Table of Contents Font in FR

HI,
How do we change the font which appears in table of contents in a HFR book,  I am using 11.1.2.3 version.
Thanks

Hi there,
I paste the wrong document.... http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/fr_webadmin.pdf In the web admin, page 27, it says: psbtreeview.css — Use this file to define the textual appearance in the Table of Contents such as color.
Can you please check and let us know?

  • How to change table of content font in captivate 6

    Hi There,
Can somebody please suggest me how to change table of Content Text font English to Arabic in Captivate 6 and which font supports Arabic language.
Please refer below image, highlighted text font should be changed.
    Looking forward for help.
    Thanks,
    Srikanth

The weird sliding navigation is Apples pride and joy!
That TOC allows you to slide between chapters, sections and pages.
iBooks Authjor was designed to do what it does and what Apple wanted it to do.
Some things can be changed during the books production,  but the " weird navigation"  is not something you can change to do what you want.
iBooks Author is does not produce ePubs.. at least not as "ePub" is known from Pages, inDesign etc,.
If you want what is available in ePubs.. then iBooks Author is not the application to produce it.
You could drag a section page above chapter on and create an index type page using book marks for links - but whats the point?
People using iPads and familiar with iBooksAuthors special way of book presentation.. are quite happy its so easy to use.

  • Table of Contents font issue

I have been having issue with font display in Table of Contents. Please take a look:
    In iBooks Author:
In iBook when previewed, it is partially chopped off!
I can only got the font to display right when scale to a size like 36. There is no option to increase the text box height, moving the text up or down, or move to front does not solve the issue.
    What do you think? Thanks!

Thanks for the help. But it does not work. There is no text box (only 2 points on side of text). The text height cannot be changed.
The text alignment is default to be top, but tried centre and bottom does not change anything (seems like there is no text box).

  • How do I make a table of contents for a collection of six short stories that is after the legal page and NOT in the front on an unnumbered page?

How do I make a table of contents for a collection of six short stories that is after the legal page and NOT in the front on an unnumbered page?
When I first started I made a title page and then pasted in my first story from a .TXT file. After cleaning up I went back to the front a couple of empty lines ahead of the story and typed in the story title.  Unlarged the font size and centered it, then

You can't do that. This is what the Pages User Guide, downloadable from your Pages Help menu, says:
Creating and Updating a Table of Contents
Each table of contents (TOC) you create using a Word Processing template lists only the content that follows it, up until the next table of contents. If you want a master table of contents for the entire document, it must be the only table of contents, and it must be at the beginning of the document.
You can do it manually though.

  • How can I include, in the table of content, a title that I have put on a shape?

    Hello all,
    1. I have a table of content
    2. I have added shapes
    3. I wrote text (titles. subtitles) on the shapes
    4. They do not appear in the table of content.
    5. They only appear in the table of content if they are not on a shape.
    Pages 5.5.2
    Can you help?
    Law

    Hi Law,
Text in a shape or a text box will not feature in the table of contents.
To get a colour behind your titles, type them into your document (not a shape). Format as Heading or some other paragraph style the TOC will recognise.
Select the title text and Format Panel > Text > Font > Gearwheel > Advanced Options.
Choose Character Fill Color and choose a colour from the palette (left) or colour circle (right).
Example Titles (all on the same page for a smaller screen shot).
Chapter 3 (in a coloured Text Box or Shape) does not appear in the TOC:
    Hint for cheats :
To give the titles a wider Character Fill Colour, add some Tab characters before and after.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • How can I change the paragraph style of the Table of Contents entries themselves?

From what I can see, all Table of Contents entries are the same font, size, indentation and layout when the book is viewed in Portrait mode on an iPad. I have long subheadings in my Table of Contents, and they get truncated!
How can I modify the style definition of the TOC entries themselves so that they will display in a smaller font size with less indenting, etc.?

Have you tried altering the style of the default items on the TOC page?

  • Why can't I update a table of contents in Windows InDesign CS 5.5?

I have clicked in a table of contents frame, but on my layout menu, "udpate table of contents" is grayed out.
I have "moved" my table of contents from an InDesign doc I created weeks ago into a new doc. I can update it in the old doc, but when it's copied into the new doc, the update option is no longer available.
Why can't I updated it once it's in another doc so I can use its TOC styles & layouts rather than having to redefine those all over again?
    Thanks!

Loading the TOC style gave me the fonts I wanted, but not the dots & the page numbers that were in the doc from which I loaded the styles.  My TOC has no page numbers now, but I do like the font.
Is there a trick to getting the page number display with the dots to show up?

  • White text in table of contents thumbnail

OK this has really got me stumped so I hope someone can help.
I have written the first chapter of my new book. All the font, including section headings, is black.
When I preview the book (on both iPad and my macbook) the thumbnail view of the table of contents has changed the text colour to white. So the text is now white on a white background and hard to read.
I am using the latest version of ibooks 1.01 and ibooks author 2.2.
I would be very grateful for any suggestions. This has not happened in any of my other books.
    Many Thanks
    Paul

    Mike,
I also include overset text in my TOC that is actually off of the viewable spread. At first, it didn't work (even though I asked it to include the text). Then, I moved the field to be a few px within the viewable spread but left the text still off of the edge and it worked.
I am doing this through Javascript with CS3.
You may be having an entirely different problem... but I hope this helps :)

  • Character override in Table of Contents and Index

Am using a Stone Sans Open Type phonetic font for several characters in headings and in index markers. When Table of Contents or Index generates, the phonetic characters are not displaying in the override font. All characters display in the base font, and the characters that have the phonetic font override display as errors. Have tried using a Character Style in the heading to change those characters (and making sure the same Character Style is in the Index document), and have tried using manual overrides to change those characters. Same results. Any suggestions?

@KH Allstars – What kind of error do you see displayed? Missing glyphs?
One possible solution would be a GREP Search/Replace or a GREP Style, that is applying the right Character Style for the phonetic forms.
We need two things to make that work:
    1. A "yes" to the question:
Are all Unicode values of the phonetic font distinct from the Unicode values of the regular font?
    If yes, we could:
    2. Make a GREP representation of a list, or better: a range of Unicode values and apply a Character Style to it, when found. Could be a GREP Style in a Paragraph Style.
To test this, just apply the base font to an already well formatted text with the phonetic font. If ALL glyphs showing as missing we are on the save side and could check for their Unicode range(s).

  • Chapter in Table of Contents

"There do not appear to be any chapters in your table of contents. This suggests that you need to properly set chapter divisions in your document."
Is what I keep getting everytime I try to convert my Microsoft Office file to an ePub. I have made sure that I have used the three fonts that Lulu supports - Times New Roman, Garamond and Arial as heading 1, 2 and 3, using 1 as my title and copyright notice, 2 as my chapter, prologue and epilogue fonts and 3 as the font for my writing. I have already gone through the formatting requirements, editing and re-editing the document so that I think it meets them. Please help!

Aha... I found out what I did wrong. I assumed that fonts were recognised as headings - the heading 1, 2, and 3 were under the 'home' tabe, 'styles'.
    ... I'm a moron.

  • Modifying Table of Contents

Is there any way to modify and edit the table of contents in Pages? I mean copying a table of contents and modifying the size and fonts etc.
    Thanks for your help!

I've had no luck copying a TOC and pasting it anywhere as plain text in order to modify it.
You can, however, modify or restyle a TOC. Each level of at TOC is a style, "TOC Heading 1, TOC Heading 2, etc." Put your cursor on any level of the TOC and modify the text any way you like. All other text of the same level in the TOC will change accordingly.
To make the change stick, click on the red triangle to the right of the style name in the Style Palette and select "Redefine Style from selection."
    Good luck,
    Terry

  • Compiling: libpango-1.0.dylib has no table of contents on Mac OS X 10.5 PPC

I am trying to build pango-1.36.3 as a dynamic library for Mac OS X 10.5 PPC. This is part of the dependencies I am putting togther, so I can build my own copy of the GIMP. I have built my own GIMP in the past and have had no problems compiling Pango. However, this time, the build fails when trying to link the executable pango-querymodules.
I get an error telling me that I have some undefined symbols. These symbols should be in the copy of libpango-1.0.dylib that was just built. When I find that library and run otool -Tv on it I find that it has no table of contents. When I tried otool -tv to disassemble the text section I find that the symbols are indeed there, but there is an empty table of contents so the library cannot be linked against. I was able to complete the compile when building only static libraries, but I do not want to use this build as the OSX "way" is to use dynamic libraries. I am on a newer installation of OSX 10.5 than when I built Pango earlier, so something must be awry in my build system. BTW, this also happens when trying to build GDK-Pixbuf, another Gnome library. I have not found anything useful on Google after hours of searching.
Can anybody give me a pointer as to where to look to fix this problem?

    Hmmm, no expert, but...

I believe this is due to an API change that is fixed in the new pango-1.22.0 so an upgrade is probably called for.

  • Table of Contents help

I have written a document that has 49 pages. It is a book of poetry.I have all the titles of each poem in a different font size.I would like to create a table of contents that displays the name of each poem with the correct page number.I do not know anything about how to do this or anything about paragraph styles.I know you must have to define the style then apply it to do it properly but can you lay it out in black & white because i am totally lost.
anyone acan contact me if they wish on any means just ask for my number & we can figure this out

Do all your titles look the same? Or do you have different looks for each poem?
If they're all the same, click in one and then in the Paragraph Styles panel, choose New Style and call it Title.
Now click in each Title and apply that style by clicking on the name in the panel.
Now use that style to drive your Table of Contents style.

  • How to remove Heading 4 from Table Of Contents

    HI,
how can i remove Heading 4 from the Table Of Contents in Word 2007?
I needed to create the Heading 4 (built in themes only go to level 3) by myself (it was very complicated) but finally managed to get it to work.
The problem is that when i view the properties of my theme it has the following attributes:
Font: Not Bold, Indent: Left:  1,9 cm, Hanging:  1,14 cm, Space Before:  6 pt, Style: Linked, Quick Style, Based on: Heading 3
The built in themes however have it different:
Indent: Left:  1,27 cm, Hanging:  0,89 cm, Level 3, Style: Linked, Quick Style, Based on: Heading 2, Following style: Indryk3
There is a parameter called "Level"which my theme does not have. When i create the Table Of Contents and set "Show levels" to 3 then it will display FOUR levels (three built-in and my Heading 4).
Please help. How to get the "Level" parameter to appear for my theme as well?

    Hi
Thanks for your answer. The only invisible character is the section break thing at the very top of the blank page. I can't figure out how to place it directly after the Table of contents. If I remove the section break, the Table of Contents merges with the following section, which is not what I want at all.

  • OHJ menus & table of contents/accessibility

    Greetings,
We are testing our application for accessibility, and found a problem with the OHJ help navigator. Running on WindowsXP, if I change my font size from Normal to Extra Large, the title bar of the OHJ help navigator changes but not the pull down menu fonts, or the fonts for the tabs or table of contents. I do know that I can change the font size of the actual help text via Tools->Font Size. However, we need to have the OHJ viewer respond to system changes and update the fonts for its menus, tabs, dialogs and the table of contents list.
Are there any flags or settings we can turn on when instantiating the help object so the help navigator responds to changes in the system font settings?
    thanks,
    Elizabeth.

Sorry, Elizabeth. There are no settings to help you with this.
