Terrible experience-customer service horrible

Just spent over an hour on the phone with several representatives....alot of time on hold....gr.....my mom passed away and trying to get everything cacelled is a pain. AT and T doesn't make it any easier. In fact I'm glad I'm with Verizon right now. I got passed around and it's ridiculous that the process is so hard, especially having to say it over and over....my mom passed away.....never got the bill resoved b/c the guy supposedly couldn't hear me...funny how everyone else could hear me just fine. And he also wanted to put me on hold. NO!! Not again, just adjust the stupid bill to end when she passed. How hard can it be. And seriously WHY do I have to get passed around to so many people in this situation. Let;s see how hard we can make it. Let's see how crappier our customer service can be! Let's get an award for the crappiest customer service out there and then we'd be at the top of the heap. Oh wait, we already are the worst. And I just experienced it full on. And let's just say that I'd rather go to the dentist than call AT and T.

Follow up: I acquired another VWNE from a local seller, just in case he had to be contacted for the Nuclear Priority Phone Release Code (geez). Ironically, it wasn't necessary, because said fellow had already left Verizon after too many negative customer service issues. Oops.
The good news is that Verizon was able to properly activate the second unit. I was connected to a VWNE tech named Bertha who was VERY helpful and treated me like a human being. Which made all the difference and restored my faith in humanity. I requested that my story be relayed to upper management so that the hordes of secondhand VWNE buyers wouldn't also get burned by Verizon's "hands off and look elsewhere" policy. Bingo. Finally. Done.
Epilogue: Until Verizon eases up on their needlessly stringent policy, beware the unchecked VWNE! Be sure to get the MAC code and check it with a local store/tech support before buying it.

  • Terrible Online & Customer Service Purchase Experience!

Tried to purchase a cell phone online and everything appeared ok. I received the email letting me know the purchase was complete, I then received a 2nd email stating,"We're sorry, but an item on your order placed on July 11, 2014 has been canceled because we were unable to verify your information."
I called the number listed in the email to find out why this occurred and the gentleman I spoke to advised me that he does not have access to that information and would put a request in for someone to get back to me. I asked him how long that would take and he advised me 2-3 weeks!
I hung up with him and called to place the order with a customer service representative instead of using the website. I even used a different credit card just in case. Well, guess what? Exact same scenario happened again!
I finally completed my purchase by visiting the store the following day and used the same credit card that I used the night before.
This is totally unacceptable and Best Buy should be ashamed that they denying customer purchases and unable to tell them the reason why!

    Greetings newmex999-
Welcome to the Best Buy Forums!
Our hope is that everyone who places an order through BestBuy.com has a terrific experience all the way from placing the order to when they receive it and beyond.  I am truly sorry to hear that your particular experiences did not live up to this expectation.
Generally, when you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order, but this is not a confirmation that it will be completed.  Usually when we cancel an order due to being “unable to confirm your information” it is because something in your order information is not matching up.  This could be anything from a misspelling in your billing and shipping information to the billing address on your BestBuy.com account not matching the billing address on your credit card.
To get more specific information, our agents would need to have your case reviewed with our support team, which can generally take about 5-7 business days.  I apologize if the agent exaggerated that it would take 2-3 weeks.  I would recommend that should you choose to place an order again with us in the future, you look over your information to make sure that everything is correct.  This should hopefully eliminate any issues; you can also review our Conditions of Use for BestBuy.com here.
I’m glad to hear that you were able to make the purchase through one of our stores and again, I apologize for any inconvenience that this caused you.
    Thanks for connecting with us.

  • Good Customer Service - Horrible Verizon Reseller

Just had a great customer service experience.  Amanda was really helpful in making changes to my plan and explaining my options.  Very frustrating that the Verizon Reseller misrepresented my options (in many, many ways) - he lost a sale & Verizon almost lost a customer.  Lesson learned, go to a Verizon store and not one of the phone jockeys selling on their own.

  • Terrible Sony Customer Service

    Hi,
I am posting this message here as a first step to create awareness regarding Sony's awful customer service. I stay in Toronto, Canada. My laptop's screen had issues with it and so I wanted to send it in for repair.
I called Sony and they told me they would have a box sent to me which I could use to send them my laptop. As it turned out, the delivery company they used lost the box. Since, I am a research student, I need use of my laptop all the time and not wanting to waste more time, I decided to drop the laptop off at a Sony Repair Center. I call their customer service number and I ask them where I can drop it off. They gave me the following address: 115 Gordon Baker Road Toronto, Ontario. In order to ensure, my trip was not a waste, I decided to call their number associated with this address and ensure that they received laptops for repairs. I called their number, and a lady picked up. Our conversation went as follows:
    Me: Hi, I have a laptop which I wished to ... and before I could complete my question or go any further;
Lady: That is technical support transferring
So, I hung up since I was not interested in talking to the call center guys again as I had just finished talking to them anyway. I call again hoping to be answered with more politeness and patience. This is how the conversation went:
Me: Hi, I just want to know if you accept ..
    Lady: Hung up
And no matter when I call, it would be the same lady. I was so frustrated that I called the call center again and again asked them for a service center address. This time, the customer service representative gives me a different address. I go there and drop off the laptop. I am told definitely within 10-12 days your laptop will be repaired.
Called them after a week and was told they were awaiting shipment of the screen. Part would certainly arrive by next week. Called again in week 3 and was said part would certainly arrive in week4. I told them to give me a definitive date by which the part would arrive at which they say they have no clue. I said you must have atleast a tracking number for the shipment, what kind of a company ships something without a tracking number. So use that number and give me an date and then add the number of days technician needs and give me a final date. Sorry, don't have a tracking or shipment number. But definitely by next week the part will arrive and a technician will call you asap.
Called again week 4, and this time part was to arrive by end of the week for sure. And when part arrived I would certainly receive a call from the technician who would immediately begin work on the laptop. Never received a single call. So, I call again at end of week 4 and this is how the conversation went:
Me: Hi, this is my reference number .... What is the status of my laptop repair?
Rep: Oh, the part arrived yesterday. Your laptop would be ready for pickup by next week.
Me: You told me you would have a technician call me back as soon as you receive the part. From 10 days your repair time has gone to 1 month. What are you doing about that? (And by the way I called on a Friday morning ). Why can't you have it repaired by tomorrow (They are open Saturdays)?
Rep: Sorry, but the technicians don't work on weekends.
( By exactly which definition is Thursday and Friday a weekend, God alone knows.)
Rep: I will tell the technician about your emergency and would see to it that your order gets looked after.
    Me: Ok
At this point I was really angry. So, I called Sony Vaio Customer Support and lodged a complaint against their customer service. They tell me I will receive a call back from them.
I call again that evening. Rep read me the exact same script as before. I am like you already said that in the morning, so is the technician working on my laptop yet or not. Rep says your laptop would be certainly ready by next week. No other response.
Now I was at my wits end. They will simply not take the matter seriously, I did not receive any call back from them. So I call their Sony Vaio Customer Support again. I am talking to the rep and instead of helping me and taking me seriously, he has the audacity to say: We have a lot of Sony promotions going on, would you like to receive the offers by email? I am going in my head, is this guy serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I ask him to connect me to someone with more authority as I am fed up of being lied to and he makes me wait 15 minutes. The new guy says the exact same thing and he is like we can only handle complaints within USA since you are in Canada, the Canadian Complaint Center will call you back within one to two business days -- Meaning not before Tuesday next week. I am like why wont you simply give me their number and I will call them. He is like we don't have that number and kept apologizing,
    Conclusion:
Never purchase Sony products again as they take customer loyalty for granted.
Have zero (I would go further to say negative respect) for customer's needs and very poor and pathetic after sales care.
Have rude and insensitive customer service agents who have no idea regarding the gravity of a situation.
And most amazingly, funny and I would say lousy management if they don't have a clue as to how to contact their customer service center in Canada.
And even yet I still await my poor laptop's return. I had better expectations from Sony but they have done absolutely nothing to live up to those.
If anybody else here has faced a similar problem and found a way to deal with these people, please do share it with me. Your time and help are appreciated.
    Regards,
    a very unhappy customer

I was raised on Sony products, my family has always held their products in high regard. Thats why when got the chance to purchase a new Bravia and Sony BD system I picked it up as fast as I could get to the store.
18 months later and the HDMI output no longer works, only audio half the time/nothing the other half, wont sync with my TV anymore, pretty much useless............hey speaking of useless, Sony's 1 year parts and labour warranty is incredibly useless. If something were to go wrong within the first year it most likely happened right out of the box, and that would be covered by a simple exchange.
Do not purchase a BD system from Sony YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!
I'm out $1000 now, and I could fix it I guess, but after paying all that less than 2 years ago and with the prices as low as they are now it would not be worth the repair. I think it's time for me to start a new relationship with another consumer electronic manufacturer.
Good bye Sony, you once stood for Quality, now I think youre too busy trying to come up with DRM. GET BACK TO YOUR CORE COMPETENCIES BEFORE YOU LOSE ALL BRAND EQUITY!!!!

  • Bad Experience: Customer Service and Automated billing

I signed up for automated billing before my first bill was due on my u-verse and internet services. My online account and the automated telephone services said I was enrolled in auto pay so I assumed that meant my bill would be deducted as I had signed up for. Apparently automated billing can begin anytime and could take "up to 1-2 billing cycles". I signed up for automated billing so I wouldn't have to deal with late fees (we also have automated billing for our cell service through AT&T and have had for years) because we are extremely busy right now. Of course automated billing conveniently doesn't start now and AT&T informs me 10 days after my bill is due. I call Customer Service and the rep acts like I'm ignorant for not knowing that automated billing hasn't started yet and that there will be a late fee. What a nice reward for signing up for automatic bill pay. Most companies give incentives like a percentage off their bill and can figure out how to get the auto pay set up immediately. Not AT&T. They instead pull a "in the fine print" move and tag on a 9.00 late fee for missing your payment. Not happy and we have been loyal AT&T phone customers for years. Will be reconsidering TV and internet services now if this is the direction AT&T's customer service is headed.

Well, they did say it might not work until 1 or 2 bill cycles, so if it was me I'd check online for the bill.
Personally I signed up for autopay to my CC the day after I was installed, but due to being installed on the start of my biling cycle day, I didn't get a bill for 6 weeks.  Even then everything got paid on autopay due to having 2 full cycles on my bill.
Might get some relief from ATT Customer Care, click the ATT Customer Care link in my signature below, send the PM, explain your autopay situation.
Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.
Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck

  • FIOS Voice is terrible. Customer service sucks.

This is the probably the 5th time I have had to get a technician to repair a dead phone line. I do not understand how incompetency of Verizon to repair the oldest technology in communication. I can have great internet service but poor voice.

You're talking to other customers here on this peer-to-peer forum.
I've had nothing but good experiences with FiOS Digital Voice on two lines.
When you have phone line problems, have you tested at the ONT?  There is a telephone jack on the customer access panel in the ONT.  If you plug in a phone and don't get dial tone, it's Verizon's problem.  If you get dial tone, the problem is in the wires inside your home.
Unless you have a wire maintenance plan, Verizon isn't responsible for the wires inside the home.  They will fix problems for a fee, or you can fix it yourself or use your own contractor.
You can find more self-help information here:
    http://www.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Phone/fix.htm
    http://www.verizon.com/support/residential/phone/homephone/general+support/troubleshooting+procedure...
Note that unlike the ONT in the pictures above, many ONTs have phone line plugs with nothing plugged in.  When you plug in a test phone, the wires to the house will be disconnected automatically.  Simply unplug the test phone when finished to restore the connection to the house.
    Good Luck.

  • How Do I  register a complaint against the terrible Adobe  Customer Service Chat line

I waited for over an hour and a half to speak to an expert this morning about a problem I have with my newly purchased Light Room 5bought and installed 2 days ago. I can't get the Plug in manager to work without the Add buttom shutting down the applcation with an error message .
The expert Prianka could not answer the question and asked me to try again in about half an hour  and speak with someone else !.
When I did , I found the Chat option greyed out and unavailable due to high demand ! This is not acceptable from such a big and well established Company .
I am still waiting patiently  nearly 5 hours later to resolve my problem.
Adobe should increase its resources for online support for newly bought products and facilitate a priority  email or chat on-line complaints servce that better needs the needs of its Customers
Can a manager at Adobe please respond to this question with ba prompt and positive  outcome or give me a refund please
    Thanks

  • Terrible Lenovo customer service! Can anyone suggest who I can contact?

I recently purchased a new T500. I received it just under four weeks ago. It was supposed to have been shipped with an ATT Gobi aircard. Instead of the ATT card, it was shipped with a Verizon aircard. I have been going in circles with Lenovo tech support, sales, and post-sales trying to get the ATT card shipped to me so I can replace the other card. Apparently the Lenovo organization is so segmented that one hand has no clue what the other is doing. I was told by a tech support rep three weeks ago that she was having the ATT card shipped to me. After not receiving it, I called back, insisted on speaking to a supervisor, and, after waiting over 30 minutes to reach one, he told me that tech support wasn't authorized to ship a card for a newly purchased system - it was, of course, a sales problem. He assured me that he would escalate the problem, and someone from the "hotline" would be getting back to me in 4-5 hours. Well, 4-5 hours turned in to 26 hours with still no word from anyone at Lenovo. I finally reached the supervisor again (ten days ago), and after being put on hold for a total of 2 hours that afternoon, he transferred me to sales, and they transferred me to post-sales. I spoke to someone in post-sales who told me that they would be shipping the aircard to me. Naturally, it still hasn't arrived.
Can anyone suggest someone in the Lenovo organization who I can contact who 1) knows what they're doing, and 2) can get the correct aircard sent to me? I'm at the point where I'd just like to send back my laptop and go to a vendor that has it's act together.
    Thanks,
    Very Frustrated

I got helped twice (got a free keyboard replacement (bug known ehere) and got set of recovery dvd's) by simply putting my request in their web-based support platform ..... it took 3 days, ..... amazing !!! Regarding support, again and again LENOVO !!! P.S. Patriots, GO !!!

  • Verizon Wireless Network Extender and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Customer Service experience

It was a dark and stormy night...
For the past eight years, I had been happy with Verizon wireless service. Great coverage and rarely a dropped call. However, all of that changed when I moved into a lovely mid-century modern condominium. The solid concrete walls and ceilings were blocking my attempts to communicate with the outside world (i.e. order pizza).
Enter the Verizon Wireless Network Extender! My own personal cell tower! Alas, the VWNE was $250, which was a lot of money. So, being the resourceful recycling advocate that I am, I procured a refurbished one and hooked it up to my network. Then I called Verizon to begin what would soon become one of the Bottom 10 Least Enjoyable Experiences in customer service history (note: obvious foreshadowing).
The first technician I spoke with was Benjamin, who was actually quite helpful. He noted the VWNE's MAC address and other information before attempting to allow me to access my unit. But he could not. Why? Apparently the unit was still registered to another Verizon customer. He told me the matter would be forwarded to "Verizon Correspondence Support" who would contact the registered owner and get their approval to reassign the unit.
A week later, I called in to ask about the status of my request, but was told by Darryl (another tech from the VWNE department) that the "Verizon Correspondence Support" department did not exist. Did. Not. Exist? Fine, I explained the situation again, and Darryl eventually told me he would submit a special access form which may resolve the problem. He apologized for the mixup, thanked me for my patience, and told me to wait 24-48 hours for his return call with the results.
120 hours later, I called to ask about the status of the change access form because I had not received a callback. Michelle, another representative of VWNE support, told me there was no record of this form having been submitted. No. Record...? After which, she made no effort to help me after reading through my transcript. In fact, quite the opposite. To paraphrase...
"I'm sorry we wasted two weeks of your time leading you to believe we had a solution. Actually, there is no Verizon Correspondence Department, there is no special access form, and no tech will be calling you back. Furthermore, I will not allow you to use our unit because the previous owner hasn't filled out Release Form 27B stroke 6. For all I know it might have been stolen. Perhaps by you? I guess we'll never know for sure, because I won't contact the owner for any reason. In fact, there is nothing I can do to help you whatsoever. But if you like, feel free to throw our network adapter in a landfill. Thank you and have a nice day."
OK Michelle, here's the deal. I don't even WANT this doohickey. You see, all I want is for my phone to work. That's why I am calling you. To get THIS piece of your equipment working, at my expense, so that I can continue to be a Verizon customer. Seems like I'm doing my part. Why is this so difficult?
    "Sorry"
Lesson of the story? DON'T BE A MICHELLE. If a customer is in trouble and you can't solve his/her problem, contact a supervisor and work out an alternative. In my example, perhaps Verizon could have provided me with an "official" VWNE? At a discount? Or have a technician sent out to examine the signal? Really, *anything* is better than being brushed off. After being brushed off.
    After being brushed off.

  • I just want to share my experience or rather terrible experience with apple service.....I am soooo disappointed with the apple customer service at the local store in Tampa......every time they give u an appointment and make people wait for hours......ther

I am soooo disappointed with the apple customer service at the local store in Tampa......every time they give u an appointment and make people wait for hours......there was some cosmetic problems with the screen of my Mac book pro....they replaced it but the computer would not turn on....and btw when I went to pick up my computer the representative handover my computer to another guy without checking his id who was there to pick up his phone.......then I had to take it back second time this time they messed up my iWork...I took it back but they couldn't retrieve my history of purchase of iWork...and then when I installed the iWork at home...none of the applications is working.... .I will have to take is back fourth time.....I loved apple products but may be not anymore.......

Other than what Shotist007's remarks (which solves nothing) your experience is not common. First I would speak to the store manager to get things rectified for you. If that doesn't work out then I would contact AppleCare and speak to a customer service representative and complain via that venue.

  • Terrible Transfer Experience - 10+ hours with bad customer service

I've been a Verizon Fios customer for 3 years. For the most part service has been good, though there were a few instances where I've lost internet and cable for no apparent reason for a few days here and there. However, my experience with Verizon Fios over the past few days has been a nightmare. I called Verizon a few weeks ago to tell them that I was moving from an apartment on the 5th floor of my building to an apartment on the 7th floor in the same building. Additonally, I wanted to sign a 2-year contract for phone, tv, and internet. This process went smoothily and my service to my old apartment was to be cut off on 8/10/2012 while the same day my new apartment went get the Triple-play deal on the same day (8/10/2012).
The day finally arrives and Verizon goes 1 for 2 by shutting off my old apartment service (at 6am no less) while not activating my new service. I was told that a servicemen was to be sent between 1pm-5pm. At 4:00pm I call Tech support to check on the status of my order, and they tell me that there are "engineering problems" in my building and there are not enough "ports" for my service, but that a technician is on his way; he's just running late. 6:30pm rolls in and still no contact from a technician or anyone. I call again, 45 minute wait, talk to another support person who tells me the techician is still coming; just running late. It's now 10pm and I call Tech support again. I get tossed around from department to department (Tech Support, Sales, Fiber-Optic installation) and finally I'm told that the "engineering problem" will be resolved in the morning 8/12/2012.
The next morning, 8/12/2012, 11am, no contact at all so I call Tech Support again, 35 minute wait. They now tell me that no technician will be coming out because there's a "serious engineering problem" and they try to schedule me for 8/16/2012. I say that's unacceptable, and that I need a technician out that day (8/12/2012). My customer support puts me on hold for 20 minutes, comes back on the phone, only to hang up on me. I stop trying to call Tech support, and head out of my building around 4pm and right in front of my building is a Fios technician. He says that he's there for another apartment! I ask him about the "serious engineering problems" they're having in my building. He has no idea what I'm talking about and when asked if he'd take a look at our apartments connection, he declines. So at this point, I know I've previously been lied to about my techinical issues and that they couldn't send out a technician until 8/16/2012.
Extremely frustrated, I call customer service tech support again, 45 minute wait, and I talk to Michele who tells me that my order is still pending (yea I figured that) but that it's in the system as only phone and TV, no internet! So it just keeps getting better! She fixes the order to reflect tv, phone, internet and and then connects me to Fios "elite" customer service, to reschedule my technician appointment, and to talk about compensation (first mention of this). I talk to Carolyn{edited for privacy} (SP?) at Elite customer service and she says she is talking to dispatch to get a technician out that day 8/12/2012. I get put on hold for 40 minutes and then Carolyn comes back on the phone to say that she'll give me a call back when a technician has been dispatched. I give her my cell number and say goodbye. Hours go by and no call back. I call back customer service, immediately ask for "elite" customer service. I get put in touch with Ms. C{edited for privacy}. I ask to be put in touch with Carolyn, but Ms. C{edited for privacy} has no idea who I'm talking about.  I tell Ms. C{edited for privacy} my story (pretty angrily at this point). I request that she tell me the employee numbers of the people that have worked on my account the past couple of days so that I can make a formal complaint. Ms. C{edited for privacy} tells me my account has only been notated once (the 10pm call I made on 8/10/2012). Ms. C{edited for privacy} offers to reschedule my technican but offers first again 8/16/2012. I say no way, and then she offers me 8/12/2012. I accept reluctantly.  I also inquire about the compensation Carolyn mentioned, and Ms. C{edited for privacy} says that she can't discuss that until installation is complete. Ms. C{edited for privacy} says she'll call me Monday (8/13/2012) to make sure installation went accordingly I ask Ms. C{edited for privacy} for a direct line of contact so I can call her. She gives me the number 443-436-3954. I ask her "Are you sure this is a direct line and I won't be on hold for 45 mintues". She says of course. Turns out this number is a voice mailbox number and doesn't put me in touch with anyone.
Sunday 8/13/2012 rolls around. Our techinican shows up on time (hallelujah!!). Lloyd, our technician, is the first Verizon Fios representative who's on top of his stuff. He quickly deduces that the "serious engineering problem" was simply that the people that lived in the apartment before us did not cancel their subscription. Therefore, they were taking up the "port" we needed for service. Lloyd does his job, and in under 2.5 hours. We have TV and internet, but no phone because Lloyd's technical support needs to do some things on their end.
So the tally at the end of this awful expereience:
    1) 10+ hours of calling customer service, tech support, fiber optic installation, sales, and "elite" customer service.
    2) Over 5 hours of wait time.
    3) Spoke with 12-15 representatives with 3-4 different stories for my problem.
    4) Complete failure of communication from Fios.
    5) TV and internet installed 2 days late
    6) Phone still uninstalled
    7) Too many lies to count
I am debating if I should just switch at this point, but I'm not sure if Verizon will penalize me (like they haven't done enough already!) . Anyone know if there's a grace period at which to cancel without penalty? Also Moderators, can you please have someone from your "super duper elite" customer service call me cause this issue is still not resolves and I still need to file a formal complaint either with your corporate office or my state business bureau.
    Exhausted,
    Mike

I recently received my Verizon wireless bill.  I went to pay it with a gift card that I received from upgrading to the new iPhone.  It had a little over $91 left on it.  When I went to pay, the card would not cover the entire bill, and it told me to enter the amount I wanted credited.  I entered the full $91+ in the system and pressed enter.
The system started thinking and then about 45 seconds later, I got the message that "the system was currently experiencing problems- please try again later"
I waited 20 minutes and went back into the account.  The bill was still there and I went to pay by gift card and now the system told me I had $0 dollars left on it.  That is when the fun started.
I spoke to 4 different people in customer service.  The first person dropped my call. The second told me to call the number on the back of the card (I told them that Verizon never sent me a card but sent me an email).  They told me to call the one number on the email.  I did and that number offered no options to actually talk to anyone but the computer was kind enough to tell me my card had zero balance.  I called the regular customer service again, pressed the option for billing and got routed into tech support (no clue how that happens).  This person had no clue how to help me so they transferred me to another person who really had no clue how to help me.  They did say they would escalate my issue to internal support and I would get an answer in 24-48 hours.
Now we are 48 hours later and I have heard nothing.  What the hell Verizon?!?!?!
How can you not be taking care of this in a timely manner?  I am extremely disappointed at the level of service you are providing.  Honestly, when did you guys become as bad as Comcast in helping customers get issues resolved?
Oh  and don't get me going about why I needed to even go into the sytem 2 times to apply my gift card credit.  Why couldn't I just apply the entire amount and have a credit on my account for the next bill?  Would that have been so tough?

We want to ensure you get the complete support that you deserve, tonymess! I apologize for the experience. I would love the opportunity to review the account in detail to determine the results of the previous investigation and work to get this resolved! • Terrible customer service experience and I will leave Verizon ASAP.

I had the worst experience with Verizon ever . I never had such a unprofessional and humiliating experience before... I got an email from Verizon saying they will upgrade my plan free of charge and no need any action since I m loyal customer. After couple days my plan did not change and I had to call Verizon. They customer service Rep told me That Verizon made a mistake(?) and send me a wrong email. She read the email and confirmed that Verizon telling at the  email that they will upgrade my plan "free of charge" clearly. since I have been informed by Verizon that my plan will be upgraded free of charge by mistake or not, I asked her that Verizon should stand behind their email and honer me upgrading my plan. She said she wont do this. I was trying to explain why they should honer me,  she told me "shut up". I got so up sad and asked her to transfer me to cancellation department. she said she is the cancellation department supervisor and " tell me your number I will cancel your line". I got shocked and decided to stop this conversation. Next day I called Verizon again to talk another Rep.I explained him my situation. I forwarded the email Verizon sent  to me to him. After he read the email he said" definitely you are right, email says my plan will be upgraded and if he were in my situation he would do the same thing and ask Verizon to honer him. He said he ll elevate my complain to higher manger, and I will get a phone call in 24 hours. Guess what?? i never got  a phone call. Lucky I had the email address of him. and emailed him about what happened,He said he will call me in a min.. Guess what? he did not call me .. I sent him couple emails asking him to call me. After an hour he had to call me and he said I m not going to get upgrade you plan . Clearly he never got my complain to the upper management . He denied the phone conversation between us the previous day. ( I know Verizon record all the phone conversation). After another an hour unproductive phone call , he said somebody from upper management will call me tomorrow morning. I never get any phone call. I do have names of both Rep.  I m really so angry to Verizon I have been their customer for a long time including Fios. I will cancel my line and go to T-Mobile or At&T. Also I will carry this case to  Bureau of Consumer Protection. I suggest everybody switch to another provider ASAP

Well besides your lack of paragraphs making you rant very hard to read, exactly what kind of "upgrade" were they talking about? And no I'm not switching to another carrier just because you have issues with Verizon. Was that the whole point of your rant to get people to switch? Like you're some pied piper and you're going to "get back" at Verizon by helping them lose customers? As if that was going to work and even if a few people left because some stranger on a messagebaord told them too because of HIS issues like that will matter at all to Verizon.

  • Horrible Customer Service Experience

The level of  service we have experienced was sextremely bad and the customer service was HORRIBLE.  I have been a verizon customer for years.   We recently switched over to FIOS after being contacted by a representative who advised us it was now available in our area.  We mentioned we've had satelite service with another carrier for more than 16yrs and would not likely be willing to change unless their package could mirror our existing services without additional cost, & the internet speed would increase.      Needless to say, we made the switch after being assured we had the highest package verizon offered along with the highest speed with FIOS as well as the same premium channels.   After a few months we noticed the speed of our internet was nothing different than our previous service.  I actually began having trouble logging into my lap top unless I was in the same room as the router..  Nonetheless we didnot call to complain thinking it was just because the service was new to the area and would improve.   Well I saw a commercial that said you could upgrade to Verizon Quantum by just turning to the Verizon Channel and clicking on the upgrade.. Thinking I would get a message or email that stated we already had the service, I did just that only to find it allowed the upgrade.   the increase to he bill.   I thought we would be notified that new equipment due to the upgrade would be issued, but there was nothing.   Not to mention still no improverment to the speed.   So I contacted them , to address the issues and most importantly ask why a new router had not been sent or offered despite the upgrade to the speed.  I was told my current router was "compatible" with the Quantum speed but that I could receive a new Quantum router for an additional $2.00 a month...????????-- If my current router is compatible why would I need to do that ???? not to mention if there is a QUANTUM ROUTER, WHY WOULD THAT NOT HAVE BEEN SENT WHEN THE SERVICE WAS UPGRADED.   After some back and forth I was told by the Representative Miranda that I could go to one of their stores to turn in my old router and pick up a Quantum router that same day . She provided me with an order number as well as the address to the store.. Not more than an hour later I drove to the store only to be told, my order appeared in the system but not as a "store pick up" . Jonas , the store manager provided me the tel# to contact Verizon to make the easy change as he described it.    The gentleman I spoke to over the phone , told me there was nothing he could do because THE ORDER WAS BEING SHIPPPED .... AND I WOULD RECEIVE IT BY MONDAY..  As I became more livid , I advised them, that was unacceptable.  The gentleman over the phone who was extremely difficult to understand told me two more times the order was marked to be shipped and there was nothing he could do.   I demaned he create a new order, one that would allow me to do what I was previously instructed to do - which was to turn in my older router at the store and pick up a new one.     I was placed on hold several times, to dead silence.  The gentleman on the phone would come back to the line only after I continually would say Hello, are you still there. I asked to speak to a supervisor on several occasions but was never allowed to.  The gentleman on the phone then told me , I would likely not be able to pick the router up today even if he changed th order... I advised him I was just told by the instore Verizon Representative that he had plenty in stock and the only thing that needed to be done was to make the order a store pick up.     After being put on hold again , to dead silence. the gentleman on the phone told me, I would be happy to know HE was able to create a new order.  I was given another order number and told I could turn in the router to receive the new QUANTUM ROUTER. I walked ten steps back inside the store , gave the in store representative the new order number and was told he could no locate it in the system.  At that point I handed by cell phone to the instore representive for him to work out whatever internal issues there seemed to be with the hard to understand gentleman over the phone.  After they determined they were working off of two different systems, Coffee something compared to Coffee something else. the instore representative stated he would enter the order manually and I would be given the new router.   Well. I received the new Quantum router.. immediately came home to install it and NOTICED AN IMMEDIATE DIFFERENCE in the speed of the internet service, despite again being told my current router was compatable.. NOT TO MENTION MY LAP TOP WAS RECEIVING AN ADEQUATE SIGNAL IN ALL AREAS OF MY HOME.    This goes without saying how deliberate and misleading Verizon can be and has been with the offering of their services.

Despite all the frustration, I am pleased to hear you received a solution to your problem. This gives me new hope for my current situation. Congratulations!

  • Never buy a Sony Ericsson for it's Customer Service ? What do you think ?. Terrible experience. Please advise.

Hi , my name is Jomon Philipose . I am from Bangalore and a victim of poor workmanship and service  of Sony Ericsson C905A. It was not even 6 months that the camera , for which I bought the set showed it's true colours. "Open Lens Cover problem in Sony Ericsson phone". Yeah , just try and put that on Google and see the number of negative matched results for it !!!!!!. Guess should have read the reviews for Sony Ericsson before spending 12000 INR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.It's not only your hard earned money but the free frustration that you get for no fault of your own .. Taking it to the service centre is the only option where they tell you to repair it in 7 days but takes 2 weeks forcing you to buy a new phone if you do not have one. Forget all the re syncronisation and setting that you have to do about it, and think about the responses that you get from the Service Centre , in do not know what language. Caution : If you talk to them for more than hour it's hazardous to your spoken English .
All you get to hear is the recorded tone of "Please wait for 48 hours " Even after you call them after 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
No response to the Work Order complaint (SE311SS211175) what so ever . This is a crazy customer service !!!!!!! . I will definately never buy a Sony Ericsson no matter how good a phone reviews are  . Neither will let anyone whom I know buy it and put in best efforts to awaken them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .
I have logged innumerable complaints at with Legal Feedback , Media Feedback , send an email to [email protected]@support.sonyericsson.com>
Don't believe me ? , well you would have if you had heard the conversation with the Shrishti Services guys who tells me that neither " can they give the phone on time " or " Will they return it to me unrepaired!!!!!!". At one point of time I thought , the phone was Sony Ericsson's intellectual property!!!!.
My phone is under Warranty . I am being told by the Sony Service Contact Centre guys over and again that my phone is not liable to change WO Number : SE311SS211175 old Work order : Se311SS210347. Request number for the replacement of the product
    90599712.
They tell me I cannot speak to the escalations  manager . Neither can I escalate it .
Is it  that all I have to do is keep on waiting without my phone ?. It's been the 17 th Day now . I am sure it is going to take a lot more time . They shamelessly said 8 more working days yesterday lol!!!!!
I am definitely seeking help from the Consumer Court of India  .
Guys ,lucky you if you had not to face the Customer Service Centre especially in India ,  or else may God help you .
I really want to hear from the people who actually think there job is "Customer Care" and they are been paid for it coz I am still without a phone.

If you think you are lucky go ahead and buy it,maybe by this time you could have already bought it  coz God forbid something happens to it, you do not have a  good customer service to support it.  After getting my phone back , not surprisingly again for the 4 th time the camera stopped working . It's a faulty product altogether and I do not want to go through the pains again to go through them . They are supposed to check the set again within 90 days from the time , the repair was carried out. But you know what I have given up  on them as my work does not allow me to keep my phone away for a long time .
It would be a real pain in the place you know where .  All my research for buying a good phone at competitive price went straight into the gutters .
. I would rather buy a new phone than going through the same process again for the 4 th time. And that would not be a Sony Ericsson for sure. They simply wouldnt agree that it is a faulty set and give me all kinds of stupid excuses like your phone has been used for 11 months and all . I have a question for them do you really spend thousaands for a just a phone only for the features or the peace of mind as well. Cause this one has definitely not brought peace to me . I mean c'mon 4 th time, same problem!!!!!!!
