Tab page location issue

I have a form where I have one canvas and 3 tab pages on that canvas.
This is working very very poorly. What can I do to correct it?
the problem is that some of the tab pages are very very wide and some are
very very long. So if a person is in the hinterland on tab pageA and they
switch to tab pageB they are potentially at a lousy location where there is
nothing visible. And vice-versa if they go back to some other tab page they
may end up in a terrible place. There seems to only be one "place" where
the view is located and not a "place" for each tab page. Is there any way
around this? What should I do to correct this? I don't have to have tabs but
I need some way for the users to select portions of the form.

I didn't come from programming html btw but rather forms6i where tab pages
were really really buggy so I didn't use them. And now I'm finding a reason
to not use them in 10. I like the idea of the user switching between tab pages
but what's a better way to do this than tab pages?

Here sdi3 means showDetailItem3. I've tried but one error is raised.
Error is : identifier sdi3 not found.
My java code is:

Reference object data update in Location tab page of order

Hello
When a reference object in notification/order is changed, the location and account assignment data is updated in order location data by standard settings in SAP but any changes to the master data of the existing reference object is not changed in Notification/Order location tab page.
But there is an option that when you change the data in the technical object and you need the same to be reflected in order location data for which this order has the reference object, we can use the functionality of clicking the right mouse in object list and so the data will be updated in notification/order.
Please explain how to carry out this step "of clicking the right mouse in object list and so the data will be updated in notification/order"..
I have changed the Location data/Account assignment data of techincal object in its master data and now i want that to reflect in Work order.
How to achieve this??

Hi,
Keep the cursor in Equipment field & right click the mouse. You can find the option Update Reference Object Data.
Select that option, you will get updated details in the Notification / order.

BEX WAD 7.0 Tab Pages issue with Mandatory Variables

Hello,
I have developed a BEX WAD 7.0 Tab Pages and need to pass Mandatory variables from one tab to other tab. Each tab has Container Layout Item to group them into a tab.
I have Set the Variable Sate for each tab page generically and it passes the variables if all of them are optional variables. If one of them is Mandatory the doesn't pass the value for the variable.
Did anybody face this problem & We are on SAPKW70018? If there are not note specifically for this on higher SP please do let me know.

Tab Page Issues

Hai All,
In my form i have currently 4 tab pages the records displayed as mullti records block. I need to display item values from one tab page to another tab page. Say for example i have two columns in 3rd tab page( one is text time and other is display item). I want to display all the two items in 4th tab page as display items showing all item values from previous tab page.
What exactly happens now to me is that if i keep my cursor at first record in 3rd tab page it shows only one record in 4th tab page.Instead it has to show me all records from 3rd tab page to 4th Tab page. I have enabled copy value from item in the property pallete for respective items..

If the contents of the tab pages are all in the same block then use "Synchronize with Item"
Copy Value is intended for Cross Block copying and only relates to the current record, which is why you only see one of them.

How can I access the Tabs page in the current window, without opening a new tab?

I like the new Tabs page. I'd like to open it in the current window, without the need of opening a new tab or window.

You can make a bookmark and set the location to about:newtab to open that page in the current tab.

Excise tab page not displayed during goods receipt for material.

The issue is we are doing GR for a PO in MIGO.Now the excise tab page is displayed in case of all other matl except for one.The matl type is manufacturing matl for this particular matl.I have checked all the settings in J1ID, also checked the tax code they are ok.can anyone guide me with any other possible solutions to this.

WEB.show_document in Browser Tab Pages

Hi
This problem occurs in IE7 which makes use of tab pages on the web browser. I'm using forms 10g, web.show_document(v_url, '_BLANK') to pop up a browser window in IE to display a PDF file residing on the App Server.
The new browser window pops up in IE and displays the pdf document fine. The window title and address bar contain the correct url (a rather long one). The problem I have is that the browser tab page is labelled "Error" which immediately causes concerns amongst the users. I'm not sure if it does this because it does not know what to label the tab page or if the URL is perhaps too long.
Is there any way to rename / relabel the tab page or set the name or alias somewhere? I'll appreciate any advice on the issue...

With web.show_document() you could call a html page that call your php page with POST().

Traditional Chinese character display as square mark in workflow tab page

Customer applied 11i ATG RUP7(6241631), then run the AD Administration utility to maintain multilingual tables, and no errors when upgrading EBS.
Some tab page title and button text display as square mark.

New Tab Page - thumbnails are not using the files from cache folder, but they want a connection to their origin website.

each time I visit a website, FireFox saves a thumbnail of all these sites for the "New Tab Page". Those thumbnails are cached in the 'thumbnails' Folder . That's so far ok for me.
The problem is:
Every time if I use the "New Tab Page" (...after shutdown & reopening the browser and only with 'mousehoover' on any thumbnail) all the thumbnails on that page don't use the cached thumbnails from the local profile folder.
This means:
Instead of using the cached thumbnail-files all(!) these thumbnails dials to their origin websites without(!) a mouseclick on any of these thumbnails (...see jpg pictures) !

So, i can't believe that this homedialing of pinned and unpinned thumbnails should be a normal function.

The Browser Version is Firefox ESR 31.2.0 and in the installation are no Add-ons, which are - for example - prefetching linked websites.
I would like to use the "New Tab Page" without 'homedialing', so the question is:
How can I force the thumbnails to use the cached thumbnail-files ?
or
How can i disable the 'loading of content from their origin websites' already on mousehoover ?

There is a preload pref available that you could try to disable on the about:config page.
*browser.newtab.preload = false
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I have two different Content Canvases in oracle form 6i and my requirement is such that i need to have these two
content canvases in tab canvas pages.
can Any one please tell me how i have to join these two content canvases in two tab pages.

HI , Your Logic is okay.
What you have to do is,
Open your existing from
In Canvas - Create New canvas with Type 'TAB'
And Create Two Tap Page - A & B.
select existing each items in existing canvas and select main canvas and TAP page -A or B
Once completed you can run your form as like before without any coding changes,
Regarding your question for TAB trigger code, generally you do not need any code as it is auto select.. by mouse.

How do I make a tabbed page show via Javascript or HTML when link clicked?

I have a page with dynamically created links via PHP. One of these links loads a named page (if not already loaded, via HTML or Javascript). If the page is already in a tab then clicking the link causes the page to reload but the page does not show unless I click on the tab. How can I force the tabbed page to show (already loaded) when the link is clicked? I've tried using the Javascript window.focus() method but it does not solve the problem. This issue does not happen with the Safari browser.

Detecting the current tab page

I am working on a task for our current project which requires that I correctly identify the
current tab page selected on the user's page.
Toward that, I was passed some information about the function:

which appeared in version 3.0.6.X.
I was unable to locate this function in the 3.0.7 / 3.0.8 api installed on our machine, but since I
only have access to view the public interface of this package, and wondered if this function was
still available.
Has the function been moved, or included elsewhere, or deleted?
The success of this task depends on having a reliable way to determine which tab page is
currently selected/viewable.
Is there another / better method for accomplishing this?
Any help would be most appreciated.

That isn't a supported API yet. I'm not aware of any current functionality that will allow you to find the current tab.

Help using app_standard.event(when-tab-page-changed')

I need to create a form with the following requirements . There is one content canvas which contains a tabbed canvas and on this there are two stacked canvases .
The problem is that when I compile my form and ftp to oebs , I cannot view the tab pages on the canvas .
I see only my the fields displayed in the first tab page without the 'tab pages'.
How do I solve this issue please ?
