T430 and t530 pricing

Hi,
I was just on Lenovo's shopping website and am wondering why the T430 and T530 both start at exactly the same price (779 USD) with the same hardware. However, the T530 is obviously wider, heavier, and has a larger screen, so one would expect for the T530 to cost slightly more. This makes me wonder: does the T430 have a slighty better and stronger chassis than the T530, or are there any cost cutting methods done on the T530? It simply doesn't make sense to price both at the same starting price when one seems to use more material than the other. Thanks.

Heh. As an owner of T530 and L430, I can assure you that there is a chance you'll experience some problems with the chassis. Creaking around touchpad, bending on one side of the palmrest area and as far as T530 goes, you'll definitely notice wobbly area between Expresscard slot and SD card reader. Although my L430 spent a few days at EZ-Serv (due to WiFi adapter issues) and although it has been opened and then put back together, I am still disappointed because I'm experiencing significant creaking between upper part and lower part of the L430's body (on both sides of the palmrest area). As far as T530 goes, right side of the palmrest area is not "hanging to" the rest of the chassis as it should (I can definitely notice some bending and creaking) and as time goes by (6 months) I've also noticed that area below the touchpad is also very, very flimsy. Also, area around volume +/-, mute mic/speakers buttons is extremely poorly made. So, to make the looong story short. It's up to you. Larger screen or a smaller one. Also, not sure if T430 has a i7 Quad option (just i7 Dual Core). But having in mind Lenovo is clearly experiencing some shortage of i7 Quad processors for the T series, that shouldn't be a problem.

  • How can I deactivate the pricing date and material pricing group in VA01?

    Hello All,
How can I deactivate (output only) the pricing date and material pricing group field in VA01/2, VA21/2, and VA41/2? What user exit can I use? Thanks in advance...
    PeeJay

You can use the t.code SHD0, choose your transaction variant here, further choose your screen variant.
Next select your screen variant and in the Menu bar select Variant> change with processing>Make repairs in foreign namespaces only if they are urgent> Continue(Enter)>again 'enter'>Object can only be created in SAP package>continue(enter)> Exit and save >This variant contains other screens, adopt these as well?>enter>enter>  scroll down to the entry 'pricing date' or VBKD-PRSDT make the necessary changes and save.
The system will prompt to assign a package and request enter the necessary values.
    Your issue is sorted!!

  • 2 external monitors and internal Screen on T430S and Mini Dock Plus

    Hi Community,
I just got my new T430S and the MiniDock Plus. On the website I've ordered the combination I had the impression that I could use two external screens and the internal screen at once.
Unfortunately I don't manage to find the right settings to achieve that the internal screen is switched on.
I wonder if its just a question of settings or is it simply not possible to extend the screen over three screens.
Any help or hint  is greatly appreciated,
    Andreas

Intel 3000 doesn't support 3 independent LCD in this manner. You would need something USB2DVI or USB2VGA adapter to get the third LCD.

  • What is the best and reasonably priced external cd/dvd optical drive for an Imac 21.5 inches from late 2009?

What is the best and reasonably priced external cd/dvd optical drive for an Imac 21.5 inches from late 2009?

A lot of people have a Mac where the superdrive has been taken out to be replaced with a harddisk. Try to find a friend who has done that, give him a beer and take the superdrive, then buy a superdrive container from OWC or another for  afew dollars and put it in there. This slimdrive container has a USB connector. There you go.

  • Tax Procedures and MM pricing procedures

Currently when creating a PO under the invoice tab you can input the Tax code and jurisdiction code.
The tax code I am using is set up for a Canadian Tax procedure (TAXCAJ).
The procedure is calling two tax condition types JC1E (GST) and JC1I (PST). They are both condition class D and they are the same accross other statistics but they differ in condition category. JC1E is condition category 1 and JC1I is condition category 2.
JCIE uses account determination VST while JC1I uses NVV. JC1E needs to be posted to a seperate account as it is partially recoverable.
The real underlying issue here is that tax condition type JC1I comes accross to teh MM condition tab under NAVS but JC1E does not. I need the value from JC1E to come over to the conditions tab as my PO print is driven by this.
Any ideas how to get tax condition type JC1E (or its value) over to the conditions tab. I can make JC1E come over with JC1I but i need JC1E seperate. If you need clarification or more information just let me know.

    Hi,
NAVS condition collects the non-deductible portion of the Tax Code and hence only showing JC1I which is a non-deductible condition type.  The logic behind this is non-deductible tax is part of cost, so for updating the stock account at the time of GR with base value + discounts and other pricing conditions + non-deductible tax, NAVS condition type is being used in PO pricing procedure.  JC1E is a deductible type tax and as not being a part of cost it is not updated in NAVS and hence the stock account at the time of GR.
If you want all the tax amounts for PO printing purpose, use JEXS condition type and insert this at the last of the pricing procedure with statistical indicator.  Modify your print program to print value against JEXS instead of NAVS.

    PRICING ELEMENTS
The standard system includes condition types for basic pricing elements, such as material prices, customer and material discounts, and surcharges such as freight and sales taxes. In the case of each element, you can use the standard version, modify the standard version, or create entirely new definitions to suit your own business needs. The sequence of activities is generally as follows:
Define condition types for each of the price elements (prices, discounts, and surcharges) that occur in your daily business transactions.
Define the condition tables that enable you to store and retrieve condition records for each of the different condition types.
Define the access sequences that enable the system to find valid condition records.
Group condition types and establish their sequence in pricing procedures.

  • Condition record and import pricing procedure

    hi sap gurus
i want to know abt condition record and import pricing procedure in detail can u pls help me

    You use Condition Types as,
    PB00 -- Gross Price
    FRA1 -- Freight
    FRB1 -- Freight (value)
    RA01 -- Discount.    etc.,
    and in Import PO,
the Pricing Procedure has to be defined by including the CVD condition Type like
    JCDB  -- Basic customs duty
    JCV1  -- CVD Percentage
JECV -- Edu Cess on CVD
    J1CV  -- SECess on CVD
JEDB -- ECess Basic customs   etc.,
Then in J1ID, you have to maintain JCV1(CVD Percentage)
    in Default values of TAXINN

  • Diff, bet general SD pricing procedures and Internet Pricing procedure

    Hi,
Will any one give clear picture about the diff, between SAP SD pricing procedure and Internet Pricing Procedure? and what are the areas it differs?. If you mail me any URL / Doc regarding Internet Pricing Procedure  Configuration that will be of great help.
       [email protected]

I hope by internet pricing procedure you mean pricing procedure used in Internet Sales / CRM Online.
Basically, there are no differences. Structure is same. The way pricing procedure is defined & used is same. The only different I would say is, the way you write code for formula & requirements. Usability-wise, they both are same.
    Hope it helps.

  • Integration between Sales Pricing and Purchasing pricing

    Hi Experts,
please can you tell me how it works the integration between Sales pricing (SD) and Purchasing pricing (MM)?.
Are there specific pricing condition types to manage this integration?
    Thank you very much
    Kinad Regards
    Andrea

There is no link between SD pricing and MM pricing. But there are some cases when the condition types maintained have to be referenced.
in STO for example, the pricing procedure in MM may contain a condition type that will have a reference to a condition type maintained in Billing. This value is then used in the SD pricing procedure.
YOu can do this by maintaining the RefConType in Define condition type in MM pricing determination.
(SAP Customizing Implementation Guide --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Conditions --> Define Price Determination Process --> Define Condition Types)

  • Lync 2013 basic crashing on T520 and T530?

We use SCCM to deploy our machines and with the Thinkpad's T520 and T530 having the Intel HD 3000 or 4000 graphical card the application is crashing without reason
When we use Teamviewer in a remote session Lync is working fine. How come and how can we solve this?

Peer to peer or 1-on-1 chatting send the audio peer to peer (not through the server).  When you add another participant, the audio then flows through an A/V Conferencing Server (assuming you're running 2010 server per the forum you posed in, this is
often the same as your front end pool).  This sounds like a port restriction or connectivity issue.

  • UK and USA pricing of BlackBook

In the UK, a BlackBook goes for about £1300 but in the US, it cost $1500 which is about £750, why is the price so different?

This is a user-to-user forum, no one here works for Apple. So, none of us can speak for them and their pricing policies. Because "speculation" and questioning Apple's policies is against the Terms of Use here, I don't think we'll be able to help find an answer for you. • Difference between R/3 pricing and CRM Pricing?

    Hi Gurus
What’s the Difference between R/3 pricing and CRM Pricing
    Thanks
    Mahi

    hi
differences are there in terms of
    Condition Processing
    Condition Technique
    Condition Maintenance
    Differences in Condition Processing
    1. The source condition record cannot be displayed in SAP CRM for technical reasons, when processing conditions in a transaction.
    2. Unlike SAP R/3, SAP CRM recognizes several pricing transactions. This enables you to compare pricing transactions. This can be useful after failed searches or price changes.
    3. The pricing type cannot be predefined when starting a new pricing transaction in SAP CRM.
    Differences in the Condition Technique
    1. Data determination at access level cannot be executed in SAP CRM.
    Differences in Condition Maintenance
    1. It is not possible in SAP CRM to display condition records for predefined selection data in condition lists.
    2. Mass copying of condition records is not possible in SAP CRM.
    3. Change documents are not available in SAP CRM.
    4. Archiving of pricing conditions is not possible in SAP CRM.
hope it will server ur purpose
    best regards

  • JoinFieldValue between Special Pricing Request and Special Pricing Product

    Hi,
Can anyone please let me know if I want to Copy the Value of a Field in Special Pricing Product to a field in Special Pricing Request, is it possible? Does Join Field Value works between Special Pricing Requests and Special Pricing Products?
Example: In the Special Pricing Product, the External ID field is populated with the Value: AAPA-5WZD64 I want to copy this value to the External ID field in Special Pricing Request. Can this be done in any way, apart from web services?
    Thanks

    Hi Bob,
    I have seen the thread.
Even though the SPR (Special Pricing Request) and SPP (Special Pricing Product) are the PRM Objects, in my case, the vanilla Object Partner is of least significance, in terms of the existance of a JoinFieldValue function between SPR and SPP.
Since this is not in the help file and also in Metalink/MOS, Can you please let me know if there is any way by which I can copy the value of a Field (External ID) in SPP to a corresponding Field (External ID) in SPR.
    Thanks.

  • T430 and two displays

    Hi all,
I have a T430 and two 24 inch displays. Here my grahics card configuration according to Lenovo Solution Center:
    NVIDIA NVS 5400M
    Kartenspeicher    2.048,00 MB
    Anbieter    NVIDIA
    Kartenversion    9.18.13.1100 01-10-2013
    Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
    Kartenspeicher    2.112,00 MB
    Anbieter    Intel Corporation
    Kartenversion    9.17.10.2843 08-21-2012
How I can I connect these two screens? I want to use them both digitally (i.e. DP or HDMI or DVI-based). Do I need a docking station? If so, which one?
    Best,
    Ralf

if you need both external displays connected through digital video port, then you would need a Series 3 plus dock, which has 2 sets of DVI/Displayport.

  • Bug - Wholesale AND Retail pricing bug on one order?

    Hi,
Has anyone else had this issue? SA wholesale customer has done an order on our website where:
    1) They have logged into wholesale zone and have wholesale pricing applied
    2) Their order has some products in wholesale pricing but ALSO some pricing in consumer / retail pricing.
    3) They chose a retail shipping option yet they are a wholesale customer and should have seen different shipping rates.
Getting worried about BC - this is a really serious issue. Surely the order wouldn't be able to process as wholesale AND retail pricing on one order? Surely as a wholesale customer they should only see wholesale shipping?
Any know a fix or had this happen to them?

    Hi Silviu,
The issue is getting worse. Is there any update?
ISSUE ONE = we are receiving invoices from customers that have a mix of consumer and wholesale pricing when the customer is ticked as 'wholesale'
ISSUE TWO = some wholesale customers have no tax on their orders (yet we have the destination state option on our checkout page that adds on tax) and they should be paying tax * Not charging people tax is illegal and we can be fined by the ATO! People even end up in jail for not paying tax.
ISSUE THREE =some wholesale customers have 1 item with tax on their orders and the rest without tax (also using destination state option).
I've checked the pricing of the items and they are correct.
I've checked the wholesale customers are marked wholesale and they are.
I've checked the tax codes and they are correct.
I can't understand how one item can have tax and others can't when the customer is a wholesaler so tax should get added and pricing should be wholesale.
Can you please escalate this. Doesn't BC understand this is a serious issue??
