TCA API create_location creates locations irrespective of the address style

Hi All,
We are using Trading Community Architecture API for customer conversion. We have address styles setup for Canada and US and we have attached these address styles to the respective countries in the territories window.
But when we use create_location API for creating location and then a party site for it, it allows us to create the locations even when we dont pass in a value for the REQUIRED fields setup at the address style. We expected it to error out.
Does anyone have idea about how this works. We want the API to validate the addresses we enter for locations with the address styles we set up.

You can create a wrapper package on top of the API (hr_location_api.create_location)
In the wrapper package you set all the values dynamically based on your requirements(say the style and add_line columns are populated on your conditions) and then you call the API.
Does that not work ?

Does anyone knows a way to create a directory in the application server? Something similar to
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES but for managing files in the application server?

Creating a playlist on the ZEN Style M100/300 using WinAmp

On WinAMP's left panel, right-click on "Playlists". Select "New Playlist...", then enter your playlist name.
2) Select the songs you wish to add to the playlist, drag & drop them into the playlist name you've just created.
3) Right-click on the playlist title example "John's Birthday Demo",select "Send to" ---> "USB Dri've H:" (assuming H: is your device dri've leter assigned to the player). The playlist and the songs listed in your playlist will be transfered into the ZEN Style M series player?
4) Safely disconnect your player from the Windows system ,then disconnect your player from the USB cable. The player hourglass icon will appear and spin for a while, this is to generate and update the player's memory since new contents are added. Once the process has completed, scroll to "Music" --> "Playlist" then select your newly added playlist title to play.
Note: Please make sure that you have already loaded the songs into the MUSIC folder of the ZEN Style M series player before creating the playlist.

Is it possible to create a list using the addresses in the "TO" list from a received email?

I have a very large group I'd like to create an email list for. I don't want to have to search in my address book for every address that needs to go into it. Is there away that I can use an email that I've received which has been sent to every member I want in the list - all are listed in the "To" portion of the header - and create a list from those addresses? Thanks.

I know how to do that. I don't want to have to take the time to search through the gazillion addresses in my address book to find each one and then drag or type them into the list. My question was is there away to have all the addresses in the "To" field used to create a list by - for instance - somehow selecting all of these addresses and saying create a list from them. Or clicking on an option that would give me the ability to create a list from all the addresses in the "To" field of a specific email. Thanks.

In window.open i am trying to hide the location info in the address bar. However each time i see the URL of target page which gets open in the new window in the location bar.

I cannot seem to add the search bar which should be located next to the address bar. it was removed when I updated one of the last times.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Why is it that every time I restart Firefox it deletes my quick links that are located right under the address bar?

This is a recent problem and it has happened 4 consecutive times now. Every time I restart Firefox it has removed my quick links to the websites I visit most often. I didn't have a problem like this for over a year, and then it seemed to start right after some recent Firefox updates.

AR Customer Interface (RACUST) v.s. TCA APIs

Our users are asking us to import columns that do not exist in the RA_CUSTOMERS_INTERFACE_ALL table. From reviewing mettalink documentation it looks like we have more options with the TCA APIs. Do the TCA APIs (12.1.3) cover everything (including bank account information) that is handled by RACUST? If yes, do you recommend exclusively using TCA APIs or is a hybrid of the two processes better. If anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate your comments.

Error 'Invalid address style' when create new address Legal Entity R12

Hi,
Did somebody had the same problem like i do.
I am trying to create a new dutch address for a new legal entity in Oracle R12.1.1 Vision, but however hard i trying to do so i always received the error message 'Invalid Address Style' and i filled in all the required field.
When i tested with the country 'US' or 'Australia' is could create a new address without any problem.
I hope you can help me to solve my problem.

You were right, I checked the dff for the address style and activated the once for the countries I needed and now I can create new address for the required countries by using the legal entity configurator.

SSHR do not delivers the Address line

I have addres structure defined in DFF (Personal Address Informatio). The Segments are already created. In core application i have the full control about the address style, and showing me the right structure. But looging in SSHR to enter the new address, it delivers the Address Line 1 not, and if i jump to the next page telling me that the required address line 1 has not value.
The style looks like: SK_GLB| Address Line 1| Address Line 2| Address Line 3|Postal Code|City||
I dont know why this line does not displayed.
Any suggestion????.

Is that the personalization you've defined against the address DFF?
You say "it delivers the Address Line 1 not" - does that mean Address Line 1 does show or does it mean that Address Line 1 does not show?

Address Style in TCA

I would like to change the address style in the fromatted address. I do see that the formatting is done in the package hz_format_pub. Where in the application can I go and change the order of the various styles. The current data is stored in the table, hz_style_fmt_layouts_b, and I would like to change it.

Using Azure Python API to create VM without exception, but the VM is not launched....

This is the scenarios:
I have created a custom Linux VM image and I have successfully launch a VM using the Python API on region US-WESt.
My goal is to create a custom Linux VM on a VNET.
This is what I have done:
1. Knowing that using Python API to create Virtual Network (VNET) is not supported yet, I manually created a VNET using Console.
2. Using Python API to create hosted service (cloud service) on the same location as the VNET I created.
3. Using Python API to launch the VM on the VNET.
4. without any exception nor error, the VM is just not created...

I am trying to create JMSQueues programmatically using the MBean API. When
I use MBeanHome.createAdminMBean(), a queue appears in the root of the
config file. This is progress, but the queue is in the wrong place! I need
the queues to be part of my JMS server's "destinations" as seen on the
console.
So now I am trying to use createConfigurationMBean() instead, but I can't
figure out what the "parent" parameter should be- no documentation! My
first guess was that the parent might be the JMSServer, but that doesn't
work.
Anyone have example code to insert JMSQueues and JMSTopics into a specific
JMS server's destinations?
