Team Calendar for non-manager in Leave Request

Hi ,
It seems like only Manager can see the Team Calendar in Leave Request or others ? Can a non Manager also see the Team Calendar , so he can see who is in the office and who is out .
Any help will be appreciated .

In the SAP standard, the evaluation path SAP_MANG is used to determine
the root objects. This evaluation path determines root objects whose
manager holds a chief position (please take a look at the F1
documentation of the field "Eval.Path for Root Objects" on the detail
screen in the view V_TWPC_V "View Definition" for further information on
this topic).
In your case, however, chief positions are not used and thus you'll
need to use a different evaluation path to determine the root objects
(e.g. WF_ORGUN) in the above-mentioned view.
Since you are seeing in leave request application.
You can use the report RHSTRU00
1. The DC pcui_gp/tecl had to be deployed to J2EE engine.
2. Note 704604 has to be implemented.
3. The Org.Unit conif has to be correct for the employee
4. View group has to be maintained in V_TWPC_VG.
5. Leave req. application has to work

Also make sure that customer Entries V_TWPC_VG_C are not
defaulting other values too.

    A team calendar is tied to the mailbox owner's manager's direct team only. It will be automatically showed in users' calendar. If you want to view a team calendar of another manager, a workaround is create a calendar group and share calendar.

  • Team Calendar: Can a manager view member's leave request info?

    Hi guys,
    I have a requirement where in the manager can view other leave information from the team calendar. I tried caling PT_ARQ_REQUEST_PREPARE, PT_ARQ_REQLIST_GET or using PTREQ tables but it has limited information. From the standard function modules it would only retrieve the data if u select your own record. Inside the standard function module there's a subroutine REMOVE_PRIVATE_INFORMATION if the owner's pernr and requestor's pernr are not the same.
    Is there a way to get other mem information for the managerial position?

    Hi Ella,
    I think the MSS General Information Related Activities could work the trick for you.
    All the related activities in General Info come from the homepage framework with a URL parameter that helps the manager to see those details for a selected employee.
    So what I would suggest is to create a resource with the URL param as INITIATOR_ROLE=HRASRB and a service pointing to your leave information iView that is used by the employees for your apllication and i think it might solve your problem.
    As an eg for more details check V_T7XSSSERRES through SM30 for MSS_HCM_SERV_RELACTIVITY_ESS_CAT.

  • Disabling Windows Explorer For Non Admins and Leaving it Enabled For Admins.

    Good evening,
    I am running a Citrix XenApp environment and I need to disable explorer.exe from running for non admin users. My team and I have discovered that exporer.exe can be accessed by any app that is being used by the end user and therefore can grant that user access
    to the XenApp server interface--this is a BIG NO NO!
    The users do not have admin rights when in explorer.exe but they can shutdown the server. I can disable a few areas such as the taskmgr, regedit, cmd, windows+x, and I can prevent the user from shutting down the system by only allowing them to log off,
    and prevent them from making changes to desktop icons, but it would be much preferred to stick it to the users and not allow them to access the XenApp server interface at all,
    I have tested changing the shell for explorer.exe from explorer.exe to iexplorer.exe and this worked fine (it only displayed the desktop wallpaper for the logged on user), but the change was not reversible. Luckily, I took a snapshot of my virtual test system
    before hand. 
    Is there a way to prevent Windows Explorer from running for all non admins and also so that the local administrator account is not affected by the change as well? I have also tried preventing explorer.exe from running via GPO but that didn't work.

  • No Quota for employee in EP- Leave Request error

    I am facing an issue with one employee.
    This employee is having a lot of quotas for all the absence types in R/3. However in EP when he goes to 'Quota Overview', it shows that the table is empty, and the dropdown list also does not contain any leave.
    When he clicks on 'Leave Request' there comes an error

    When Quotas table is empty then customisation is missing for his ESG AND PSG in v_t556a_web
    check his groupings from It2006 overview and maintain those in above for his rule group

    Please can you check if the Pernr used
    has correct information like It0105 etc, also the rules are
    correctly defined.
    For the Employee, First of all check the Period Work Schedule also
    the Quotas of the pernr needs to maintained in 2006, Please do
    this customisation and it should solve the issue.
    Maintain the absence quota in the IT2006 and then try once.
    Also make sure that the Settings in Webmo and PTARQ etc all is done
    The pernr belongs to the a Rule and have absences defined for him.

  • Team viewer for non managers

    Hi Experts,
    I have been trying to use the team viewer for a person who is a member of an org. unit. Not a chief.
    All the chief of org. unit are seeing their employees without any problem.
    Is it possible to allow the functionality to non chiefs also.

    Not saying I can analyze your log but have a suggestion that might be of help. I use Teamviewer a lot. It has not crashed on me yet on SL.
    The one time I had a problem of it not connecting at all was solved by trashing the plist file. You can find it here user/Library/preferences/com.teamviewer.settings.plist
    Drag it out of the folder and onto your desktop, log out, log back in. Start Teamviewer and see if it helps. If not, you can always drag it back and replace the new plist file that was created.

  • Publishing iCal calendars for non iCal users?

    Firstly I guess I should set out the ideal solution I want to acheive.
    I am looking for a way to publish calendars from iCal to my hosting server which will be viewable by PC/non iCal users via a web browser. I'd have to do it via ftp as my servers do not currently support WebDav.
    Currently I have managed to publish the calendars which are viewable via a browser which appear as a list of code rather than as a calendar.
    Is there a way to do this using iCal or, dare I mention, another calendar/organiser software package?

      Suppose if multiple persons raise workflows like Leave, Travel, Claims, Loan every workflow is different. You cannot have single workflow and single work item. The work item comes to UWL for the approver. In the UWL you can customize the screen put a radio button in the screen such that only approve and reject button. So every wprk item can be just selected with approve and reject radio button on the UWL itself. Finaly update button will update the entier page with the approvals. But this is very very very difficult.
      Think logically Y the approver wants to do mass approval. Suppose the approver receives the leave work item without seeing the leave quota will he approve?. Similiarly for travel without seeing the expense amount will the approver approve the trip.
    UWL is for all the module like Travel, Leave, Claims, Loan etc. Every module the approval screen itslef different. So mass approval is not possible.
    If ESS is implemented only for Leave or Travel or Payroll then its possible. In that case customize the UWL with radio button and after mass approve or rejection finally need to update. But this is absolutly not advisable since every person the data are different.  So mass approval is not advisable.
    I think am logically correct?

    I have a requirement in which i need to to disable the tool tip coming on the leave data in the leave request application in show calendar.In the leave request application under show team calendar ,when the cursor is placed on the leave applied data , it shows the the type of the leave the employee has applied. I have to disable that. I could not able to find the component related to the team calendar under the leave request ,
    I have gone through the ess component ess~lea and VACs (VcAccList, VcBlockCale, VcFormAckn, VcFormConf, VcFormEdit, VcReqList, VcTeamView and lastly VcWorkList.) but didnt find the componet that is displaying the team calendar .
    Any one has an idea about which iview(VAC) is showing the Team calendar ui element in the leave request or team calendar application .

    the Team Calendar is not part of the esslea DC but part of PCUI_GP (pcui_gptecl). Its a generic component.
    Anyway, to disable the tooltip you do not have to modify anything. You just need to implement BAdI PT_ABS_REQ. Here in Method TEAM_CALE_ENRICHMENT add these lines of code and you should be fine.

  • EHP5 Leave Request Team Calendar

    We are in a process upgrading our old Java/Web Dynpro Leave Request application to ABAP Web Dynpro based.
    In old application supervisors were able to view Team Calendar for both Directly Subordinate Employees as well as ALL Employees. However, new application there is no option to show ALL Employees.What could be the reason? Will appreciate any input on this.

    Team Calendar and attendance Overview -
    there are higher level managers who in very rare case also want to check
    the attendance and team calendar of all employees. So for this case we
    provided a drop down where the manager could choose all employees. But
    again we do not expect this to be a very common use case. In case this
    is a common Use Case we expect customers to ensure that 'All employees'
    appears first in the drop down.

  • Problem with Team Calendar from Create Leave Request

    Hi Expert,
    We are facing following 2 issues with Team Calendar-
    1)     When manager checks Team Calendar from create leave request he gets a warning message 'No team set up for the user in the selection                period.Contact Administrator'
    I know this issue has been reported earlier as well but i didn't find the thread where it has been answered correctly.
    - OADP configuration is correct.
    - Manager is head of org unit.
    - Also IT105 exist for manager as well as employees.
    We are currently checking on authorization side for this.
    2)   Team Calendar is showing leave details only for the current month. If we navigate to previous month it does not show anything even though there exist leave data for the given month. 
    Please suggest if we are missing something.

    I dont remember the exact auth object but ask security team to apply trace for the user id and identify the same.
    Also i would suggest you to check following setting before checking authorizations-
    Get the Group of Organizational Views applicable for rule group in your case  from following path
    SAP Customizing Implementation Guide--> Personnel Management-->Manager Self-Service (Web Dynpro ABAP)--> Service Specific Settings-->Working Time--> Team Calendar--> Select Employees:
    After getting Group of Org View Check the Evaluation path used in OADP configuration.
    Please check if the evaluation path is correct as per your requirement.

  • Critical error when accessing the team calendar

    Hi Experts,
        Here I am giving the scenario details below.
    1) Employee worked under manager A till 1st of July 2009. 
    2) During that time employee applied for sick leave from 21st July 2009 to 24th July 2009.
    3) On 2nd of July 2009 the employee got transferred to some other orgunit lead by some manager say B.
    4) Manager A approved his sick leave after 2nd of July 2009.
    5) When manager A was trying to access his team calendar for the month of July 2009, he is getting the critical error saying that NO Read Authorization for the infotype 2001 and subtype 0111 for that particular employee.
    6) Manager B was able to access the team calendar for the month July 2009.
    So now the employee is moved to new orgunit. So old manager is getting the authorization error for infotype 2001.
    I spoke to security folks about this. They told me to find out user exit or BADI to bypass the structural authorization.
    Pls let me know how to avoid this issue.

    The employee can request deletion of this approved leave, and apply the leave again with his current manager as approver.

    Application name is TeamView and Application namespace used is sap.com/ess~lea.
    How can i find the coressponding DC on devloper studio?

    Standard SAP is providing team this under ESS> Working Time> leave request in EP 6.0 / ECC 6.0 version. Config in ECC will populate the view.
