Tab Strip Page

Greetings,
Does anybody know how to add the Tab Strip Control into a LabView
program? By using Active X container, I was able to put one on the
front panel, but I wasn't able to add any types of control onto the
Tabbed page. Why is it that you can use it in VB, or ComponentWork for
that matter, but not LabView?

A tab control is a separate child-window. It will work well with
controls that each exist in their own window. LV controls are
windowless and therefore aren't compatible with the tab control.
Its also a matter of design. The LV controls were designed to
work inside of clusters, arrays, as constants and front panel
controls, but not tabs, not yet anyhow.
There is a NIWeek presentation from 98 that discusses how to build
a tab dialog using Booleans a
nd a little logic. There are also
some third party tools, like the one from Cardiac, that make it
pretty easy to do tabbed dialogs that look really nice.

  • Number of Tab Strips in BSP pages of E-Recruitment

    Hello,
    We have a problem with number of tab strips visible per page in Job Interest Wizard page of E-Recruitment.
    The default number of tabs are 5 per page.
    In our case we put a large text in each tab (as per our business requirement), so these tabs extending beyond the page width and thus a horizontal scroll is appearing.
    We do not want this horizontal scroll as some of the inputs fields with asteric () , the asteric () is not visible to the user unless he scroll the page to the right.
    We wanted to either display only 4 tabs page or wrap the text if these tabs, so that all 5 tabs exactly fit in the screen.
    I have no clue on which BSP application is handling these tabstrips for Job Interest Wizard.
    Any suggestions is rewarded
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards
    Raghu Kolukuluri

    Someone provided this answer to me with regards to number of tabs visible on a wizard;
    The class that needs to be changed is CL_HRRCF_BSP_EXT_CONTAINERSEQ.
    To modify the number of tabs shown (in addition to other parameters) you
    can go to method GET_CS_ITEM and change the call to the factory method.
    The code looks like this:
      lo_cs ?= cl_phtmlb_containersequence=>factory(
        collapsed             = 'false'
        collapsible           = 'false'
        design                = 'transparent'
        hascontentconnector   = 'false'
        hastitle              = 'true'
        id                    =  lv_id
        maxvisibleitems       = '5'
        scrollableitems       = 'true'
        selectedindex         = controller->selected_index
        showstepnumber        = 'true'
        titleselected         = 'false'
        items                 = lt_items ).
    Maxvisibleitems is the number of tabs show at once. Showstepnumber
    determines if the tabs are numbered. Setting this to false may save some
    space.
    Hope this helps

  • WAD template issue:Change Font Size of Tab page in a tab strip container

    Hi Gurus,
    Is it possible to change the font size and face of a "tab" in a tabstip container.
    For example: I have a Tab strip container with 3 tabs:
          Tab1 : North Region
          Tab2: South Region
          Tab3: Central Region.
    When we name the tabs as above, it displays in a default font size and font face in the output while executing the WAD template. I want to increase the font size of say " North Region" Tab so that it appears bigger.
    Can some one guide me as to how this can be achieved.

  • How to remove the search bar in the tab strip?

    My latest firefox update includes a search bar IN THE TAB STRIP on top of the page (not the one in the navigation toolbar). It takes up too much space for the tabs and it is useless (since there is already a search bar below it in the navigation toolbar). How do I remove it?

    I was able to fix the problem in Safe Mode. It was an extension disguised as a Firefox original part, named itself as "firefox default tabs." I am not sure how I got it since I have not downloaded anything recently. My Kaspersky did not block anything as well. But, huge thanks!

  • How can i keep multiple tabs in the tab strip without them compressing into one tab?

    when i open more than 6 windows , they all compress into one tab from where i have to access pages with a drop down menu. i want all the tabs to open up and the individual tabs to appear separately on the tab strip which can be scrolled up or down. thank you

    hi
    the problem is in the firefox tab strip at the bottom of the page. i have attached two screenshots . when i open more than 6 tabs, they all get compressed into 1 tab. i want all tabs to stay open individually, and the tab strip should therefore have a page scroller icon forming when many tabs open. i have had this in the earlier computer i had, but recently got a new one. now i cant figure how to set firefox to do what i need.
    thanks

  • Open tabs are not on tab strip. Have to click on List All Tabs button to find tabs. Tabs used to display on tab strip and stopped doing this. Suggestions?

    Been using Firefox for years, running Windows XP. This morning when I opened pages in another tab, did not see them on tab strip. Only way to find them is to click on List All Tabs Button and it shows list. Cannot get them to display on tab strip. If I open in another window, it works, like it should. If I click on plus sign on tab strip it opens another tab, but can't see the previous ones except with List All Tabs Button. Any suggestions on how to turn tab strip back on? Thanks, jayem33

    If it works in a new window then you can drags tabs from the not working window to that new window.
    You can also try to close the tabs via Ctrl+W and restore the closed tabs via Shift+Ctrl+T

  • How do I make the "Open new tab" button positioned at the end of the tab strip, on the right, next to the last open tab, just as the standard Firefox should be.

    My "Open a new tab" button (the +) does not appear at the end of the tab strip, it does not look like it is given in all photos here in the support page. It did not look like this before either. Now I have it at the most left end i.e. before the tabs begin. I can move it to the most right, but it sticks there. I want it to be attached to the last open tab, as it used to be, and as is shown in example Firefox photos.
    Could be useful if I sent you a print screen, but I don't see an attachment option here.
    Thanks!

  • Refreshing tab strip

    Hello Experts,
    I am working on Web Dynpro Java and I have created two tab strips and when I select the first tab for the first time the contents of that tab strip gets generated and the same with the second one. Now when I make changes in the second tab and then come back to the first tab... the changes in the second tab is not reflected in the first tab, it shows the same content.  but when I refresh the page the changes are seen.  Can any one help me out on refreshing the tab strip when I select it each time.
    I think WDPortalEventing.fire might be a solution but dont know how to implement it. If this will solve my question then can any one help me out on this too please
    the short form : I want to refresh the tab strip each time i select it.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Satish,
    Just bind a new action to onSelect Event of the TabStrip. You don't have to write any code within to trigger this event when you make a switch from one tab to another within a tab strip. In case. you want to perform any function/validation to switch of tab then you can write the in the implementation of this action bound to onSelect Event of the TabStrip.

  • How to code with tab strip control in se38

    HI masters,
          In SE38 i created tab strips with 4 tabs in selection screen. Each selection screen having 4 or 5 input fields.So whenever user click on first screen he will fill the input on that screen, and based on that fields only he will get information. Each tab is totally differ from other tabs, i mean first tab is orders and second is invoice like that. so there is no connection betwen tabs data. Everything is individual tabs.
         I dont know how to code that.Can you plz help me how to code that? Thanks in advance.Its very urgent.

    To create a tabstrip control area, choose Tabstrip control from the object list in the Screen Painter and
    place it on the screen. Fix the top-left hand corner of the table control area, and then drag the object to
    the required size.
    Assign a name to the tabstrip control in the Object name attribute. You need this name to identify your
    tabstrip control.
    In your ABAP program use the CONTROLS statement to declare an object with the same name. Use
    TABSTRIP as the type.
    The type TABSTRIP is defined in the type pool CXTAB. The field ACTIVETAB contains the function
    code of the tab title of the currently active tabstrip. The other fields are reserved for internal use.
    The default number of tab pages for a tabstrip control is two.
    Technically, tab titles are treated in the same way as pushbuttons. They have a name, a text, a function
    code, and a function type. You enter these in the Name, Text, FctCode and FctType fields of the object
    attributes.
    A tab title can have the function type ' ' (space) or 'P'. If the function type is ' ' (space), the PAI
    processing block is triggered when the user chooses that tab, and the function code of the tab title is
    placed in the command field. If the function type is 'P', the user can scroll between different tab pages of
    the same type without triggering the PAI processing block. For further details, see the following pages.
    If you want your tabstrip control to have more than two pages, you must create further tab titles. To do
    this, choose Pushbutton from the object list in the Screen Painter and place it in the tab title area.
    You must assign a subscreen area to each tab page.
    The subscreen area assigned to a tab page is automatically entered as the Reference object (in the
    Dictionary attributes) for the tab title of that page.
    To assign a subscreen area to one or more tab pages, choose the relevant tab title in the fullscreen
    editor, choose the Subscreen object, and place it on the tab page.
    Alternatively, you can assign a single subscreen area to several tab pages by entering the name of the
    subscreen area directly in the Reference object field of the attributes of the relevant tab pages.
    If you have assigned a different subscreen area to each page element in a tabstrip control, you can
    scroll between the pages locally at the front end.
    To do this, you must send all of the subscreens to the front end when you send the main screen itself. All
    of the tab titles in the tabstrip control must also have function type 'P'.
    Now, when you scroll between the different page elements, there is no communication between the
    presentation server and the application server.
    When the user chooses a function on the screen that triggers PAI processing, the system processes the
    PAI blocks of all of the subscreens as well. This means that all of the field checks are run. In this
    respect, you could regard the tabstrip control as behaving like a single large screen.
    Local scrolling in tabstrip controls is more appropriate for display transactions.
    <b>Screen Painter:</b>
    <b>PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.</b>
    CALL SUBSCREEN subarea1
    INCLUDING SY-CPROG '0101'.
    CALL SUBSCREEN subarea2
    INCLUDING SY-CPROG '0102'.
    CALL SUBSCREEN subarea3
    INCLUDING SY-CPROG '0103'.
    <b>PROCESS AFTER INPUT.</b>
    CALL SUBSCREEN subarea1.
    CALL SUBSCREEN subarea2.
    CALL SUBSCREEN subarea3.
    <b>ABAP:
    CONTROLS: my_tab_strip TYPE TABSTRIP.</b>
    To program a tabstrip control to scroll locally at the front end, you must:
    Assign
    a separate subscreen area to each tab page; a subscreen will be sent to each of these
    when the screen is processed.
    Call
    all of the subscreens from the flow logic.
    Assign
    function code type 'P' to all of the tab titles.
    The system hides any page element whose subscreen contains no elements that can be displayed.
    If there are no page elements containing elements that can be displayed, the system hides the entire
    tabstrip control.
    Hope this is helpful, Do reward.

  • Radio Buttons and Tab Strips

    How Do Everyone!
    I have 3 tab strips in one selection screen.
    Each tab strip has 3 radio buttons on them. How can one
    find out out which button is pressed?
    e.g. Click on the second tab, the first radio button
         will be highlighted. However, the first radiobutton
         on the first and third tabstrips will also
         be highlighted.
    Can the radio buttons be set to null?
    Cheers
    Andy

    Each group of 3 radiobuttons needs to be associated with its own group.
    For example.
    report zrich_0001
           no standard page heading.
    selection-screen begin of screen 101 as subscreen.
    selection-screen begin of block b1 with frame title text-001.

                p_rad5 radiobutton group grp2,
                p_rad6 radiobutton group grp2.
    selection-screen end of block b2.
    selection-screen end of screen 102.
    selection-screen begin of screen 103 as subscreen.
    selection-screen begin of block b3 with frame title text-003.
    parameters: P_rad7 radiobutton group grp3 default 'X'
                                             user-command check,
                p_rad8 radiobutton group grp3,
                p_rad9 radiobutton group grp3.
    selection-screen end of block b3.
    selection-screen end of screen 103.
    selection-screen begin of tabbed block one for 20 lines.
    selection-screen tab (15) name1 user-command ucomm1
    default screen 101.
    selection-screen tab (17) name2 user-command ucomm2
    default screen 102.
    selection-screen tab (17) name3 user-command ucomm3
    default screen 103.
    selection-screen end of block one.
    initialization.
      name1 = 'Tab 1'.
      name2 = 'Tab 2'.
      name3 = 'Tab 3'.

  • Tabs on Top option doesn't show up in the pop-up menu when I Control-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip in Firefox 15 on MacBook.

    I just updated my Firefox web browser to version 15.0 on my MacBook. I am really used to have Tabs under Address Bar. However, when I Control-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip, there is no "Tabs on Top" option in the pop-up menu.
    Any suggestion on how to find this option would be appreciated.

    That changed in Firefox 15 and is now a hidden preference; the default is for Tabs on Top to be on. To turn Tabs on Top off, you must use about:config. The instructions are the last item on the following page. I have also included a link on how to use about:config

  • Dynamically set Tab current pages

    Here’s a quick summary of the situation I’ve got.
    Let’s say I have an application with 4 report pages. Three display some data about rows in my database. All 3 contain the column ‘Control #’ which is linked to the 4th report which displays more detailed information about that Control # object.
    When I click on the Control # link and go to the 4th report, I would like the Tabs current for the 4th report to match the Tabs current of the page I came from. In other words, if I clicked on the Control # link on page 1, I would like the 4th pages current tabs to match page 1’s current tabs. The same goes for pages 2 and 3.
    I’ve tried &(some global variable). and :(some global variable) and v(‘some global variable’) in the Tabs current pages fields but that doesn’t work.
    Is it possible to do what I’m trying to do?

    Reports 1, 2 & 3 all exist in individual two tab pages. Pages 1 & 2 would have the same parent tab and their own sub tab. Page 3 would have its own parent tab. When in those pages the appropriate tabs are 'current'. When I click on Control # on any page and go to page 4, I would like the source pages tabs to stay 'current' when displaying page 4.
    By the way, my actual application has in the neighborhood of a dozen pages which are like reports 1,2,& 3 as I described above. Rather than build a dozen identical (with the exception of current tabs) page 4's, I would rather build one page 4 and dynamically set page 4's current tab to the source page's current tab.
    It's a visual reminder to the user as to which page they were on when they clicked the Control # field.
    I also have 8 - 10 SVG charts which I have linked to reports. About 6 of them display the same report using different parameters. Again, I would like THAT report to have the same current tab as the source chart (chart clicked on to invoke the report).

  • In FF 7.0.1, the New Tab button on the Tab Strip disappeared after clicking the Tab Group icon and trying to return, so I'm looking for advice on how to get the New Tab to reappear on the Tab Strip.

    In Windows Vista, FF 7.0.1, I selected the Tab Group button to try it out. However, when I selected the Tab Group button again to close that view, the New Tab button in the Tab Strip no longer appears. I'm requesting help to restore the New Tab button (has the "+" sign on it) on the Tab Strip just to the right of the currently open tabs.

    You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.
    You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions.<br />
    Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
    If you can't find the New Tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window.
    If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible space to the left of it.
