have worked for the time being.

  • Macbook  flickering screen & freeze, then won't boot pass the apple logo

    Hi Guys,
My macbook is driving me insane now. Just recently, my macbook has occasionally flickering screen and freezes after that. Yesterday, when I was watching youtube on fullscreen, it first has flickering screen, then freezes. So I hard booted it pressing the power button. Then, when I try to restart it, it won't boot pass the apple logo no matter what.
    Here's my macbook spec
    2007 Summer Macbook Pro 15"
    Snow Leopard 10.6 OS X
I cracked my screen once, and got a replacement, don't know if that matters.
    I've tried the following:
Safe mood reboot, the progress bar goes about half, then disappears and stalls again.
Booted in verbose mode but it gives a warning message:
'com.apple.driver. internalmodemsupport declares no kernel dependencies; using com.apple.kernal.6.0'.
Booted in Single user mood, and typed fsck for disk repair. After checking said the volume Macintosh HD appears to be ok. But still won't boot pass the apple logo after restart.
Boot with installation disk pressing C at startup. Success after a few try:
Opened Disk Utility and did disk repair (no problem found).
Reinstalled Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.
This time it booted with Finder and everything for a short while, then the screen flicker and freezes again (before I can backup anything!). Then, I can't reboot pass the apple logo again.
When I try to reinstall Leopard OS X 10.5 with installation disk, the macbook seems to try to read the disk, but won't boot. I've got a CD stuck in the optical drive now.
I've tried everything I can find online short of opening it up and send it into the oven for baking! I pray it's not a hardware problem, coz I'm no good at that. (QAQ~~~) Please help me!
Thank you very, very, very much!!!
ps. this is my first post. please let me know if I have missed anything.

Reboot the machine holding the trackpad or left wired mouse button down, that shoudl force eject the 10.5 disk.
Reinstalled Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.

Ok, so your attempting data recovery efforts.
First get the 10.5 disk out of the machine, like above.
You can also boot into Single User mode, (command s at reboot) and enter
    /usr/bin/drutil eject
    then type
    restart
Next hold c boot and use the 10.6 disk and create a data recovery drive here on a blank external drive, make sure you clean and polish the bottom of the 10.6 disk, if it's bad you will need to get a new one.
Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
If your problems continue on this drive even with a clean or new 10.6 disk, it's likely a hardware issue with your Mac, not a issue with the drive.
I suspect a failing sector on your internal boot drive, you installed OS X right over the same spot perhaps, as you were obviously able to boot from the 10.6 disk to install it so it seems the hardware of the Mac appears to be working.
You might have other issues relateing to software perhaps, something your installing or running.
Step by Step to fix your Mac
Once you have gotten your files off the internal drive, you may want to look into doing a Zero Erase with Disk Utility before resintalling 10.6 again fresh install method.

  • Early MacBook Pro (Week 8) screen problems

    Hi Everyone,
My MacBook is working great except for the hissing/whine from the screen - I know it is related to the screen because when I change the brightness to low the whine goes away - the screen also flickers when the brightness is down low. This MacBook is one of the earlier models from production (Week 8). I've been putting up with the whine because I use this Mac for work. I am wondering how long it takes to get your Mac back after sending it for service. Many thanks. I'll be calling Apple Service tonight.

I've had the same problem with a hissing/high pitch sound since I got my MacBook. It usually only happens with it is coming out of sleep or a low power state; which makes me wonder if the screen systems are drawing too much power. When I adjust the screen brightness to a lower level, the hiss goes away. I haven't had any other screen problems. However, sometimes the ambientlight sensor has a hard time remembering my custom keybaord backlight settings. Just some minor problems, but eventually I would like to see these issues resolved.

  • Sudden macbook pro screen problem after genius bar "repair"

I took my 15" early 2011 MBP (still under 3 year applecare) to the genius bar after I discovered the battery had swollen up and was pushing the trackpad up. They replaced this and I also asked them to reapply the thermal paste as I felt like it was running hot causing the fans to increase with relatively little load (apparently there was a problem with the early 2001 MBPs and thermal paste which is well documented elsewhere). Machine worked great when they handed it back to me in the store.
But when I turned it on a couple of days later, serious problems! First there was a messed up blue / grey / purple / green screen with lines all over it & it didn't boot. I felt like the DVD-drive noise it usually gives sounded lower pitched than usual too but I could be imagining that.. I turned it on & off several times and each time a similar (but slightly different) screen. I tried various different "startup key" combinations eg safe boot, hardware test without success.
However after I reset the NVRAM I got just a grey screen which then booted into snow leopard. It could've been a coincidence that this happened after the NVRAM reset, I don't know. Anyway, the mac is sort of working - great!
BUT the screen colours are still messed up. Looks like what I'd imagine you'd get if you tried to run in 16 colours. There's also some flickering near the bottom of the screen. Weirdly though, when I click and hold on some items, eg in the dock, the colours seem more normal again on parts of the screen.
    Examples below:
    1. colours look terrible here!
    2. the blue triangle isn't right at all. (note the curvy lines are just an artifact from the camera)
    3. however when I click there is is some improvement to some of the colours on bits of the screen eg the dock items (except the logic icon which still looks wrong) - I don't think the big circle in the middle is right (that's not a flash, it's on the screen).
I've tried to run the hardware test by holding down D on start up and aside from taking longer to boot, I don't get any options to run tests.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?? As the colours are correct sometimes, I'm inclined to think it's a video card problem rather than a screen problem. System profiler says I have and AMD Radeon HD 6490M & Intel HD 3000. I'm just wondering if they could've somehow damaged the video card when reapplying the thermal paste. But I really don't know.
I will book another genius bar appointment but there's a 1 week wait and it's kind of annoying!
    Thanks.

There's no recall for early 2011 machines - only for mid-2010 models.
But you're right - there's a growing thread here of hose having problems with the early 2011 GPU. Odd that it doesn't seem to affect those with late 2011 models.

  • Lenovo Y50-70 screen problem

Hello. Recently, i have bought the Lenovo Y50-70 laptop and it seems that there is some screen problem. I have a feeling that it does flicker sometimes (1-2 per hour, sometimes more). Firstly, I thought that the backlight changes for a second, but then, after more observation, it might be it turning off and on immediately, or the colours fade and return to normal. I can't say for sure, what it is, because it happens very quickly, but the eye catches it anyway and it is kind of annyoing. Moreover, once the screen went completely crazy, it started to turn off and on every 2-3 seconds, big portions of view weren't even displayed, and what wasn't displayed changed every time it turned off and on. There were also green and red dots moving all over, mouse was moving in slowmotion (like I were playing a game in 15 fps). Only the restart helped and it stopped. So the question is, what is wrong and what am I supposed to do? Sorry, if the english is bad, but it isn't my native language.

I live in South Africa. Bought the notebook on 14 July 2015, within 2 weeks I started experiencing the screen flickering and grey lines. I was told by Lenovo to roll back drivers, then update drivers etc. - nothing worked. I returned the laptop to the supplier who in turn sent it to Lenovo. Lenovo has offered to replace the unit. I am hesitant to accept another unit and am thinking of rather getting a refund so that I can buy an Acer Aspire V Nitro (same specs). My previous laptop was an Acer and did not give me a day's trouble. Don't bother trying to update drivers or open the screen to plug it into the motherboard etc. I think the issue is a power supply one and that Lenovo should do a recall of this product. I am just thankful that South Africa has consumer law which forces a supplier to replace, repair or refund a defective product within 6 months from purchase if the consumer wants - so they can't simply repair, if I want a refund, they must give me one. Good luck! PS: This was my first and last Lenovo product!

  • X230 Screen problem

    Hi,
I just recieved my second x230 laptop and having problems with the screen. The screen is constantly shimmering and it 's much more obvious when the background is set to dark grey. This is the replacement that I just recieved and It still has the same problem. On the first one the trackpad was loose and had the screen flickering problem so I asked for a replacement and this one the same screen problem and also the battery does not fit in properly even when I lock both sides there is still a big gap on one side and it's quite loose. I m totally disappointed with the Lenovo quality control. but also tired of sending them back and forth as I believe the next one will probably have some other problems. What I already tried:
    1- BIOS updated
2- All the video drivers updated
    3-Increased the ram to 16GB
None of them solved tthe issue. By the way this is an IPS display.
I would appreciate any response  if someone had the same problem and managed to solve it somehow.
    Thanks,
    Ale
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Does it change with increasing brightness ? You might be sensitive to slow pulse modulation used to control brightness of the LED backlight.
As for the flickering with some pattern I can see it as well on my X220. Even my NEC 2090 UXi professional monitor has the issue when turned on but it slowly disapears in few hours. The reason is fully explained here http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php and there is probably no solution for that in notebook display segment. It is unlikely that you got two boxes with the issue that will be just a bad luck but there might be a batch of displays that exhibits the issue more than others.
Another reason might be FRC used to simulate 8 bit colors resolution per channel. The X220/X230 display is very likely e-IPS technology that is limited to 6 bit only. The particular FRC implementation might also exhibit annoying flicker effects for some color combinations.
Sorry, I don't have any good advice. Buying a LCD monitor is always a nightmare for me because there are too many possible issues that would annoy me. On the other hand, X230 is currently the only Lenovo notebook that have a decent display. Other models have TN craps only.

  • T400 LCD screen black after replecement

    History - T400 (2767-31U), Win 7.
LCD screen broken due to a drop. Laptop still worked with an external monitor via VGA slot and I ordered a replacement LCD.
The replacement finally (used-off ebay) arrived and I followed the HMM manual and replaced the LCD. But it still does not work. I can continue to use the ext monitor without any issues. The replacement LCD was the full assembly not just the LCD screen.
    Here is what I noticed:
    1. When booting up, I see the Thinkpad logo very very faintly before it goes fully black again.
    2. All the LCD panel lights work fine - Wireless, BT, HDD, Battery, Power etc etc including the reading light.
    3. The laptop recognizes when I open and close the lid and switches on the ext monitor accordingly.
Here is what I did (I followed the HMM to the detail):
    4. When I replaced the LCD, I noticed that the original LCD had 2 black wires insulated at the ends originating from the bottom left area of the LCD that were not actually plugged into any area of the MB. I did the same on the replacement LCD and left them as it is. I don't even know what these are.
    5. I connected the other 3 wires(white, grey and black) and the main connector as the original LCD/HMM.
    6. I uninstalled the display drivers and restarted and Win 7 automatically installed the drivers again.
    7. The Most important part - The original LCD when powered on, DID have backlight showing me the mangled area of the screen so I know it worked before replacement.
I have read quite a bit of posts regarding T400 black screen issues, pointing me towards a faulty MB, blown fuse or faulty inverter. I know the replacement is an exact replica of the original LCD.
Could it be that I didn't connect the wires correctly to their respective slots on the MB?
Any inputs would be highly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum!
Do I understand correctly that you bought a complete new LCD Assembly? Do you have proof from the seller that it was working properly before you bought it?
Can you see a picture if you use a torchlight over the panel?
A faint dark picture could be a defective LCD cable, inverter/LED card or a defective LCD backlight. Since you see a picture I would rule out a motherboard fuse problem.

  • Yoga Tablet 2 Windows 8 will not boot up, stuck at a flickering screen

I was installing Lenovo's firmware updates from their page for my device and in the middle of installing the BYT Platform Drivers for Windows 8.1, the tablet started went black.  Then it went into some kind of flickering screen like it was trying to turn on and off.  I left it alone and the next morning it was working fine.  But when I came back in the evening, it was completely turned off again.  I tried to turn it on, got the Lenovo logo, then it went into flickering on/off again.  It still will not boot up.  Any suggestions?? • H55M-E33 (1.3 bios), i3-530 - freeze with flickering screen

    Hi everyone.
    My setup is:
     - MSI H55M-E33 motherboard (bios version 1.3)
     - Intel i3 - 530 CPU
     - no other graphic card, using the one integrated in the CPU.
     - 2x2GB DDR3 Patriot memory (666MHz, CL9)
     - Samsung SATA (320GB, 7200rpm) HDD
     - ATA LG DVD Drive
     - LG LCD Display, connected via DVI
     - 450W eurocase PSU (22A on 12V)
     - Windows 7 32bit
The problem is that the PC freezes unexpectedly, with a flickering screen (flickering colorful rectangle rows aligned in 4 or 5 vertical bars). Only hard restart helps in such case. The trouble is that this happens only rarely (about 5 times total during 10 days since I got the PC).
First time it happened was after a bios update (1.1 -> 1.3, via liveupdate utility) when the computer restarted after, as it stated, a successful bios update. I though the update failed, but after I turned the PC on again, everything was just fine. Next time it happened while playing with Google Maps, so i suspected my PSU, which was then only 300W and only 20 pin. I bought a new 450W one and thought the problem is history, but today it happened again while just working with Adobe Reader and OpenOffice.
The CPU and all other parts are well cooled (the CPU temperature rarely crosses the 40°C value).
What would you recommend to do? A bios downgrade?

Well, I did some testing, maybe it's too soon to make a conclusion, but the problem seems to occur only when the RAM modules are in Dual Channel mode.
    Tests I did:
    - Only the first RAM module in DIMM1 - no problems.
    - Only the second RAM module in DIMM1 - no problems.
    - Swapped - second RAM module in DIMM1 and the first one in DIMM3 (dual channel) - same flickering screen freeze at same circumstances.
    - Both RAM modules installed in DIMM1 and DIMM2 (no dual channel) - no problems so far
Those RAM modules were bought as a kit of 2 modules for dual channel.
So far the system is stable I'm satisfied, but I regret the memory performance loss.

  • How to How to install ATI Radeon HD2600 driver on bootcamp 3.0 windows 7 partition w/black screen problem

Ok....so i've posted this question in a different way, and i gotten several "scratch the surface" answers from people just saying to install "Ati catalyst", or insert the os x dvd and run set up.exe, and update  to boot camp 3.1 or 3.2...while these all seem like great suggestions, I am finding myself needing more specific direction or "hand holding" so to speak.....here is the MAIN problem...
    The Background/history
I used boot camp (3.0, and i found updates for 3.1 for imac and for windows, but can't find for mac pro, AND they all are ".exe" files which run on windows..which as you'll see is the big part of my problem...So I recently updated my mac pro (with the ATI Radeon HD2600 graphic PCIe card with 10.6.7 from 10.5.8.  I created a single partitioned drive to install windows 7 professional 64 bit.  The download software function didn't work (Thanks, APPLE for that poor level of support) so have to select the option that i have already downloaded, or have other media with the drivers already on it....i restarted with the windows 7 disk in....
The installation of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
So the installation of windows 7 seemed to go flawlessly, was able to use my existing 23" hd apple cinema display (so somehow it has drivers that work with the graphics card, or maybe the motherboard's on board video components) and i select english, and install now, custom, blah, blah, blah...installation causes a few reboots, then restarts ultimately back in os x since that is the default boot os i use on this desk top and have to do the "opt" button to select booting in windows....so when i try restarting in windows, now using the actual boot drive on which i am installing it, it ran through another reboot or two, but then after that, my display goes black....  in the communities, the solution sounds super simple... "go download the ATI catalyst for the black screen problem....windows 7 doesn't have device drivers that work with the ATI radeon hd2600...no problem, just go download and install...."
The problem, re-emphasized :  I cannot even finish the install for windows, because of this driver problem....i cannot see anything....I have tried to reboot in safe mode, and that then seems to invoke whatever basic drivers that do work, likely through the motherboards onboard video vs the actual graphic card, and the screen works and says that it's wanting to complete the installation, so i'm thinking awesome this is gonna work....and then.. "windows installation was not completed and cannot be completed in SAFE MODE, need to restart, blah, blah, blah" pops up...and forces reboot...so Safe Mode allows me to see, but won't allow me to finish the install of windows 7...and without completing the install i can't run (ranther I DONT KNOW HOW TO) any of the various .exe files everyone is telling me are the solutions to my problem...like update 3.1 and 3.2 bootcamp...they're all .exe files?  not sure why, because bootcamp runs in 10.6.7 i thought, but whatever...it needs running Windows to execute...then the ATI radeon hd2600 driver for windows 7 that i downloaded from the site has an installation program that is an .exe file, which needs windows to run...  Does this make sense, why i can't just use these fixes, that seem to be the only fixes out there....so can someone school me step by step here (not just the highlights) of how to update bootcamp, and how to install the ati radeon driver  without having been able to complete the windows 7 installation because the monitor goes and stays black????
This is so very frustrating for the record...and any substantial help "not just go download this..." would be immensely appreciated.
Some other things i've been told to try that i've tried and nothing seems to happen as i'm told it will....
---I've been told to install the osx dvd and run "setup.exe"  - AGAIN...it's an exe file...and 2 - when i put in the os x file it just wants to re install 10.6...so need more help if this is even a real solution to understand how to make it work...
---I've been told to update boot camp to 3.1 and/or 3.2 from 3.0, using Apple Software Update....Well, my software update is saying everything is up to date and there is nothing new to download at all, and when i reverify the bootcamp version it is still only 3.0.2...and again downloading the updates from www.apple.com/support/  for 3.1 and 3.2...all of those are .exe files...need windows to run them...again, refer to the problem described in detail above...
---I've been referred to the black screen on imac early 2011 thread saying it should fix my problem...and reading it it SEEMED like the most promising resolution...it involves creating a boot flash drive for windows 7 and an xml file that sets the imac drivers to auto install during the windows installation..and it got me farther than anything else..but still ultimately ended up in the darned black screen...my assumption is that it's because it's for imac and not mac pro so not ati-radeon specific drivers....ok....that's enough..please...anyone who thinks they can help...your help is desperately needed...thanks so much in advance!

hey Hatter, thanks so much for getting back...so just to be super clear...is there no way to install the drivers using an exe file given my current state? no way to do it with command prompt or something?  if can make work with existing card, i'd prefer it...now when you say it's 'toast' how do you mean?  it works well with the os x partitions and always has...so i'm not sure i follow, just want to be clear...
Now to your point of starting with only the one drive installed...so i would put that bootcamp drive in bay 1 and disconnect the rest...i'm not totally sure what you're suggesting the effect should be of doing this?  just that i'm just installing windows without the bootcamp deal...but if windows 7 doesn't support the ati radeon hd2600, it still will go black screen no? or you're saying it will run video through the motherboard if it's the only bootdrive, and will run all the way through the windows install without trying to switch over to the hd2600?  (slrry flr these questions..just really want to make sure i understand what you're telling me..thanks so much for your patience and help by the way...it's very greatly appreciated...your support is priceless!
So now, assuming none of the above is possible...referring now to the ati 5770 that you referred to...you mention it works with 10.6 well, and that windows 7 supports it ...2 questions on that
         1) Windows 7 supports" meaning, out of the box windows 7 supports it? or will i have to install drivers still through some update, because again, if that's how i have to do it, then won't work, cuz can't start windows to see anything to install any drivers or run any thing at all...so it would have to just work with initial installation.
2)hardware wise for my Mac Pro 3,1...intel dual quad core xeon, blah blah....will this card work? it's a PCIe and should fit on my board no prob, etc?

  • Trying to update OS to fix White Screen problem.

Hello, I have had my Blackberry 8520 on a Virgin contract for about a year and a half now. Recently it has started randomly just changing to a black white screen that won't allow me to turn it off or perform any functions. The way I temporarily fix this is to plug it into the charger which acts like a reboot and brings it back to normal (pulling the battery to reboot it just restores the white screen after loading). In trying to find the resolve to this problem, which I haven't yet, I rang the Virgin helpline who told me to update my OS. I currently have the version 5.0 Bundle 1096 and I am trying to update it to the 5.0 Bundle 1168. I have been having increasing problems with trying to do this. I updated my desktop software for Blackberry but updating through this software always brings up the message at the install stage (after backing up my data) - "An error has occured while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists." My internet is working fine and I have tried many times to update through this way. I have also tried updating through the blackberry website "web based updates area" that brings up the same message. Looking through over message boards, I tried the attempt at updating through the LOADER.EXE way. However after trying to download the OS manually to my computer, which my internet explorer thought was dangerous, it came up after with another error message - "Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error from reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.' I am now out of ways to try and update my Blackberry and have no idea how to solve the white screen problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Karen x

Just to specify the final type of the updating I tried was following the instructions on this links - http://us.blackberry.com/support/apps-and-software/desktop-and-device-download-sites.html I choose Europe, Virgin Media, Blackberry curve 8520. I got the software on to my computer and the error message that came up, appeared after choosing language and agreeing to the terms and conditions and starting the installation. Sorry about the big clump of writing; the post removed all of my paragraphs when I posted it. New to this! And need help! Thanks x
