Tann item

Dear expert,
1. SO item 20 with item category TANN
2, PR and PO generated
3. GR item into SO sales stock (101 E)
4. Why when PGI item 20 stock from unrestricted in stead of SO sales stock ??(note have putthe right plant and storage location in DO)
Kindly help.
Cheers.

Hi Jon,
Item Category is linked to schedule line category. Movement type is defined in schedule line categories.
For Tann, default schedule line categories would be CP and CN and default movement type is 601 (delivery from unrestricted stock).
If u want to do PGI based on sales order stock, use an appropriate item categories, in standard system TAB and TAS are available. Create a new item category by copying from TANN and assign schedule line category CB (standard one or create a new one by copying from it). This would let u to deliver from a sales order stock.
Hope this helps.

  • TANN item category item not picking for return sales order

    Hi all,
I have a question regarding TANN item category. This TANN item category item is not picking for return sales order type. As far as i know RENN is the free goods for return sales order. Can you please clarify the above question further

    Hi
If you are making return order by copying sales order then please see this procedure also.
Try to check in the copy control also.
Go to the following path IMG u2013 Sales and Distribution u2013 Sales u2013 Maintain Copy control for sales documents. (Tcode VTAA)
Select copying control : sales document to sales document.
Search your return delivery order from the reference sales document type.
Then select the item from the left side Colum.
Go and find out TANN item category and click on detail.
Check out Item Cat proposal. If it is empty then type your RENN condition type over here.
Now try to create the return sales order it might work.

  • TANN item quantity should come in grey mode in sales order

    Hi,
Requirement is in a sales order for TANN item category the quantity should come in non editable (GREY) mode. For this as per my search in Google and forums i got the suggestion to use the "USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION in MV45AFZZ".But my technical (ABAP) is required more clarity about doing this. Can anybody suggest me in detail how to give logic for him?
For few cases For one sales organisation and for few distribution channels only this quantity should come in grey mode.

  • Availability Check not working for Item Cat TANN or YG05 in Btch Split

Currently working on implementing Automatic Batch Determination (BD) project and one fine piece is holding up the implementation (make or break for project).
    In our QA System:
      - In inventory we have a quantity of 2 for a material: 1 in one batch and 1 in another batch.
      - Create an order with 2 line items with the same material number for a quantity of 1 each.  Line item category is TANN
      - When you generate the delivery the batch determination causes the items to split (even though you have a quantity of 1 in the line item).
      - When you go into the delivery and open up the 1st line item and look at the 900001 line, BD chooses the 1st batch for a quantity of 1.  Line item category is YG05.
      - When you open up the 2nd line item and look at the 900002 line, BD chooses the 1st batch again, NOT the 2nd batch which it should.
If I change the line item category on the Sales Order to TAN and generate the delivery, BD correctly assigns the 1st batch to the 900001 line item and the 2nd batch to the 900002 line item.  Which is correct.
Now for the strange part.  The TANN item category and BD works find in our DEV Sandbox, but NOT in our QAS system.
I have spent two days now trying to find out where Availability Check is assigned specifically to Item  Categories and any differences between our DEV Sandbox and our QA systems to no avail.
Our customers need the ability to be able to put the same material number on multiple lines of a sales order due to special pricing per customer within an order.
Can anyone direct me to some configuration or transaction that controls Availability Checking by Item Category.  I have checked the 0VLP transaction and they are identical between our DEV and QA system for the TANN and YG05 categories.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In VOV6 the 'CP' Schedule Line Cat. has the Availability flag check.  There were a few areas where I found an "Availability" flag and made sure there were all set.
But, I did finally find out what the error was:
Logistics Exec -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Avail Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Transfer of Requirements -> Determination Of Requirement Types Using  Transactions
There are entries by Item Category.  For
    I/C = TANN
    MRP type = PD
the Requirement Type was missing (if you look at the entry for TAN/PD you see an 11 in the RqTy column).
So I entered a 11 (Delivery Requirement) into the field and now the Availability Check works and I am getting the correct Batches and quantities during Batch Determination.
There is no entry for the YG05 batch split, so I guess the system just uses the Item Category of the main line item.
Thanks for the responses.  Sorry to bother you I should have figured this out earlier.
    Scott.

  • Standard and free goods item category

    Hi
I have created one standard materia XYZ. in MM01( for Sales org 1000/ Dist. channel 10/  plant 1000.) and i have assigned TAN to this . Now i also need to process XYZ as free goods in some transactions. If  I  extend this material for the same organizational levels and  assign TANN to my material XYZ. then at the time of creating sales order how the system will respond?
Or should i have to change the item category in VF01 every time when i want to give XYZ as free goods?
what should be the right procedure?
    Regards
    Jyoti

    Hi Jyoti,
You mentioned that some times you send it as free item for this you better to enter TANN item category manually in the sales order  no need of enter the item category in the VF01.
Before entering the TANN in the sales order for free item you do the itemcategory determination in VOV4 transaction with TANN as like this
Document typeItemcatogory group-->Default itemcategory(DfltC)as TANManual item category as TANN(Mltca).
Now you can able to enter TANN itemcategory manually in sales order.
I hope it will help you,

    Murali.

  • Add new line item to free sales order

    HI All,
I have new requirement in creation of sales order . Here we have free promotion sales . Here if customer buy one material then he will get some other material as free .In standard sap we can give only one line item as free not more than that .
Here our requirement is more than one line item . I suggested them maintain all the free materials in one Ztable when ever the original material will come for sales order then i have to fetch these materials from ztable automatically and it should create sales order. I started doing this using user exit FORM USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP.
These are the below links i checked in our sdn. Adding Line items to sales order on creation using User-Exit in VA01.
Please give me some idea on this .Please tell me if it is possible with configuration.
    Regards,
    Madhu.

    Hi,
We also had a requirement where we needed to give some items free of charge in a standard sales order. We end up using the tann item categories for the item which are suppose to go free. Please note user will need to manually change the item category of the line items intended as free of charge.
    thanks

  • Sample Material in the 3rd Line item of the Sales Order

    Hi,
We have configured the system in the sales order as follows.
    1. Commercial Material
    2. Bonus Material.(ie Free Material)
Now, i want to add the 3rd line item in the sales order as Sample with different Material number. How go about this. kindly let me.
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi there,
Enter the material in the sales order & change the item catg manually in VA02.
But free goods & sample materials are dealt differently..
Freegoods is entered as TANN item catg along with nornam TAN item in standard order OR.
But sample materials or free of charge items are processed through different order type FD for eg.
Even thought the item catg proposed in FD is TANN,, the whole process will not have pricing as TANN items arenot relevant for pricing.

  • Problem with free of charge items

    Hi experts,
I am trying to create a free charge item and system is not proposing TANN item category automatically.
There are no other items in the order except for this free of charge item.
    Am i missing some steps?
    Thanks

In sales order overview screen, enter the original material as well as the material you want to give away for free.
Assign the lowest level item to the higher level item by indicating item number of higher level item in field HgLvlt.
If item number of higher level item is 10. Then against item number for your free item, in field HgLvlt enter 10.
Once you do this, you would get message that item category will be redetermined.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • TAN and TANN in one sale order: Two G/L for TAN & TANN for same condition

    Dear Experts
In one of our business scenario, we are creating the standard sale order for commercial material (item cat TAN). In same order second line item is free of cost material (item cat TANN).
Now for second line item we have entered 100% discount RA00 with same account key  of price condition i.e. 'ERL' . Because of which price will post to customer via price condition and will get reversed via RA00 as second line item.
If we want to post this amount in separate G/L account. How to customize ?
    Please suggest
    Regards
    Kailash

    Dear Kailash,
    As Mr.Raja suggested rightly.
You need to use R100 condition type for 100% discount not RA00 condition type.
Is there any specific reason to use RA00 condition type instead of R100 condition type.
RA00 condition type is header condition type not item condition type.
R100 condition type is item condition type
Maintain R100--100% discount condition type in your pricing procedure.
Define and assign the discount account key ERS to the R100 condition type in your pricing procedure control data.
You assign the different G/L accounts to ERL and ERS account key through VKOA transaction.
Now in the order you go to TANN item -->Item data here you enter R100-100% discount manually.
Now System will post the values (ERl and ERS values) to different G/L accounts when you post the billing document.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Multiple Line Items in billing

    Dear All,
I got one issue on production server, the scenario is like this,
My client gives one Free of Cost (Item Category is TANN) On purchase of one material like XYZ(with item category TAN).
And while creating Sales order it takes FOC automatically.
And when i am trying to do billing it shows FOUR Line items instead of TWO.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem...
    What should i check...?
    Its urgent...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ullas Kumar

    Hi ullas
As your requirement is in invoice VF01, you want to see multiple line items . that means, if you have entered 1line item then 1line item will be free so totally 2 line items will come in sales order with TAN&TANN item categories. But in invoice you want 4line items
so go to VTFL and check the billing quantity feild as B and check the cumulative cost feild
    Reward if useful

  • Free Sample items to be captured in separate G/L Account

    Hi all,
I gone through the thread before posting this because of some confustion still i had in my mind.
My cleint requirement is Finished products which normally processed in the sales order as TAN, some times given to customer as a "FREE SAMPLE" for a promotion purpose or during new product launch.
While sending Material to the customer these "FREE SAMPLE", my client not collecting any amount.
    The invoce value is ZERO.
But for accounting point of view they want to capture this FREE SAMPLE ITEMS. They have to show the government about the value of free sample distributed for a certain period.
I tried to convince my client use it as a FREE GOODS, TANN item category, for FREE SAMPLE also.
*But they want to capture both FREE GOODS and FREE SAMPLES in DIFFERENT G/L account.
    Can anyone suggest me.?
    Regards
    Harish

    Hi Harishkumar,
What is the material code for the sample material? Is it the same as that of the finished goods? If it is different then you can create a separate material account asignment group.
A.........Separate material code for the sample material.
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Account Assignment/Costing - Revenue Account Determination - Check Master Data Relevant For Account Assignment - Materials: Account Assignment Groups
Execute & create a new one for sample material.
In the material master of the sample material select the material account assignment group & in VKOA maintained the G/L account as per the material account assignment group.
Note: In case of sample sale, the order type will not be relevant for billing. If at all you make it relevant for billing the system will create an accounting document when the invoice is saved because for the accounting entries to be hit an invoice should be created.
B........Same material for the sample sale (finished goods material will be sent as a sample)
In this case you will be having some entry in the material account assignment group which will be copied in the sales order. But in the sales order the material account assignment group is not changeable at the item level. When you create the invoice make sure the material account assignment group is changed so that when the invoice is saved the system will post the value in the relevant G/L account (specially created for free goods & sample goods).
Also as it is a sample sale the sales Tax will not be applicable, so in the pricing you will only have the selling price condition type.
    1. Create a Z document type copying from FD document type in transaction code VOV8.
    2. Create a separate item category, copy from KLN & save as ZKLN........in the field billing relevance select option "A" so that system will allow invoice based on the delivery only...........in the field pricing select X - standard pricing.
    3. In transaction code VOV4 do the item category determination for the new document type.
    4. Maintain the copy control settings........sales order to delivery...........delivery to invoice.
    5. Create a new pricing procedure for sample sales & do the pricing procedure determination in OVKK. Check the document pricing procedure assignment.......assign C to the new sales order type.
    6. In transaction code VKOA maintain the relevant G/L account determination as per the sample account assignment group.
Run a complete cycle & check the accounting entries. But this will be shown as an open item in transaction code FBL5N.
    With best regards,

  • Item usage

    hai all....
In determining a item category system takes in to account sales document type, item category group, higher level item category and item usage.so what actually are item usage and higher level item category. item category is linked to item group and order type in SPRO but where are item usage and higher level category linked to it.....?
    Will be rewarded if helpfull..
    Rewards Jhansi.

    Hi Jhansi,
Think the senario of free goods , when a customer orders for 10 pacs of A ,say we give 2 pacs of B as free.
how would the system understand this that for matl B it should not take price.
this is ecplained by higher level item category and usage.
<b>item        matrl          qty                                                       Item Cat</b>10           A               10   ( higher level item ) Main item             TAN
    20           B                2    ( sub item )            Free goods           TANN
for the main item item cat determination is
    <b>Doc type    I C Group           Item Category</b>
    OR         +   Norm               TAN
for the free goods item cat determination is
    <b>Doc type    I C Group   Higher level I C      Usage    Item Category</b>
OR        +   Norm      + TAN               +    Free              TANn
Item usage and higher level item category are linked in the item category detrmination in SPRO.
    Hope this helps u .

  • Items given for free

    Hi,
I need a list of the most commonly used scenarios where an item is given away free. And then  a detailed listing of the pros and cons... plus what happens to the accounting document... the invoice and other things?

    Hi there,
Free of charge scenarios is used in the following cases:
    1) when a new product is launched, free samples are sent to the customers. Order type used here is FD free of charge delivery.
    2) free goods is given along with other products. For eg when a customer buys 10 quantities of item X, either 1 quantity of item X or Y is given free (inclusive / exclusive). Standard order OR is used here.
    3) For eg out of 10 items sent to the customer, 2 items are damaged in transit / of bad quality, replacement products are sent to the customer. Subsequent delivery free of charge SD is used here. SD is usually created against a returns RE order.
In all the above cases free of charge item is TANN item catg where the item is relevant for billing but pricing is not carried out. Pricing field in VOV7 is not checked for TANN.
It is upto the company to decide if they want to charge freight tax for the free goods.

  • Cc stock transfer free item can't billing

    Dear Gurus,
We are using the cross-company stock transfer. However,in the cc
PO,we have some free items. After doing the picking,we bill this cc
delivery notes. However, the free item can't display.
The item category in Deli. note of this free item is NLC.We want to bill this
free item just like TANN item category in sales order. Can SAP implement this
function and how can i do?Thanks advance!

    Hi,
With t-code VTFL to define a copy control from delivery document to billing document, assign the free item category TANN into the list of copy item, then you can find them in the billing document.
    Good luck
