Task Percent Complete and Actual Dates - RELATE TO STATUS
Hi,
We are on PPM 5.0.
For Project Management (cProjects), we have a requirement whereby task status should not be set to 'Complete' unless:
1. The Percent Complete is 100%
2. The Actual Start and Actual Finish dates have been entered.
Is it possible to realize this?
Please advise.

%age completion is independent of the status of the task as per standard SAP PPM 5.0. You'll need to use BADIs in order to meet you requirement.

The model classes get generated under gen_cmi folder at the time of model import.
As far I know, the Web Dynpro build operation also re-generates these classes if reqd.
That is why I asked you to delete the gen_* folder content & do a Project Rebuild operation.
Or you can delete the model & try importing it again.
If the problem persists with the generated classes then there is an issue/bug with the generation & I would recommend to raise an OSS message (WD Java component)

The plan and actual data is differentiated on the basis of value of infoobject 0VTYPE. Value 10 is for actual. Different plan versions can be differentiated by different values of infoobject 0VERSION.
These values are populated when actual data is loaded or plan data is entered.

It will be easier for you to maintain the data in a single application. Every application needs to have the category dimension, mandatorily. So, you can use this dimension to maintain the actual and plan data.

Seriously...FaceTime is banned there...there is no way to add it back to your phone...if you wanted FaceTime, you should not have purchased your phone there.

I am currently executing the below scenario and following http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26070_11/otn/pdf/integration/E26075_01.pdf for the same.
SRC: AGILE
TRG: OBIEE
As per the above i get out of the box packages which are used and executed , since this is something which comes out of the box how to determine whether my data load is complete and data has gone through from SRC->ODM->TRG?
My Operator and sessesion show success and secondly i don see any errors in logs as well .
Any help ? Anybody already experienced above scenario please help .

How Distinguish planning data and Actual data in a Planning cube

I want to dispaly planning data & actaul data in a query how can i do it?
in my query it is showing all the requests it is not distinguishing.Well use infoobject 0VTYPE for actual and plan differentiation
and 0VERSION to categorise which version of Plan data it is,typically you might have different planning versions .
Example
0VTYPE = 10 actual
0VTYPE = 20 plan
0VERSION = 001
0VERSION = 002
0VERSION = 003
Business decides which 0version value to be taken as final planning version once freezed.0VTYPE = 10 for actuals is always one ,it do not have 0VERSION to be taken in to account.

Assessing Complex Region and XML Data Relations
First off, I've used Spry on multiple projects and have loved it. Great product extension. The forum responses and code examples have been quite supportive as well. However, this project is more complex and I need help from the experts.
Here's the situation: Nothing is static...all data is populated from one XML doc. No code to show at the moment. (see image for ref)
1. Is this possible to accomplish with SPRY?
2. How would you suggest setting up the regions in terms of relation to one another? master? detail? nested data structures?
3. the XML. ugh. (see file) Hope my XML term references are correct in asking this. How do I create a (filter)function to look for and compare similar element values (see xml: info/depts/dept/sub == info/vendors/vendor/sub)? Then apply that function to the generated subcategories text (Region 3) and filter product images (Region 4) based on the selected subcategory name? Basically, only products that have that subcategory name should show.
4. Are there any limitations (off the top of your head) for the tooltip feature or a paged view feature in a interface such as this? (applies to Region 4)

That is the reason why I would suggest to create multiple data sets.
1 data set = detail / master regions
2 result set
From your image..
region 1 = master
region 2 = detail
region 3 = nested
region 4 = result set
for filtering i would suggest looking at the examples, use either xpath based filtering or non destructive.

no, just make sure, your "rebuild" the constructor of you tooltip each time the region updates. (use Region observers like onPostUpdate for this)

I am new at writing vi's and hope you may be able to help. I would like to create a vi that will graph measurements taken from a daq device. I would like to include text data that a user can choose from (example: machine number, test circuit, load cell type) that will stay with the graph so when the graph is viewed at a later time the text data (explaining parts of the graph) will display with the graph data. I have included a vi I am using to capture and display a force value. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

When you save a file, use the BUNDLE function to bundle your machine number, test circuit, whatever (include a few spare fields), plus your graph data. Get the graph data from the source, or use a local variable of the graph itself.
Wire the bundle output to the DATALOG TYPE of a NEW FILE function. (I presume you'll use a FILE DIALOG set to SAVE FILE to choose a file path).
Write the same bundle output to the DATA input of a WRITE FILE function.
Use a CLOSE FILE function to (ahem) close the file.
When you want to read a file, use a FILE DIALOG set to EXISTING FILE (or some other means) to specify what file to read. Wire the same cluster type to the DATALOG TYPE of the FILE DIALOG, so that it will only
offer files of the correct type.
When you have a file path chosen, wire the bundle to the DATALOG TYPE input of a FILE OPEN operation.
Use a FILE READ to read a single cluster - the output of FILE READ will be a cluster of the right type.
Use a CLOSE FILE function to....
Out of the FILE READ function, you can UNBUNDLE BY NAME the data and send to the graph and the other fields, or, if you're clever, you can use a cluster on the screen, and not unbundle it. That's harder though, since you probably want the text fields to be controls (inputs) and the graph to be an indicator (output).

Original dates in comparison of actual dates
Hi Experts
I have a project with certain activities and partily executed (few activities are confirmed and partially confirmed).
For the finally confirmed activities, the planned earliest and latest dates if activity are matched with actual dates.
To have an analysis of planned and actual dates, how to retain the original dates?
Over a period of time, i have incerted new activities. To enable bringing these activities in schedule, i need to re-schedule the project.
But, the origjnal schedule also will get rescheduled. I am looking for retaining the original schedule despite repeated reschedules for the purpose of future analysis.
Generally, the project progress in gantt chart (general business requirement) is monitored with out deviating the original schedule.
Require comments by experts.

My scheduling scenario is bottom up, because the individual activities and procurement lead times will decide the actual planning for each WBS.
So, as you suggested, once after complete structuring and initial scheduling, i will transfer the basic dates to forecast dates.
Then onwards i will keep reschedule after confirmation / partial confimation / addition of new activities. Is this method keeps the forecast dates unchanged forever and gives information on iniital schedule?
During intermittent rescheduling, will the forecast dates get affected as like basic dates (due to my scenario bottom-up)?

Not getting 'actual data' in the planning query
Hi all,
I am debug other's query. This cube stores 'actual' and 'plan' data and I loaded 'actual' and can see it in the cube. But I cannot see 'actual data' when I run the planning query.
I checked all restrictions in the KFs and CHARs and fliters in the query. There are only 'value type 10', 'fiscal year variant Z1', and 'currency CAD' restricted and actual data does contain those values in all line items.
Can someone point it out what it could be the issue? Thank you.

if you enter some data (plan data) you cannot see it again. Is that correct?
are you using the same query to enter and to see plan data?
Because if you are entering data in an aggregate level and you are executing your query over the infocube you will not see the data from the yellow request. If you execute query over the aggregate you should be able to see all data in the cube (yellow and green requests).
Also check if your query is defined as per note 1136163.

Waiting for the previously running task to complete issue
I am running the full extract process , and one task SDE_ORA_InventoryProductDimension running for 18 hours and its status is "Waiting for the previously running task to complete"
but all running tasked are completed and left tasks are queued by this task, so what make this issue happen?
I restart the informatica server and the task running now!
but for this task I run before it has ten million records , and it always make the dataware house server's cache full and server down,
so how to handle this problem?

Forecast and actual view in PPB
Hi experts
Despite selection of forecast and actual dates in Set of Dates/View in PPB, i am unable to see the horizantal bars for forecast and acutal dates for activities. (Able to see only basic and start/finnish of activities can be seen)
My intention is to see the plan and forecast dates at one place for evaluation purpose.
Is there anything missing from myside? Please advise.
