Teaming 2.1 Tasks Due problem

The "Tasks due" tab in our workspaces shows completed tasks. If the "Within 2 Weeks" radio button is active, it shows the completed tasks even id they are older than 2 weeks. For example, this shows up in today's Tasks due tab in my workspace with the "Within 2 Weeks" or the "Anytime" buttons active:

Priority: Medium
Status: Completed
Due Date: Jan 1, 2010
Personal Projects // Toney Cassel
Is there a setting that I can change this behavior?

There is currently no way to change this. There is an enhancement
request against Teaming (Bugzilla bug 554254
[https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=554254]) requesting the
functionality that you're asking for.

    How can I stop this action before the end of the 'due date' without deleting

    Customizing the Task List
    You can customize the column headers or search for required tasks by clicking on Customize Table Header. The option allows you to specify the columns to be showed in the list table, to provide the sorting order, and to set the page size. The sorting order could be complex with option to provide multiple columns for sorting and the order (ascending/descending) for each of them.
    To create a custom query and search for tasks:
    1.In the Task List page, click Customize Table Header.
    In the Construct a Custom Query form, specify the search criteria by specifying any of the following values.
    2.Enter the task name. You can use the * character at the start or the end of the name.
    3.Enter the task ID. Separate multiple values using comma.
    4.Select the check box against the Administration and Working state of the task.
    5.Enter any comment. You can use regular expression.
    6.Enter the priority range.
    7.Enter the Assignee, Owner, or Claimant names.
    8.Specify the completion due date range.
    9.If required, select the Include tasks with no completion due date check box.
    10.Click Apply.
    All tasks that match the specified criteria are displayed in the Task List page.
    To customize the table header:
    1.In the Task List page, click Customize Table Header. The Construct a Custom Query form appears.
    2.In the View form, select the columns that you want to view in the Task List page.
    3.Select the Preserve Search Criteria check box to retain these details for the current session.
    4.Select the maximum number of search results that should be displayed on the page.
    5.Select the number of rows that should be displayed in the page.
    6.Click Apply.
    The view in the Task List page is updated based on the current settings.
    Using this option you can set the completion due date

    Mi confesso subito, sono un vecchio contadino inesperto.
    Ho pagato l'abbonamento per ADOBE CREATE PDF ma ho due problemi:
    Quando creo un documento di una pagina tutto ok, ma quando poi lo apro non è più di una pagina infatti si porta dietro ( per la verità avanti ) una seconda pagina di un vecchio documento, sempre lo stesso,  dell'anno 2008.
    Questo sempre su tutti i documenti creati , hanno una prima pagina eguale e non voluta e non richiesta, poi la seconda è il documento creato e voluto.
    Secondo aprendo un allegato PDF ad una e-mail tutto ok.
    Quando poi la stampo per conservarta o metterla in contabilità l'intestazione e qualche altra riga viene stampata come si vede a video, ma il contenuto è stampato in caratteri che non saprei come definire, non greci, nè russi, nè sumeri o arabi.
    Come posso annullare questo problema?
    Grazie se mi potete aiutare, tenere presente che non èarlo inglese, ma francese e tedesco , logicamnete italia.

  • Strange one day adding to tasks due date (Outlook –SharePoint- MS Project integration)

    I have integrated MS Project 2010 with MS Outlook 2010 via SharePoint. Everything has gone more or less smoothly (as it could be for Microsoft
    J), but finally I got into a strange problem. Strangely enough,
    MS Outlook, while syncing tasks with SharePoint (these tasks are pre-created in MS Project and synced with SharePoint beforehand),
    adds one day to due dates of each of these tasks, e.g. for “Task 1” due date in MS Project and on SharePoint is 20.10.2010, but MS Outlook puts it as 21.10.2010, for “Task 2” due date in MS Project and on SharePoint is 22.10.2010, but MS Outlook
    puts it as 23.10.2010, etc.
    What is a strange trick? I have checked work time, holidays - everything is the same in MS Outlook, SharePoint and MS Project (8-17, Mon-Fri, 8 hours, 40 days a week). What could it be?

    It seems nobody can reply, so I will reply by myself because I found out the answer. The answer from Microsoft is pretty simple - ha-ha we know about,
    we will work on it, wait, ha-ha. Firstly let me quote Microsoft senior tech answer on the same request 3 month ago:
    "Hello Artur,
    The senior tech got back to me with the following conclusion:
    Outlook is rounding everything set to 12:00 PM or after to the next date because the columns mapped to start date and due dates are only Date columns,
    not date/time columns.
    It is rounding at noon because of the .5 decimal. This can be seen in Excel - 41115.5 = 7/25/2012 12:00 in date/time format whereas 41115.49 = 7/25/2012
    11:45.
    The issue seems to be an expected behavior, the next level of support is working on the same but currently I have not been provided with any ETA, so
    it looks like the issue will take a good amount of time to get fixed.
    I would appreciate your patience while we are working on the issue. I will keep you posted as and when I get an update on the issue."
    Sounds good, does not it? Ok. After asking this question recently I got run-around and finally I found the same question unsolved (see the quotation
    before) more than 3 month ago. I have sent it to Microsoft Tech Support. Look at reply I got from them on 22.10.2012:
    "This issue has been noticed and will be handled by the product team. Once we have any updates, it will be responded to you timely". 
    So the basic function does not work properly, there month passed - no way! Wait until what? I could hardly
    even imagine how Microsoft launched the product with such a bug and is not resolving the problem for months.

  • Incorrect task due dates after synchroniz​ation

    My device: Curve 8900. TMobile. Blackberry desktop manager software v5.0.1. Windows VISTA. Outlook 2003, SP3.
    Sorry, not sure of the exact mechanics of what happens, but I know that after synchronizing my Curve with Outlook, or perhaps it takes multiple synchs, some tasks end up with bizarre due or start dates in Outlook, but typically not in the device. Normally, I don't enter a start date, only a due date and/or a reminder, as appropriate for that task. Sometimes I leave none for all the dates. One task I initially created over a year ago, but leave active as a reminder, now has 9/1/2155 for the due and start dates, even though I could have sworn I recently set those dates to none in Outlook, and subsequently synched outlook w/ the device.
    Another task has a due date of 10/11/1969 in Outlook, and none in the device.
    Has anyone else experienced this or similar problems?  If so, I would appreciate hearing about any possible solutions.

    i have the same issue- weird random dates.  I don't see any replies to this post.  Have you had any luck figuring out what's going on?
    I'm on Windows XP, Outlook 2003, Desktop manager v4.5 (looks like I need to update that!)

    For the limited number of modification of the due date, I would use an event receiver on "itemupdating"  with this kind of logic
    If (Properties.ListItem[«Due Date»] != Properties.AfterProperties[«Due Date»]) //modification of the date
    check the number of modification, if less than 3 , increment the number and continue, if 3 set
    Properties.AfterProperties[«Due Date»]) =Properties.ListItem[«Due Date»]

  • Insert team calender to tasks view in UWL

    I am trying to configure the UWL:
    The Task iView for an MSS user should have a link to the team calender (like in the MSS team overview).
    Like ->show team calender
    Any idea on how to do that?
    I tried the iView properties but haven't found any clue.
    Maybe the problem lies more in the workitem?

    I would probably configure a new custom action (=new button") for the work item that would be displayed in the work item details (similarly than you have for example the "Launch web dynpro" or "Open task" buttons (or whatever you have visible there). This action would launch the team calendar application.
    This requires a bit of UWL XML configuration (for your workflow task(s)). I am not sure if you are familiar with it. If you are, then the above explanation should give you the starting point.

    PROBLEM
    Problem is ...
    1. Customer purchase(A/R invoice) an item with the cost 2080..rs with qty. 1
    2.we received the partial payment against this invoice for Rs 2000.(balance due 80 Rs)
    3. Then i release that ... the payment need to be for Rs 2000.
    4.Now the problem arise ..if i make credit memo for Rs 80 then my inventory increase ...
    and if i pass the general entry then the invoice will always be open ...... and if i closed it manually then it shows with the balance due with 80 Rs ..which effect on aging report ..
    Wht should i need to do for that ... and how can we manage this scenario ..

    Another alternative...
    You can create a SERVICE type AR credit memo and for the GL account put in the Sales Revenue Account...this might not a doubtful debt - it is an actual reduction in sales revenue...
    Most customers would not like to see a JE in their postings and this way makes it easier for auditors to follow....
    You can then do the reconciliatioin so it is INVOICE on CREDIT MEMO, not JE on Invoice - much nicer to see...

  • Task Server Problem and Load Balancing

    I am trying to use ARD to adminstrate the 100 or so macs in my college.
    I have a few issues.
    I am running ARD as a task server on a mac mini setup as a server. To use ARD I remote onto the mac mini and use ARD from there.
    If I try and send an install package using the task server on the mac mini, the task will just hang, saying that the targetted computers are idle. If I use the ARD tool on our departments MBP and run it from the task sequence on the mac mini, it will work, but it's a stupid way of doing it as ARD pulls the install files down over the network to the MBP to send them back to the mac mini. Also ARD has started crashing everytime I attempt this now anyway.
    The reason I have been trying to run this from the task server rather than just from the ARD application is  because of the second problem. If I send a package or group of packages to a single mac, it will send it at full speed, pretty much saturating the speed of the connection the mac is connected to, in this case about 8MB/S. If I select multiple macs the speed tanks, usually less than 1MB/S, this means sending a 4GB package to 20 macs takes 3 days, obviously not ideal.
    Anyone else experienced similar problems and found a way around them?

    I think you might have misunderstood my post slightly, I have a mac mini set up as the task server.
    If I run ARD from my MBP and tell it to run tasks from the task server, the tasks will run.
    If I go onto the mac mini and tell ARD to run tasks from the local task server, they just hang.
    All clients are added to ARD and fully authenticated.
    The server isn't limited by 8MB/s it's the network. The macs are all networked into each other with 1Gb/s switches, but that is then linked back into the comms cab on a 100Mb/s port, which then goes back to the main server cabinet on a 1Gb/s link.
    The package is the general software for the macs in this room, and in total all the software is about 8gb, it includes CS6, office, iLife and a few other bits n bobs, but it doesnt matter how big the package is it always fails.
    If I try and send it using the ARD application on the mac mini, it will work, but sends really slow when i select all 20 macs at once, if i send it to just one mac at once then it sends at full speed, sounds to me like ARD is not very good at multicasting!
    I managed to do a work around by queing up the package and sending it to 1 mac at a time, but this seems stupid, and apart from that after it did a few of them the rest failed saying not authenticated, so I had to go back onto the list view for it to reauthenticate.
    All in all ARD is just being a pain, and is not doing what it's advertised to do, i'm finding this to be a dissapointing patter with apple server products.

    Hello Ranjith,
    This is usually because the tp transport buffer lock file remains locked by the
    operating system (OS).
    You should be able to move or delete this file from the DIR_TRANS/tmp dir.
    After that the tp should run fine after.
