Task completion through email

I am trying to complete the task within Task Notification email itself.
I configured the custom email template to have all the actions of the assigned task (displays as expected).
When the user clicks on any action link, it open email client with approriate action name and a digest code.
But after sending the email, the task still running (not completed after sending email).
PS: I unchecked the option 'user must open the form to complete the task'

Hey Nith,
I think the Completion task can be used to send across the notification for completion of task. The Action flag needs to be updated once the service action has reached to the final task. Although, this should have been updated once the Service orchestration is completed.
But, please check the Task Notification -> Completion Task. If you can add this task in the orchestration workflow, I think it should send across the completion flag update to the Service.
You need to capture the Task ID dynamically, probably if you can do that using XPath, UserID (who completes the task), mail from - from email address of the message, user - action - action being taken, Output - Outputstring to capture the String result returning from the service.

Project 2013 No Server, No Sharepoint, Updating Tasks From Assigned Resources Through Email

Ok,
I have searched high and low for this type of information and Im surprised after all these years that no one has asked or requested this type of information?
I am a consultant, with my own version of Project 2013 to track how I run Projects. This is the tool I use. So this being the case it makes no sense for me to spend millions of dollars for Project Server. I am just one person useing this
as my tool of choice.
My issues are:
I create and assign a task to a resource with a name and an email address.
I litterally have thousands of tasks with hundreds of assigned resources (People) with an email address.
I need to update weekly all my task!!! The entire point of using Project 2013 as a tool!
However it appears Microsoft needs to make this very dificult to do. If I have to manually email all these people with task and manually ask them for an update, then manually update all these task then whats the point of even bothering using Micrsofts Project
2013? It is useless.
I need a way to automate these updates without having a Server.
The Question no one seems to be asking is this?
Is there a way to update task through email, (Outlook), Why cant I send emails with a table of tasks assinged, request update in the task table, then the assigned resource sends me back the email with thier updates and I can automatically update my Project
Task?
Am I the only one who has asked this or thought of this? Or are my expectations to high? I cant figure how Microsoft could ever expect a single user of Project even with only one project with 50 to 100 task listed to have to get on the phone or emal
every single person manually, and manually update every single task every single week? I have used other Project type apps and they all have a way of sending emails out to assigned people to get task updates automatically. Only Project doesnt!

Really for the amount of money I have to pay for a Product that should have some way to update tasks.
Think about this for minute. I believe Project 2007 was able to do this ,,,, that made sense....
Really ponder this question: What is the purpose of Microsoft Project for a single user? Does anyone ask these questions prior to development?
The reason for Project to exist is to TRACK TASK! THATS IT! Why would anyone want to track any type of task, hundreds of task MANUALLY? It does me no good for me to be the only one tracking task. It does me no good for me to be the only
one looking at the task schedule. Great, so IM THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS WHATS GOING ON?
So I ask this question.
If this is the case then what is the point of tracking anything if it cant be shared or updated in some way or another? Microsoft Project is useless as a single use product!
Here is the kicker....
I can purchase Outlook for a lot less, I can track any and all task, assign task to anyone with an email, I can assign and schedule task through Outlook and place an alert, set it as an appointment through the Calendar, change and assign start and end dates,
and get updates through email on any task, calendar, anything.... Why then would I waste ANYTIME OR MONEY ON A USELESS TASK TRACKING PRODUCT LIKE PROJECT? It does not do anything? Outlook does a thousand times more than Microsoft Project!
Does that make any sense to anybody? All Microsoft Project really is... is a stripped down Calendar/Task from Outlook with no ability to email, or communicate in any way shape or form with other people who are assigned the work. What ends up happening
is Microsoft expects single users to purchase Project Server? Are you crazy? This is the single reason why Project does not sale! If Microsoft would go back to sales metrics of Project 2007 they would see a decline till now that will reflect
this problem. Its really a simple fix. Sales would triple. Until there is a solution it makes way more sense for me to use Outlook, schedule work task on others calendars and have them send me an update weekly through an automated spreadsheet
through Outlook. From there all the reports exist in Excel. Why do I need Project anymore? BTW I have been a MS Project user since its inception.... SO IM not new to it... what a terrible waste of time, resources, and lack of
vision for just a simple powerful addin that was removed after 2007. Single users like myself will never purchase Project Server just so we can send emails with assigned task for an update,,, silly?

Problems routing faxes through email

I have a Windows Server 2008 fax server that is giving me some problems when trying to route inbound faxes via email.
Sometimes it will work, and then eventually an inbound fax will get stuck with a status of "Retrying Routing" when viewing it in the Windows XP Fax Console on the client. When this happens, the fax server will record the following 2 events in the Application event log:

If I clear all the stuck faxes out of the "Incomming" folder of the fax console, then future faxes might come through successfully (by clear I mean delete them).
I followed the instructions from the following link to get an authenticated user set up instead of using anonymous, but that hasn't helped.

According to your description, I understand that you have problem with routing faxes through email. You may implement the action plan below to address this issue.
Action plan:
================
1. Check Exchange setting.
2. Please follow SBS blog, check Exchange System Manager for the following setting and remove it if it exists:

3. Disable your antivirus software and retest.
4. If you are running AVG 8 which has SPAM filtering capabilities. Go into Server Manager and configure the associated service to DISABLED:
5. Reboot the server and confirm the service is not running within Server Manager
6. Retest sending faxes to the server and note the results.
If the issue persists, then clean-boot the server and retest again. Use msconfig to disable all third party services and startup programs.
1.Launch MSCONFIG.exe on the server.
2.Under the General tab, select "Selective Startup" and uncheck all of the sub-items except for "Load System Services"
3.Choose the Services tab and then select the "Hide all Microsoft Services" option.
4.Click the "DISABLE ALL" button to disable the list of third-party services.
5.Choose the APPLY and the CLOSE button. Then Restart.

We went through my friend's phone and my daughter's email and phone number are not in it. I have never given my daughter's iphone number to my friend. Is it something to do with gmail or my apple id? My daughter (14) has been using my computer as her "base" for HER Iphone.
My friend does use her iphone number as an email address as well.
For instance: her phone number might look like this: (493) 305-3958
and her email address would look like this: [email protected]
If I Iphone/email my friend, she receives it as a text message. Then if she replies to that text message, it goes to my daughter's phone and not mine. It's completely crazy! We searched her phone contacts and did not find my daughter's phone number anywhere or attached anywhere to mine. Since when does Iphone emailing wind up in the text messaging area?

Outlook tasks completed in iOS Reminders app regenerate 'orphaned' reminders endlessly in Outlook.

Our small business runs up-to-date (iOS 8) Apple devices that sync via MS Exchange with our email, contacts, reminders, etc.
I create a task in Outlook and include a reminder. The task and reminder sync to Reminders on my iPhone and iPad. When I mark a task complete on mobile, the reminder disappears there as it should... but it regenerates the reminder in Outlook! The Outlook task is complete, but the reminder pops up at the top of the list in the Outlook reminders pop-up window. Marking it complete there is an option, but it just regenerates a new reminder. The only way to remove this 'orphan' reminder is to dismiss the reminder or delete the task.
The iOS 8 Reminders app would be very useful but for this bug. It's even better that it puts my work tasks and home tasks (we use a Mac at home so no problem there) in one place. But as it is, the app is not a time saver, but a time-waster and a source of frustration.

Details for the print program:
In the customer namespace, a central class is first created that takes care of actually shipping the e-mail with texts and attachments.
Furthermore, application-specific classes are created in the customer namespace (if required). At present, these are available for purchasing documents (purchase order, request for quotation, and so on) and sales documents (sales order or order acknowledgment, quotations, and so on). Further applications can be considered after consultation.
You can continue to use the print program that you have used up until now. Only minor adjustments are required in order to use the corresponding class in the case of external sending (Medium 5).
A new dummy message type is created in Customizing. You can use transaction MN04 to create an additional condition record for this message type for the relevant vendor. However, medium 7 is used here, which allows you to maintain communication settings. The communication settings include an individual e-mail text and an individual recipient list (type INT) for each condition record.
The dummy message type is not used in the purchase order, rather it is used only as a workaround to enable you to maintain recipients and texts in the standard system with ease.
A new Z table is created that contains each application (KAPPL) and purchasing organization parameter. In this way, for example, the text prefixes can be filled for the attachments in the e-mail or you can specify which additional attachments are to be copied to the e-mail.
Processing the message:
If the message type of the purchasing document is processed, the recipients and the text are read from the dummy message type and are added to the e-mail. Placeholders (for example, &EKKO-EBELN&) may be triggered.
If NO condition record is found for the dummy message type, the system uses the standard text and the recipient address from the master record. In this way, you automatically continue to have the standard behavior (with an additional e-mail text) for partners that you do not want to receive special treatment.
The purchasing document is attached as a PDF file.
Further attachments are added as described in the settings (see above). There is a distinction made between attachments from the generic object services (GOS) and attachments from the Document Management System. The Document Management System attachments can be assigned, for example, to the object EKPO (purchase order item) or MARA (material master).
If no errors have occurred up to now, the completed e-mail is sent and delivered to the sending system. Otherwise, errors can be transferred to the message collector as normal and can be checked there.

Failover Cluster events through email

I'm trying to get Windows Server 2008 Failover clustering events through email. I don't see "Attach a task" option in Clustering events.
Could anybody suggest how to accomplish it. Please note down we have a 4 node cluster and would like to run the script on remote computer.

You have to make sure your mailing of SCOT is being sent out.
Regular SCOT job for mailing is sufficient, it does not require additional one (INT option).

Sending pics and videos through email

help whenever I try to send pics or video through email I'm getting the message " Cannot send mail. the server rejected one of the recipient's addresses." I've tried sending this from my mac(mobileme) account and my yahoo account. All the smtp servers are set to "on". I'm new to using the iphone and I was hoping that i'd at least be able to send pictures and my videos through email like i was able to on verizon.... all my accounts(yahoo,mac,and gmail) are denied doing this though. yahoo completely shuts off and closes mail when i attempt to do it and mac gives me the above mentioned message. I'm running 3.1. Please help me if you can I'm not sure how to change things and I don't want to risk losing everything I have by a hard reset or changing things and screwing up the phone....

The error message provided usually indicates the SMTP server being used is being blocked by the internet service provider being used at the time, but all the email accounts you are accessing have an authenticated SMTP server, and an authenticated SMTP server is usually not blocked by an internet server provider including when connected to AT&T's cellular network.
I don't know what you are calling a hard reset, but an iPhone reset does not affect any data or settings. An iPhone reset is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
If powering your iPhone off and on doesn't make any difference, try an iPhone reset.

Error while trying to open an attachment sent through email in smartform

Hi,
My requirement is to send the smartform through email as PDF attachment.I am able to send the mail.But when I try to open the attachment I am getting error as 'Adobe reader could not open the attachment 'advance shipment notification.PDF' because it is either not the supported file type or the file has been corrupted(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and was't correctly decoded)'.What does it mean?
Can anyone give me a proper solution for this?

Need to Generate PDF file and send it to customer through email-ALV report

HI All,
I am having data in Internal table.
can we create PDF file with out having spool-request number.
My requirement is whenever user clicks on execute button the output is generated in PDF format automatically and then send it to customer through email.
I found few programs in SDN for generation PDF. But problem is everyone passing the spool request to the function module.
spool request will be generated whenever we click on print button.
Am I correct?.
Is there any other way to create spool request automatically. If so we can pass the this spool number to the function module.

Dunning letter through email

Hi,
I want to send dunning letter ( Tcode F150) through email.As per SAP note 328124, I copied OPEN_FI_PERFORM_00001040_P into z FM. Also add new entry for 00001040 event in FIBF tcode.But still when Iam running the Tcode F150, it shows print preview option.Email is not sent to the user. When I debug the program, it stops in std. FM ( i.e OPEN_FI_PERFORM_00001040_P ) not in Z FM that I have created. Please guide on this issue.
