Telephone terminal

the out call is write to exteranl file i want to read this data and insert it to table in data base
can i find the help

Depending on the size and location of the file:
- use file as EXTERNAL TABLE or load it with SQL*Loader (file on DB-server)
- use TEXT_IO (file on AppServer)
- use WEBUTIL.CLIENT_TEXT_IO (file on client)
Use the last option only if it's a small file, because it's a slow option....

  • Phone To Phone Application

    Hi All,
I am developing an application in Java to enable the user to connect from its PC bye using telephone terminal without modem to connect remote phone terminal
    [application] ---> [local phone] ---> [phone 2]
The question is how to get the fysical hardware of the phone to read a phone number file by clicking a button from the Java application to dial the readed phonenumber?
    Thanks in advance,
    Carina

Yes indeed Noah. It's easy to read a text file from Java application but to pass the readed phonenumber to the hardware is rather creepy. Do you have any idea how to get better solution for such problem? I found nothing on the net about it.

  • Accessing Telephone Exchange Switch Terminal

Does anyone know how to connect to a telephone exchange switch terminal using command line.
Information I have about the switch is
    1. Its an Ericsson AXE 10
    2. IP Address and the port no
After doing some research online I found out that VT 100 or VT 102 terminal are the 2 kind of terminals which may be hardwired to the Ericsson switch.
Hp-Unix box will be used to issue commands.
    I tried 'telnet [ipaddress] [port]'
The response "Trying...." and just sat over there.
Once I get the communication channel going we have to automate the whole process of connecting to the switch and issue switch commands like ''ANESP:ES=ALL; and get the output in a file.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Manny

If you can find a laptop with a serial port (probably a cheap and/or used one would) then you could attach that instead and use terminal software of some kind. But then, I'm surprised that they mentioned VT10* terminals, since most terminals had serial ports. My ancient adm3a, encased in bubble wrap, has a serial port. Did the info you find say that ONLY vt10* can be used, or did it just mention that a vt100 may be used.
Hp-Unix box will be used to issue commands. Uh, OK. I presume you mean that you just happen to be using that kind of box; I don't see how it's relevant otherwise. (Though... are you sure that this box doesn't happen to have a serial port?)
    I tried 'telnet [ipaddress] [port]'
The response "Trying...." and just sat over there. What, the switch hasn't been set up to respond to net connections?
Once I get the communication channel going we have to automate the whole process of connecting to the switch and issue switch commands like ''ANESP:ES=ALL;” and get the output in a file.
Any help would be appreciated. Without any knowledge of that device, I'm assuming that your problem is: you have a device that can be accessed either via a net connection, or via a plain terminal over the serial port. But the device hasn't been set up for net connections yet. So you're trying to figure out how to connect to it over the serial port so you can set it up.
    Is that correct?
If so, I'd suggest getting a serial cable and terminal software for a PC or possibly that HP box, rather than trying to find a VT100 terminal, which may be difficult at this point.
This is all just wild guessing. Maybe someone who knows about the device would have a more informed answer.
PS: What does this have to do with Java?

  • Updated to Mavericks. Now theres tons of activity in my terminal and my activity monitor doesn't seem normal. I want to think someone's hacking me, but i need experienced help please!

I spent all night trying to fix this. It seems to me that someone has been trying to hack into my system with all of the random codes/lines in my terminal and i have all of his foreign IP addresses. And now i get this strange message that popped up in my terminal. Idk what it entirely means? I would very appreciate if someone could just walk me through this. Thank you very much.
First time poster. I have Macbook Pro. OSX. Just downloaded the new mavericks. I'm i have my firewall on. I stay secure. I run Netbarrier, Virusbarrier, IdentityScrubber.
I know something is a little odd or just doesn't make since about my activity monitor. Then my WiFi was hacked last night and this person was writing tons lines of commands/codes that i found in my terminal and my activity monitor doesn't look normal,  and I've only been a mac owner for about a year now and i'm learning more and more but while trying to figure out what was going on this message popped up which concerned me the most. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks guys. I have my terminal full of his foreign ip addresses i noticed, and a lot of other commands and lines he wrote out that i definitely did not type myself. Can anyone give me a hand on this? Thanks

haha, so now i'm thinking. I'm learning the terminal as fast as i can but there are several lines of codes and commands in there that throws up red flags to me that i don't fully understand. It just looks fishy too me. It would be highly appreciated if someone could just check this out just to tell me that i don't need to worry about it. Or point me in the right direction. I just feel un easy about this. ha.

  • Express Document  "Update was terminated" in FM: BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE

    Hi all,
As per our requirement we needed to add different types of phone nos to an Business Partners Address.  We are using the Function Module BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE to insert the Telephone nos by passing values to the internal table for ADR2 table in the FM. The function module updates the phone nos successfully twice.  The Function module fails the third and subsequent times within the same session.  The code used for the same is as below:
      CALL FUNCTION 'BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE'
       EXPORTING
         iv_partner          = l_bpnumber          "BP no.
         iv_addrnumber   = l_addrnumber       "BPs address no
         iv_addrguid        = l_addrguid           " Address guid
         is_address        = t_addrdetails        "Address details
      TABLES
it_adtel             = t_teldetails           "Telehphone nos to be inserted with the sequence nos from 001(Home telephone no), 002(Work Phone No.) & 003(Mobile no)
it_adfax            = t_faxdetails          "One Fax No and its extension with the sequence no set to 001
it_adsmtp         = t_emaildetails       "Email Details with sequence no set to 001
it_comrem        = t_telremarks         "Adding a remark to a particular phone no as WORK PHONE No.
it_adtel_x         = t_teldetailsx         "Setting the updateflag to I for insertion of telephone nos.
it_adfax_x        = t_faxdetailsx        "Setting the updateflag to I for insertion of fax nos.
it_adsmt_x       = t_emaildetailsx    "Setting the updateflag to I for insertion of email.
it_comre_x       = t_telremarksx      "Setting the updateflag to I for insertion of remarks nos.
et_return          = t_returntab.          "Returns tab for error message
The FM Inserts the Telephone nos successfully twice but fails the third time within the same cic0 session, with the error message as below:
"Express Document "Update was terminated" received from author Kumaran Vurunathan".
Displaying the Document we get the following detail:
    Update was terminated
    System ID....   DD0
    Client.......   040
    Transaction..   CIC0
    Update key...   42A303E8F2B23E97E1000000947F220A
    Generated....   13.06.2005, 04:43:28
    Completed....   13.06.2005, 04:43:28
    Error info...   CD 328: DUPREC:POS&BUPA_ADR&0000105277
Again, if everytime new Business Partner is used to add telephone nos within the same cic0 session, the program works fine.
The problem occurs only on the same BP being used for the third time within the same session.  We are thinking that this might be a Locking problem and thats why the Update is getting terminated.
If anyone had encountered the same issue while using this FM, please advise the reason for the same and how this could be rectified.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Babu Changalvala,
    AOL: babuchangalva.

    Hi,
To be clear, my understanding is that you are updating the same partner multiple times with this function.
Try 'commit work' after each call of the FM, if that is not an issue for your current logic.
Another option you can try is calling it with destination option. This is just a guess. Try it like 'Call .... destination NONE importing.....'
    cheers,

  • Installing additinal cals in existing 2008 R2 terminal server.

    <style type="text/css">P { margin-bottom: 0.08in; }</style>
    Hi ,
we are using windows server 2008 R2 terminal licensing server which is having 10 user CALs
now we planned to purchase some more CALS for example additional 20 CALS per user
Note : This is the first time we are adding the CALs in existing cals server.
    Kindly clarify my query below:
    1. what is the procedure to add the CALS with existing CALs.?
    2. while installing the new license do we need to deactivate the terminal server ?what will be the impact ?
    3. whether we need to define the users per CALs ?
    Regards,
    Baki.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Based on your description, it seems that you already have RDS License server & RDS per User CAL installed on server 2008 R2. And now you want to add other RDS User CAL. For this you can follow the same procedure when you add the CAL. Also suggest you to
contact MS Clearing house and explain him the whole scenario that you want to add the CAL to your existing environment and they will help you to achieve your goal.
Locate the Microsoft Clearinghouse Telephone Number for Your Country or Region
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754874.aspx
    More information.
Install and issue RDS CALs or TS CALs

    Hope it helps!

  • Installing FCP using terminal

friends: i want to try and install final cut pro HD 4.5 on my macbook air 11 inch running 10.7.2 (if possible). this same program is running great on my other macbook air 11 inch using a slightly earlier OS X (Lion?). 10.7.2 as you know does not support 10.7.2, but i have heard that sometimes it is just the installer that needs the powerpc so i am trying to install it via terminal. the problem is, i do not know how to configure my string properly. when i drop the .app into the terminal window i get this location:
    /Users/mycomputername/Desktop/Final\ Cut\ Pro\ HD.app
and i was using variations of this:
    sudo installer -package /Users/mycomputername/Desktop/Final\ Cut\ Pro\ HD.app -target /
try not to laugh, i am not a coder, just trying to get my computer to run this program that i love. the new FCP is too expensive and i don't even like it. if you can assist me in creating the proper string i would be grateful. i know that someone was able to install final cut studio using this method.
thanks so much for your help!

I do not use Final Cut Pro, but I play one on Television!
Here is a quote from Wikipedia:
In April 2004, version 4.5 of Final Cut Pro was introduced and branded by Apple as "Final Cut Pro HD" due to its native support for Panasonic's tape-based DVCPRO HDformat for compressed 720p and 1080i HD over FireWire. (The software had been capable of uncompressed HD editing since version 3.0, but at the time had required expensive video cards and high speed storage.)
Any program written in 2004 would have been a PowerPC application.  After Apple migrated all of its future Macs to the Intel platform in 2006, it included in OS X Tiger (and later Leopard, and optionally in Snow Leopard) emulation software that would allow most PowerPC apps to continue to run in Intel.  This sofware was based upon technology that Apple licensed from a 3rd party and which Apple called Rosetta.
Apple's license to include Rosetta in newer versions of OS X expired with Lion and now Mt. Lion.
Hence no matter how well you use Terminal, or even Pacifist to install FCP 4.5, it just will NEVER run under Lion on your Mac.
If your MacBook Air 11" is old enough (2010, MacBookAir3,1) to boot and run Snow Leopard, you can either partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it.  You can then "dual-boot" into Snow Leopard when you want to run FCP 4.5 or into Lion when you need iCloud or otherwise.
Alternatively you can install Snow Leopard Server into Parallels 8 on any 11" MacBook Air and have FCP 4.5 running concurrently with Lion, such as here where the PowerPC app Appleworks is running on a Lion Mac:
Apple is now selling Snow Leopard Server for $19.99 + sales tax & shipping costs at 1.800.MYAPPLE (1.800.692.7753) - Apple Part Number: MC588Z/A (telephone orders only).
Parallels offers a 14 day free trial download from its website.  It sells retail for $79 but can be found for a discount on the internet.
NOTE: You are confusing your version with Final Cut Express 3.5 and Final Cut Studio 2, both of which will run in Lion, but whose installers have problems in Lion and Mt. Lion due to a "bug" in the installer program.  For those versions, as pointed out in Jeremy Johnstone's blog, using Terminal (or alternatively, using Pacifist) to install will achieve success in using those versions in Lion.

  • Move Terminal server licenses to another server

We have one terminal server VM hosted in hyper v server. currently there is a problem with the hyper v server hdd and we might need to rebuild the whole server. We would like to setup a new terminal server on a new server. The existing terminal server is
windows server 2003. After I fresh setup the Windows server 2003 VM in a new server, how do I move the terminal server license to a new server? FYI, we would like to decommission the old terminal server. But we would like to do it in parallel as there are
many users are still accessing to the old terminal server.
    Thanks so much.
    Regards,
    Henry

    Hi Henry,
First you need to gather your licensing paperwork, authorization number(s), license number(s), etc. for your existing licenses.  This step is critical.
Next install RD Licensing on the replacement 2003 server, Activate it using Terminal Server Licensing (licmgr.exe), then install the TS CALs.  If you receive an error when installing the old TS CALs please contact the Clearinghouse and explain
to them you need to install the TS CALs on a new server because the old one is being decommissioned.

Once you have confirmed that the old TS CALs are installed on the replacement 2003 TS then make sure your 2003 TS is set to the correct Licensing mode (to match the type of TS CALs) and you have Specified the name of the new RD Licensing server.
You do this in Terminal Services Configuration (tscc.msc) on the replacement terminal server.
As an alternative you could install the existing TS CALs on a newer RD Licensing server such as Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, etc.  You still will need to have the authorization number(s), license number(s), etc. for the existing 2003 TS CALs.

  • Terminal.app

    Hi,
when starting the terminal.app I am getting this:
    The terminal startup preferences are:
This happens on a very new MacBook Pro, Mavericks 10.9.5 from the very first use of Terminal.app. I am in dire need of using Terminal in order to set up and configure some very specific apps.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

Take it back to the shop where you got it.  Maybe they can reinstall Mavericks for you (and verify that you can use a Terminal session).
Or take it to an Apple Store (after making a Genius Bar appointment).  They should be able to re-install Mavericks for you.
As for no DVD, Apple made that decision back in the Lion days (10.7 - July, 2011 - 3 and a half years ago).
Considering the extent of Internet broadband access these days, and that many of their products do not have DVD, it makes sense going forward.  And the not having a DVD is not just Macs, the iPhones, the iPads, the iPod line, plus the ultra thin, light weight laptops.  Plus fewer and fewer people were even using the DVD drives they have.  I have not put a DVD or CD into one of my systems in ages.  I even replaced one in my iMac with an SSD drive.
And I'll just throw in, that people complained about the original iMac not including a floppy drive.  The reality is that it was no longer suitable for the size of typical files such as music, pictures, and video and Apple just happened to be the first to see that.  Apple built a phone without a keyboard, and everyone said they were crazy and it would not sell without a keyboard.  Now the vast majority of smart phones do not have a keyboard and Apple is the largest company in the world.  Apple took the telephone modem out of their laptops and put in WiFi.  Apple has just released a Mac with a single port (it does a lot with that single port, but it is still a change in what used to be included with a laptop).
The point is that Apple is not afraid to throw away old tech and move forward.  Other companies spend a lot of time and effort supporting old technologies at a cost.
This trend will happen again and again.  That is the reality of buying Apple products.

  • About to have my contract terminated... please hel...

    Hi there
I have receieved a letter from BT today stating that if I do not pay an outstanding balance of £190, my contract will be terminated. I understand this, but unfortunately I have no way of contacting BT to discuss it as my telephone has been cut off. I tried to call them today, but my phone will not ring out. Unfortunately I have no way of paying online as I do not have a debit card, only a basic account.
I really don't want my contract terminated, we live in a rural area and our only service providers would be BT anyway. I'm at a complete loss what to do - is there anyway of asking BT to contact me on my home number?
I would be grateful for any help.
    Thanks

  • Refunds on termination

I've just left BT (line BB & telephone) on the expiry of an 18 month fixed deal - the correspondence from BT during the leaving process was baffling - 3 examples  "Thank you for asking us to change your service"
    Your BT order is complete
You can now start using your BT services.
"We're sorry you no longer need your BT Equipment"
    with none ever mentioning termination....
A week or so later I asked them for the account to the completion date & refund (I'd just paid, by DD, the increased 3 month bill they proposed from the end of the contract period - which, of course, falls due just before the end of the 18 months...) and their respnse was that they bill quarterly so they will refund towards the end of July....
Meanwhile they have posted a few call charges on online billing (though I paid - in advance - for "free" calls) and despite my request for return of the money they owe me, they decline to even produce an account - though I disagree with the dates their advisers quote for the various bits of termination....
Is this reasonable behaviour? Is it even legal?

Yes I have now cancelled the DD - BT have some nice ways of making friends of their ex-customers - for the first time, in this termination process,  I have received a clear message (by SMS) - "You have cancelled your direct debit - a £5 charge has been added to your account". This in circumstances where I believe all services from them ceaased some days ago, and they owe me a substantial balance of my quarterly pre-payment.
Do you think I'm the first person ever to leave them, and they are still learning how to do it? Or is there a more charitable explanantion? Please, I'd hate to think badly of them - I'm (still!!) a shareholder.

  • RF's can't connecting to terminal server.

    Hello,
I having trouble with my new terminal server. I am using RF's (intermec & motorola) in my business and We have two terminal servers that is running with 2008r2 standard. RF's can connect to first terminal server unproblematic  but can't connect
to other one and getting error as "Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer, verify that you are logged on the
network, and then try connecting again"
I can connect to all terminal servers with my domain computer via remote desktop connection.
Own enterprise network has PEAP-WPA2 user authentication
Rf's are not in the domain.
    I need help from you.
    Thanks.

    Hello everyone,
We found a solution regarding this case with microsoft team. Solution is in the following.
    Issue Statement:
Cannot connect RF scanner to a particular server using RDP.
    Symptoms:
    > The RF scanners are Intermec CK3R devices with windows embedded handheld 6.5 classic installed on them. They fail to connect to
a particular server using RDP. However, same user and device can successfully connect to another server. The server to which the device fails to connect is TRKKTA01-N.
    > Never been able to connect to the problem server.
    > Both the good and the bad server are Windows 2008 R2.
    > The Devices are connecting using per user licenses.
    > We can connect to the problem server using a Fat client like Windows 7 machine with the same user ID.
    > both the Problem server and the working server are in the same network but on different VLANs.
    > On the Scanner, when trying to RDP user gets the following error:
"Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer, verify that you are logged on the network, and
    then try connecting again"
    > Already different encryptions have been tried but the connection still fails.
    Environment:
RDS server is Windows 2008 R2. Clients are Intermec CK3R devices and OS is Windows embedded handheld 6.5 classic.
    Scope Agreement:
We will close the case once we find the cause of the RDP failure and provide a possible fix for it.
If the problem is found to be due to third-party code we will provide information to substantiate this.
    Case Status:  Resolved.
Steps used to resolve the issue were:
    1. Create the following reg key on the license server:
    Use512LenPropCert on the Server
    Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\RCM
    Registry entry: Use512LenPropCert
    Data type: REG_DWORD
    Value: 1
    2. De-activate the license server
    3. Re-activate the server using the telephone method
    4. Delete the x509 cert keys from the terminal servers

First things, first: for your safety and protection, please never, ever include any personally identifiable information such as your real name, Skype account name, e-mail address, or a telephone number in a post on a public Community or forum such as this. Thanks!

Hi, Jordan..., and welcome to the Community!
You will need to contact Skype Customer Service directly to enquire if and how your account can be recovered.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
As you know you intend to contact Customer Service, skip past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip past in Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started.

  • Telephone line Extensions over Ethernet via SPA112 ?

I saw a recommendation elsewhere and on this forum suggesting the SPA112 coul be used to extend phone lines (same number) to other rooms over ethernet.
Here is what I want to do:
I have exsiting IP based phone service provided by a company called Talkit (Canada). Talkit provided at Grandstream Handytone 286 ATA and I connected a cordless Nortel analog phone to it. Works ok.
Now I want to put an extension of the same phone number into another room. I purchased two SPA112s to try to do this. I have established ethernet connectivity and I can see and configure both units.
I connetced one unit to the phone line that runs from the Handytone ATA to my analog phone to one SPA112 and a second old analog phone in the second room to the second SPA112.
I made the following config changes:
I upagraded the FW to the latest version on both SPA112 units.
    I set
    Register to No
    Use OB proxy to No
Make calls wo reg to Yes
Ans call w/o reg to Yes.
I was able ot get a dial tone on the second phone but when I dialed out to my cell phone I geta busy signal.
Another issue is that the SPA112 connected to the Handytone ATA seems to stay OFF Hook.
Please advise... or point to a document where I can read about how to set these up.
I am assuming that I do not need to register the spa112s to my service provider proxy bu that rather that two spa112s will simply pass the incoming and outgoing calls thru.
    John

    John,
Both the Grandstream Handytone and the SPA112 are what are called "ATA" devices. "ATA" stands for Analogue Terminal (or in some literature, Telephone) Adapter. That's to say that an ATA device converts from an IP-based voice connection to an analogue voice connection.
The port that you connect your cordless phone to on the Grandstream ATA is, technically, referred to as an FXS port. An FXS port provides dial tone and battery voltage on an analogue line. The compliment to an FXS port, is an FXO port, which expects to have dial tone and battery voltage provided to it. Both the Handytone and the SPA112 have only FXS ports, so they all provide dial tone and battery, and thus are not compatible to be connected directly together.
You would need a device (such as the previously mentioned SPA3102) which features an FXO port on one end of the ethernet connection, and one of your SPA112 ATA's on the other end of the ethernet connection.
If I'm understanding what it is you're trying to accomplish correctly (and I believe I do), there are a couple suggestions I would make.
First off, you can contact TalkIt, and explain that you wish to configure your own ATA device with their service, in addition to the one they provided you. They would need to provide you the SIP proxy and credential information for your phone accounts with them. You would then need to program that information into the SPA112 that is in the second room. As long as that SPA112 can get internet connectivity, it should be able to register with their call server, and you should be able to make and receive calls at the same number as the Handytone ATA, providing TalkIt will allow multiple registrations to the same account.
Secondly, you can contact TalkIt, and explain that you wish to have them provide you an additional ATA configured with the same users / phone numbers as your current unit. Some providers are less prone to provide you with the information required to configure your own device, but they may be open to you purchasing / renting an additional unit that they provide, and configuring it in such a way that it shares the same number as the original ATA device they provided you with.
Thirdly, you can purchase a SIP Gateway device, such as the SPA3102, which would provide an FXO port which you could connect to the FXS port of the Handytone ATA device, and then configure one of your SPA112's to make an IP connection to the SPA3102, and connect an analogue line to that SPA112.
If you're not overly familliar with IP Telephony, I'd probably recommend getting a second ATA from TalkIt, as it would come preconfigured, and you would only have to plug it in for it to work. If they're willing to provide you with the SIP information, you may be able to configure one of the SPA112's that you already have, and just use that to connect to their service. This would probably be the least expensive option, but would require you to perform the configuration of the additional ATA device yourself. The third option, which most closely resembles your initial request, would not involve TalkIt, however it would involve purchasing the additional SIP Gateway device, as well as perform all of the configuration yourself. I, personally, have not configured a SIP Gateway device before, so I don't know exactly how involved that configuration is. Configuring the SPA112 shouldn't be too bad, but again, I've never configured it in exactly the way you're describing, so I can't say for sure. I've only ever used them to connect to a full IP PBX, or else a Hosted service, similar to the TalkIT provided Handytone unit.
Hope this provides a little direction, and wasn't too confusing.
    Randy
