Target System in transport request is blank

Hi
I set the transport system in a scenario DEV, QAS and PRD.
When I create an order request, the field target system is blank.
Where should I set it for me automatically display the system QAS as a system target ?
Thanks,
Enrique

Hi,
just adding my solution for future references..
I had similar problem but when I checked our transport package it was showing wrong transport layer..
Make sure your present transport package transport layer attribute is correct or not by using se21 or se80.
we have entered correct transport layer under our package and all working fine.

  • Locationg source system object  transport request number in target system .

    Hi,
After the object is pushed from source system to target using SCC1 for cross clients but same systems or STMS for cross-systems, if we want to see the object's source system's transport request number in the target system, how can we see that ?
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Hi Rajesh
If my understanding is correct you want to know the source server in the target system( i.e where we have transported).
For cross-system objects, as you know we use STMS to transport them...
    In the target system:
    1. SE10
    2. Click on Transports button.
    3. Select the required request and expand the node.
    4. You will have the first one which has log only for Export.
The node with only Export log is the source system...
    Hope this helps...

  • Deleting Variable in production system vis Transport request

    Hello,
I need to delete a variable in production system via Transport request how can we do this?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Open the query in BEx in Development system, delete the variable form the query. The pop-up will arise for a new transport request. Capture the query in new request and then transport the same to Production.

  • All Values Deleted from Target System when transporting new values added

    Hi,
Wasn't really sure where to put this question.
I created a maintenance view between two Z tables. A main key table and a text table.
I added the new values to the maintenance view and transported successfully.
I then had a request to create 3 more values.
I added these three and transported these to the target QA system.
However when the transport completed, all entries bar one had been deleted from the Z table but the Z text table had all existing entries plus the three new ones.
I've tried manually creating a transport and adding all 10 entries but this has the same problems.
If I SCC1 the entry from one dev client to another it works fine.
Has anyone come across this problem befor and know how to resolve it?
    Many Thanks
    David

Yes, I managed to sort it.
    This is what I did:
I created a new blank transport.
For the task created under the transport I then opened the task object list.
I then added two entries in this list. i.e. one for each table that was in the view.
    My entries where:
    Entry 1:
    Program ID: R3TR
    Object Type: TABU
    Object Name: ZNR_REASON
Then click on the key icon and add:
    Table Name: ZNR_REASON
Table Keys: 200* (NOTE 200 is our development client). The '*' is needed to that ALL entries are included in the transport.
    Entry 2:
    Program ID: R3TR
    Object Type: TABU
    Object Name: ZNR_REASONT
Then click on the key icon and add:
    Table Name: ZNR_REASONT
Table Keys: 200* (As above 200 is our development client). Again the '*' is needed to that ALL entries are included in the transport.
    I hope this helps.

  • Help !!! - Webservices not accessible in target systems after transport

    Hi
We have a ECC 5.0 box ( WAS 640 ) and have created Webservice definitions and released it to SOAP runtime. We were able to make calls to the this Webservice from external SOAP clients and looks ok. We had this webservice definition ( and its associated objects like - virtual interface, server proxy implementation etc ) moved to our QA system. In the QA system - we had to release the WS for runtime using t.code WSCONFIG and the service shows up in SICF transaction under /default_host/sap/bc/srt/xip/sap/ as active . But we are unable to access the service in our QA system http://xxxxxx:8625/sap/bc/srt/xip/sap/SVCNAME?sap-client=080&wsdl=1.1 ?
We checked the icm monitor from SMICM and everything looks ok in QA and the very same as in development. Can anybody out there help me with this ? Any pointers/similar experiences /known problems with transport webservices- and how you resolved it would be extremely helpful and appreciated.
This is the first time we are trying out this mode and we are under time-pressure to get this working. Please help !!!

  • Transporting ALE Distribution Model to a Target System

    Hi,
How do I transport an ALE Distribution Model from a Development System to another target system
While transporting, how do I ensure that in the target system, the ALE Model points to the correct partner system?
          e.g. a Dev System1 points to a Dev System2. Hence a QA System1 must point to QA System2.
When I created the ALE Model, the system prompts for a transport request, so there must be a way to transport the same
    Regards,
    Aditya

    Hi Aditya,
In my experiences, we always maintain manually the distribution model and partner profile in our production system due to data integrity and security reasons.
However, we always maintain the distribution model and partner profile for QA system from development system via transaction BD64.
For logical system name, you need to tranport from DEV -> QA -> PROD system.
    Hope this will help.

    Hi Dominik
What is the target of this transport request? Are you sure it's not marked as "local" in transaction SE01 for example? Because if it is a local transport request, it will not generate a file.

  • Transport Request Number shown as Blank in Version Management

    Hi Experts,
I am creating transport request for report programs using the function modules IW_C_CREATE_TRANSPORT_REQUEST and
TR_INSERT_NEW_COMM .Once created i am able to see the transport no in SE01 .But when i tried to make any changes in the program and save ,its asking for a new transport request. Also in version management the transport request is blank .
Please suggest me where i went wrong.
    Regards,
    Lakshman.

    Hi
Just check if your report objects are getting linked to the Transport in se01.If not then it means that this FM only creates a TP# and not attaches that to Report Objects.
You then need to manually attach the Report object to this TP#.

  • How to delete the Transport Request?

    Hi all,
I want to delete the Transoport Request from Production Box( we have 2 request number... one child another one parent). I released the Child Request. Now i want to delete that request. we don't have setup in our production Box i think(in order to release that we don't have setup in Production Box).
Any Idea? I know how to delete that Transport Request. If i try to release that i'm getting TP(Transport Profile error) <b>with return Code 12</b>. it suppose to handle by Basis. My basis consultant is not aware of how to work on this?
    Regards,
    Nagesh Ganisetti.

I am not sure I understand.
You release the request in the system you created, not in another system (in your case production). It will then go to the import queue of the target system.
Transports will be configured in all the systems in your landscape (including production).
Just by releasing a request, it will not go to the target (unless it is configured so, not likely if the target is production), someone has to import it into the target. I assume you do not want this request to go to target. In this case, release it, then go to STMS, import queue, and delete it from there.
    Added -
I now see that the request is in production.
Igore the above in that case.
If you are not able to release it, let it be. If you are doing an upgrade/support pack, you will need to release it.
When you try to delete, what message do you get?

  • Delete table from target system

    Hi Folks,
I have transported a table to the target system which should not have been transrpoted. The table actually doesn't meet the right naming conventions and have some unecessary fields. I want to remove the table present in the target system and transport a new table which has the right fields and right naming conventions.
    Regards,

Ask this question in ABAP forum.
By the way when you delete the table in Dev system then it will create one transport request and you just need to transport the request into the system from where you want to delete the table.

  • Released the Transport Request which is in Local Change Request

    Hi,
Actually without knowing I have released  transport requests which are  under Local Change Request.Due to this they are not available for importing in Quality system. My  Package is also there in one of those Requests. Now please guide me how to recover these requests.
    Regards
    Karthik

    Hello Karthik
The easiest way should be to copy the object list of your local request to a new (transportable) workbench request.
However, the system might tell you that your objects can only be put into a local request.
In this case you need to find out why your objects are not (yet) transportable.
Usually there are two reasons for local request:
1.) The request does not have a target system -> check the request header and enter the correct target system (if possible)
2.) Your package has an inappropriate transport layer assigned -> change the transport layer

  • STMS change systems in the request

    Hello,
Due a administration process, I have in the Development systems transport request released with the wrong target systems.
Of course I need import the released request to the correct target system, how i can do this?
Because is not posible change the target systems in released requests.
Any idea to transport the request to the correct target systems?
    thanks in advance
    Javier

    Hello,
I have  a pretty simple solution provided both the incorrect target and correct target systems are included in the same TMS i.e are having same TMS domain. I am also assuming that the transports have not been imported into incorrect target system.
In this scenario go to the import queue of the incorrect target system (using STMS_IMPORT). Select the block of transport requests which need to be moved to correct target. This can be done from menu using EDIT-->SELECT BLOCK.
After this from menu choose Request>Forward>System. Give the correct target system and then these transports will also get forwarded to import buffer of correct target.
If however the transports have been imported in incorrect target system then you need to go import history and then there again do a block selection and then forward those teansport .
Using this you can do an enmass forwarding in one single go.
Using the option Extras>Other Requests>Add you can add only 1 transport at a given point of time unless of course you use CATT like I do.
    Regards.

  • How to modify the transport request

    hi frnds,
i need ur suggestions, we have created the transports and we didnt specified the target system becoz there was no connectivity at that time. now we have connectivity to the target, how can can we add the target to the transport requests which was created by us??????

Thats gonna be a tricky one and would take lot of BASIS involvement rather than BI folks.
What SAP does when you release the transport is, that it looks into the IMG setting to find the target system and generate a file on the operating system for which BASIS Admin would have access to. So ask ur basis folks to locate the file based on ur transports on the OS and import it to the target system(though SAP doesnt recommend it).
Other than that the only option would be to recreate all ur transports (assuming now you have a traget system defined in IMG settings)
